How can I use Photoshop CS6 to enhance photos so they will look clearer?

Enhance photo is pixelating photo

The enhance photo feature in the default photo app worked like once. Now when I use it, the saved photo looks like one of those mural images made from thousands of smaller photos. What's going on, why will it show me the enhanced photo but save a different distorted image?

I can provide an example. I had to sync the photo, enhance it, then email it back to myself to get it off my iPad, but this is what the enhance feature is doing. Before:

Photo Stream not uploading enhanced photos

I don't know if any of you have experienced this but all the photos on Photo Stream that are downloaded onto my computer are those that have yet to be auto-enhanced. Those auto-enhanced photos look superb on the iPhone 4S but strangely only the unenhanced versions are synced to iCloud. Any ideas why? To add on, this is not just happening to Photo Stream, but all other apps such as Facebook cannot access the edited versions as well. Is this a bug or is it intentional?

After editing, photos now look blurry

The photos out of my digital SLR camera were really crisp right after upload to iPhoto; but after straightening and using the editing tools while in full screen mode, the photos now look a little blurry. Any ideas?

I've noticed the same problem.
But clearly this blur does not affect the picture files as they are saved on your disk. It's probably just a question of optimized display when looking at pictures in iPhoto.
Take a crisp image, import it into iPhoto. Now simply crop it a bit (you don't even need to rotate it !). When looking at it in full screen, it will now look much softer than the original one, you can check this by pressing the shift key. But now press "1" to see it at 100% : your image is not blurred, it's just badly displayed !
Same problem when simply opening an image in Preview.app -- since leopard there are some fancy zoom animations, but images look indeed very soft at everything but 100%
Hope they will fix this soon, It's frustrating to look at softened images from a marvelous camera ...

my iphone 4 pictures have ALWAYS been sharp and crystal clear, recently they are extremely grainy and blury. I do not have anything blocking the camera lens and have even cleaned any smudges but I am experiencing the same thing. Keyboard shortcuts: to enhance photo, to add rating

In aperture I was able to create a keyboard shortcut to enhance photos. This became indispensable. Has anyone figured out a way to do this without clicking 4 times in different parts of screen?
Also I am really really annoyed to have to have the keyword window open in order to rate my photos. I'd like to be able to add ratings without that ugly window on top of everything. (I'm sorry but a heart isn't an effective way to manage what photos are trash, meh, good, great and very special)

PDF viewer - PREVIEW - in lion is worse / blurry when looking at my old pdfs that looked clear in SL

The preview is an application that has to be "all times ready to use"
However, any time you close a preview, the application closes down. And, each new preview (re-)starts the application. This is extremely time consuming.
Also, I don't understand why the "save as" feature has disapeared.

Photos on my ipad mini have a 'photo negative' look

have recently purchased a mini ipad. somehow in the process of installing various software, the photos uploaded and newly taken all have a ''photo negative' look. how do we restore the photos to their normal state?

Photos not as clear as in preview.

I'm making a photo movie. When I watch the photos with Ken Burns effect added, the photos are very clear while previewing, but after I hit update, the photo is blurry in the actual movie.
Anybody else experience this?

You're correct: the preview appears to be much sharper, less pixelate, etc.
Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but as I recall the 'playback' in what you are calling the 'actual movie', isn't really the actual movie you'll get when you Share (export.) It's a it's a sort of preview itself.
Try this: select one of two of the photos in the timeline, choose Share, then Quicktime. This will give you a lot of options, each of which impact the quality (and the file size) of the output. You'll have to experiement to find a setting which is satisfactory to you.
Alternatively, if the 'photo movie' is in effect a slide show, with movement added via Ken Burns, you might find that you're more satisfied doing the project in iPhoto. You won't have quite the control you have in iMovie, but you can add transitions/movement via the KB effect, and even a sound track -- albeit a single tune.

Photo's look horrible

My photo's look great on my MBP but when displayed through AppleTV on a Sony 36" XBR TV, they look horrible. Washed out, underexposed and a the color has shifted. What's going on?

But what format are they in. Where did the photos come from.
Does the same happen when you view the same photos on the tv through the photo tab in itunes.

Possible to Adjust Enhance Photo?

Mahalo for the reply, I have Elements, as well as CS2, however I want to be able to adjust the enhance photo in iPhoto for quick fixes when needed. The enhance over does everything, so it's function isn't very usable in a pinch.

Does my Youtube upload look clear to you?

Okay this is screwed up..
I'll make it short!
My PC uses an external monitor, on the PC I chroma key'd my videos shot on a green screen earlier - I played a video to see how it looked.
RESULTS on PC - The footage looks perfect in windows media player but awful on Youtube/Vimeo.
Results on laptop - Footage looks perfect in BOTH windows media player and Youtube.
Youtube is clearly compressing my uploads to look like DIRT on certain monitors. SEE COMPARISON in this image. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/a/img539/623/ffcb2d.png
Yet I am exporting and playing h.264 20mbp bit rate 720p Progressive on Youtube.
Would be very interested in knowing how it looks to the comminuty here on your devices/monitors in 720 HD on SMALL screen (Youtube 1080 + bigger screen isn't AS bad).
