End of Trial

I've been using Elements 5.0 for some time, and downloaded the trial version of 6.0. My trial is nearing the end.
I have not found any advantages in 6.0 compared to 5.0. I don't find that there's anything about 6.0 that induces me to buy the upgrade. I assume that when Adobe released 6.0 that they did incorporate some changes, improvements or new features.
What am I missing? What feature am I not taking advantage of?
For clarification, I don't use Organizer at all so I don't know if there are improvements there. I don't use Elements to process RAW files. I use Elements only to adjust and edit images.

No, I haven't tried Group Shot. For the shot you describe, I'd find the person with the closed eyes in another photo (I always shoot multiple images with a group shot and shoot in "Continuous" mode with my Nikon D40), put that in a layer behind the dupe of the original, bring down the opacity of the dupe layer, do a bit with Free Transform, and erase with a soft brush over the face working at a high magnification. Similar to working with a Layer Mask in the full PS. If Group Shot works better, I'll give it a shot.
I've patched images together many times. With two highly active grandchildren, getting both "camera ready" at the same time is not easy.
My reaction to Barb's comment was based on the fact that of course I know that I don't *need* to upgrade, and telling me that I don't need to sounds a bit snippish. I'm just looking for reasons that so far are not apparent where an upgrade would be of benefit.
I think I've checked out all the tools, but you never know.

YOu need to be clear about the products you are using, so we can help you. In particular there is no trial of Adobe Reader, it is free and keeps running. Sounds like you are using some versions of Acrobat - which?
YOu must properly uninstall the trial, don't just delete files or you may get a mess impossible to recover.

How to properly end the Trial so PSCS resumes automatically?

Photoshop CC trial ended. Not continuing. Default will not return to CS4 although i reset the default. I deleted PS CC. How can i return to CS4 and have it open automatically as default?
Perhaps it took shutting down, but this morning the CS4 default is opening automatically and I no longer get the Box telling me that my trial has expired (in Dec, I think).
Did I do that by deleting the PS CC application?? Or is there a time limit on how often Adobe reminds you that the trial has ended and do you REALLY, REALLY not want to subscribe. Is there a correct way to end the Trial and return to CS?

Removing the key or uninstalling the key does not recapture the activation, if you use up the number of activation for a particularly key you would have to call to activate again with that key.

What version of the CC Manager app are you running on the computer that has CC installed?
To be licensed you need to be logged into the CC Manager app on the computer you’re running PS-CC on and that login needs to be the one associated with the paid subscription.
Are you able to see that a subscription is active if you login to http://creative.adobe.com/ and check you’re My Account details using the little arrow next to the “head” icon at the upper-right?

I am nearing the end of my trial period of CR Developers edition which I am using with VS2005.
I have posted to this forum to try and solve a problem (http://technicalsupport.businessobjects.com/cs/forums/thread/820.aspx) with x-y graphs. I have received no response to my questions and therefore I must conclude that CR is not able to produce the simple xy charts that I require.
Since posting that enquiry I have also tried to create a line chart of data and there does not appear to be a way of making a line chart have a time axis (I can select calander and choose the smallest time step as days) but I need to plot data for each minute of the day and have the axis labelled as hh:mm.
This is a shame because I have found other aspects of CR report design to be fairly intuitive.
I am likely to resort to the Reporting Services in VS2005 as it will do the graphs (but I fear the grouping is not as simple).
Before rejecting CR I would like to know if this is a limitation of CR or of my knowledge of CR.
Any thoughts on CR graphing time series data and scatter data?

I am not sure which part of my post you are referring to so I will deal with teh time based data.
The data is simply one record per minute for several parameters. I wish to plot each record as a new point on the line as I would in Excel. I have 1440 records (1 per minute of the day) and wish each record to be the next point on the line. I then want to label the x axis using hh:mm.
I think that this is linked to the problem with XY graphs. It appears that you must summarise the data to use a graph in CR, I do not want a summary, I want the actual data to be plotted.

Acrobat Pro end of trial offer - impossible to use

My trial ended and up popped this window.
After long mulling decided it was worth giving it a go for a year, even though monthly subscriptions for software are really not appealling to me.
I click on subscribe now.
But nothing goes into my basket.
I've wasted too much of my precious time on it now.
I can play with PDFs using cheaper options instead.
But really Adobe - with no obvious e-mail contact method to help people spend their hard-earned money, you're really letting yourselves down.

You may also purchase the full product. At this point you have to start out with the subscribe order and then in the order page you should find a menu where you can change to the full product, rather than the subscription. Your comment about subscription suggested this might be a preferred path. Sorry, but Adobe has really messed up the order stuff, making it difficult for folks to find the full product or options.

Bridge after end of trial version of Photoshop CS4

Hello, I'd like to install Photoshop CS4 trial. I understantd that Photoshop will not work after 30 days. But will Bridge CS4 continue to work after the end of the trial ?

Bridge is not a stand alone product, but a part of Photoshop. So if CS4 quits they all quit.

The trial will expire after 30 days.
To uninstall your trial version, close any open Adobe software on your computer and do the following:
In Windows, open the Windows Control Panel and double-click Add or Remove Programs. Select the product you want to uninstall, click Change/Remove, and then follow the onscreen instructions.
In Mac OS, double-click the product installer in Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers. Authenticate as an administrator, select Uninstall Components, and then follow the onscreen instructions.

End of trial and no serial number for Illustrator after payment.

Hi, my trial has ended and this morning I paid for a monthly subscription. I've received a confirmation email with an order number but no serial number and this is 7 hours later. Does anyone know how long it will take to receive a serial number and therefore be able to use Illustrator as I need to use it urgently. Thanks in advance for your help.

End of trial...now what?

Any suggestions?....I downloaded the trial, love it, and completed several projects. The trial ended Saturday. I assumed a notice would be sent to me about purchasing. There was nothing. Now, is all my work just gone? ...or does anyone know what I can do about purchasing the trial's serial number?

Not to worry, hausof5, your work is still safe and sound in the LR catalog! You can simply purchase a license from Adobe, enter the serial number they give you and complete your projects.

Installed Master Collection CS6 reporting end of 'trial' not accepting serial key.

I have had my Master Collection CS6 installed on my Windows 8 computer for a year and it now tells me the 'trial' is finishing in two days and my serial key which is registered with Adobe is not being accepted.

Brand new 30 day trial not working

I bought the Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard for an educator 2 days ago at the Apple Store when we bought our new iMac. Installed it last night and emailed the documentation to Adobe, knowing I could use the software with the 30 day trial and be ready for class on Monday and a proposal I have to do for work today. However, when I opened Acrobat today, it says I have 0 days of the trial left and need to enter the serial number.
Can I uninstall and reinstall? Adobe closed today and I need to alter a PDF document before Monday morning @ 7:00. Please help.

I just freshly installed the trial version of the Master Collection as well and at the first instance I tried opening a programme, it said I had 0 days left, and I haven't done anything to the mac except install the standard mac stuff, office for mac, and then download the CS5.5 trial from the adobe website and installed it within the past 12 hours =/. (My mac is fresh from the box..)
Is it a bug error or is adobe ending all trials early?
(I actually want to try OnLocation at a shoot today but I'm more worried about my macbook being incompatible with the collection so may need to be swapped for a higher level one at the moment.)

Illustrator (trial) won't work

I downloaded illustrator (trial) yesterday and it worked great, now it's asking me to uninstall, will I be able to install the trial version again?
Or how can I fix this error? I'm using Windows 7

What is the exact error message? If only the program components have been damaged, a reinstall should fix things, but of course there could be something going on with the licensing as well, which in turn may end your trial prematurely...

I had acrobat standard and wanted to trial the adobe XI Pro. When downalding the free 30 day trial I deleted the standard by mistake. How do I get this back at end of trial without having to pay again?
