Engineer due today
I'm switching from BT Broadband to infinity. Will the engineer actually need to come in my house or is it just a case of them switching outside the house and me installing the router inside as I am capable of doing that myself?!

Hi there, My animation works perfectly both within the Edge application preview and by opening the html file locally, but when i host it i just get a white page. I've uploaded all folders in the selected publish directory (images etc...) to multiple hosts.
When opened up with console in chrome, i get these two errors:

I've tried checking and unchecking the 'Host runtime on CDN" as well, makes no difference.
It's due today and i've spent ages running around panicking. No idea what to do, any help is really appreciated!Not really, but i've found it to work more consistently when i upload the entire folder, including the An file and the folder before it (e.g. if its in desktop>project>Animation folder upload the project folder). Also i've turned run time in the settings off. Hope it works for you.

How do I see the reminders due today
On my old iPhone4 I could easily see organize my reminders by date - and thus easily see today's reminders.
On the iPhone6 I dont know how to do that...? The reminders pop up on the lock-screen - but when activating the phone, the reminder disappears. On the iPhone 4 I could sweep from the top and see reminders due today - but that does not work on iPhone6.
How do I see all my reminders for today - or any other specific day for that matter?Note that the second image was made with Reachability as, for some reason, it was the only way I could get the top line to show in the screen shot. Ordinarily, you wouldn't see that black space at the top of the screen.

Please help. Engineer came today and has gone....
Seriously p----d off. BT engineer arrives this morning to put in Infinity. I’ve been without Broadband for nearly three weeks as EE shut my account down (long story) but they did make keep my phone line active during this time. Anyway, today, March 6, was supposedly the day BT took over the line and the broadband could also kick-off. For whatever reason, BT gave me a new number which I was told would go active today. Fine. But when the engineer arrives at 8am – guess what – the line isn’t active. Whenever you dial out, it just says “the number isn’t recognised.” Then, to complicate things further, the number BT gave me several weeks ago as my new phone number is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT to the one the engineer reckons is assigned to the line; he’s dialling 17070 and it’s telling us that a totally diff number is there which is neither my previous one or the new one. He leaves. Oh my God. I contact BT. Routed to India. Explain everything to a person there. He goes off and comes back and says it’ll be connected by 1pm today. I’m not confident. I mean, what number will be connected, exactly? I just give up. Anyone know what I should do?
You probably have a "stopped" line at the moment, and the changeover to your new number will take place overnight, within the exchage software.
This is an automatic process which is triggered when the provision task has been completed.

Engineer visited today to correct a faulty connect...
Hello forums. Is there any way to contact my local exchange (Iver, Buckinghamshire) to reset my line to full speed.
With the repair done and the quietest line we have ever had, the speed has not improved. I did the bt speed test and the hub is connected to the exchange at a blistering (for us) 5335k! What is going on, can any one help. After almost 3 years of calling out engineers and I think even having to pay the call out once as the engineer reported a fault with a lead saying we could have done it! So the engineer today did his job properly and did find a connecter in the ground that was green with rot, replaced and tested with flying colours.
So did this engineer forget to contact the local exchange on leaving to reset our ip profile? Interestingly the ip profile being 135k the test showed up 144k filled in the boxes to be told the actual connection I get is faster than the profile and this is incorrect, could not go any further with the test as the screen would not let me enter the true reading the tester gave me.

Go to Solution.It can take a few days for the line profile to rise, after a line fault. Just leave it connected, do not restart the home hub, or depower it.
Then do anothe BT speed test in about three days.

Subscription due today - was charged FIVE times fo...
I'm subscribed to the Unlimited World 3 Months subscription via Paypal to my Skype account. However today, I got messages from Paypal saying that I made a payment to Skype. That's fair enough... Until I looked at my Paypal account.
Skype have charged me not $25 like it should have, but $125. I've already filled out a refund request but understandably I'm very flustered because this has pretty much wiped me out. Is there a mod or staff member that I can talk to about this?fowkes wrote:

1. Accounts are usually blocked if there has been a chargeback to protect the user's assets but, in most cases, we can have them unblocked fairly quickly if the user has changed his/her password.

Project is due today, and I'm messed up!! Help
k, I packaged every java file I have for my application. The original java file which is packaged is in a folder called Project and is on my desktop. As for all the .class file, it is stored inside my C drive. The classpath is looks like this:
C:\j2sdk1.4.0_01\bin\class\final\project
I have a .bat file with this written inside:
javaw ProjectMain
which ProjectMain is the .java file that will execute the application.
Each time I try to run this .bat file, I get a prompt saying that the main class is not found(note: ProjectMain.class is already inside my project folder(classpath). The question to you all is, What am I doing wrong or what needs to be changed so that I can run my application? project is due in 2 hours, i'm messed up big time! HelpI'M DOOMED...................................J/k

Can you HELP me or NOT??Depends what you mean. Will I write you any code? No. Will I tell you what to write? No. You can do it yourself, that's why it's called your homework. I will, though, give you a couple of tips on how to get started.
1) Throw away what you've done
2) Do a quick requirements analysis. That means, write down descriptive, plain English (or whatever language you think in) what the thing is supposed to do. "Be a hangman game" is too brief, but twenty pages of technical jargon is too much. Write a bit of a story about what the program must do. You now have the start of a design.
3) Break down what has to be done into manageable chunks. Your first mistake (and most newbs) was trying to write one side of the game in a single class. Don't be afraid to write 20 classes, or 50, if that's what's needed. It'll be easier both now and in the long run
4) Tackle each chunk one by one. Don't try and do it all at once, that never works. If you write the code one bit at a time, you'll inevitably write more modular code
5) You'll probably screw it up. Don't worry. It happens. Try again
6) Don't give up. Writing software is hard, there's no way around that, so deal with it
7) Don't make the mistake of thinking the software is the GUI. It isn't (don't extend JFrame, hint hint)

Any ideas why an applet wouldn't align properly in Netscape? It works fine but it's not fitting in table correctly.

PROJECT DUE TODAY __ NEED HELP!!!
i posted earlier about how DVDStudio is quitting itself while rendering the menu. i think exactly what it says is rendering menu1, language menu. i sat here and watched it for 4 hours and it gets to 60%, shuts down. no file to be found, nothing. i have used the burn, format/build, and stopped that and i just want to build it. i have rebuilt, recompressed, and re-encoded this movie countless times, so please do not tell me to re-compress, encode, or import my files - that IS NOT working.
i can't just throw it together via iDVD, as the menu has already been approved in the first proof and is what they are expecting. this just started happening this weekend, i'm not sure what's going on. PLEASE HELP!!!

ps - dvdstudio 4, powerbook G4, external 800 gb raid drive holds all the video files and i have tried to set preferences to build to that drive and to the system drive. i have encoded via compressor AND dvd studio.there is no chance for me to copy it, as DVDSP shuts down too quickly.
when i re-open the program, there is no record of my effort to build prior. everything reads completed until it reaches "rendering Menu 1, Language 1", then it takes appx 4 hours to render 60%, then it closes up.
i have done an "updated" installation and now i am re-encoding again to try to start over. this is a very simple project. one menu consisting of 4 loops (m2v), one audio track in menu (ac3), and one text button that leads to an 8 minute long track (m2v). -
Moving house: engineer no show
I planned on 7th of february the engineer visit to move my broadband and phone to my new flat. Visit due today. Nobody showed up, no message, call or texts to tell me what to do. I find it quite an hassle to go through the dedicated phone line which on purpose it seems avoid to direct your to a human but keep on sending you to a robot.
At the end, I get a supervisor on the phone. He told me that the external work was not done. Just phone talk, no confirmation email of any kind. I dont know what that mean exactly, but I have to wait to Monday for someone to call me back to give me an update for this "external work", if someone knows what it is. I dont know even how long after this monday call I will have my second, real visit.
I lost half a day home, and will loose obviously another one I dont know when yet. I dont understand how BT can treat good customers like that. Had to wait one month for an engineer visit, lost half a day of work for nothing.
I am really "annoyed". How can I make sure BT will not put me back at the bottom of the pile ?Once the worked has been signed off by Openreach with the builders then you can chase BT - there may be a short delay before the database is updated . You may ,if possible, need to clarify with the builders that the work done by Openreach has been connected to the exchange - it has been known for this to not happen!

No BT spot for engineer to install internet & phon...
Hi, I had an engineer appointment today for reactivating my phone line as we just moved in a flat and the previous tenants had virgin. The engineer could not find "the BT spot" so he said I need permission from the Council to run a line through the close into the flat. Has anybody else had this problem? It seems a bit strange as we have a phone socket on the wall and I thought that's all you need to reactivate the phone line. Also, my first bill is due on the 21st this month and I don't want to be paying for a service which essentially I am not getting till then at all.
Virgin use their own cable network to provide the phone line, so the socket would have connected to their box. You could trace where this goes to, and if it does go outside, then there must be an external connection somewhere.
You may find it just ends within the flat, near where the Virgin Media box would have been located.
What it means is that Openreach (who provide the external connection), do not have an existing route to your flat, and would have to get permission to run a line, if it involves crossing other property.

I love Adobe products. I've been using them since the late '80s. I make my living by using Adobe products. I've owned single programs and the Master Suites, and I've been on the cloud since it started. But I've got a major problem in that in my location in the Smoky Mountains, there's only one ISP that reaches my home/office. It's a small operation, and service can be intermittant, especially over the weekend. They have no one in their office from 5PM Friday until 10AM Monday—tech support is simply voice mail.
Okay, so this weekend their operation was down shortly after they walked out the door on Friday. I had shut down at about the same time. Saturday, I fired up on a job that was due today, Monday. Photoshop and Illustrator were my main workhorses for the project, but Photoshop wanted to "license" my cloud subscription (or whatever it does once or thrice a month). It dutifully went webside to complete the transaction, but since my internet connection was down, I was refused access to my programs. All of them. Every stinking one! I went through all the things I could in case the problem was at my end of the connection, but I finally turned to my iPhone and went to my account on the Adobe Cloud site.
Seems you can't make any progress there either!
So, for an entire two and a half days (Monday morning being shot to... wherever) I've been unable to work because the cloud has no access in case of an internet interuption.
I vehemently object to this kind of system! Frankly, it sucks! I enjoy the frequent updates to the programs, but I would be a lot happier if I could have a disk with the program on it. That program might go back to the previous release or upgrade, and I might not have the latest bells and whistles, but I could at least keep on working. $600 a year for the Cloud access is a lot of money to fork out for something that's so fragile. I lost money and client confidence this weekend because I couldn't get my job done. I just have to guess that I'm only one of hundreds of people that get caught in this kind of morass due to one kind of problem or another. It's just not a good system.
Give us a break, Adobe! You know you're the only ball in the playground, can't we all play?A cloud payment should automatically be deducted from your credit card on file and would not be affected by an ISP outage.
Licensing phoning home and checking to see if you were authorized to use the products is another story.
Supposedly CC only needs to phone home every three months to check if you’re licensed, but that’s clearly not what happens, where people have to authorize every time they get into PS, sometimes multiple times a day, or at least every time they reboot—this seems to happen to me.
I agree that Adobe needs to either fix what is currently wrong, or at least relax their authorization a little, to give people a chance to resolve things before being locked out.
In your case, since your business relies on CC being authorized, it might be time to check into get a tethering option through your phone or a Wi-Fi hot-spot for when your internet isn’t working. -
SharePoint 2013 Workflow Email Reminder 3 month, 1 month, due date email reminders

I am trying to create a list workflow in SharePoint Designer 2013.
Basically, there's a column called "Revision Date" that will trigger the workflow to send a 3 month (before), 1 month (before) and day of email reminder (based on the date entered in the column "Revision Date").
I step up the workflow using stages for the 3 month before, 1 month before and actual revision date.
Example, if I change the item's revision date to today (4/8/2014), it will trigger the last part of the workflow and send an email saying that the Procedure is due today (and logs in the history that "3 Month Reminder NOT Sent" and "1 Month
Reminder NOT Sent").
If I enter the item's revision date as 3 months before (ex. 7/8/2014), it will start the workflow and send an email saying that the Procedure is due in 3 months (and logs in the history "3 Month Reminder Sent" and waits for the 1 month reminder
date to push forward with the rest of the workflow...)
However, if I set the item's revision date to 1 month before (ex. 5/8/2014), it will send the 3 month reminder email then the 1 one reminder email. I can't get it to skip the sending of the 3 month email and use the "Else" is Stage: 3 Month-- <Wait
for 1 month date (Vairable:Date4) then log "3 Month Reminder NOT Sent">.
Any ideas on what I am missing to trigger the Stage: 1 Month without sending Stage: 3 Month first?In case anyone is looking for the same information...
I was able to simply "fix" the workflow by adding a loop and a 30 day pause.
So the workflow will now "pause" until the variable date then send out the email reminder which then then repeat every 30 days until the actual revision date.
Seems to be working in test.

Awful service from infinity installation engineer
We had our BT Infinity installation engineer visit today and are trully shocked and disgusted with the experience.
I was working so my wife took the day off work for the engineer visit.
The engineer was a SUB CONTRACTOR as we found out to our dismay. Not only was he obnoxious and downright rude to my wife throughout his rushed 40 minute visit he failed to do what he was supposed to be there for.
I got home from work to find ;
1. my wife so upset at how she'd been spoken to she was nearly in tears.
2. the television unit left in the middle of the living room with loose wires everywhere.
3. my BT vision not connected to the internet (on inspection the engineer hadnt even plugged it into my hub)
4. my BT infinity router setup right next to living room radiator a direct heat source! (refused to place it anywhere else, refused to discuss more appropiate locations as he 'didnt have the time for this'
5. no devices set up to our new connection and he would not even try as he 'wasnt good with computers' (despite BT clearly stating that the engineer will conect your main computer to the new connection)
I then had to sort the whole mess out myself, even though im charged £25 for the engineer who was supposed to do it all!
I have phoned BT customer services who promise me this has been 'escalated' as a complaint and someone will be in touch within 24 hours.@Stilll40

BT won't know if its a Contractor who is sent. Also it won't be a BT Engineer as they don't install FTTC/P services. It will either be an Openreach Engineer or someone from Kellys Communications or MJ Quinns.
Jobs aren't issued to Engineers until the morning of the appointment day so the only way to know if it is someone from Kellys, MJ Quinns or Openreach is to wait for them to arrive at your house.
Thing you have to remember about MJ Quinns and Kellys is their Engineers get paid per job they do, not a salary. Therefore they don't have time to go running 20 to 30 metre data extension cables round your house. Usually with them you either have it at the current NTE location or lump it.
