Ending the workout

I mentioned this in another post so sorry if you are seeing this again.
My question is this........When I choose a workout (eg: 5K run) off of the Nano menu to perform, how does the workout end? I just assumed that when my 5K distance goal was met the workout would end automatically and save my data. Instead I heard the trainers voice saying "hit the menu button to end your workout" so I did that, but that didn't actually end my workout either so I ended up walking around the gym for a while with my Nano keeping track of my basically zero speed for another 5-8 minutes which in turn messed up my final readings for my mile/minute pace, etc....
I then noticed that when I hit the menu button it brings up another menu that you have to scroll down in and actually select "end workout". This seems a little silly to me the have to go through two menus to actually stop my work out. Am I doing this right or am I missing something? Any help greatly appreciated.

no problem. it actually took me 3 runs and a day later to figure it out myself. i stumbled upon it on accident when in the middle of my run someone was waving me down to ask me how the trail was. since i couldnt hear her i pressed the pause button just out of habit and i got the voice feedback that my workout had been paused. im surprised there was no mention of this in the manual. the manual and the nano (before the workout starts) makes it sounds like you HAVE TO press menu to get to the options to pause or end your workout.
i also know if after you pause it and you dont start up within a few minutes, the nano goes into standby and you have to press the pause button again for the workout to resume. so just make sure you hear the voice feedback tell you that your workout has resumed.

When I enter the website, Firefox stops responding and I have to end the process from the Task Manager. How do I solve this problem?

I am running Firefox 4.0 beta 7 on Windows XP Tablet Edition OS. When I enter this site using Firefox, the browser stops responding and I have to end the process using Task Manager. However, when I open it with other browsers such as IE8, I am able to view the site as per normal. This only happened when I updated my browser to Beta 7 and I did not have such problems in the previous betas.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

I have the problem described in /forums/knowledge-base-articles/704725. (Firefox is already running but not responding). My only solution is to use Task Manager to end the firerfox process. I am the only user and there are no other profiles on my system

Restore as new... if the problem still continues then there is a hardware issue.
If it stops after a restore as new, then the issue is with the backup the device is currently setup with.

Trying to burn a playlist in itunes and i get this message at the end 'The attempt to burn a disc failed. An nknown error occurred (4450)'. This is with a new Dell laptop running windows 8. The playlist was 17 songs from cd's and itunes. Any ideas?

This is how I managed to fix the problem...and I hope this helps others in the similar situation.
I tried with another program..latest version of Nero, and this was also stopping at the 'initialising' stage. I was now lost! I thought the last resort is to give Evesham (My PC manufacturer) a buzz. They were very helpfull. Basically go into 'Control Panel', 'System', and click on the Hardware tab, then 'Device Manager'. Uninstall everything in the DVD/CDRom Drives. Then uninstall everything under the catagory IDE ATA/Atapi disk controllers. This is where my problem was, as I only had one IDE channel here. You should have 4 or 5! Reboot your machine, and everything will automatically re-load. I tried burning using Nero and it worked. Then the big test was iTunes. It worked 1st time!
I asked why the IDE channels have dissappearred, and he said sometimes uninstalling Programmes occasionally removes them.
I hope this will help others who are having problems to burn stuff on iTunes.

I guess I spoke too soon! I really can't believe this nightmare is not over yet! My account is still wrong. The credit that I was due totaled $63.00 I am looking at a message on my phone saying that $21.01 was credited which makes my balance $219.72. I received a text the following day that says, I processed your credit of $30.00 and your new balance $216.73 how is that possible? None of the late fees were credited and the amount due for my monthly charges are wrong. Before any changes were made to my data plan back in Nov. My monthly charges were $140.00, I needed my hot spot back and i was told that the hot spot will increase my bill $10 for each phone that totals $20. The customer rep that change my data plan at that time also gave me a credit of $20 to compensate for the increase until I had time to talk with customer service about the mix-up with my Hot spot. I originally had the hot spot, but the rep that change my plan almost a year prior told me nothing was changing except I was getting more for less money. I explained to that rep that I need my hot spot 4 times a year...and I don't want my plan to have any changes. To verify what I'm telling u check my account and see that I called from Albany New York wanting to know where my hot spot was and I was told I didn't have the hot spot on my account since the last data change! I lost money once again due to the verizon rep's. so my current data plan the rep promised would increase $20 which makes my monthly charges that were $140 prior to the change $160 after the hot spot was returned to my account. Then I was given a $12 credit per month for 12 months because of so many mistakes made to my account so with that $12 credit my monthly charges should $148 + surcharges + taxes and that's not what I see. I do know this much right now my account is in such a shambles I can hardly see the light at the end if there is an end! I need real help!

How to properly end the Trial so PSCS resumes automatically?

Photoshop CC trial ended. Not continuing. Default will not return to CS4 although i reset the default. I deleted PS CC. How can i return to CS4 and have it open automatically as default?
Perhaps it took shutting down, but this morning the CS4 default is opening automatically and I no longer get the Box telling me that my trial has expired (in Dec, I think).
Did I do that by deleting the PS CC application?? Or is there a time limit on how often Adobe reminds you that the trial has ended and do you REALLY, REALLY not want to subscribe. Is there a correct way to end the Trial and return to CS?

Removing the key or uninstalling the key does not recapture the activation, if you use up the number of activation for a particularly key you would have to call to activate again with that key.

Firefox won't start. Everytime I end the process/close the last window, it keeps getting stuck at about 2500k memory in the task manager. The only way I have to fix it is to change some kind of compability settings or try and access it in a new way, and every time it crashes/closed/computer blue screens that setting will no longer work.
That is a short term solution, but eventually I'll run out of ways to access firefox successfully. I've tried many solutions, and some worked, but only once. I have yet to find a permanent solution for this problem.

First please update your plugins to make sure you are up to date. Shockwave Flash player has a newer version 16. How to design to end the threadpool program

hi,
I have a threadpool and submit a fixed no. of Runnables to it. But i want to know when all the submitted tasks are completed and to end the program. I don't think ending after submitting the last Runnable is a good solution. May i schedule another Runnable to check the size of the queue and end the entire program.

Simply call [shutdown()|http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/util/concurrent/ExecutorService.html#shutdown()] and then [awaitTermination()|http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/util/concurrent/ExecutorService.html#awaitTermination(long,%20java.util.concurrent.TimeUnit)].

Whenever I shut down iTunes on my computer, it keeps reopening and I have to go into Task Manager and end the process in order for it to stop doing this. I am running it on a Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit machine.

In your first post you mention you have done a reset and a restore. Those are the last two processes in the user troubleshooting. If those do not work, then the last thing is to go to the Genius Bar. You say you went to Apple and they opened the phone and re-seated the connectors? That sounds unusual, because if there was a hardware issue,they would replace the hardware. You say you cannot get a replacement, is that because you are out of warranty? An out of warranty replacement is only $199 plus tax. It seems to me since you mention the fact you need to press hard to get the screen to react there is something going on with the hardware. If this problem has been going on for over a year, have you been reporting this to Apple. You say you cannot get a replacement and you are on the second phone, I wonder why they are denying you a replacement. Is there something you are not telling us??
