End user license agreement for Flash Player 10.1

Using Window XP, Athlon 64 processor, FIrefox 3.6.10, Adobe Reader 9.3.2.
Every few day I get a popup update reminder and begin the process to update. I get to the point that I need to agreeing to the license agreement. I click the link to view the license ageement and arrive at the Adobe product license agreements page (http://www.adobe.com/products/eulas/#flash_player) but when I click on the link for Adobe Flash Player 10.1 (PDF, 3.3M) it opens a blank PDF window (http://www.adobe.com/products/eulas/pdfs/PlatformClients_PC_WWEULA_Combined_20100108_1657. pdf). Eventually I get the error "There was a problem reading this document (14). The license agreement for version 10 and 9 open as expected.
I have tried going directly to the document with the same results.
I have been trying for quite some time but I keep getting a blank document. The information leading up to this stage makes it clear that I must agree to the license and it is a leagally binding agreement but I can't agree to something that I can not read. Any suggestions?

That's not helping, Vikas.
I'm having the same problem. I'm not agreeing to something I can't even READ. That's just being stupid...
...and these other threads about serious issues with this update are discouraging...
When I saved the PDF and tried to open it, I get:

  • How do I sign end-user license agreement for Adobe Reader?

I have downloaded and installed Adobe Reader but when I attempt to open a pdf document I get a message that I need to agree to an end-user license agreement and relaunch Reader.  I can't find an End-user license agreement ANYWHERE or find any details on Adobe's website to find it.  Please help, I desperately need to open PDF's on My Mac laptop.

You need to start the Adobe Reader application by itself (not in the browser), then accept the EULA.

Can you provide Microsoft baseline security analyzer(MBSA) End user license agreement for reference?

Forgive me for asking, is the EULA not presented as one of the first pages in the installation wizard?

  • End User License Agreement, Safari 9.0.4, No Adobe Acrobat installed

When I try to open a PDF document from a link within Safari (Mac OS 10.9.3, Safari 9.0.4), I keep getting a warning that I must accept the End User License Agreement for Adobe Acrobat.  I do not have Adobe Acrobat.  This happened after I migrated all my files to a new Mac.  I have no idea how to get out of this and I need to be able to read these documents inline rather than downloading.  I already have accepted the EULA so please do not suggest that.

Well, did you launch Adobe Reader from your applications and accept it there?

  • How do I access the End User Licensing Agreement? I clicked on it and it gives me a message that I need to launch Adobe Reader, accept and close and reopen. Trouble is I can't get to an icon for file to launch. I am working on a Mac and have installed Mac

I am using a Mac and have installed Adobe Reader for Mac, latest version. I cannot access the End User Licensing Agreement. I clicked on it and it gives me a message that I must launch Adobe, check that I agree, close and reopen. The problem is I can't find any way to launch Adobe because it appears nowhere on my launch pad, nor in my document files or on the control panel. Because of this, I cannot print bank statements nor can I get into my insurance companies billing department to make a payment. HELP!

Hi Pat.  I've done that, it opens up the install window again.  If I click on install it says it's already installed.  Nothing comes up that allows me to accept the end user agreement.  I just retried and the same thing happens.
    I appreciate your help.

  • Error message for PDF files "accept the End User License Agreement, then Quit and relaunch the browser"?

Whenever I try to view a PDF file, I'm getting the error message "Before viewing PDF documents in this browser you must launch Adobe Reader and accept the End User License Agreement, then Quit and relaunch the browser." I have the new Adobe Reader but am still getting this message.

Even after launching Reader and accepting the EULA? Most strange.

I am getting this response when I am trying to open a file: Before viewing PDF documents in this browser you must launch Adobe Reader and accept the End User License Agreement, then Quit and relaunch the browser.”  What do I do?  I have opened this up in the past without a problem.

    Back up all data.
If Adobe Reader or Acrobat is installed, there should be a setting in its preferences such as Display PDF in Browser. I don't use those applications myself, so I can't be more precise. Deselect that setting, if it's selected. Otherwise do as follows.
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):
    /Library/Internet Plug-ins
    In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have "Adobe" or “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present. The same goes for a plugin called "iGetter," and perhaps others.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

Nothing to do with the download; you need to open Adobe Reader once after the install is complete, and accept the EULA.

  • End User License Agreement + Safari 7

I get this message when trying to open a PDF in Safari 7.0.2 in OS 10.9.2
Before proceeding you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the End User License Agreement.
    Please advise ASAP
I spent my entire day trying to find an aswer how to slove this question. Your "chat support" is certinly not very helpful.

    Odd...
    I'd recommend:
    1. Download and install Reader - http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
    or
    2. Go to: Mac HD/Library/Internet Plug-ins and trash the AdobePDFViewer.plugin and AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin files and let Preview be your default viewer for PDFs in Safari.
The former being easier and better of the two.

  • I get a message saying: "Before proceeding you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the End User License Agreement". HELP!!

Hi i have an iMac with  10.9.3 and when i tried to open a PDF link or a PDF document in Safari 7.0.4  this message appears: "Before proceeding you must first launch Adobe Acrobat and accept the End User License Agreement".  What can i do to solve this?

Back up all data before making any changes.
Please take each of the following steps until the problem is resolved.
    Step 1
If Adobe Reader or Acrobat is installed, and the problem is just that you can't print or save PDF's displayed in Safari, you may be able to do so by moving the cursor to the the bottom edge of the page, somewhere near the middle. A black toolbar should appear under the cursor. Click the printer or disk icon.
    Step 2
There should be a setting in the preferences of the Adobe application such as Display PDF in Browser. I don't use those applications myself, so I can't be more precise. Deselect that setting, if it's selected.
    Step 3
If you get a message such as ""Adobe Reader blocked for this website," then from the Safari menu bar, select
    Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
    and check the box marked
    Allow Plug-ins
    Then click
    Manage Website Settings...
and make any required changes to the security settings for the Adobe PDF plugin.
    Step 4
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
    /Library/Internet Plug-ins
    In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens by pressing command-V, then press return.
From the folder that opens, move to the Trash any items that have "Adobe" or “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari.
    Step 5
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it, if it's present. The same goes for a plugin called "iGetter," and perhaps others—I don't have a complete list. Don't remove Silverlight if you use the "Netflix" video-streaming service.
    Step 6
Do as in Step 4 with this line:
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari.

    Hi Tbeirne,
If you just want to save a pdf opened in Safari to your machine use the save as option from within the Reader plugin window. Just click on any of the buttons highlighted in below screenshots to Save a pdf at any location on your machine.
    or
To summarize the issue, if you had opened an Internet PDF in a browser plug-in, you must use the save feature in the plug-in, not the Safari File > PDF Export, or File > Save As...
Please let us know if this solution works for you and you are able to save and view PDFs files locally.
