Ending Online Gallery

I can create an Online Photo Gallery in Elements 6, but how do I place a link on the last photo to take the viewer back to a previous non-gallery page in the Web Site?
Can't find where it tells me how to do that.
Thanks in advance.
Big Al

You will need to publish the gallery, then go in and edit the HTML to add your link.

  • Need help uploading Online Gallery!

I want to upload an Online Gallery to my company's website without using the choice given in Photoshop Elements...ie FTP. I have it saved to my computer. What files do I need to use to get it online? Do I upload everything in the folder?
    Thanks in advance,
    Kati

Upload the whole folder by FTP, the same way you would upload anything else to your site. Use whatever FTP program you would normally use.
Note that if you want navigation back to the main site from the gallery, you will need to  put in the HTML code for that yourself.

  • Photoshop Elements 6 online gallery blank pages

I've created a few online galleries to put on my Windows Home server website. They look good on the local network, but when accessed on my website, the browser pages are usually blank. Sometimes I can get something to show up, but usually not.
I discovered some information on the Flash components that seem to cause a similar problem for Photoshop created online galleries:
    http://blog.choppingblock.com/2009/05/photoshop-photo-gallery-flash-detect-update/
Unfortunately, due to the structure of the templates being different between Photoshop and elements, I couldn't figure out how to "fix" the online gallery templates in Elements. The logical solution for something like this - if this is indeed the problem with elements, would be for Adobe to provide a down-loadable fix for Elements. I don't have great hopes for this since Adobe is not very proactive in supporting Elements if you don't have the latest version.
    I have this configuration:
    Windows Vista Home Premium
    Adobe Flash 10
Adobe Photoshop Elements 6/Premier Elements 4
    Internet Explorer 8.
Access is on a website hosted on my Windows Home Server.
    Any thoughts out there?
    Thanks,
    Tom

    Hi Barbara,
Thanks for the reply. I did copy the entire folder structure over to the
server. Each online gallery is within its own folder. On the server itself,
the gallery displays properly. It displays properly when it is accessed from
my laptop by mapping the server drive. It does not display when logging on
to the website (hosted on the same server). Very strange, but I've found
others who have had similar problems, just no answers except the possible
flash detection problem documented in the link in the original message.

  • Is there an online gallery of APEX (stock) themes?

I'd like to be able to point my users to an online gallery of APEX (stock) themes, so they can choose one without me needing to sit with them just to show what is available in Application Builder, but I could not find one.

Vikas (and maybe Carl?) used to have a set of Sample Applications configured with every theme on apex.oracle.com, but I haven't seen any mention of this for years. Probably completely out of date even if still available.
The theme preview images should be lurking around in the images folders somewhere. (Where is not obvious from the 4.2 theme page, and I don't have access to an installation I can dig around in at present.) Start by trying to find them and you should be able to create a simple app to display them.

  • Downloading from online gallery

How can I download my online gallery back to my organizer.  I just bought a new computer and thought this would be pretty easy but can't seem to figure it out. Thanks

If you use photoshop.com you can simply turn on synchronization.

  • Replacing online gallery flowers flash with another flash scene?

I'd really like to have a little variety and be able to get rid of the flowers that appear as the online gallery is being loaded/prepared.
Is there any way to do this?

I'll second the recommendation to use JAlbum. If you pick the right skin, it generates completely standard-conforming HTML:
    http://jalbum.net/forum/thread.jspa?messageID=110021
Adobe will always push you to use its proprietary technologies. For that reason, even if they were to make non-Flash galleries available, I would much prefer to generate my galleries independently.

  • Online gallery?

Does anyone have any ideas for an online gallery now Apple have stopped the Mobile Me galleries. There seems to be options out there but none that have the professional look and simplicity of the Mobile Me gallery. The ability to download an image etc and hide galleries.
I am a professional photgrapher and don't want the look and feel of Flickr and Smugmug etc.
Why did Apple adandon this service when Aperture is such a great product..... maybe they have something in the pipeline for Version 4?
I looked at dphoto.com .... it's good but not great.

Have you seen Roger Wilmut's page?
    Migrating from Mobile Me:
    http://www.wilmut.webspace.virginmedia.com/notes/migrate/frommobileme3.html
I continue to use iWeb to publish my galleries; iWeb can upload to any web host that offers FTP access.
The only thing you need to do to continue to use iWeb is patch the application, so that some icons will not be downloaded from MobileMe but from your own computer.
See Old Toad's guide on how to do that:

  • In elements 6, certain edited files lose color when transfered to Photomail or Online Gallery. Why is this happening?

Using Elements 6- when editing files in certain applications such as Portrait Proffesional, the edited versions lose their color when transfered to Photomail or Online Gallery. Also, when I use elements 6 e- mail attatchment to e-mail a single file, I get a message that says too much has been taken up. Anyone have any suggestions?

Well here's my workflow. I'm using Firewire external HD for storing Aperture library.
    1. Creating Folder with client's name
    2. Creating New project with shooting name in the clients folder.
    3. importing all RAW files into project. During that process i'm adding all keywords, time adjustment, credits etc....
    4. sorting photos, adding ratings (1 - for delete, 4 and 5 - to keep).
    5. making smart albums (according to ratings). Deleting all 1 star files.
    6. Editing all 5 stars (the one i'll give to the clients). If i'll need to edit it with photoshop, i'll use open in external editor. And keep the final psd file also in the Aperture library.
    7. Adding "final version" keyword to all files ready to be send to the client.
    8. Making a new smart folder (sorting by "final" keyword)
    9. Using internal web publishing - i'm publish them on my .Mac account. Sending the link to the client
    10. Using presets exporting tiffs and jpg versions and burning them on DVD for my client.
    11. Also - i'll print them using Aperture.
    12. Backing up the project - both on DVD and Aperture Vault (using external HD).
    13. I'm also backing up Aperture library using TimeMachine (using 3rd external drive).

  • Is it possible using In-Browser Editing in Adobe Muse CC to add or delete images from the online gallery?

    Hei,
The online editing works fine, changing text and swapping pictures is no problem.
Adding new content from your own computer works as well
But how is it possible for my client to delete some images from the gallery on the site using the in-browser editing?
Or for that matter add extra images to the gallery on the site?
    Is it possible at all?

Almost thought we found the ultimate workaround!
It does accept a transparent png file, even better it does not even have the shadow effects the rest of the images have in the thumbnail container.
So it is practically invisible if it was not for the cursor changing in a pointer hand
So up to this point I was really excited. But when I tried the in-browser editing of this "invisible" thumbnail, it recognised the thumbnail but it would not let the thumbnail be edited.
Weird part though was that I could click the "invisible" thumbnail and edit the enlarged picture, but the thumbnail would still be invisible
What do you think, can you think up a workaround for that?
    Thanks for brainstorming with me!

  • Making Thumbnails Larger in Online Gallery

I was wondering if there is a way to make the thumbnails larger in online photo gallery. I have Dreamweaver, with some knowledge of html. They are just way too small as is.

I'm back since I didn't get an answer last week. Does anyone out there know how this can be done. I have some basic knowledge of html, and I see there is the manifest.xml document in the folder that is created. I'm using Photoshop Elements 6.

  • Downloadable online gallery

    Hi,
I have been trying to make an online photo gallery using Photoshop Elements 8.0.
I am hosting this album on my own website with the idea that family and friends can view and download the album or pictures as they require.
Making the album goes well but viewers to the album cannot download any of the pictures. There seems to be a print option but not an option to save.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? Is what I want to do possible?
Appreciate any help. many thanks in advance.
    Mitch

    Hi Jon,
Thanks for your reply and suggestion.
I thought as much before I posted but had hoped I overlooked a function.
Such an oversight by Adobe in an otherwise powerful piece of software.
Just had a look at ThumbHTML and it's exactly what I'm looking for.
    Many thanks again.

  • If I have all the pics I had in the online gallery of mobile me still have in my iPhoto, there is no need for me to download all the folders, right?

I am very confused about this iCloud thing. Where do I put my pics now for family and friends to see online???

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
If you already have them in iPhoto, then there is no need to download them.
Unfortunately, iCloud does not offer equivalents to Mobile Me’s iDisk, Gallery or Web Hosting services. You will need to find a third party solution to replace these services. You might consider DropBox, SugarSync, MediaFire or any other service that offers online storage. (not all these alternatives offer all the services previously provided by iDisk)

  • Managing my Picasa online gallery

I've created an album for those pictures that I upload to Picasa via the Google uploader for iPhoto.
Everything works fine except when I need to replace a photo an updated version (the album is of a reef tank). With each photo, I add a comment with various information.
When I need to update the photo, I have to copy and paste the information from the old photo to the new photo. Since iPhoto only gives you a small space for typing comments, this is a bit of a pain.
Also, I have to go to my Picasa photo gallery to delete the old version.
Is there a better way to do all of this -- and keep my online picture gallery in Picasa?
    Thanks!

  • PSE 7 -  Saving Online Gallery locally on disk

New in PSE7 I am missing the old PSE 2 feature to first open the gallery locally with the browser (saving on disk) istead of instantly starting ftp transfer or creating a CD. Any idea?
    Thanks!

It appears that the FTP server is bundled with XP Professional.  See this page for how to set it up:
    http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleid=1491&page=2
If you don't have XP Professional, you'll probably have to install a third-party free or shareware server.  Google "ftp server windows xp" for lots of options.
But I use Frontpage, it is ftp' ing the code in a local Web in "My webs" first instead of ftp'ing it to the net.
Frontpage isn't FTPing the local Web to your hard drive, it's just saving it directly as files (just as previous versions of PSE used to do).  Frontpage only uses FTP to send the local Web to your remove Web server when you "publish" it.

  • Online gallery and storage

I recently upgraded from Elements 6 to 9.  Apparently I did not read the fine print and my photos are stored online.  I absolutely do not want my photos stored online and am quite upset about this--how do I get rid of it?

Couple steps to turn it off:
    1) Go to Preferences>Backup and Sync and turn Off Backup/Sync
That will stop anything new from being backed up to your online account
At this point, it's Turned Off.
    2) Go to www.photoshop.com and log into your account. Go to the Online Organizer and delete any images that are already there.
That will get them off of being online
    3) Don't share any Online Albums using Photoshop.com.
In order to share online, your images of course have to be stored online. If you try and Share Online, the Backup/Sync item will be turned back on (after asking you of course) as it is the mechanism by which a shared Online Album is uploaded to Photoshop.com.
    4) Log Out of your Photoshop.com account from within the Photoshop Elements Organzier.
Look for the Welcome [YourNameHere] text along the top of the Organizer, and click on it and then select Sign Out.
If you do enjoy sharing selected photos via Online Albums, but don't want all you images backed up to Photoshop.com, you can selectively control what is uploaded in the Preferences>Backup/Sync settings.
    Hope that helps.
    Bob
