English Language Pack

Hello, I have HP Pavilion bought
with Windows 8 Japanese OS version. I had the OS switched to English.  Yesterday I installed Windows 8.1, I can see that the english language pack is still there in the system but it shows unavailable.  I'm unable to switch the OS back to English
or read anything as I do not know japanese.
I tried to install another english
language display of English (IN) but it's just not working. So for example, if I open my control panel, everything is in Japanese, whereas before the 8.1 update, I was able to view everything in English.
Also note that above 8.1 MUI file
already download but It semis like folder. I can not install it..
Could anyone suggest what I should
do to switch to english?
Regards.

  • CS4 extended-Installation-English Language Pack error

i just upgraded from photoshop CS3 to CS4. The installation went fine, except a the end, an error message was in the additional info box, saying:
Adobe Photoshop CS4 English Language Pack
    Error:
    Error 2.
    LangPack (English) for DeviceCentral
    Error:
I tried running pshop and i got a message "miising components" and it wouldnt start. Tech support in India told me to uninstall CS3 and CS4, stop all startup items in msconfig, reboot and reinstall.
I got the same message. Tech support said they'd get back to me Monday, since there was no "official" tech support on the weekends. BTW, i was on with them for 4 hours.
Anyone have any suggestions. I noticed that even though i uninstalled pshop, bridge CS3 is still functioning.
    Thanks

    Problem Solved:
I finally spoke to a US tech guy.
He acknowledged I had tried all the simple and radical fixes, so he suggested I upgrade to XP service pack 3 and also to download the CS4 extended again. I did both.
I used Beyond Compare to do a CRC comparison between the old and new Software which found no differences.
I restored my Ghost backup of C: from just before I had removed all the adobe programs, so the PC was back to the original setup before I had the installation problems.
Then I installed SP3, which went well and ghosted the PC again.
Then, just to increase the odds of a successful installation, I did an alt-ctrl-del and went to the processes tab and killed anything which seemed unnecessary (things I recognized, like anti-virus, Norton, update managers, etc).
Finally, I installed from the new download of CS4 extended.
    It worked!!!!!!!
Hope this helps anyone with similar problems.

  • Need an English language pack

    Hello all,
I'm in definite need of an English language pack for Adobe Illustrator CC.
Adobe doesn't respond to my messages, and I'm unable to call since I'm on a far away military base in Afghanistan. I even have to pay for internet.
All I need is the language pack, so I can swap it. It worked with Photoshop too.
If anyone can help, please email me: dutchmanphotos at yahoo dot com
    Thanks in advance!

To choose a language, go to the CC.app (it should be visible on the Mac on right upper corner, on Windows down on the right)
Click on the gear symbol and choose preferences, there you can choose the language of your app.
You can install several language version on your computer. If you have several languages installed the language version of your operating system will launch. Only Photoshop, Bridge and Acrobat let you choose a different language from your OS. But there are several apps which can force a program to a different available language.

  • Adobe Photoshop CS4 English Language Pack Error: Error 2.

I've read another post indicating this error upon install of CS4. Many of the factors described do not fit my scenario, so I thought I'd post this again.
Basically, I have Win XP SP3 all updates applied. Minimal services running. No software firewall. Everything installed just fine from Production Premium CS4 EXCEPT Photoshop. Error shown in subject line of this post is issued by installer.
Photoshop won't boot stating it is missing files from it's folder.
    Wazzup?

OK. This error drove me nuts and I have seen a thousand different "solutions" posted on various forums (none of which actually worked), but I think I found the magic bullet for this problem. This appears to be a result of corrupted/missing language pack files. Here's what I did to resolve it once and for all!
You should already have a folder somewhere with the contents/Setup.exe for CS4 Design Premium
Download the trial version of Adobe Photoshop CS4 Extended
Unpack the contents to a folder/directory somewhere on your PC
You will NOT be installing the Photoshop CS4 Extended application - only copying some files.
Copy the "extensions" folder from Photoshop CS4 Extended, that you just downloaded to your CS4 Design Premium folder (there should be an "extensions" folder already there as well)
Select yes if prompted to replace existing files/folders.
Double-click the Setup.exe in your CS4 Design Premium directory and re-start the installation of Photoshop from there.
    Problem should be solved.

  • How to install/download an english language pack

    Hi there
I've just bought Adobe CS6 for my study and didnt notice it was the Dutch version.
I was wondering where I could download an english version because all of the workshops I get on school are in english.
    Thnx,
    S. Dubbeld

    Hi,
If you install the english version it will not accept your serial,I advise you to call adobe and ask for swap language ,Its a free procedure, you'll need to pay 10 Euro to receive a dvd install for english but you can install the english trial because they will cancel your serial and give you an english one instantly .

    Hello All,
When I select UAE from the regional setting of SharePoint, the currency symbol appears in Arabic.
I would like to display the currency symbol as AED.
Is this possible/ is there any update for the same.
    Thanks,

HI Alex,If the LP by default consists of Arabic then it should only show in that symbol.

  • Are there language packs for Flash? I have Swedish installed, need English.

There were no English language option when installing and I've searched everywhere and can't seem to find an English language pack for CS6.0

My OS is in English, language, keyboard, everything. It's just the installer I got doesn't come with any other language than Swedish it seems. Got it from the place I study. They seem to have only bought a Swedish version. In my opinion all programs, especially one like this should have language options, but I'm 100% sure there is no way to select language when installing.
Edit, oh wait. The computer (the study computer) is set to Swedish (so the noobs here I work with understand stuff). I wanted to install this program on my own computer and never tried as I couldn't change the language the first time (on the study computer). So, if you are right, on my computer I can get English language. Hope so
Sure, I could change the language on the study computer, install, then back, like you mentioned, but the program is for my own computer so no need to.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Language Pack English

    english language pack
Friend me very urgent english language pack for Adobe Dreamweaver 13.2 CC is required. Waiting for your help in this matter.
Currently Turkish language pack, but I want to use English.

Contact Adobe - there are regionalized versions of Dreamweaver, but no language packs that can add an additional language to your Turkish version. In other words, you must either buy or exchange your version for the English version. I think!

  • Windows 7 Production Premium CS4 language pack installation error + solution

Ok. Long story short...(For solution scroll all the way down)
Tried to install ubuntu next to my windows vista. Next day I found myself wondering in store searching for windows 7 because Ubuntu install ruined something somewhere inside my computer and neither one of my OS were not starting at all...
Ok. So I purchased Windows 7 with smile in my face and happiness in my soul! Now it´s clean installed and working and I have to say it is much better than Vista was...
Already installed 3d max 2009 and couple of other old programs and works like charm and softwares are starting fast!
    ...BUT
Today I tried to install my wonderful CS4 Production Premium package to this computer. All went well all the way to the end report where it said something like "installation error" and then there was few products or files on the list which it was unable to install...(I can post the exact list tomorrow when I try to uninstall and then again install suite the fourth or fifth time in a row.) After error report I was really worried. First I tried to start Photoshop and all I got was error report "some of the application components are missing from the application directory. Please re-install the application." Then I tried Illustrator and the message was "the localized resource files for this application could not be loaded. Please re-install...blah blah..." When I try to open Onlocation I get windows error "Adobe Onlocation has stopped working." Bridge and Media Encoder are working! But when tried to start After Effects, Premiere and Soundbooth it just opened the serial key window. When I write the serial from my dvd-box backlabel it gives me the nice big red X and says that my serial is not valid. But my serial was really valid just a while ago when I started to install these softwares! Oh please NO!
    Ok. So...Questions shortly:
How to get my Production Premium installation work in Windows 7 and get back to work?
How to de-activate my softwares after computer breakdown or user stupidity leading to computer breakdown so I can use my softwares again?
    EDIT:
Well...This is what I got from the error report:
Adobe After Effects CS4 LangPack (en_GB)
    Error:

    Error 2.
Tried installing different language but it still won´t work...
Can´t install it in safe mode and installing trough troubleshooters different windows versions won´t work either...
    Any ideas anyone?
    EDIT:
Tried creating .nrg dvd-images with Nero and installing from harddrive instead of dvd-discs but still no luck. So problem is not in my dvd-drive or discs...
    EDIT:
    SOLUTION...
Adobe support answered to my question. I was missing a DOCUMENTS folder from my USERS - PUBLIC path and after I created that and un-installed & installed my production premium package, everything worked like it should! You might encounter to this same problem also if your USERS - PUBLIC - DOCUMENTS folder has some security settings on... Just right click the folder, choose security and check full control in permissions and remember to sign in as administrator when you install any software...
    Hope this tip is helpful!
    Now...Back to work!

    WOH, just what I needed.
My problem was, that I have moved my documents to another partition, but the public parts I unfortunaly don't had thinked about. . This was 'the solution'! Thank you J_Suhonen!

  • I cannot use my Japanese language pack in windows 8.1

After upgrading to 8.1, my system restored back to english and now unable to set Japanese as windows display language. What should I do? Thanks

After upgrading to 8.1, my system restored back to english and now unable to set Japanese as windows display language. What should I do? Thanks
    I had a similar problem:
Original Windows 8 was in Portuguese, but I'd installed a English (US) Language Pack and used Windows most of time with English set as display language.
After updating to 8.1, I couldn't download the English Language Pack.
Windows displayed a message to connect to internet in order to downlad the language pack, eventhough the computer was already connected.
The solution that worked for me was going to advanced language settings (Run dialog -> "::{26EE0668-A00A-44D7-9371-BEB064C98683}\0\::{BF782CC9-5A52-4A17-806C-2A894FFEEAC5}\CommonLangSettings") and choose "Use language list (recommended)" in "Override
    for Windows display language"
After that, the language pack could be downloaded normally from English's Language Options

Hello Keith and thank you for your answer!
Well i downloaded the image from VLSC and in the download section it says "English/MultiLanguage". When i install the image manually on a virtual machine a number of languages is available. Please see to following image:
    http://i.imgur.com/iV8moZt.png
I did not add a language pack manually since i can't find any available download for this.. English (en-us) is standard if I have understood everything right so there is no english packade that i can download..

  • Cisco IP Communicator won't install language pack

We recently pushed Cisco IP Communicator 8.6.2.0 to a laptop with Windows 7 64-bit, SP 1.
When trying to open the client, the German language pack starts installing, then before it completes, the user receives an error stating that the German language pack cannot be installed:
I have seen issues where language packs take a long time to install, or where any language pack other than English will not install properly if English is not installed first, whether on wired or wireless. I had the user close the client, then I changed the language to English, and had him open the client again. He then received the same error, this time stating that the English language pack could not be installed:
I have not seen this issue before. We uninstalled Cisco IP Communicator, reinstalled it, changed the language multiple times, restarted the computer, and tried on both wired and wireless.
Also, if the user clicks OK, the error goes away and he says that IP Communicator works properly after that (if it's the English language pack...German will not install at all). However, he does not want to receive this error everytime he logs in.

You can try creating a problem report and take a look through those logs to see if anything hints at the problem.  Might need to open a TAC case as it may be a bug.

  • Language Pack not usable message in Windows 8.1

Hello, I have Asus X202E Vivobook bought with Windows 8 Japanese OS version. I had the OS switched to English.  Yesterday
I installed Windows 8.1, I can see that the english language pack is still there in the system but it shows unavailable.  I'm unable to switch the OS back to English or read anything as I do not know japanese.
I tried to install another english language display of English (UK) but it's just not working. So for example, if I open
my control panel, everything is in Japanese, whereas before the 8.1 update, I was able to view everything in English.
Could anyone suggest what I should do to switch to english?
    Regards.

    Hi,
I've done it. Since I know little about computers and even less the expressions used. I will try to explain step by step.
As I said in previous message, I couldn't do anything with EN (GB) language pack. At that point I had on the English language options - windows display language written something much longer than I saw on some guy's video on youtube
(showing just Japanese to English display language settings). I also had in previous response mentioned situation:
In  advanced settings in language settings I set English as override
for windows display language, even though there was unavailable (使用不可) written
in the brackets. When I noticed, on another blog (with screen shots etc.), that the selection in the same settings
bar was: use language list (recommended).
I choose this  one on my computer (I know a bit Chinese, and since the characters are
the same at least I could read the names of the countries, and chosen the one witch didn't mean a country and had sth written in the brackets). At
that time I again had in English language options - windows display language option to download and install it.
Which I did, and I got almost everything in English right away (without even restarting or signing out/in). Now when I go to English language options
    - windows display language there is written: available.
Today (with English back) I set also the welcome screen and some other details, but there is one survival left and it's Language (言語)
title in the Control Panels Date, Language and Region. And he can stay :D
Even though I didn't get answer directly on the page, I've got it indirectly through writing posts and articulating the problem. So thank you and I hope that above explanation can
    help somebody else too.
