Endemic FON/Openzone Issues: Advertising Standards...

I've posted issues with FOn/BTO a couple of times, and no-one has been able to help with a solution.
All that I get is 'Me Too' replies.
A trawl through the posts indicates that the only problems consistently 'Solved' are the ones to do with unsubscribing from FON.
This says to me that this offering from BT is not fit for purpose.
One of the reasons I switched to BT rather than another ISP was the concept of access out and about.
I am seriously thinking of complaining to the Advertising Standards Authority. What do others think?

I have no problem connecting to BTFON/OPENZONE when out and about with HTC desire. just set phone app with username and password maining sure to use primary email and also btinternet.com address and not btopenworld

Bt openzone/FON connection issue

Ok so I often use this specific btopenzone wifi hotspot, used it for a couple hours every now and again for ages. Hit a problem now though my laptoop no longer connects to it. it sees it i click connect but it just keeps coming up no internet connection. Help/ This is the only wifi thing that it dont connect to.

It could be down to the hub2 (if this is being used) as there is a known issue whereby it caches ALL passing wireless devices which then jams the hub and stops the connection to Fon/Openzone - a reset of the hub is the only known cure, though BT are rolling out an update to sort this out.
The other thing is that occasionally and I don't know why, we lose the ability to connect to random hotspots. Without any changes, the ability returns after a few days. Keep trying the same hotspot or as I said earlier, try another one to see if you also can't connect to this one. What about your own hub's Fon/Openzone hotspot, can you connect to this?

How do i make my output compatible with advertising standards?

This is my first time posting in these forums - apologies for any mistakes (spelling and/or other).
I'm looking into Adobe Edge as a potential new tool for creating web-banners for advertising. I'm more of a designer than a coder, but i have some experience coding in Action Script (flash).
The challenge for me is generating a project that complies with the strict advertising standards found here:

I have listed the points that worry me the most here:
The HTML-file should just be one file with all CSS required for the ad inline in the HTML.
Animation prior to a user interaction must be written using CSS3 Transitions, Transforms and/or Animation https://github.com/finn-no/advertsspec/blob/master/spec/cssforanimations.md
JavaScript animations are forbidden before an user interaction https://github.com/finn-no/advertsspec/blob/master/spec/jsanimations.md
I have little or no prior experience working with CSS and Javascript, so i'm not really sure what i'm doing, but i have (with a little help) tried a few things.
The first example is just the raw export of a project with a few simple (and quite ugly) animations. I'm assuming that this is incompatible with the demands listed above.

In the next example I've created a project where I've put a "stop" action on the first frame and an "onClick" > "sym.play("rotate");" action on the image. "rotate" is a refferance to a frame label later in the same timeline (Click the image to start the (even more ugly) animation created in the Edge timeline).
Then i wrote some CSS-animations (horribly ugly) directly in the auto-generated HTML-file.
Will this be enough to get me around the requirement of "no javascript animations prior to user interaction"?

The thing is that i would prefer a workflow where i can do as much as possible within Edge Animate, but if the second example above is in compliance with the requirements, then that's not so bad. Guess i can learn some CSS.
Some thoughts/questions:
Is it possible that Edge outputs some CSS animations embedded in .js files, and would the people/systems where the advertising is hosted recognise the animations as one type or the other? If so: Can you restrict Edge Animate to use only css animations or is there a way to know what is "safe" (CSS) to use before user interaction and what is not (JavaScript)?
Are there templates and/or plugins that can help with any of this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Just to be clear: As far as i can understand, running JS code on load is in compliance with the mentioned standard, but JS animations is not. In the link below they explain it in a bit more detail:

For instance they mention that: "What you can do [prior to interaction] is simple JavaScript initialization such as simple resizing of banner content or similar operations."
So i guess executing the JS is ok as long as that doesn't mean rendering the animation.. ?

Does BT Fon/Openzone work with an ipod touch gen 1...

Hi,
I am a BT Infinity customer and have opted in to BT Fon. I cannot get my ipod touch gen 1 to work with a BT Fon or Openzone network. I can connect to my BT home hub as well as various friends' networks but for some reason I can't get the BT Fon/BT Openzone to work. It sees the network and in Settings-->Wi-Fi Networks I have deleted the initial 10.xx.xx.xx entry (leaving the "192.168.22.22, 192.168.22.23" with no leading space) and it says it has connected. When I go into Safari and try and enter any URL it says "connecting..." but I do not get the landing page (to enter my details) and it eventually times-out with a "Cannot open Page. Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding" message. This even happens when I try and use the BT Fon part of my home hub!
Any ideas why this isn't working? I have tried various BT Fon/Openzone points and none of them work. Any help would be most appreciated!
P.S. I cannot use the BTFON app as it is not compatible with the ipod touch gen 1 (I have the latest version of the ipod gen 1 software which is 3.1.3).

Well, I've tried various networks and various settings and I simply cannot get the ipod touch to work with BT Fon/Openzone.
I have to say I'm very disappointed with this - it was a toss-up for me to join either Virgin Media or BT Infinity and the only thing that swung it was the opportunity to use BT Fon/Openzone points when out and about. I think I've made the wrong choice as it is pretty useless to me now.
Also, the BT Fon website claims that in the area where I work there a lots of BT Fon/Openzone networks but I spent an entire lunchtime walking around with my ipod checking the available networks and only found two - both with fairly weak signals that occasionally disappear and reappear. Anyone else noticed this too?
I'm fairly sure it's not my ipod as it will happy connect to my homehub from the bottom of my garden which is around 30 metres away from the hub.

BT FON/Openzone Hotspot connects but will not go o...

Hi,
Recently moved house and thought I'd been lucky to be right next to fon/openzone hot spot. However upon connecting I get the typical 10.* address allocated and 192.168.22.22 dns which are classic signs the home hub I'm trying to connect to needs to be reset. Problem I've got is I'm in a big flat complex and no clue who has the fon/openzone homehub.
Any one get any ideas? I've tried the official channels and I've been stone walled straightaway.

there is no way you can force whoever the owner of the hub is to reset just so you can access their BTFON. I'm surprised that if it is a big flat complex that there are not more BTFON wifi signals than just this one

FON & openzone on HomeHub

I logged into my router today to discover that FON had been enabled on my router. (It wasnt on day of install)
But i also didnt see any bt openzone hotspots/FON hotspots in my wifi list of available networks. So if FON is turned on, how do people connect to my network? My main wirless is WPA2/PSK encrypted, so nobody could connect to that.
Also what if someone connects to my FON/openzone and does something nefarious, am i responsible? Sure, BT says its tunnelled traffic, but I'm still the gateway, so if someone is on P2P My IP will be the one which shows up in logs.

Your network is safe the fon connection is not encrypted but does need to be logged into by the user who must have signed up to fon also that identifies them on that connection so no you are NOT responsible for any user on fon the connection also uses a separate wireless channel to your own network

HP PAVILION G6 CONNECTS TO BT FON/OPENZONE BUT NOT...

I have a HP Pavilion G6 Laptop that I have had since 25/12/11. It seems to be having a problem though...
I cannot seem to connect to my BT Homehub 2.0. I am able to connect to other wireless devices and even the BT FON and openzone FROM THE SAME ROUTER! I find this very annoying, as BT FON is irritating with the auto log out and the unreliability of it all.
I have had this problem before, so I phoned up knowhow, and I had to reset my laptop to factory settings. It is now happening again and I have important files that would be a pain to lose! But again, it only refuses connection on this home hub... It is also happy to connect the hub through ethernet...
ONE OF THE BIGGEST ISSUES IS THAT I HAVE OTHER DEVICES (iMAC iPHONES, XBOX 360s ETC.) THAT ALL CONNECT TO IT NO PROBLEM, BUT THIS LAPTOP DOESN'T WANT TO!
This is what I have tried so far:
1) Contacting BT and having a lovely 1.5 hour remote PC session, getting nowhere...
2) Changing settings on the router (Change to channel 11, 1 and changing b/g/n to b/g).
3) Forgetting the wireless drivers on the laptop and re-installing them...
4) Reset the Hub to factory settings
5) Changed WPA2 to WPA and WEP.
ALL OF THIS TO NO HOPE!
PLEASE HELP!

it is not the wireless drivers you are having a problem with you need to remove all shown wireless networks from the laptop then let windows find the networks again when you see your hubs ssid then click on it then enter the encryption code just ensure you delete any other connections

Bt fon android issue

Can I first say I am new to this and this is my first post so please be bear with me.
I have an android phone which I have been using wirelessly through my home hub for sometime but since updating the bt fon app I have been unable to connect through my home hub but I have managed to do it in other hotspots. The error message '' we are unable to identify this hotspot'' comes up even when I'm on line with my PC.
Can anyone help me with this please.

Bt Wifi/Fon/Openzone/Roaming clarification

Hi All,
I just recently got Infinity 2 and HH3 and I want to clarify how the free Bt Wifi works that I get as part of my subscription.
Ther terminology and wording seems a bit different in various places so I wanted to check if someone here can give an official answer.
I undertsand there are 3 types of BT Wifi points:
1) HomeHubs sharing as FON
2) "proper" hotspots in some commercial properties (BTOpenzone)
3) Roaming Wifi partners/companies. (UK ones and abroad?)
I am only interested in using 2) & 3) Can I turn off the Fon on my HH and achieve that without paying any more money?
Also my HH seems to be transmitting 2 seperate SSIDs "BTWifi" and "BTWifi-with-Fon". What sort of people can connect to these and why is there 2?
Finally, assuming I can still keep wifi and turn off FON, what is the easiest way to connect to roaming hotspots (probably in EU) form other companies? Using the BT app for your smart phone? I guess if I connect to an BT prefixed SSID once and save details that is fine for all other UK based spots with same SSID, but I guess foreign partners will have different SSIDs?

I doubt anyone has ever used my Broadband via Fon other than me in a test. I've certainly never seen any impact. I have heard that the download a BT-Fon user can use is quite limited, but that in theory they can use lots of upload.
using another router to receive your broadband is not a cheat just in many cases including my own a better way to improve my connection and maintain a stable line. I get the benefit of BTWIFI when out and about but I do not benfit like many that use there own BTWIFI connection if they are about to exceed their usage limit

you cannot connect to openzone when outside the UK with your free BTFON

BT wifi & BT Wifi with Fon connection issue

in the last 5 days I've had issues connecting to BT Wifi and BT Wifi with Fon. I'm connecting using an iPhone and iPad so when I use the BT Wifi app for logging in it constantly says check details (which are correct) and then it will connect but then log off and won't connect for ages. It will sometimes connect one device but not the other.
When I try connect using the browser page I get a message ' maximum number of sessions reached'.
Has anyone any idea what causes this, what it means and a possible solution?
ps I tried email BT but they don't seem to care as i've not received a reply, thanks BT

Windows 8.1 Pro Non-Unicode Issue: CS6 Standard

I use WIndows 8.1 Pro English, I installed the CS6 Standard in Spanish, I changed the language for the non-unicode programs to spanish but still cannot use the Illustrator, I am having issue only with the Illustrator, noting that in the installation I was prompt for Spanish(Latin America) or Just Spanish, I clicked on Spanish(Latin America), but in the non-Unicode languages there is no Spanish(non-Unicode) they have Spanish per countries.

Issue in standard LOV after extending the VO

My requirement is to restrict the LOV "Payment Document" of standard page "PsrPG.xml".
Path of the page :-
oracle.apps.ap.payments.psr.webui
I have extended the VO and implemented my logic to fulfill the requirement. Its working fine if I click the glass icon and try to search in LOV window .
If I enter the same value in the base page field and tab out then also it is working fine means I am able to select the value.
Issue :-
If I use the look Ahead feature of oracle then the matching records are appearing in the Look Ahead LOV window but when I select any of that record it is opening the LOV window "Pop up Window" and says no record found.
Any help on this is greatly Appreciated.

Issue with Standard Cost estimates / Material Ledger

Background:
We have been using SAP for the last 5 years with Material Ledger active. Due to a number of reasons, we have not revised its standard cost estimates from 2001 till now. This means that at month end, we do not mark and release prices as recommended, nor do we mark prices and use dynamic release.
What Happened:
A new material called PFSW3 was made. This is a FERT. Before production
could start my team released the standard cost estimate for this material. Production was now able to proceed without problem. Then, when the time came to sell the material (VF02), SAP again raised the error 'cost estimate not found'. On checking the standard price in MM03, we discovered that the future cost estimate was missing. So we created and marked a new cost estimate in the middle of February 2007.
Problem:
When the first sale took place, SAP released the marked cost estimate and posted a Price Change document to adjust for the new standard cost. I understand this was due to dynamic release. Now, when month end came, the system settled all the production orders of material PFSW3 but did not do multi level costing on it.
Internal Investigation:
My team has determined that the material PFSW3 has price determination 2 set by mistake. All our other production materials (HALB and FERT) are
set to price determination 3 in the material master (accounting view).
Questions:
To sum this situation up,
we need to know why the material PFSW3 was not marked closed in its period status (CKM3) at the time of closing through CKMLCP?
What are the implications of not closing this material in Feb 2007 (current period status is showing 'Quantities and values entered')?
How can we close this material this month?
The future cost estimate is again missing for PFSW3 in March 2007 and I
fear we are going to face more problems as this material is sold to customers.
Please respond this is an urgent issue.

Please, have a look at Note 645083 - Material period status set to "Closing Entry Completed" that might help to closing your material in previous period.

Support pack level issue in Standard Finance Program.

Hi Everyone,
                i have an issue which is related to Finance. Actually, Finance People are Using a Standard Report (FS10N) - GL Account Line item display. There,Vendor and Customer Details are not displayed (Customer/Vedor Filed is empty) for the normal GL Account. But for the Reconsalation GL accounts they are able to see.
               For this issue SAP released an SNOTE 1107639 and correction delivered in SAP_APPL support pack 12.And we already applied it in the system and our current SAP_APPL level is 14. Though it is already available why the problem is still persist. Another thing is, for the same issue there is another SNOTE 1034354 which guides to enhancement thro' some BADI work in standard program.
              My question is that if the correction is available in a patch and that is imported as well in to system without any error then it should resolving the problem.but in this case why it does not work out or what could be the reason behind this. As a Basis admin i would like to know.

Your query is obsolutely acceptable...
After supportpack update some times database will not be synchronised with the new updates.
and more over it seems there is a complete issue with SAP side.... there is only one option in u r hand now just restart the system.but please make sure to take the down time...and check whether the correction is working or not..if not then no luck u need to contact SAP global team and ask them why the corrections are not working properly..

Dump issue in standard transaction

I am getting a dump error in a standard transaction while clicking save option,
could you please confirm me whether the issue is with SAP standard transaction path fill missing or some thing else since when we will do the same steps in same transaction to some other server its not giving dump error.
Should I've to do any code changes in the standard transaction by registering access key request or is there would be any basis related issue.
Also, I debugg a lot and not sure from where the issue is comming.
Please suggest.

I'm done with the debugging and found the reason for the problem.
Secondly as I said it a pure slandered transaction and we have not done any code changes, enhancement, BDT/BRF etc
so there in no way to get into depth for debugging since every line of code would be correct but the we need to find out where and why its getting stuck and throughing the dump.
Where
                In DSAVE BRF event only its giving error as error message = E once no entry found in the internal table. however it has to get some data from some where but unfortunately its not collecting the data so it remain initial and its result error type and E which indicate dump with logical (feeder) system not determine
Why
             SAP insurance module consist of CD, CM, ISM, Banking and where BP will act as a central component,
so there would be by default integration between BP and CD,CM,ICM,Banking. But I think the default connection between these all is not exist in our server, therefore once we are clicking save option in our process its not getting the path for interconnection with CM.
Final conclusion the integration between BP and CM is not establish hence its giving dump.
So could any one please tell me how to establish the integration between BP an CM, it might be related to BASIS issue but I welcome all who ever can provide the solution. (Might be we have to do some configration or something in SPRO-cross application - SAP BP - etc. )
