Enforce Maximum Login Time Parameter

Hello,
When i set the "Enforce Maximum Login Time" parameter to True and the login time to 5 minutes. After this time, there is no user log out.
Please is there any way to active this ?
Thanks,

Hi Abdelatif,
When you change this parameter it will only be applied to "new " user logins. This change will have no effect on already logged in users. Have you tried a new login to see if the :05 logout is applied?
Hope this helps!
Rob

• "Filtering exceed maximum allocated time" error in crawl log

A crawler log contained the following error. Is this error related to the Crawler Configuration "Crawler Timeout Threshold (seconds)" parameter? (Mine is set to *30* seconds.)
"Filtering exceed maximum allocated time *108* seconds; process killed. exit with status 1 without any error message"

No, they are unrelated. Filtering is the process of converting formatted (eg, Word, PDF) docs into indexable text. If it exceeded 108 seconds the process had almost certainly hung, which most likely indicates a corrupt file.

• Forms property 'Maximum Query Time'

Running Forms 6.0
I would like to use the forms property
'Maximum Query Time'
It doesn't seem to work.
Do I have to make some kind of setup on the server?
What unit is 'Maximum Query Time' - seconds?
- Flemming
null

Hello pradeepantony,
According to the help file, that property is:
Provides the option to abort a query when the elapsed time of the query (in seconds) exceeds the value of this property.
How you would use it would be if you did not want your user to sit and wait a significant amount of time while a query executes. Some processes can take a fair amount of time on a busy database. Setting this property will assure your user will not wait any longer than the number of seconds you set in this property.
I have a couple of stored procedures that take "many minutes" to execute. If a user had issued a query against a table that one of my stored procedures had locked and I had set this parameter, the screen would abort the query and not wait for my stored procedure to complete. Otherwise, the user would have to wait until the database freed up the table before completing the query.
Hope this helps,
Don.

"javax.jdo.option.MaxPool=20" and for postgresql I have "max_connections
= 80", the action I am doing at that time is quite simple (and the

than 2 connections since there is only one read and one write going on.
Do you guys have any clue how could this happen? do I miss something
obvious? and how are the connections managed for the query?

how to track the login time and logout times of clients

When the client logs in you write the client's ID and the current time to a database. Likewise when the client logs out. Assuming of course that you have a program that knows when those events occur.

• Very Slow VDI Client Login Time

Hi,
My environment contains two Hyper-V Servers for DCs, Connection Broker, RD-Web, and two Hyper-V servers as virtualization host to thin clients. All Hyper-V servers are only 35% utilized and all client VMs don't have a performance issue.
After setting up the roles and creating the "Personalized Pools", I open the RD-Web, click on the collection and here it takes a very long time in securing connection part, then a warning message appears for the connection broker self-signed certificate,
I accept it and again a very long time to open the VM.
After searching the internet I figured out that I should install "PFX" certificates for the connection broker (SSO, Publisher). In my environment, we don't use a public certificate from trusted root CAs, however, we have our own "Enterprise
Root CA".
I then figured that I should create a certificate with the following attributes:
Advanced Key Usage: Server Authentication, Client Authentication
Key Usage: Data encipherment, Digital Signature, Key Agreement
I created the certificate and imported it to the RD CB, however, the "securing connection" part was even slower than before, so I duplicated the "Computer" certificate, and configured 1024 bit certificate instead of the old one "2048".
The "securing connection" part is taking half the time now, however it is still very long "+60 seconds" to open the VM.
I still suspect that it is a certificate issue and not sure if I have done the correct certificate.
Would anyone help in this case and providing the correct steps to install a certificate for the RD CB from internal CA.
Thanks.

• French characters in run time parameter values doesn't show up in emails

We have a custom workflow with configurations to send email when a request is assigned to a person and also to send email on request rejections.
We are encountering following issues with respect to French characters that are available in the message body and message subject.
Issue 1:Notifications are configured in Human Task (ApprovalTask.task) when a task is assigned. Since the message body contains French characters we have used ISO-8859-1 encodings to render the message properly to the user. The message body also has some run time content from the task payload.
For e.g. À titre de responsable fonctionnel, une demande d''approbation pour un accès informatique vous est assignée.
Accès informatique demandé : <%/task:task/task:payload/ns1:ObjectDetails/ns1:name%>
In this case all static text values are rendered properly to the end user in his email. However the French characters in run time parameter values doesn't show up properly and has some weird characters.
Issue 2: Unable to change the default subject shown in the approval task emails i.e. Notifications are configured in Human Task (ApprovalTask.task) when a task is assigned. By default it shows Action Required: Approval. How can this default value be changed?
Issue 3: We have an Email Activity in Bpel process that follows a task rejection. The emailpayload is ISO-8859-1 encoded and works for the message body. However the email subject shows up with ISO-8859-1 encodings itself and doesn't convert to proper string in the end user's email. Is there any specific setting required for french characters in subject?

Hi Kulwinder,
Thanks for your reply.
In fact I do, I've follewed the "Using SAP HANA Variables with SAP BusinessObjects BI4.0" guide.
Please note, when I use a fix value to parameter is working fine, for example:
SELECT *
FROM "_SYS_BIC"."prueba-concepto/CV_TEST_VAR_II" ('PLACEHOLDER' = ('$$FECHA$$','20130530'))
But when I set prompt of the DataFoundation parameter I get and error, this is my sentence:
SELECT *
FROM "_SYS_BIC"."prueba-concepto/CV_TEST_VAR_II" ('PLACEHOLDER' = ('$$FECHA$$',@Prompt(FECHA)))
To me is very curious that I can't enter a value in the DataPreview in Hana Studio, because is not requested, even when the input parameter have been set as mandatory
Have you idea of what could be happening?

• Set maximum record time?

Can I set maximum record time in Logic 8? Recording an hour-long live program unsupervised, & I'd like it to stop afterwards.
(I don't know any problem with continuing recording for hours until the hard drive is full? But it's not necessary.)
thanks

You can use the Auto-Punch In/Out function to set Logic stop recording automatically.
Also, set the bar value for the project end (at the transportbar, under the tempo).
For How long you can record depends on you HD capacity, but also the file format (aif,wav,caf...) the bit depth and the sample rate.
each format has its own limit.
Refer to user manual and check for the best file format for your purpose.

• Increased Login Time

Hi Everybody,
I have a macbook(intel processor with mac os x 10.6.1) bought it last February, it was working perfectly fine, up until a few weeks ago, that it crashed. I had put it into sleep, after some time when i tried to login, it took too much time in verifying the password, i did a forced shutdown, but after restarting i couldn't login. I repaired with the OS X DVD. Since then my computer hasn't been like what it used to be. I thought maybe a reinstallation might solve the problem. I reinstalled it two weeks ago, it worked find for the first week, but after that it started taking time in every single process.
Now since last night the login time has increased(by login i mean, from the login window that i write my user/pass it takes more than one minute before its usable!). and also while doing something in finder or launching applications it freezes for some seconds! I tried repairing disk permissions/emptying caches (with Onyx) but the problem still persist.
Have anyone encountered such a problem? or can anyone atleast give me a clue what the cause might be?
Thanks

zap PRAM (restart hold option, command, P and R)
safe boot (restart holding shift)
check smart status from disk utility. it should say "verified" if the hard drive is okay

I ended up rebooting the ASA this morning and it fixed the issue. Right away the timeout changed to what I had configured it to be and I was also able to make changes.
Here's the response from TAC. Thanks for helping with this. Much appreciated.
"I am glad that the issue was resolved on a reboot. Might be that svc sessions were stuck in the memory for some reason and the same sessions would be invoked every time you connected rather than tearing it down and creating a new svc session.
Once rebooted I believe the sessions stuck in memory were cleared and new sessions came up as a result the issue vanished. I shall surely update you as I have an update from the devs on this."

• Portal Users Login Time during a particular interval

Hello,
I have gone through many forums and blogs but didn't find any helpful comments on how do I get the list of users and their respective login times during a particular time interval. All my users are stored inside the portal only, I am not using a dual stack system. Please tell me if there is some way to find out the solution to this problem.
Thanks & Regards
Ashish Patel

Dear Ashish
Have you checked the Portal DB Tables ?
For example this table WCR_USERSTAT might be of use to you (but there are others).
But you might not find the information for "a particular interval". I believe you will have to do some development for that.
Kind Regards
/Ricardo Quintas
