How do I start the dictionary application? I have downloaded the dictionary files from nokia-aisa.com/vocabulary and put them in memory card/dictionary foler. But it says can't find the dictionary files. Please help.

Why free medical dictionaries are not available for free for nokia lumia?android provides wide variety of dictionaries,but not by windows?is it planning for this facility on new updates of nokia lumia 720?

I didnt have idea about this.i was so disappointed to know that nokia lumia does not have medical dictionary,as i belong to medical field.Though new nokia smartphones are nice,i would prefer nokia to modify the old software..some features of old nokia phones were so flawless.

I wanted to activate the english-arabic mobidic on my 9500, but when I go to Globe soft to get the activation code, when I enter the IMEI and serial number to get the code the site says incorrect serial number. So I don't know where the problem is? as I only have one serial number the sales package. and the Globe soft does not reply my e-mails, so please tell me what to do?

hi all.i have nokia 5800.i download persian package distionary from nokia web site.i tried to install it but it is an error. i get the message " install the base package first " .i serched in nokia web site but didnt fine the base package.how can i fix this problem?

Hello! I've the same problem with you! But i just fixed it Sorry, my mother language isnt english, but i try my best to let you understand what i want to say. Hope you understand my english
-Check the version of your mobile first -- click *#0000#, see if your version is it 21.0.101? Cuz your mobile need to update to this version 21.0.101 for supporting the dictionary. I think your mobile is in .0.009 version, right? Please bear in mind that the only way to solve the problem ''install the base package first'' , is to update your mobile version to 21.0.101 version! The problem will be solved!
-Please install the mini disc in your computer and finish the installation. After that you have to restart your computer. Then use the USB cable and connect to your mobile, and click the icon ''Nokia software updater'' which will be shown on the desktop after the disc installation.
-Just follow the steps to update all relating software. You have nothing to do but just to wait for the updating.
-When all software are finished installing, it will tell you that your mobile is now updated to version 21.0.101.
-Then you can install again your dictionary now! Its easy! ^-^

I am not satisfied with the inbuilt dictionary of E63. Tried some MSDict but they are not working properly with this phone..Can you suggest me with a good dictionary (free) for this phone...

There are loads of it in the net, specially English for java enabled phones, use your search engine. But even though java apps are supposed to work on all java enbled phone, some behaves diffrently because of the the display size & resolutions. Checked if is tested to work for your phone.

I have already downloaded this patch from HP.
The issue seems to be with my Nokia phone not wanting to be discovered by my HP.
They pair, but for some reason my Nokia won't allow itself to be discovered - this seems to be the issue.
I have previously paired and activated the Nokia as a modem without any problems, but foolishly lost all my connection data on the HP due to letting the battery go flat on holiday.
I'm sure that I'm just missing something relatively simple.

I have recently passed on my Nokia 6230 to my girlfriend after I upgraded, it has firmware 5.24 installed on it - is there an updated version? As it doesn't have themes on and I was wondering if it was included in a release?
Was also wondering if it would be covered under warranty? I don't have the receipt and am unsure of how long I have had the phone now - are Nokia Service Points able to check?

Current s/w vers for Nokia 6230 is 5.50.
NSC are able to check the manufacturers warranty online so give them a call.
If the unit is out of warranty they will levy a small fee to software upgrade your unit.

And one more comment. I got the same kind of exception, but with different text "error reading record data" when reading records from RS.
To get around that I close RecordStore and open it again. I don't know what's cause of this exception, but I know that this dirty workaround works.

Reset english dictionary on Nokia 6610i

I use the Nokia 6610i phone. Following is the output of *#0000# :

I've added some words and some other punctuations to the dictionary which are now getting in the way. I want to completely remove them and start out with a fresh "factory" like english predictive text input dictionary.
How do I do that? I tried using the Settings -> Restore factory settings menu option, but it does not reset the dictionary and remove the extra words/punctuations.

Quite unpleasing for other regions, but still not possible unless Nokia release an English definition pack for it.
Why not get a mobile java dictionary instead? There are many of those, just google it.
