Endless "Your iCloud session has expired" messages - any solution?

I seem to have two related and incredibly annoying problems for which I have been unable to find a truly effective, long-term solution after extended web searches. Everything I try doesn't truly fix the problems, which I suspect are related ones:
1. In the course of normal usage of iTunes (ever since beginning use of iCloud), I frequently get the message "Your iCloud session has expired" and I am prompted to re-enter my password. When I re-enter it, everything works - until 5, 10 or 15 minutes later, when it pops up again - and again. I haven't been this annoyed since I dealt with the constant "Nervous Nellie" security popups on Windows XP. Is there any way to get iCloud to calm down?
2. Similar deal with iTunes Match. Almost every time I turn on any Mac with it enabled, iTunes Match will not actually work. I have to sign out from the iTunes Store, then sign back in, click iTunes Match, click "Add computer" (even though this is the same computer over and over again) and wait about 2 minutes to go through the activation and matching process again. Then it works fine. But should I close iTunes, shut down my computer, etc. and come back to use iTunes again, it's the same crazy routine all over again. Can't use it properly unless I sign out, sign in, re-activate iTunes Match, etc. Driving me crazy. Both iCloud and iTunes Match could be such tremendous services, but this buggy nonsense is hardly worth my time. Basically, a waste of $25 at this point.
Oh, by the way, iTunes Match works fine on my iPad 2 and Apple TV (never need to go through this song and dance).
If anyone has encountered either of these errors and found a solution, I'd be most grateful to hear about them.

Okay, I found additional help for the first problem on this forum. The threads I was hoping to finally appeared when I posted this question. I followed the advice posted by the community and it seems to have worked: Go into Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Details > select "apple.com" and click Remove (thanks to BasementJack and JHdeVilliers). What I do not yet know is whether or not I'll have to repeat this action now. But it's a good start. However, iTunes Match is still a mess - no improvement.

  • "iCloud Session Has Expired" Problem on a PC

I realize a lot of other people have already posted on this problem; but none of those threads have addressed how to deal with this issue on a PC, so I haven't been getting anywhere; and it's filling me with rage and frustration to deal with this stupid prompt every 2 seconds.
I am about to throw my computer out the window. At some point some months ago, I started getting the message- I have no idea why.  I just need it to go away. I'm not doing anything with the iCloud, I don't care about it.  I just want to listen to my iTunes in peace.
A previous respondant to an earlier thread about this problem on devices with Safari said they fixed the problem by going into iTunes and "unsubscribing or deactivating" the "iTunes in the Cloud" option; but I don't have that option when I go to my settings.  I can see the "iTunes in the Cloud" section; but my only option given there is "Manage Devices", which leads me to a screen where my only option is to sever the connection between my APPLE ID and my iPhone, which I don't want to do.  And for the record, I don't have iTunes Match, and have no interest in it.
With everyone in the world using computers and using iTunes, I just can't believe that I can't find a solution to this problem online.  Blows my mind.
Can ANYBODY shed any light on this?  Please.

    Hey deekadelic,
Thanks for the question. I can definitely understand how frustrating this issue may be. However, I think I’ve figured out what may be going wrong. Your previous research leads you to the solution of deactivating the preference “Show iTunes in the Cloud Purchases” - which I concur with. However it sounds like you are navigating to your iTunes Store account preferences, instead of the iTunes application preferences.
To configure this setting, click File > Preferences… then navigate to the “Store” tab and deselect “Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases”:

If your “File, Edit, View etc” menu is not visible, you can learn how to turn it on:

  • I am trying to set up a genius bar appointment on my computer and it tells me "Sorry your session has expired. Please sign in again using your Apple ID account name and password" I know they are correct and use them to sign in on my phone.

Hi I am trying to set a appointment for the Genus bar on my computer.  I know for a fact that my login is correct.  I have used it to sign in here and make a apointment (had to do it on my phone).  When I get to the appointment area it tells me to resign, and tells me "SORRY" Your lass session has expired.  Pleae sign in using your apple id account name and password.  I have tried resetting my password and all.  I am running Internet Explorer version 11 and my windows is 7.  Any help would be nice...

ok.. I tried this three times and kept getting that access denied thing when I clicked post my questions. So now maybe I wont have to typ this a fifth time....
I have a MAC computer with Sync. Was set up under sync Beta. I have an Android phone synced to it that was synced using the pair this device function. It works perfectly. I just got a new Android Tablet and am trying to add it to my sync and it does not seem to have the pair my device function. It insists I log into my sync account. So I try it and it tells me invalid userid/password. I verify and it is the exact email address userid that shows as being my sync account on the MAC. I verify the password on the MAC and it tests out fine. Try the tablet again and invalid.. So I try to reset my password on the tablet and am told my email address/account name does not exist. I just verified it AND Synced my MAC using it!! I have my recovery Key but there is no place to input it into the tablet. There is no place on tablet to enter the link device codes. How can my account be valid and in use on two devices but invalid and nonexistant on the new one? And How do I get the New one to sync with other two?

  • "login session has expired" after am substitution

    Dear,
I deployed a couple of substitutions with my project (CU2) - I substituted a VO and an Application module (RequisitionsAM) with custom VO and custom application module.
Now any time I click on any of the seeded LOVs on the page I have the message:
"You cannot complete this task because one of the following events caused a loss of page data:
    Your login session has expired.
    A system failure has occurred."
I have a feeling it is because of AM substituion but I can not explain why? Does anybody have an idea?
    Thank you much.
    Anatoliy

RequisitionsAM, i think u r talking about i-proc, RequisitionAM is a root AM, as per the know limitation of MDS, you can not extend the root AM(if it has LOV on that page). I think you have extended and then substituted root AM, here that is y you are facing the problem. This is known limitation of OA Framework, clearly documented in OA Developers' guide.

My problem is that I am working on a page and then I receive ....Error saving the journal. Perhaps your session has expired-try reloading the page". I used to receive from Firefox when reloading page...To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat any action'. This can be caused by corrupted cookies or cookies that are blocked (check the permissions on the about:permissions page).
Clear the cache and the cookies from websites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
    *Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
You get an alert about resending POST data if you go back to a page or refresh a page that was previously requested from the server by submitting form data via a (hidden) POST form.<br />
Firefox can only make sure to get the same page by resending that POST form.<br />
Firefox doesn't know what that form data means, so Firefox asks for confirmation before resending that form data as such an action can cause you to repeat an action and buy another item or post a message another time.<br />
A way to prevent this pop-up about resending POST data is not to use the Back button, but to open links on a page requested from a server by sending a form with POST date in a new tab (window) with a middle-click or a Ctrl + left-click.

  • How to solve tproblem "Your session has expired" temporary.

I think developers always feel frustrated about a issue when Uploading app & Downloading data and meeting a problem of message: "Your session has expired. Please click Login to log back into iTunes Connect."
I suggest you have to email to Apple via "Contact Us" to report this issue, but I have another way to solve this temporary.
It is the problem of system time.
So you can follow these steps to solve it temporary:
    1. Logout any web site which using Apple ID.
    2. Disable your Auto time sync of your system clock.
    3. Choose a day in the future at least 1 day further and apply to clock.
    4. Login iTunes Connect again.
Now you will have the time about 10 minutes to work until session has expired again.
If it happen again, you can:
    1. Close browser
    2. Adjust system clock go further 1 or more days future again.
    3. Login again.
Repeat those steps until your work has been done.
After all, this is temporary effective, you have to wait Apple to really solve on their servers' side.

Sure, you can set an expiration time on the session, but if the session is invalidated by the container, then you have no way of determinig if the user is accessing a page with no session or with a session that has expired.
There is a difference between the two cases. A user accessing a page with no session context should be redirected to a login page with no message indicating why they are being redirected. But a user accessing a page with an expired session should be informed that their session has expired and they are required to login in again.
This is the convention that most high-profile site on the web implement into their owns applications.

  • "Your payment method has expired" error message on a new card.

Hey all, my debit card recently expired and so I wanted to update the details to my new one. Initially just changing the numbers and expiry date over just gave me the same "Your payment method has expired. Please enter valid payment method information." message. I erased all the card information so no card was tied to the account then tried to add my new debit card - However I am still getting this same message even though it clearly hasn't expired since the card is valid until 2015.
Does anybody have any idea why this is happening?
    Thanks,

  • How to resolve "Your Trial Has Expired" message when launching InDesign CS6

Hello, just joined the Creative Cloud via the "Free" option.  The Adobe Application Manager downloaded and installed after which I was presented the list of Adobe Products which I could "Try" for the 30-day trial period.  After installing InDesign CS6 for trial, I'm getting a "Your Trial has Expired" message when I launch InDesign C6.
My PC environment is: Windows 7 Pro - SP1 (x64 bit)
I do have Adobe Acrobat X installed (with Enfocus PitStop v10 plugin)
Any thoughts as to what is causing this error??
    How do I resolve it??

    Hi MickyRatz,
If the trial version indicates as being expired then it has expired. There is no way to extend the trial.
You can find more details at Adobe trial software expired early -http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/trial-software-expired-early .html.

  • ISE 1.2 issue with CWA (Error : Your session has expired)

    Hii
we have ISE deployment with two administration nodes and two service policy nodes running 1.2.1.198 , with CWA for wireless guest users (Cisco WLC) . Suddenly , many guest users faced an issue where login page is redirected but after inserting user/password  it gave ""Your session has expired. Sign on again""
    authentication logs on ISE shows:
    Event  5418 Guest Authentication Failed
    Failure Reason  86017 Session Missing
    Resolution  Please contact your Administrator
Root cause  SessionID is missing. Please contact your System Administrator
we suspected the bug CSCul10677 , but it is fixed in 1.2.1.198 . We reloaded the two service policy nodes and that resolved the issue temporarily , but it showed back after couple of hours . The issue appeared with some users not all , and with no specific devies or operating systems.
    Any idea ?
    Regards,
    Mohammad

Please refer the link : https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/12131531/ise-12-guest-access-session-expired
    Workaround:
Terminate session from admin UI and type in the original URL to redirect to guest portal with a new session-id.
Disconnect SSID, wait for a few minutes, reconnect and enter the original URL to redirect to guest portal with the new session-id.

  • Your Session has Expired - iPhone SDK 3.1.2

I am new in development. I had my activation done. I try to download from my Mac - Safari and Firefox and I have this error.
    Your session has expired.
Please return to the ADC Member Site and attempt to download the file again.
If you feel you received this message in error, please reference this code when contacting the ADC Support Team: V2
I had been trying for almost a week and still have this error. I had submitted my problem to Apple but no reply from them. Anyone can advice on this.
    regards

Updating - my issue was solved:
I've noted that when I was trying to download it through my VPN connection (which connects my internet with my office internet), I forgot to check the "Send all traffic over VPN connection" under the "system preferences - network - My VPN Connection - Advanced...". After checking that this option was "enabled" and all of my network traffic was passing through the VPN, I succeeded downloading it. By that point it must be something wrong with my ISP "Telefonica Espana - Madrid".
It turns out to be a "intercept proxy" which was implemented by them. As I'm a new subscriber to their service, by default, they redirect my internet connection through this proxy, which they "offer" as a "security" service in order to avoid spamming, fishing websites threats, "parental control" over the web and finally as a "ad blocking proxy". My actual ISP (telefonica espana) offers it by default to their new subscribers and after 30 days they charge us 3,50 EUR/month for this proxy service called "Canguro Net Plus". Actually this clumsy proxy service was blocking my download requests on http://developer.apple.com/iphone. Even after disabling the "Canguro Net Plus" service through its web page configuration, it was still forcing my internet connection to pass through their clumsy proxy. I had to call to their customer service number to request it to be cancelled (They will only accept to cancel it if you call them by phone). After that I'm now able to download the iphone sdk 3.1.3, 2.82 GB in 45 minutes.
So, if the workaround mentioned above, regarding the change from http to https, doesn't work for you, I suggest you to try a VPN connection in which you must be able to access the internet as well. As a diagnose action you can even try to download it through the "Tor" (The onion router) just to let you verify that through "Tor" you are able to download just a small part of the 2.82 GB. "Tor" is really slow therefore you won't be able to download the iphone sdk (as I said - it's only for a diagnose action). It'll just indicate you that your ISP probably is blocking your download with a clumsy "intercept/cache/transparent proxy" service. Maybe you are able to detect that your ISP is applying some kind of proxy service over your internet connection. Just google it or contact your ISP customer service.
    Good luck!
