English to Japanese

I have a small home base business and a Japanese business man has made contact with me, wanting to purchase some of my goods.  We have been communicating via email, but there have been problems on both side.  I know no Japanese and he knows very little English. Is there a program or app that with translate English to Japanese and back again using email?

One solution is to copy/paste into Google translate:

  • Different language log-ins?  English and Japanese

    Can I set up a log-in account for me in English and another log-in account for my wife in Japanese language?

      The ability to change the OS language from English to Japanese and back determines if I will buy one or two computers for the house.
    In OS X you can choose whatever interface language you want (among the 30 provided by Apple) for each account independently, so one computer will be sufficient for what you want to do.
    You happen to have posted in a forum dedicated to OS versions from the 1990's, which did not have that feature.

  • How do i get my itunes music store to appear in English, not Japanese

    The music store part of itunes is in Japanese, the rest of itunes is in English. I have tried everything I can think of to get it into English. Help please!

    Zevoneer's idea is good, if it doesn't work, try rebuilding your itunes preferences file...this has worked for some folks.
    The steps below assume you know what your iTunes > Edit Preferences settings are.
    Stop the iTunes program and go have a look in Win Explorer
    C:\Documents and Settings\{username}\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iTunes.pref
    Rename that file to iTunes.pref.old.
    That way you can get your old prefs back, if you want.
    Now try to start iTunes again, and it will ask some questions as it tries to rebuild the preferences file.
    Just hit Next and Cancel, don't really answer those questions in other words.

  • English to Japanese Language Translation

    Hi experts,
    Does anyone know if it is possible in 2007 A to translate English to other 2007 B languages such as Japanese, Chinese or Korean?  Example: printer in US = プリンター in Japanese... when I try to enter the Japanese text in B1, all I get is boxes appearing.
    Also - if I go to Administration -> Setup -> General -> Languages I do not have these options show up in "related system languages".
    If not possible are there any other solutions?
    Thanks for your help,
    Aaron

    Hi Aaron ,
    So far I have information, japanese language will be added  in 2008 version ,So you donot have that .
    in 2007A .
    If you are talking about setup language support :
    Administration -->System Initialisation >Company detail->Basic Initialisation --->Click on multilanguage support .
    Open the window from which you would like to translate field values. For example, Item Master Data.
    Choose from the menu bar  View  Translatable Fields  to display the icon next to fields that can be translated.
    Place the cursor in the required field and choose from the menu bar  Goto  Translate .
    The Translations window appears.
    Hope this anwers your question .

  • English+Chinese+Japanese in 1 letter, text encoding

    Hi I got a weird question here.
    I have a letter including 3 languages (English, Chinese and Japanese).
    I usually use "Big 5" for the Chinese letter, but now I got Japanese in it, it wouldn't work because it said that the Japanese cannot be encoded through "big 5"
    I have tried changing it into pure text format (txt.) but when I go to my hotmail inbox, the Japanese and Chinese turned into symbols.
    I can't send it through hotmail because I got some attachments that has to go through mail in order to show properly.
    is there a way to send a letter with 3 languages in it and appears properly? thanks
    *I'm sending this mail to mostly windows users

    it and appears properly?

    Yes, use UTF-8 for the encoding in Message > TextEncoding. Mail should in fact do this automatically for such a text. If the recipients are using any modern mail client it should be displayed correctly.
    Hotmail and other webmail systems are pretty much garbage for non-Latin scripts and if the people at the other end are using it they may need to switch their browser manually to UTF-8, and there is no telling if that will work either. You could also try using webmail yourself with FireFox rather than Safari as the browser.

  • Differentiate a field between English and Japanese row

    Hi:
    We have a database which is Multi-Byte Enable. We are using same field (First Name) to store Japanese and English data. I need to extract two list English and Multi-Byte.
    I like to know how to identify single and mulit-byte row.
    Thanks
    Tarique

    If you had no Hankaku-Katakana in JA16SJIS character set
    or if your database was created with JA16EUC or unicode,
    you might be able to write more simple.
    Single byte only
    where lengthb(your_column) = length(your_column)
    Including multi-bytes
    where lengthb(your_column) > length(your_column)
    Hankaku-Katakana are
    8bits 1 byte charcters in JA16SJIS character set,
    8bits 2 bytes charcters in JA16EUC character set and
    8bits 3 bytes charcters in UTF8 character set.

  • Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Collection English on Japanese version

    I am planning to buy Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Collection Student/Teachers Edition off Amazon Japan.
    I am currently a Malaysian student studying in a college in Japan and I have tried purchasing the product off Amazon USA etc but it does not ship outside it's respective territories. And I am unable to locate a place that sells this in Malaysia so I am left with no other option than to purchase this from Amazon Japan. However, I am a bit concerned as to whether English installation and manuals are available within it. Or if I am at least able to change my language options through other means?
    I would very much prefer to use the product in English :S

    Thank you to Mylenium, very much appreciated, one small clarification I guess I would need to input the standalone serial numbers for each app in the collection (as indicated in your reply) as there is no way to serialise the whole Master Collection in one go - or is there?

  • RoboHelp X3 Japanese with English UI - where to obtain

    I need to buy a version of RoboHelp X3 Japanese with English
    User Interface. I used to own this product, but we traded it on a
    Simplified Chinese version maybe around 2003 when the company was
    eHelp. Currently, Adobe no longer sells or supports the Asian
    editions. XLSoft sells RoboHelp X3 Japanese with a Japanese user
    interface, but I really need the English UI. Does anyone know of a
    source for RoboHelp X3 Japanese with English User Interface?

    Have you checked
    this link?
    I've no idea if is the English or Japanese interface they are
    selling as I have fallen asleep the afternoon they taught us
    Japanese at school.

  • Japanese menus to English ones?

    Help.  I want to change the menus so that they display in English, not Japanese.  Is there a way to do this?
    Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro ver 9.2.0 is installed on my PC, but all the menus are in Japanese.  Some help as to where this setting is located would be much appreciated - I have some ability to read the Japanese, but it can be challenging to find the right menu and settings.

    Ctrl+K will open preferences. One of them is for setting language, not sure what you will see, but there is a pulldown for language.

  • English definitions of Japanese words in iPhone email

    I sometimes receive email messages written in Japanese (even though my native langauge is American English and that is the language to which I set my iPhone).  I read some Japanese, but need to look up many of the words in these email messages.  It used to be the case that if I selected a Japanese word in an email message and then chose the "define" option the built in dictionary would show me the definition in both English and Japanese.  After upgrading to iOS 6 that functionality was reduced and "define" now only shows the definition in Japanese.  Often that definition has other words I don't know, and as a result it's not helpful in ultimately understanding the word I'm looking up.  How can I change this feature back to the way it was in earlier versions of iOS so that choosing "define" for a Japanese word in an iPhone email message provides the definition in both English and Japanese?

    I think it is gone.  Tell Apple what you want via

  • HT2242 Japanese account in english

    I have a japanese account because I live in Japan, but suddenly my account change from english to japanese, even if it says the store has a support in english, how I change it back?

    Hi,
    Yes, once the rubi is set upon a character you can re-open in the
    English version to do some basic editing but you can't do anything to
    the rubi as you just can't get to it. Fortunately it's stuck on the
    character so it moves with it if you need to reformat.
    We tend to stay in the Japanese version and only re-open in the
    English if there's some error or problem in Japanese we can't
    understand. It's just a pain to have to do it this way. If the
    Japanese version had an English menu option that would be great.
    I think there's now a Chinese version of InDesign but we can't afford
    to buy new - bet you can't crossgrade. In fact we couldn't even buy
    the Japanese version here in Australia - Adobe wouldn't sell it and we
    couldn't buy it from Japan as Adobe there wouldn't export it,
    fortunately we have a friend in Japan who bought it for us. This is
    really quite ridiculous.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Japanese and English across whole site

    Hello, I wish to be able to use English and Japanese on pages in my site.  Is there a way to add code such that this is possible universally throughout my site?

    No, CSS is for styling only. You will need a serverside script to change the language, have a look here http://ncca.com.au/new/ and click the Australian and Dutch flags for the two languages.
    In the above example, I have used WebAssist's Framework Builder as per http://www.webassist.com/dreamweaver-extensions/framework-builder/, but you can achieve a similar result by using conditional statements together with session variables..
    For instance if you have an About page, this would look like (using PHP)
    <?php
    session_id('lang');
    session_start();
    $_SESSION['lang'] = 'en';    //set language variable change to nl to see the difference
    ?>
    <!doctype html>
    <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <title>About us</title>
    </head>
    <body>
    <?php if ($_SESSION['lang'] == 'en') { ?>
