Enhanced Boss Secretary features information

As stated in Selling Cisco Unified Communications Express "http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/products/sw/voicesw/ps4625/prod_brochure0900aecd804790c1.html", Cisco Unified CallManager Express supports Boss Secretary features and Cisco Unified CallManager supports Enhanced Boss Secretary features, does anyone have information regarding on what's enhancement included in Enhanced Boss Secretary features?

Hi Wah-Hung,
For CME the big Boss/secretary features would be;
Monitor-Line Button Speed Dial
For Cisco CME 3.2 and later versions, a monitor-line button can be used to speed-dial the monitor line's number. A monitor line is a line that is shared by two people. Only one person can make and receive calls on the shared line at a time, while the other person, whose line is in monitor mode, is able to see that the line is in use. Speed dialing is available when monitor lines' lamps are off, indicating that the line is not in use. For example, an assistant who wants to talk with a manager can press an unlit monitor-line button to speed-dial the manager's number.
A monitor-line lamp can be off or unlit only when its line is in the idle call state. The idle state occurs before a call is made and after a call has been completed. For all other call states, the monitor line lamp is on or lit.

Intercom
Cisco CME supports intercom functionality for one-way and press-to-answer voice connections using a dedicated pair of intercom ephone-dns on two phones that speed-dial each other.
When an intercom speed-dial button is pressed, a call is speed-dialed to the ephone-dn that is the other half of the dedicated pair. The called ephone-dn automatically answers the call in speakerphone mode with mute activated, which provides a one-way voice path from the initiator to the recipient. A beep is sounded when the call is auto-answered to alert the recipient to the incoming call. To respond to the intercom call and open a two-way voice path, the recipient deactivates the mute function by taking one of the following actions:
On a multibutton phone, pressing the Mute button.
On a Cisco IP Phone 7910, lifting the handset.
In Cisco 3.2.2 and later releases, the no-mute keyword can be used with the intercom command to deactivate the speaker-mute function on inercom calls. For example, if phone user 1 makes an intercom call to phone user 2, both users hear each other upon connection when no-mute has been configured. The benefit is that people who receive intercom calls can be heard without having to disable the mute function. The disadvantage is that people who receive intercom calls will have their conversations and nearby background sounds heard the moment an intercom call to them is connected, regardless of whether they are ready to take a call or not.
Intercom lines cannot be used in shared-line configurations. If an ephone-dn is configured for intercom operation, it must be associated with one IP phone only. The intercom attribute causes an IP phone line (ephone-dn) to operate as an autodial line for outbound calls and as an autoanswer-with-mute line for inbound calls.

  • Enhancement and new features available in AFS 6.0 in reference to AFS 5.0?

    Hi Experts,
Please can you explain what are the Enhancement and new features available in AFS 6.0 in reference to AFS 5.0

    Hi Mithun,
Following are the details you needed.
Enhancement and new features available in AFS 6.0 wrt AFS 5.0
    AFS Interface
AFS GTS Master Data Integration - IS-AFS-INT-GTS (New)
As of SAP AFS 6.0, you can integrate the SAP Global Trade Services 7.1 (SAP GTS 7.1) master data to the AFS data.
    AFS Retail Integration (Change)
As of SAP AFS 6.0, the integration of Apparel and Footwear Solution (AFS) with Retail has been
    Enhanced by the following functions:
u2022     One SAP Retail Logical system is mapped to multiple Customers in SAP AFS system, which ensures that each Customer can be mapped to a different purchase organization.
u2022     You can maintain the retail merchandise category in the AFS material master for each retail logical system.
u2022     The variant numbers created in the retail for the article (material in AFS) have the number with the category and grid combination. A new BADI method is used to allow the user to change the variant numbering as required.
u2022     The material type of the generic article created is the same as the AFS material. A new BADI method is used to set the material type of the article as required.
    Quality Management (IS-AFS-QM)
Enabling QM for Goods Receipt (GR) Process for AFS (New)
As of SAP AFS 6.0, you can activate the inspection type at material level and control the inspection lot creation at stock keeping unit (SKU) level during the goods receipt process.
Additionally, during posting of quality inspection stocks, you can directly post stock of one SKU to unrestricted stock of another SKU.
    Basic Data (IS-AFS-BD)
Commodity Codes at the SKU Level (New)
As of SAP AFS 6.0, you can maintain commodity codes at the SKU level in the material master. A new relevancy Global Trade Services (GTS) is allotted to the characteristics attached to the grid and categories. If this new relevancy is set then the commodity codes can be assigned at the SKU level. You can also assign commodity codes of different countries other than the country in which the plant is located.
The AFS material master IDoc and BAPI have been enhanced to handle commodity codes at the SKU level.
    Material Master Enhancements (New)
As of SAP AFS 6.0, the following enhancements have been made in the material master:
u2022     You can maintain commodity codes at the stock keeping unit (SKU) level.
u2022     You can maintain the retail data merchandise category and characteristic profile at the material master level. This is used to create article in retail.
u2022     You can maintain quality management (QM) inspection type at SKU level.
u2022     You can enable Seasons for inventory management (IM).
    Materials Management (IS-AFS-MM)
    Seasonality Roundoff - Inventory Management-(New)
As of SAP AFS 6.0, season functionality is extended to Inventory Management (IM). This enables you to gain an overview of material movements during each season. You can maintain stocks for different seasons separately. To enable this functionality, you have to activate the Season Active in IM indicator for a material in the material master. This indicator can be set only for materials created in AFS 6.0. If the season is maintained for an SKU in the material master, you can obtain season information for the SKUs in batches, in material movement documents and in stock tables.
Also, as of AFS 6.0, you cannot set the Season Fixed indicator for new materials. However, for old materials (materials created in AFS 5.0 with Season Fixed indicator) the behavior remains the same.
Stock Selection Available in Transaction MIGO (New)
As of SAP AFS 6.0, the goods movement transaction MIGO has been enhanced with Stock Selection for AFS materials. Goods movement here implies only goods issued/transfer postings without document reference.

  • All plugins uptodate but on upload file get "USING one of the supported browser with latest Adobe Flash is required to experience enhanced file upload features

I am freelancer. When I tried to upload files on elance it give following error and disable the upload button:using one of the supported browser with latest Adobe flash is required to experience enhanced file upload features.
All plugins are up to date. Flash version 11.7 installed.

I assume Firefox 19 worked fine on the site?
Some sites may be mistakenly identifying Firefox 20 as Firefox 2, which is a very old version they probably no longer support. As a test, you could "lie" to the site about your Firefox version and see whether that little deception works.
This take a minute to set up. Here's how:
    (1) Select and copy the following preference name to the clipboard:
    general.useragent.override.elance''.''com
    (2) In a new tab or window, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
    (3) In the filter box, type '''override''' and pause while the list is filtered
    (4) Make sure '''general.useragent.site_specific_overrides''' is set to its default value of true (or right-click and choose Reset if it is not).
    (5) Right-click anywhere in the preference list area and choose
    New > String
then paste the preference name you copied. Click OK and enter TEMP or asdf or any text as a temporary placeholder. You should see the preference added in bold. Leave about:config open and switch back to this tab.
    (6) Select and copy the following useragent string to the clipboard ''(it's all one line)'':
    Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:19.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/19.0
    (That's Firefox 19 on Windows 7 32-bit)
    (7) In about:config, double-click '''general.useragent.override.elance''.''com''' and paste to replace the temporary text with the new useragent string. Click OK, you're done here.
Now try reloading a page where you need to upload (use Ctrl+Shift+r) and test that function again. Any change?

  • Have the developers considered randomizing the numbers for the passcode?  It is easy to watch the pattern when someone enters their passcode.  However, if the numbers appeared is a random order each time, it would enhance the security feature even more.

Have the developers considered randomizing the numbers for the passcode?  It is easy to watch the pattern when someone enters their passcode.  However, if the numbers appeared is a random order each time, it would enhance the security feature even more.  Personally, I would prefer this option with security in mind.

He slightly beat you Meg, and I'm in the same boat with you. If I used a passcode I believe I would go with the feature to use a longer alphanumeric passcode rather than a 4 digit number even with the random code entry.
And of course if Apple did put this feature in they need to make it an option or we'll see lots of posts wanting to know how to get rid of it.

  • Looking for a "buzz the secretary" feature

I have a customer (law firm) who, on their existing PBX, can contact the secretary w/o exiting a call (e.g. buzz the sec to retrieve a fax while client is on the line. Anyone seen a feature/software/solution that would do this.

Yup, this is the way I did it with the Executives and Admins... it's kind of pain in Callmanager, but it works fine. Extra PT's, extra CSS, assign the non dialable numbers to the lines, etc. If you follow the PLAR guide it

  • Query regarding Manager & secretary feature.

    My requiremnet is given below,
Secretary should be able to pick up managers phone and also if the manager doesn’t answer the call in 3 rings it should be forwared to secretaries extension.
We dont want to user IMPA feature.
    Thanks

Sunil, I can think of following options if you dont want IPMA..
    1. Configure a shared line ( with privacy feature ) among Manager & Sec's phone line. If mgr doesnt pickup, sec will.
    2. Use Call Pickup feature by adding these 2 phones in one pickup group. But here the sec shd be able to see/hear the mgr's phone ringing, so that she picks it up if mgr is away from desk etc.
    3. Mgr's phone can be fwded to sec's phone using CFNA setting equivalent to 3 ring duration. So that if mgr doesnt answer call for 3 rings, call gets diverted to sec's phone.
Please refere CUCM Feature & Services guide for these.

  • How to file RFE (request for enhancement) for iPhone features?

I have some ideas for configurability options, and want to see how I can file RFE's or see what's been filed, so I don't duplicate someone else's....

    http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
The last think you should worry about is duplicating someone else's request. The more people request the same thing, the more priority it will likely get.

  • Re : Third-Party Order Processing for Subcontracting ( Enhancement Pack 5)

    Hi,
In Third-Party Order Processing for subcontracting - Purchase orders for products that are finished by a subcontractor and sent straight to the end customer. PR created in Sales system are processed further in this scenario where you direct your SC Vendor to send the material to your customer.
Although its a standard third party scenario with sub contracting job involved in it.
There is not much information we have in SAP help. This is ECC6 Enhancement pack 5 feature.
If any one has worked on this, I need a process flow to understand this process.
    Response is apprecited,

  • Here's a thought: Text-Lock for certain contacts (bosses) so that you can't text them without unlocking

Ok, so i've never made this mistake, but I almost have.. My best bud Ron T. is right next to my boss Ron H.. I have never texted or called my boss, however I often text mildly to severely offensive or inappropriate messages to my friend Ron T., and I have caught myself a few times too close to hitting Ron H. (boss).. I also on one occasion did hit his name but realized and reselected the correct contact.. I have almost no reason to text Ron H. (Boss) and I'd love the option to make him unselectable for texting unless i put in a password or something.. I'm sure there would be other applications for this as well.  I'm not sure if this is possible through apps or groups or something yet but it'd be a nice built-in Contacts feature.. I would guess you could group the contacts you DO text or something but I think a better option is blocking rather than hiding..

Submit your feedback directly to Apple using the appropriate link on the Feedback page:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback
In the meantime, change your boss's contact information to Boss Ron H.

  • FEATURE

Explain me about the word Feature  in ABAP-HR?

    Hi,
Features are objects in the system that determine a specific value by querying different enterprise personnel or data structure fields. The value is known as a "return code" or "result". This value is used to determine default values and to control certain system processes. Features enhance system flexibility.
Features can be queried in programs. To make this possible, every feature must be generated. A report is created from the feature in the generation process. Programs that require feature information utilize this report.
The most important uses of features are outlined below:
    Features for determining default values
Features are frequently used to determine default values. These values are proposed by the system when employee master data infotypes are maintained.
Feature ABKRS, for example, provides a default value for the payroll area. This is based on the data found in an employeeu2019s Organizational Assignment infotype. Feature LGMST also illustrates this concept: This feature proposes the valid wage and salary types for an employee, which are taken from the Basic Pay infotype. The feature also refers to the personnel and pay scale structure.
    Features for controlling system processes
Pnnnn features (nnnn is ® infotype number) control the sequence of country-specific screens for displaying and editing master data infotypes. For example, if you set the country grouping as the user group parameter (e.g. UGR=01), the system accesses the country-specific screens.
Features for controlling list displays in evaluations
Feature BUWEB, for example, can be used to group or convert personnel areas or personnel subareas for evaluations. This enables you to change the sort sequence as required.
    Structure
Features are defined by the following five elements, which must be maintained in the order listed when creating a feature:
    Persons Responsible for a Feature
    Country/Component Assignment for a Feature
    Feature Structure
    Decision Tree for a Feature
    Feature Documentation (optional)
This is the basic about feature for more information go to SAP help
    Thanks & Regards

  • I need the drivers of EDR Enhanced for LabVIEW 8.6 or more, please.

Hello, I want to acquire a signal with the microDAQ-Lite of EAGLE Technology and I need the EDR Enhanced LabView Driver. The one I have is for labview 6.x or 7. Currently I am working in Labview 2010 so I am needing the drivers for this version. I have found in a webpage (http://edr-enhanced-for-labview.software.informer.com/8.5/ ) that a version developed by National Instruments for version 8.5 exists, it says it is free, but i cant find it. Does anyone knows if a newer version exist? or where can I find the latest one?? Please help.
    Thanks in advance.
    Alejandra

NI does not develop drivers for third-party DAQ devices. Contact the vendor or use the driver you have. You can load version 6 and 7 into LabVIEW 2010.

Do I need "GPU enhancements" would I notice any difference if I had them.So far everything I need to do is pretty well instantaneos.
    Yours Dave Taylor

    Dear Noel
Further to my question about "GPU Enhancements" as you say it appears to be something usefull to have.
On the Dell website they list my laptop but don't list a later driver .
On the Nvidia website they list  a newer driver but they don't list my laptop and suggest to download from Dell for saftey reasons.
I can see this could turn into another of those PC sagas that require more investment in time than is worth
    it  for the return.

Normally you must go to the manufacturer's web site, as it sounds like you've done, with a laptop.
It's just barely possible you might be able to find a newer display driver on nVidia.com.  It's probably worth checking to see if that could work for your system.
GPU enhancements embody several features that are nice to have.  Here's an overview:
