Enhance standard 2LIS_17 extractors in an operative SAP R/3

Question

Hi experts,
I need your help in a special activity that I need to do, I'm going to enhance the 2LIS_17_I3HDR to include some standard fields through LBWE transaction, the complication that I see in my future is activate the delta extraction, because the source system is operative and the plants works 7x24, what you recommend us to do this activity in the better way, preventing that some orders don't get lose in the extraction. 
How can I proceed to do this and have low impact?.

Hi ,
first let us know how want data for added fields?
want historic data or not?
One more thing in case LO.
User lock is mandatory.
if we do the transports without lock then next delta pointer will be corrupted due to extract structure changes. so you may loose those records which are created/changed in time gap.
Better to have user lock on ecc system/related t codes.
later to do the transports and follow other steps as per need
Situation: if you need historic data
1. you need user lock as per you source data volume.
at bw side need to delete whole data and reload.
so here, you need to delete setup tables data and fill whole data.
run full load with init.
later you can do unlock and continue with delta loads.
situation: don't need historic data then
need user lock at minimum time.
clear all delta queues from ecc and move to bw.
later you can do you can transport changes to ecc prod and bw prod.
later you can do unlock and continue delta loads.
