Enhanced or on-demand clipboard functionality

Where would be the best place to submit a feature request for an enhanced clipboard feature?
I would like an optional transfer of clipboard to local host but not enabled by default. I have users with a workflow that requires frequent copy/paste functionality between remote apps and I would like
to have the default clipboard feature disabled because the user base is frequently on a high latency lower bandwidth connection.
If the clipboard feature is disabled then they can copy and paste between remote app sessions without affecting bandwidth by transferring clipboard to local workstation but occasionally it is necessary to copy
and paste to or from the local workstation. I would like something like a shift-ctrl-c to copy to local clipboard but a regular ctrl-c
would just copy between remote app sessions.
If enable the clipboard then every copy paste function is transferred to local workstation and large text or image transfers are very slow .

Clipboard functionality and Multi Value in an attribute functionalities are not working.
I tried to look into the standard component and could not found relevant piece of code.
Our system is on 7.3 EHP1 SP9 but functionality does not seem to work.
Does anyone know in which EHP of 7.3 NetWeaver these functionalities are delivered.
Any note avalibale compatible with our system level?

Using the Demand Planning functionality in TEM

Good afternoon
I have been trying to use (in our test client) the Demand Planning functionality of TEM, I am wanting to create demand based on last year's bookings however I get no results. I have courses, which are firmly booked with attendees on them in last year. Is there a minimum number of courses and/or attendees required before a demand can be created? What am I missing?

Hi Dawn,
Try this:
Run the demand planning report using either S_AHR_61016220 or PSV2. Choose the event type which you want to create demand for, or if you have used PSV2 that is already defaulted. If the location is mandatory then put that in and run the report for the year 2010 (with all or the specified quarters checked). If you are running this for the first time, then you should get a screen which says No demand exists. Click on the name of the event type such that it is highlighted (where the cursor is on the name of the event type). Click on the Plan button (F5) and then click on the Plan button button again (F5). This should give you the various options of prebookings or bookings from the previous yea. Select the one you want, and it should determine the demand which you will transfer and save.

Clipboard functionality in Select-options in a WD4A application

Currently in the select - options in a normal ABAP program we can paste multiple values from clipboard
Does anyone have an idea on whether this functionality will be extended to WD4A too.
Is there any workaround such that multiple values in a Select-option can be populated with values in the clipboard/spreadsheet

Query on Enhancement Pack Upgrade/ Installation-Business Functions install

I am working on an Enhancement Pack Upgrade. I have the following questions from the Client, can you please help answer u2013
Scenario u2013 Upgrade from ECC 6.0 to ECC 6.0 EhP4
1 Using Business Function Prediction service, assume SAP recommends 10 Business functions to be installed. We install the 10 business functions and after 6 months the client realizes that there are some more functions which will help business.
a.What does it take to install the additional business functions.
b.Do we have to do the entire EhP4 Upgrade again
c.If we have to do the entire EhP4 Upgrade again what happens to the initially installed business functions, will that be overwritten
d.What will be the additional SPDD and SPAU effort to activate the additional business functions, will that be same as the initial SPDD/ SPAU effort.
2 Can we install all the Business functions available in EhP4. What happens if we install all the business functions. What will be the additional effort or overhead in terms of hardware, database, ABAP effortu2026..?

1. For installing additional business functions you need to again run the whole EHPI process. But what I feel is even you install more than 1 business function you will be able to activate only 1 business function per system.
2. The initially installed business functions would not go anywhere. You need to select them in your solman before the stack.xml file generation.
3. SPAU/SPDD effforts depends on your system. So no comments.
4. If you plan to install all business functions then you will need good amount of DB space and your upgrade downtime would be high.

Enhancing the Interface of a Function Module

Per SAP note 352697, I am trying to enhance the interface of module EXIT_SAPLPC32_003 via transaction SE37. I receive a message "Object FUGR XPCA cannot be enhanced; software component unknown cannot be enhanced". Is there a way to enhance this without requesting an access key?

No, and enhancing the interface with the changes form SAP in a Customer enhancement would be a wrong thing to do (I think it would lead to some kind of name clash by support/enhancemant pack implementaion). You have to register and repair R3TR FUGS XPCA to implement the note.

Enhanced Flash Builder Code Generation Functionality

The code generation feature FB 4 currently has is only really useful for quick throwaway prototyping or very simple forms. The generation should allow you to configure formatting via default templates, AND optionally utilize a dialog box (similar to that used in refactoring but with a few extras) so that you can configure the contents of each generated function and provide appropriate function names according to coding best practices. For example:
-User initiates event handler generation
(Optional, if Codegen dialog is enabled)
-User is prompted with a dialog that allows them to customize the generated function name, and possibly specify whether they need an Event parameter passed to the function. (Default to NO event parameter, but this could be a pre-configured user option.)
-FB utilizes the customized code generation format (customizable by the developer) to generate the new function
If you need a "submitForm()" function and you want both a TextInput's enter action and a button's click action to call it, currently you're better off typing it all yourself, because auto-generation is going to put this long-named function that assumes you need 'event' passed to it. An event:MouseEvent parameter just gets in the way when you also want a TextInput's enter event to call that function, for example. Or perhaps we want to provide a more descriptive name to each handler (via dialog) without assigning IDs to each and every component: "datagrid1_changeHandler" or "button1_changeHandler" doesn't tell us what the function actually does. It's a basic coding best practice to name functions or methods after the actions they actually perform, and in a large application with complex forms auto-generated generic sounding function names are essentially useless from a maintainability standpoint.

For anyone interested, I figured it out:
to generate a CFC, you have to right-click a table in the RDS Dataview, then you can generate a CFC. You cannot generate a CFC from an AS class as described in the CF Builder help within Flash Builder.
Adobe: it would be nice if this got fixed – and if someone there replied to posts like this. You do know all this, don‘t you?

How to empty the account assignment clipboard function in SC

Hello,
Everytime a user is creating a SC and wants to edit the Account assignment details, the last used clipboard data is displayed.
Is there a way to empty this clipboard data automatically after a user used it in a SC so as the next time it does not appear again?

The purpose of this is to avoid entry if you are using the same G/L account and cost centre.
You can delete the Clipboard details it will not appear
Is the Login is being used commonly for many users and if one person is using that then the data will appear

Have you heard about the dispatcher functionality in the adapter engine? Maybe is that an option for your functionality requirements.

Some information about the dispatcher:

Web dynpro abap Select-option: upload data from clipboard

No. The button was disabled because the underlying framework support hasn't been delivered yet. We need this feature implemented in the underlying JavaScript engine (which customers/partners shouldn't attempt to change or extend) before Web Dynpro can use it.

BW enhancement -- plz advice

Hi,
While doing the enhancement for BW using standard function module EXIT_SAPLRSAP_001 and INCLUDE ZXRSAU01 is it advisable to use the function module.
I mean if the extra field required by BW is derived using a Function Module then does it hamper performance against pulling it from a table

Hi Sam,
While extracting data from R/3 to BW that is the user-exit which will get triggered when you are extracting master data, that is SAP suggested User exit for enhancing the datasource for master data.
