Endless Signing-In Loop

When I signed in a few minutes ago, the www asked me to allocate a communities username.
So I entered the name I normally use and was told that it existed.
This is strange as it is a very unusual combination of letters etc.
The first question is:           How can I find out if this communities username is me?
(Especially bearing in mind that the www will not let me sign in.)
If I invented a new username it accepted it (said that it was unused).
BUT then asked me to sign in again and said that the username had already been taken.
You get the picture - this could go on for years.
The final point to make is that I am religious at keeping track of my sign-in details.
Trying again while writing this text, it seemed to accept the original username, but then said : "unknown error has occurred" and took me to Manage your AppleID ... and in no part of this series of screens did it ask me for or show me pre-existing 'username'.
Thanks

  • Endless sign in loop problem

I am having a problem using both Muse and Business Catalyst via Dreamweaver.  I cannot start Muse, or log into BC.
I have a recently purchase monthly Creative Cloud subscription, with a valid Adobe ID.
First I will explain what happens:
The problem was first encountered when I tried to start Muse from my desktop. It would prompt me with a pop-up screen that says "Further account information is required to use Adobe Muse. You will need to sign in to continue." So I would click "next" and see the "sign in" area was already populated with my Adobe ID (my email address) with the password field blank.  So I enter my password and click "sign in" and it cycles like it's trying, and then just takes me right back to the first screen "Further account information...... etc etc" and it just goes in a circle like that.
I tried searching for help on the forums, but the closest thing I could find suggested that I maybe the problem is that I haven't logged into Business Catalyst yet, soi tried logging into BC via Dreamweaver, and that gave the exact same cyclical event as above with Muse.
I have talked to someone on Live Adobe Help Chat twice.  The first time they told me "this product is brand new, and some kinks are being worked out, just wait 24hrs and try again." I did that, it didn't work. The second time, the conclusion was to refer me to the Business Catalyst Help.
Also, I tried resetting my password, and that didn't work.
I cannot get Muse to start, as I cannot get past the sign in screen.  I am paying for these services, and I just want them to work.  It's as simple as that.
Any guidance or help or solutions on this are greatly appreciated.

  • Endless "Recovery Mode" loop on my iPhone 5.

Last night I decided to update my iPhone 5 to iOS 7.0.3. I connected my phone to my PC using the lightning cable and opened up iTunes, which prompted me to update my iOS. I hit "Cancel" so I could do a sync and backup before updating (as I always do). I then went back to the phone summary page and clicked the button to update the phone. It took about 40 minutes to download the update and after it downloaded, it failed. My phone went into Recovery Mode (picture of cable pointing to iTunes symbol). The summary page now prompted an alert saying that it has detected a phone in Recovery Mode and will need to be restored before being used. I hit "Ok" and then hit the "Restore iPhone" button.  I got the warning that all data will be lost and I agreed to the terms of iOS 7.0.3 etc. The download then began. At the end of the download, nothing happenes at all. No error message appears. The phone screen simply goes black and then the Recovery Mode screen appears again. Once again, I am prompted to restore the phone. I have restored six times now and everytime it does the same thing. It is an endless loop.
I have tried different methods such as using a different lightning cable, different USB ports on my PC, and holding the power button and home screen to force it out of Recovery methods. My wife has the extact same phone and hers updated fine on my PC.
    Any suggestions?

Re: Endless "Recovery Mode" loop on my iPhone 5.  in response to MFothy
I was having this same problem (endless recovery mode loop) but I also have a broken Home button, so I'm not able to enter DFU mode. The fix for me was to go through the recovery, but after it restores the firmware, iTunes will tell you to leave the phone connected to your computer while it reboots.
If I leave it connected, the phone re-enters recovery mode. But, if I unplug the phone at this point (during the reboot) the phone goes to the Welcome screen and I can set it up again. If I try to restore from the iTunes backup, I get put back into recovery mode, but if I restore from iCloud backup, everything works.
    So, in short:
Plug in the phone, start the recovery
After firmware is installed (while the phone is rebooting), unplug from the computer
Restore backup from iCloud, not iTunes
I have been messing with this for hours now, I finally came across your response. This worked like a charm, thank you so much!!!

  • Itunes infinite sign in loop problem

I did quite a lot of research into this issue and all of the solutions that worked for others does not work for me at all. The problem is that I cannot sign in to my itunes account on my mac at all. I keep getting the sign in loop where I have to re-enter my password over and over again. At first it didn't bother me since I don't do anything but listen to my music library but it became a pain when I tried to access iTunes Radio or buy a song from the iTunes Store. If I but something on my iPod it works okay but why can't I properly sign in on my Mac? I have the latest OS X and the most recent updates have all been installed.
Here are the "solutions" I have tried with no success:
    Reinstalled iTunes
    Deleted the "SC Info" Folder
Changed the name of my computer
    Deauthorized and Reauthorized my computer
    Changed my password (twice)
Allowed cookies from both Safari and Chrome (my default browser)
Signed out and in after doing all of these tips
I remember downloading iTunes and getting an iPod because it was peerless when it came to music but now I'm starting to see what a gimmick iTunes is and how much Apple is starting to decline is product satisfaction.
Does anyone have any other solutions that I can try? Or should I just give up and find something else.

How are you connected to the internet? Are you behind a particularly secure corporate firewall? Are you on Mac or Windows? Do you have any anti-malware software running on your machine that may be preventing applications other than your browser from connecting to the internet?

  • I can't log-in to Premiere Pro & keep getting stuck in an Adobe Application Manager sign-in loop

I am currently unable to load Adobe Premiere Pro or After Effects.
When I click to open them the Adobe Application Manager opens up, asks me to sign-in (which I do) and then it tries to open PP (the PP icon on my Mac bounces up and down) but then it disappears and loops me back to the Adobe Application Manager.
I was speaking to an Adobe Support officer on Live Chat the other day and he dialled in to my mac but couldn't fix it. He said he would escalate the issue and told me to expect a call back within two days. Frustratingly no-one has called me back and the issue remains.
I have uninstalled all the apps and the Creative Cloud and then re-installed them but that hasn't helped.
I would be really grateful if anyone had any suggestions as I have an important piece of work that I have to get done by tomorrow.
    Many thanks

  • Adobe CC Sign in Loop

I ordered Adobe CC a couple of days ago, using the educational package -- for which I certainly qualify. With great excitement, I downloaded and installed Desktop CC, and right away got to work installing the apps that I'd be needing (Mainly Illustrator, Photoshop, as well as Premiere and After Effects) along with some other apps I thought would be interesting to get to know. On my first launch, I was asked to sign-in with my Adobe ID, so I did and I agreed to the T&C's when prompted and then finally got into Illustrator! After messing around and getting used to the bump from CS6 to CC I closed Illustrator out and wanted to move onto After Effects since I've been curious about it for a while. When I launched it, I, again, was asked to agree to the T&C's and to sign in, just like before. Except, now, When I hit the 'continue' button that should launch the Adobe App, I was looped back around to the first screen asking me to sign-in. I shrugged it off and figured that It was because I hadn't restarted after an install or something, and since it was late I turned off my computer to try again in the morning. Much to my dismay, the problem persisted -- constantly looping me back around to the beginning of the licensing process. I tried some other apps and I didn't seem to be able to load any except for Reflow. Naturally, I took to Google and the Forums to find a cure for the problem, and I did, indeed, find many solutions, but none of which worked. I've restarted my PC, I've reinstalled CC, I've used the cleaner to remove everything Adobe and then gone in manually and tinkered around with settings, and folders (often being the OOBE thing). I've dropped firewalls, raised them, reset permissions and yet nothing seems to be working.
Around the 3rd day of this, I got some different results! I had decided to see what would happen if I signed in with a second Adobe ID that did not have CC installed. I used my school email to sign in and it started up a trial mode! I found a lot of resources for fixing that problem too -- but no solutions that worked for me. I naturally had my language settings in English (North America) since I'm from the U.S. but have tried English (International) too.
    I'm running a Toshiba Satellite
    i7 2.4GHz - 8 Core
    8Gb Ram
    Windows 8 - 64 Bit
    HD Intel Graphics  4000
Here is an image set that goes through the different windows in order, to help explain what my issue is:This is what I see when I click on an app to launch. (It always says 30)
When I click "Licence this software" I get this.
This is what appears after I hit the "Sign In" button. When I click "continue" the whole loop begins again. In-between this image, and the one above, the window turns grey with a white box inside and the loading circle briefly.
    Any suggestions?

    Hi Niwdoog1,
    We apologies for the inconvenience.
I think it's due to insufficient permission on Adobe licensing folders.Your subscription is not activated yet. Please rename the OOBE folder from C:\Users\unser name\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE and check permisson on below folders.
    C:\ProgramData\Adobe\SLStore
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe
Let us know if it works.

  • Endless Telnet Read Loop

    Hi
My goal is to constantly archive data to a local machine thru a Telnet connection.  I receive a small amount of streaming data (25 bytes/second) thru a static IP address.  The code that is attached is my attempt to
    1) initiate a Telnet connection to a static IP address
    2) read the streaming data, write to binary file on local machine
    3) send some pertinent info to the screen for the user
since I always want to have the VI reconnect if the Telnet connection is dropped (or times out), I attempt an "endless" loop that will
    4) close the Telnet connection
    5) reopen the Telnet connection
    6) recommence writing data to binary file on local machine
    My questions are:
Q1) Did I write this correctly?  Behavior is erratic.  Sometimes works perfectly, sometimes doesn't work.  I am unclear if I need to use a sequence of events within the outer loop to properly reconnect whenever a telnet connection is lost (sequence1: open Telnet, 2: write data. 3: close session, loop back to 1).
Q2) Often, when there appears to be no successful Telnet connection (by this, I mean no data streams to the screen which indicates the data feed will not be written to a binary file on the local machine), the numbers in the "File Size (bytes)"  continue to increase.  When I open the binary file to see what is being written I find the same character repeated instead of the data I wish to collect.  I think perhaps that the Telnet Read is reading something, but I don't know what it is, or how to control it.  Any ideas?
    Thanks!

I said stop the inner loop either when the
button is pressed (as you still have) OR there is an error.  So look at
the status of the error wire and OR it with the stop button before
wiring into the inner loops stop terminal.
    Ok. Clear now.
    I'm not sure
    why you'd be getting a stop/continue dialog for error 56 because I
can't see anywhere in the code that would cause the dialog to pop up.
Drop some more indicators on your error wires, or probes.  Run with
highlight execution turned on.  Do any or all of these things until you
can figure out where the error is occurring.
Ok.  I can do this.  More later if necessary.
    I don't know
where ^@ would be getting generated from unless somehow the telnet
protocol is doing it.  What you could do is put a case structue or
select statement in the middle of the string so that if there is no
error, the string value goes from the read to the file.  If there is an
error, an empty string goes to the file.
What do you mean by "in the middle"?
Q3: Is it possible that having multiple Telnet sessions open at one time would create issues like this?  The final goal is to archive the telemetered data from 6 stations at once through the telnet port of one machine.
    Go Beavers.

  • Updating Apps...stuck in a sign-in loop!

I just saw that the app store shows I have 9 updates available for my iPad 3GS. When I went to update my apps, I did the typical sign-in to the App store. It appeared that it was going to go through the normal app install beginning with my flight tracking app. Shortly after the download appeared to begin, however, I received another prompt saying that I needed to login to my account. Rather than simply allowing me to log in, though, it oddly went into some type of prompt loop that would never allow me to sign-in, but kept reproducing the login prompt. It does this same routine about a dozen times or so (maybe nine, corresponding to each of my updates?), until I can finally cancel out.
I restarted the iPad, but haven't reset it yet. The problem persists. Has anyone else had any issues? BTW, I'm attempting to install the updates via WiFi, and all other wireless features seem to work fine.
I need to figure this out, but the timing also seems rather curious given yesterday's revelation of the AT&T security breach. Probably not related, but it raised my eyebrows for sure.
    Any thoughts?

Figured it out. Just updated one app rather than selecting 'update all'. It allowed me to sign-in and update my credit card on file which was about to expire. Still don't know why it got caught in that loop each time, but all is well now.

  • Photo Elements 12 Sign-in Loop

I have recently purchased a update to Photo Elements 12.  It has operated well but has never really allowed me to register properly.  Each time I try to enter Photo Editor it requests a sign-in.  I go through the sign-in procedure but it does accept tghis so I change my password which is successfully completed but it still doesn't accept me.  So I cancel and enter Photo Editor.  Today it has stopped allowinh me access to Photo Editor just looping me through the sign-in.  Again I tried changing my password - successfully - but still didn't work. Still no access at all to Pjoto Editor.  Most frustrating.  Can get into Organiser however, but I need Photo Editor.
    Can you help please?

This is the new activation method. You need to contact support directly for activation/deactivation and other installation issues. It’s usually possible to start a live chat, if an Adobe agent is free, and often to get the problem fixed right away.
