Ending installment plan in collection dunning

Hi All,
My client has been using installment plans in combinantion with dunning using the dunning method for some time now. They also want to start using it in combination with the collection strategy. We have a hard time figuring out how to end installment plans at the correct time and make sure dunning carries on were it left of.
Do any of you have any tips on how to do this in the BRF?

As an addition to the information above, we know how the BRF works and are able to create conditions recognizing installment plans etc. Next to that we can link the dunning activity for ending the installment plan. We seem to have problems getting the dunning to carry on were it left off.

Transferring Open Items, Instalment Plans and Dunning Level

Hi all,
We are implementing SAP IS-U for a water suplly company and we have a process in which an Installation is transferred from a Business Partner to another. For this we are using the Move-in / Move-Out functionality (trx EC60).
So far, so good. The problem is that we also should transfer also the Open Items, Instalment Plans and Dunning level to the new Business Partner and new Contract Account.
The questions is: can we transfer these automatically?
We thought in different scenarios in case this is not possible, so I would appreciate if you can give us an opinion:
1 - Use FP40 transaction and transfer FICA elements manually
2 - Create a FOP process to perform step by step the process from CIC0. The only problem I have found is that there is not any object that allows me to transfer the open items. Does it exist? If not, this option is not valid
3 - Use the "Change CUstomer" Functionality. Did you have any experience using this funcionalidty? The main issue I have with this is that the system generates a dummy invoice, the Move in Date is in the future, and the Account must be closed.
Please any information will be very helpful. Thank you very much in advance!

Hi Lucas,
You can transfer the open items and the dunning level manually to the new BP and CA through transaction code FP40.
You need to maintain the following configuration settings in the posting area 1055-
Curr-Currency of the Cocd
Clearing Reason-Clearing reason used for transfer
Document Type-Document Type used for Transfer
Only all items- blank
Credit-X
Transfer DL-X
Moreover, you cannot transfer Instalment Plans through FP40, as instalment plan items are statistical in nature.

Problem with a BAPI collecting dunning levels

I am having a problem with BAPI DebtorCreditAccount (called from a VB program), collecting dunning levels.
The BAPIs is called like follows (only the essential code is shown):
The first function (GetCustomerCurrentBalance) works fine but the second (GetCustomerHighestDunningLevel) doesnt work.

Thanks Vijaya for your fast reply. The parameters that I am giving as input are however correct.
I have investigated the problem a bit further and tried some other calls.
If I just chose to create an object of the type DebtorCreditAccount (without submitting any parameters) and then use the same method call as before (se code in topic above) I get the following error: Mandatory parameter HIGHESTDUNNINGLEVELA missing. This must mean that it knows that something is missing.

Cannot invoke method GETHIGHESTDUNNINGLEVEL. This I interpret as the object has not been right instantiated. This brings me back to square one.

Cannot install CS6 Master Collection on windows 7 - 64 bit

As the title implies, I have several times tried installing the Master Collection - CS6 on my windows 7 - 64 bit machine at home and after a couple minutes, it simply erros out. I have even downloaded the trials for several of the applications and they too won't install. My download came directly from the Adobe Licensing site.

Hey, did you sort it out in the end?
I have been onto support for 2.5 hours yesterday but it didnt work what they told me to do. CS6 seems to install but the last screen says that only flash builder and acrobat installed and all the others had trouble installling.
Im gonna try them again today. My error message is below....

Installment Plan-- Payment Run

Hi Friends,
by executing the Payment run for an Installment plan, comes the following error message.
Amount 34,10- EUR for document 9123456789 could not be broken down
Message no. >5251
Diagnosis
The amount specified is the clearing amount that is allotted to a collective bill or an installment plan with document number 9123456789. This amount is to be split over the items belonging to the collective bill or the installment plan by the clearing variant assigned to clearing type 20R and clearing category of the contract account.
The clearing cannot be posted for one of the following reasons:
You have not used a correct clearing variant for this business transaction.
No clearing variant could be determined.
Procedure
Check the relevant table settings for clearing control.
You must be able to split the amount over the items belonging to the collective bill or installment plan using the clearing variant. Therefore, you usually have to permit a partial clearing of these items.
The clearing variant must not use rules for automatic write-off of tolerance variances.
It is the 6th Installment plan of him, till now with Payment run- correct amount was deducted in Direct Debit and this is not the last Installment plan.
In clearing type 20R-Distribute Payment to Installment Plan-Usage 3 was used with check box for Incoming Payments was set.
1. I have no idea what caused the error message that was stated above.
2. As stated in the config for 20R-There is no payment, why did the system execute this Clearing type.
3. As it is direct debit the amount which was direct debited 34,10 is equal to IP.

    guarantee that the clearing amount in question can be distributed

    use any rules for automatically writing off tolerance discrepancies.
    Otherwise, processing will be terminated. ..."
Please make sure above customizing is maintained.

Promise to pay v/s Installment plan

Dear Experts,
Can you tell me whats the main difference between a Promise to pay and an Installment plan.
Specifically I am working with FI-CA (contract accounts). Enh.pac.II.

It seems that one of the differences is that you can assign a dunning procedure to the Installment plan, but not to the Promise to pay.
Both the Installment plan and the Promise to pay can update the creditworthiness of the business partner.
The promise to pay can have several payment dates as the Installment plan.
You can evaluate level of fulfillment of the Promises to pay.

P2P State versus Installment Plan State

Hello Collections Experts,
Can someone explain the difference between the 'state of a Promise to Pay versus the state of an Installment Plan please? We cretaed a P2P as an installment plan. When we did this the state under tab 'Promise to Pay' column 'State of Promise To Pay' was recorded as 'Open'. If we click on Installment Plan the column 'State of Installment' was recorded as 'Open'. In table FDM_P2P_ATTR the state was recorded as 0 (Open) and in table UDM_P2P_ATTR the state was recorded as 0 (Open).
Later when the P2P was overdue, the state under tab 'Promise to Pay' column 'State of Promise To Pay' is showing as 'Installment is Overdue'. While under the Installment Plan itself the column 'State of Installment' is showing as 'Not Paid On Schedule'. In table FDM_P2P_ATTR and table UDM_P2P_ATTR the state is recorded as 6 (Partially Kept Not On Schedule).
See attached.
We don't know why tab 'Promise to Pay' column 'State of Promise To Pay' is showing as 'Installment is Overdue' while the Installment Plan column 'State of Installment' is showing as 'Not Paid On Schedule'.
Are there different states for a P2P versus Installment plan and can anyone advise what DB tables these 2 seemingly different states are recorded/stored in?

Hi Michael
There are different states for the P2P and for the installment plan associated with it. The program FDM_P2P_JUDGE evaluates both the P2P and and each installment and assigns the appropriate state to each one, for example you may have one installment that is paid in full & on time and another that has not been paid and the due date has passed, these would required different states, the P2P itself will have a different state.
If you go to table UDM_P2P_ATTR and do a dropdown on the field "FIN_P2P_STATE" you can see the list of states and their descriptions, these are the states that are applied by program FDM_P2P_JUDGE during evaluation, those with the word "schedule" will appy to the installment and the others will apply to the P2P, take a look at the attached for more information, regards

ISU-Installment Plan item in Invoice

Hi,
We are rolling out installment plan and were able to create the standard installment plan.
The present Invoice has 3 heads i.e. 1)Current month amount, 2) Outstanding and Net Amount Due (Total of 1& 2)
The business requirement is to add the installment plan items into this, i.e. 1) Current month amount, 2) Outstanding, 3) Installment plan item and Net Amount Due (Total of 1,2& 3)
The dates of installment plan (say 3rd Aug) and Invoice due date (Say 30th Aug) will always be varied.
Is there any way to add the installment plan item into the Net Amount Due
Additional info:
-Invoicing is always monthly
-There is no Charges/interest/taxes involved
-Its ok if the customer pays on 30th for Installment item due on 3rd (again since Charges/interest/taxes are not involved)
-The customer can pay only the Invoice Net amount due (no option to edit this amount when he pays) which is driving this requirement.

Hello,
Installment plans are treated as short plans where in which the overdue outstanding amount is divided into 'N of items thus reducing the burden of the customer. Say if you have £100 Inv. You have agreed to collect the amount in 2 installments. You create Inst plan for £50 each using FPR1.
Now if the customer is on Direct Debit, the above amount would be collected when you run the Payment run using FPY1, Generate DME file and send to bank.

Installment plan and Participation group Assignment to contraact

I have 2 questions:
1 My client has developed a certain residential stand for sale . They have set up an installment plan to individuals who needs to buy the stands ,upon completion of the installments the relationship of my client and this individual ( customer ) ends. What contract type should i assign this installment plan?
2.What suitable contract type should i assign a participation group for serrvice costs.I tried assigninig this to a commercial lease out with service costs conditions but the tricky part is that some of the rental objects assigned to the participation group are not assigned to this commercial lease out.

Hi David,
As far as I know there is no concept of installment plan in REFX. But you can map the same my creating each installment as different condition types. And condition purpose of it as "One time rent". You can use commercial lease out contract "CO01" type for this purpose. If there is no object attached to it then the service contract can also be used. The valid To date of the contract will be the date of billing of the last condition type. Whereas Valid From date will be the billing date of the first condition type.

Issues installing Adobe Master Collection /Win thru Parallels 3.0 On Macpro

Yeah Im at a loss too for what is going On here I Do Audio video Editing On the PC side till Now Just got a Not even 6 mo old Mac book pro Dual core 2.5 Ghz 17 in 160 Gb HD 2 GB Ramm did fresh reinstalled of tiger Patched to 10.4.11 then asked the tech at apple store best way to go for Installing my Adobe CS3.3 Master Suite for windows on Here As I said I did not want to go with Lepord as well as I do not use vista yet on PC side with my audio video Apps Abelton live 7.0 Reason 4 Pro tools 7.4 M powered Avid media Composer 3.0 and everything Adobe Makes now he says 2 ways to go VM fusion Or Parallels He likes the Parallels I go that route I install it realize to make Adobe suite work I have too do a custom Virtual machine with 1.5 GB ramm instead of default 512 MB and I create virtual HD at 60 GB instead of default 32 GB which The first time i Installed the master Collection at the 32 GB setting I think it ran out of disk space on the install so i increased the VM to the current settings went to Adobe to Parallels site and Got updates and windows and apple removal tools and ran them here goes reinstall # 3 it takes about 1 1/2 Hrs then at end give ya the error 19-20 errors and when you go look into the folders in Program files adobe there are no Icon launch files and in your programs tab under adobe suite all you see is 2 icons that do not launch anything ? any help is greatly appreciated new to Macs Like them but a lil discouraged !

Ok as I said earlier The install seems to go like a full install time wise file transfer wise seems like at 89 % a few seconds into disk 4 of the master collection install at this point CS 3.0 they tell ya to uncheck the tick for acrobat 8.0 as when you are done with the install open any one of the products you just installed Register it then put in disk 5 it has Acrobat 9.0 Pro and updates to all to bring them to CS 3.3 ok so at 1 1/2 Hrs a few seconds into disk 4 I would say almost like it cant extract all the just installed 20 GB worth of installed ready to be expanded files and finalized it gives a some what done Normal looking screen but says finished with errors and below in the list of errors Below Box it lists every single program then under neith in red it says Install completed with errors and then there are only 2 icons in the Program files in a folder called cs 3 master collection they are the stock photo library and i did the full scrub both the mac side and pc side and updated the parallels my virtual machine is 60 GB partition and my avail ramm is 1.5 GB of the macs 2gb i will wait to start another attempt if you have any Ideas the mac is clean fresh install nothing else loaded patched to 10.4.11?

Deactivating installment plan

I understand that installment plan can be deactivated during dunning but what about after move-out and creating final invoice? Does it get deactivated?
I understand that budget billing gets deactivated move-out/final bill. What about installment plan?

Hi All,
Actually I am working on FICA: Installment plans. There are 3 standard datasources for the Installment plan.
0FC_IPL_HEAD_01--- Installment Plan Header Data for Business Warehouse
0FC_IPL_ITEM_01 --- Installment Plan Items for Business Warehouse
0FC_IPL_ORIG_01---- Installment Plan Original Items for Business Warehouse
The problem I am facing is I am not able to get any records in the header extractor (0FC_IPL_HEAD_01) and Original Items extractor (0FC_IPL_ORIG_01). But I am getting data in Items ( 0FC_IPL_ITEM_01 ) extractor. In the base header table of Installment plan I am able to find some records.
To pull the data to BW we have to scheduled a run in Tcode - FPIPBW. Where it is not giving any records in Header extractor.
If anybody have worked on FICA Installment Plans please guide me through this.

First execute init for the data source and then run tcode-FPIPBW.
Now you will find data in the corresponding tables.

I can't get into the installation menu. The third CD does work correctly, i'm not sure about the second CD. Is it possible that the CD is broken? Like maybe there is one file missing or something I don't know.
