End of release interval without new document version

Hello experts,
Is it possible to establish an end date for the release interval without having a new document version?
We have a document that has been released and we want to indicate an end date but we don’t have ( and never will ) a new version of the document.

Correct me if i understood wrong?
You don't see any value populated in "Valid To" field in your system? As per the logic this value has to populated all ways with "31.12.9999" for all the Released status documents.
If it is blank in your system, try to implement SAP Note :- 481878.
If the value is populated but you want to modify it, then you can try to implement an Implicit Enhancement in function module "CV115_DOCUMENT_VALID_DATES", there is an Implicit Enhancement available before the ENDFUNCTION statement. Impliment and modify the dates in "DATES" table.

Error in creating Document versions

Hi All,
I am working in SAP ERP 6.0 EHP 4.0 system.
I have problem in creating new document versions.
I create a document with functional location and specify the mpd cycle. Then when i try to create a new version by copying the contents created from already created document.I change the MPD cycles in the new version and save it.
once when i display the first document created the mpdcycle specified in version 001 is copied to the 000 version.
The document is inconsistent where versioning of document doesnot work properly.
The problem which i found was the document identification guid remains the same for all the document versions getting created.The last documet version value is stored in the all the previous document versions.
The same is working fine in SAP ERP6.0 EHP3.0 sytem.
Please someone help me in resolving the above issue.

I have resolved the issue myself. I have replied with answer for the above question.
Below is the solution for my issue
There is a change in the standard code.The reason for the above problem was because of a missing Enhancemnet point in a standard function module 'CV110_DOC_CREATE_WITH_TEMPLATE'.

Created a custom enhancement point similar to SAP ECC6.0 EHP 3.0 system.
The reason was the buffer was not getting cleared previously.After inserting the above code the DIR's are getting created withot any issues.

About DIR release interval problem!

Dear experts:
now met a problem about DIR release interval. the fellowing is actual business secenario:
1.create and release a DIR of beginning version A at 08.09.2010.
2. create and release a DIR of version B in according of ECR/ECO, and the ECR/ECO's valid date from is 07.09.2010.
3. after the DIR of version B was released,the release interval of the version A DIR was become 08.07.2010-07.09.2010.
but on the theory,because the ECO's valid date from is 08.11.2010,then the release interval of the version A document should be 08.09.2010-08.11.2010, why it was 08.07.2010-07.09.2010, where did the 07.09.2010 come from?

honestly I'm a bit confused because of your description. You wrote that the 'valid from' date of the ECR/ECO is 07.09.2010
and normally this date is also used for the release interval of the document info record.
But then you mentioned the 08.11.2010 as valid date from for the ECO. So could you please clarify which is the valid from date of the change number in transaction CC03.

RMS: PHIO attriburtes for document versions

Hi,
I have created some custom attributes in DMWB, and attached them to my documents in the DMWB. I have put them as PHIO attributes, as I want them to be version dependent.
It works ok at the first time. I create a new document, and in the attribute window, my new attributes appear. I can enter values on them and save them.
The problem comes when I create a new version from this same document. It doesn't ask me for any attributes, it saves it directly without showing the attribute window. If I go to edit the version attributes, I can see that my custon attributes have no value (ok), and I can change them and saves them ok, but I have to do it with this second step. I think that as PHIO attributes, version dependent, the system should ask me for the attributes whenever I create a new version, but it doesn't. Even though I have put the attributes as obligatory, to try to force the system, the system doesn't ask me for the attributes when I create new document versions. Any idea why it does not ask for them?

How to open newer Mediathek Version with Aperture?

I want to open my iPhoto Mediathek with Aperture but Aperture says that it isn't possible because the iPhoto Mediathek was created by a newer version of iPhoto which isn´t supportet by this version of Aperture. I don't know what to do?

Then you are in bad fix. With that combination you are no longer able to open the library in Aperture.
You will have to wait for a new Aperture update, that will be compatible with your current Beta-version of iPhoto. Hopefully that will come with the release of the new MacOS version this autumn.
There is no supported way to downgrade your library back from that version to make it compatible with the current Aperture 3.4.5. Restore your Aperture library from your backup, and let iPhoto 9.4.7 not touch it again. The safest way would be to revert iPhoto back to 9.4.3 as well.
Anyway, we are not allowed to discuss pre-release software here in the public forums.

I generally use, and start with english, but the defualt new document is always set to all the arabic settings, which is a nightmare.
How do i make english the defualt type (and all the paragraph and language options) while retaining the functionaility of arabic version.
I've found instructions for CS2-6 but nothing remotely sensible about CC, and presume i'm missing something really really obvious.

KM Document transport from 2004 to 2004s without losing the versions

Hello,
We have a problem to transport our documents from the KM in 2004 to the KM in 2004s without loosing the versions.
We cant use ICE because we would lose the versions.
And we dont want migrate the 2004 system to 2004s. We have both systems already running parallel.
I hope some one can post an alternative way for this transport.

I did not test this, but...
If you are in FSDB mode, maybe you can copy the entire folder of the 2004 portal to the 2004s one.
You will lose autorisations in the portal, but the versions should be there.
If you are not using FSDB, maybe you can give a try with webdav.
Until someone tell me that I'm wrong...

You could try disabling hardware acceleration. If you are unable to access the setting in Options > Advanced > General, you could change the setting for "layers.acceleration.disabled" to true in the prefs.js file in the profile.

If you bought CS6, then there is no upgrade. CS6 is the last standalone version. whether or not you may be entitled to some CC discounts, if you want to go that route, is only something sales support can tell you. If they're feeling generous, they may give you one or two months completely free, but realyl, you have to contact them....

Document Status is 'Released', release Interval is showing 'Not Released'

I crearted a Document Type.
I'm able to create a document with the type. Though the Document Status is released, the release Interval (which is next to the Document Status) is showing as 'Not Released'.
How do I change this to released (or), can it be hidden.
Please suggest a solution.

Though the Document Status is released, the release Interval (which is next to the Document Status) is showing as 'Not Released'.
This behaviour can be corrected by setting/checking the 'Release Flag' attribute for the released status defined for this Document Type.The path is SPRO > IMG > CA comp. > DMS > Control Data > Define Document Types > Select the Doc Type in question and go to Define Document Status.

How can I convert an old Numbers file to be compatible with the new Numbers version, without having access to the old?

I received a Numbers file created in iWorks version 8 or earlier, but only have the newest version of Numbers on my MacBook Air. I can't request the sender to reformat the file. Is there any way to convert the file so I can open it in the new Numbers version?

Are you sure you don't still have Numbers from iWork '09 on your MacBook Air. My Mid 2012 does. To be certain you can look in the Applications folder to see if there is an iWork 09 folder. You can also use Spotlight search to see if it will find that Numbers as well as the current one.
