[ENG/PT-BR] Configure "Scan To..." by HP directory archives
Hello, I work at a retail company, and I need to know if is it posssible to configure the "Scan To..." properties (TWAIN ON/OFF; image resolution/dpi; dimensions) of the HP LaserJet M1212nf MFP by opening on notepad a config archive with the profile saved. The questions are: 1) Is it possible?2) If It is, where is the config archive?3) Can I copy the archive to every franchise (about 80)?
In reality I couldn't print either. Not sure what really fixed it, but it seemed that adding hpoj from AUR and rebooting did it. I then readded the printer and now all works.

Error Occured while working with the configuration (scanning)
Hi
We are trying to open the configtool for our double stack NW04s system.
When we go to the mapped drive on our PC and then try to open the configtool from
usr/sap/<SID>/DV*/j2ee/configtool/configtool.bat,
it prompts if you wnat to use the default settings?
We confirm that and the it throws the screen,

Thanks for the reply. The property rdbms.connection is already set to jdbc/pool/<sid>.
This is the file content for config.properties.

We are using the toolbox driver.
The configtool gui opens up properly.
We tried editing the password for the admin/password/BID...
in the secure store but still comes back with the same error.
We did not change the the jdbc/pool/BID/Password as we were not sure.
What should jdbc/pool/BID/Password correspond to? We are putting in the J2EE_ADMIN passwords as the admin/user/BID is J2EE_ADMIN
If we change the password for the jdbc/pool/BID/Password, we believe we should be using the password for the jdbc/pool/BID/User, which in this case is SAP<SID>DB or SAPBIDDB.
We have verified the passwords for this user SAPBIDDB on the i5/OS and they look ok to us.
To verify, also logged in the portal using J2EE_ADMIN and the password given here in the configtool.
Still the same error persists.

Everytime I try to scan it says "Please wait while windows configures scan".
Hi guys. I am trying to use my HP Photosmart D110 on my windows XP SP3. I am using the same printer on another computer (Windows 7) and it works perfectly. I don't know why everytime I try to scan it tells me "Please wait while winows configures scan". I have done research on this and nothing has helped. Some people it has something to do with scan.msi. People found success with the issue I have with this forum
http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Scanning-Faxing-and-Copying/HP-C7250-quot-configures-quot-itself-every-...
Unfortunately, the program "Windows Installer Clean Up Utility" is no longer available and has been replaced with "Microsoft Fix it" and the person who answered the question (rasengan-bankai) said to look for "scan" but in the list it doesn't show anything that specifically that says that. This is what the list contains (that has to do with HP):
HPAppStudio
HP Product Assistant
Solution Center
I don't know what to do and anything that helps fix the problem will be greatly appreciated. Also, I don't know if this has anything to do with the subject but the computer I am using (Windows XP SP3) was not working a while back and had to replace the hard drive and reformatted it.
Thanks a lot for your help.It sounds like your install has become messed up in some manner. It is possible that not all portions installed correctly or that registry keys tied to the program have been broken. I would advise performing a cleanup uninstall process and then reinstall the software on your PC. I will provide these steps below.
1. Run disk cleanup on your computer
2. Download and run the software and drivers below.
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=mp-80511-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&...
3. Once the download is done extracting, cancel the download.
4.. Press the Windows key + R on the keyboard to bring up the run menu.
5. Type %temp% in the run field and click OK.
6. Look for, and open the folder starting with 7z (Example: 7zS2356)
7. Open folder Util
8. Open folder CCC
9. Run the uninstall_ L4.bat for non-HP computers. For HP computers run the Uninstall_L3.bat
10. When the uninstall has completed restart the computer
11. Run Disk cleanup from Accessories\ System Tools
12. Download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player
http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
13. Use this tool to clean the system and registry. Note: This utility is not HP sponsored or approved. HP and I are not responsible for damages or loss of data caused by the utility. This step is optional. You can skip it if you want.

14. Download the full feature software and drivers
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=mp-80511-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&...
15. Run the download to reinstall the printer

Why do i get "please wait while windows configures scan" every time i scan something?
when I go to scan something I get "please wait while windows configures scan"
Thanks Claudio,
But if I remove Adobe Reader traces, then this means I am removing Adobe Reader XI, right?
I need Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.x becuase I have its license, and I need its functionality.
I had to install Adobe Reader XI, becuase I found annoying problem with Chrome browser, everytime I open PDF inside Chrome, I get prompt from Chrome that I must install the latest version of Adobe Reader. This prompt is so annoying to the extent that sometimes the PDF does not open at all, or it will cause unwanted display related resutls.

HI,
How can I configure multiple domains on Active Directory. When I installed AD it asked for a domain name, there I gave ravigupta.com as domain name. But now I find no way of creating another domain.
I am a java developer and my task is to write a programme which returns all the domains available in LDAP server.
To start with ,I tried to create few domains in LDAP server ( AD ) but stuck up ,as i found there could exist only one domain.
Please tell me how to configure multiple domains in LDAP server ( Active Directory).
I skiped DNS configuration while AD installation.
-raviI'm sorry, but you should be asking on a different forum. This has nothing to do with Java.

No sender agreement configured in the XI Integration Directory
Hi,
I am using MPA(MML) message format in XI scenario. My scenarios are R3->XI->Marketplace and Marketplace->XI->R3. The first scenario works fine with no problems where as when i try to post MML message from marketplace to XI system, i am seeing the "No sender agreement configured in the XI Integration Directory for the given message header:SenderParty=xxxx; ReceiverParty=; SenderService=xxxxx; ReceiverSerivce=xxx; Interface=xxxx; InterfaceNamespace=xxx;". I have created sender agreement for this secenario, and moreover i haven't this sender agreement in the xi cache. Please let me know if i am missing anything in the configuration.
Thanks & Regards
SrujThanks a lot for replies, but i have tried all these options but no luck. Does it need any additional configurtion to resolve this issue, i dont think this is cache issue, if that is the case after all steps which i have done should have fixed it. Please post your comments.
Once again thanks a lot for everyone.
Thanks & Regards,
Sruj

Configuring "Scan To E-mail" on HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus N911g
This is the same issue reported by several other users in this forum to which no solution has been provided.
I have been unsuccessful in setting up the scan to e-mail option for a HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus N911g purchased on August 12th 2012 and using the firmware CLP1CN1150CR.
I am trying to do this through the Embedded Web Server interface to the printer from an iMac running Mac OS X 10.6.8 and HP Utility 5.8.0. More specifically the page under "Scan -> Scan to E-mail -> Outgoing E-mail Profiles".
I have tried 2 different SMTP outgoing servers, each of which works well to send e-mail from the computer: Apple iCloud e-mail service (formerly known as Mobile Me, formerly known as .Mac) and AT&T Net e-mail service. I verified that the server name, port number and authentication login/password values were all correct.
When scan to e-mail is used from the printer, I get an error message: Cannot connect to server. Check server name and address.
When tested from the computer during the setup of an outgoing e-mail profile, I get an error message: The device could not send the test e-mail message. (EmailAccounts-timeout).
When I try to configure the page under "Settings -> E-mail Alerts -> E-mail Server" and use exactly the same values as the ones in the outgoing e-mail profile above, the Save and Test option fails with an error message: The device could not send the test e-mail message.
Interestingly enough, I am able to use the computer's e-mail client with the option Scan To Computer -> E-mail as PDF or E-mail as JPEG. With this option, the file is scanned and added as an attachment to a mail message from the Mail client under Mac OS X. When I press the Send button, the e-mail is sent successfully through the same SMTP server.
All the error messages seem to indicate that the printer's e-mail client software is unable to establish a connection to the SMTP server. However, it is not clear what configuration parameter is the one that could be causing the problem.
This question was solved.
View Solution. After further research, I noticed that there are other possible default Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) port values:
Port 25 is the standard SMTP port number.
Port 465 is the port number for SMTP over SSL, Secure SMTP (SSMTP).
Port 587 is the dedicated port number for a Mail Submission Agent (MSA) that uses a variant of the SMTP, as specified in RFC 6409, which requires that clients are authorized and authenticated to use the mail submission service.
I had been using port number 25 as this is the standard one. However, all tests were failing. Hence, I decided to try the tests with ports numbers 465 and 587.
Port number 465 failed with the same errors listed above. However, the tests passed with port number 587. After saving the successful configuration with port number 587, I tried the scan to e-mail option from the printer and it worked.
A mail submission agent (MSA) is a computer program or software agent that receives electronic mail messages from a mail user agent (MUA) and cooperates with a mail transfer agent (MTA) for delivery of the mail.
Historically in Internet mail, both MTA and MSA functions use port number 25. However, many Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and enterprise or institutional networks restrict the ability to connect to remote MTAs on port 25.
With a dedicated port 587, it is always possible for users to connect to their domain to submit new mail. Availability of a MSA on port 587 enables nomadic users to continue to send mail via their preferred submission servers even from within others' networks. Using a specific submission server is a requirement when sender policies or signing practices are enforced.
I know that many users may find the technical details boring or confusing, but I just wanted to include some background to those who actually care about this level of detail. I also wanted to provide a possible solution to other users who are experiencing the same problem.
So, in a nutshell, if the Scan To E-mail option is not working for you using port number 25, then try one of the other SMTP port numbers listed above. If none of them work, check your mail provider for other possible outgoing server port numbers. -
How to configure security realm for Active Directory ?
Hi,
Can any body suggest how to configure security realm in weblogic 8.1
I have simple login page where in user can enter his credentials, and i have MS-Active Directory where we maintain all users.
users who loged into web application has to be authenticated from Active Directory.
please suggest what are the steps that we need to follow
thanks in advanceHi Sankar,
You can login to the weblogic server admin console and create a new realm.
Once you have created the realm you can add the authentication provider. You add the Active Authentication Provider. But you must have the the configuration inforamation of MS AD.You can read my blog http://dev2dev.bea.com/blog/bishnu_kumar/
where the integration is with iPlanet LDAP.Steps will be similar.
You must have a login portlet in your portal application and that should have been in accordance with j2ee security standards. For example you may use basic authentication or userlogin control or p13n API

Failed to configured referral on LDAP Sun Directory
Hi all,
My customer has a problem in config. BOE to LDAP servers; which has 2 referral ldap hosts.
The test cases are:
- If BOEXIR2 talks to LDAP v6.2, it works. BOE can see the users and logon via Infoview
- But the problem exists when 2 LDAP servers setup with referral users.
LDAP A has 2 dynamic groups. 1 dynamic group referred to users created in LDAP A. Another dynamic group was referral to LDAP B.
In this case, BOE is not able to see any user group.
The customer is using BOEXIR2 and LDAP Sun Dir 6.2. I understand this is not an official supported platform, but I suspect the issue was not caused by version compatibility, but the configuration.
Have you heard any similar issue? Any idea? Thanks.
Regards,
GloriaHave you configured the referral in the CMC/auth/LDAP?
Does the user account used to configure it have read/query access to both LDAP servers?
Try using a directorymanager/admin account instead to see if it produces different results.
I honestly have not seen the referral option used very often (usually gets configured by mistake).
Also what if you use static groups, in other words are referrals only failing for dynamic groups? The query mechanism for dynamic groups is quite a bit different than that of static so it's possible you may have found a bug

Configuring apache and changing default directory
I'm a new-bee at this..
I started Web sharing but I would like to change location..
And Configuring apache.. :o)
also would like to learn more about apache for beginners LOL :o)
Thank you.. :o)I edit httpd.conf as you noted.
#DocumentRoot "/Users/imac_willie/Sites"
DocumentRoot "/Volumes/iMac-2/MyWebpages"
#<Directory "/Users/imac_willie/Sites">
<Directory "/Volumes/iMac-2/MyWebpages">
Not working..
In the System Preferences -> Sharing -> Web Sharing
I click on http://10.0.1.2/~imac_willie/ it still points to "/Users/imac_willie/Sites"
The DocumentRoot is the default web page. It does not control the ~/imac_willie location. I'm not sure what you change for that, so I would suggest going to Google for that information.
I did see /private/etc/apache2/extra/httpd-userdir.conf referenced in /etc/apache2/httpd.conf, however, looking in that file only seemed to specify 'Sites' as in ~username/Sites.
That file also mentions /private/etc/apache2/users/*.conf, as if maybe you can have some kind of per username.conf file that somehow does something, but I do not know what should be in that file, as my system does not have any examples. Again, maybe Google would be helpful.
When I click on http://10.0.1.2/ "Error Forbidden You don't have permission to access / on this server."
I'm guessing that the permissions on /Volumes/iMac-2/MyWebpages did not allow user _www access to the files (_www is the account that apache runs under).
What are the permissions for /Volumes/iMac-2 and /Volumes/iMac-2/MyWebpages and /Volumes/iMac-2/MyWebpages/index.html ???
Then again, what do you have against /Library/WebServer/Documents?
Nothing in this directory but "index.html.en"
Well you are welcome to put your own stuff there if you like.
NOTE: I'm not an Apache expert, and I do not play one on TV. I have messed with Apache just enough to have a group web site on my Mac at work (in /Library/WebServer/Documents), but not much beyond that.
