Enhanced Performance Keyboard - Model 73P2620

I ordered one of these and received today. I love the way it looks and feels.
I am really disappointed that the USB hub on the keyboard is appearing as USB 1.1 and not USB 2.0 as the spec page indicates:

Now, I was willing to concede that perhaps my system wasn't playing nice for some reason, so I went through quite a few things to see if maybe there was an issue with USB on the box.
Nothing I have tried has worked.
Does anyone use this keyboard and have they found the USB hub to appear as USB 2.0 or 1.1?
I have run some benchmarks on a USB 2.0 Flash drive and the performance difference when it's in a USB 2.0 port and a 1.1 port on the keyboard is quite significant, so this isn't just a mis-reporting of the USB standard by the driver.
Help please? I want to keep this keyboard, but the primary reason I bought it, was for the USB 2.0 hub.

I think I see what the issue is now.
The description on the keyboard spec page (posted above), says USB 2.0 Full Speed. This is actually USB 1.1, or at least operates at USB 1.1 speeds.
True USB 2.0 would say Hi Speed.

I don't like the use of USB 2.0 and Full Speed in the same breath. It's misleading. So, I will now contact Lenovo (if they will respond to me), to see if I can just do a straight up return on the keyboard.
James, does your keyboard say 'lenovo' in the upper right, or IBM? Mine says lenovo, and I'm going to guess that the IBM version of this keyboard has USB 2.0 Hi Speed ports on it.

Assigning buttons on Lenovo USB Enhanced Performance Keyboard

I have recently made Mozilla Firefox my default browser (it's much quicker to start up than Explorer), however I would still like the Internet button on my USB Enhanced Performance Keyboard to open Explorer, which my son prefers (it currently opens Firefox). When I try to reconfigure the button I can't find Internet Explorer amongst the choices I am given.
I have reconfigured the Lock desktop button to open Firefox. I am sure I had the keyboard set up to do what I want it to do before I reformatted the hard drive yesterday.

I'm glad to report that I've been using this new driver for a month now with no issues...

What are the key presses like on the Enhanced Performance keyboard?

I've been thinking about buying this keyboard:

I was wondering how the key presses feel? I'm quite particular about it. I like the press to have a definite 'soft click' (like a cross between a microswitch and a diaphragm). A lot of keys these days are like pressing a spring with no tactile response as to when a key press has actually been registered if that makes any sense.
Can anyone with this keyboard describe how the keys are to press? I can't find and videos or any real life examples to test.

if you are looking for tactility in a keyboard, than this keyboard is not the best. Maybe you should get a Filco keyboard instead.
Microsoft and Dell's keyboard (the one with oversized spacebar) are both slightly better than these Lenovo keyboard. Alternatively get the Space Saver II keyboard.

Deploying USB Enhanced Performance [Wired] Keyboard settings

Hi. Is there any way to deploy the settings of the USB Enhanced Performance Keyboard settings so that all computers with the keyboard get the default settigs? Got 500+ computers to deploy.

Hi,
there is no easy solution however this might be worth trying sincle I see it as feasible and maybe you can even use Migration Assistant if you do not have any other tool (I'm not expert on Migration Assistant).
1. Manually export the registry settings from the current user.
2. Change “HKEY_CURRENT_USER” to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE”, in the exported registry file.
3. Remove any reference to “\users\username”.
4. Then, import the you modified registry file to another machine.
SEE ATTACHAED FILE PLS.
Let me know if this is sufficient and it helps.

Keyboard - Enhanced Performance vs Preferred Pro - reliability, tactility, etc.

73P2620 Lenovo Enhanced Performance USB Keyboard - US English 39.00
73P5220 Lenovo Preferred Pro USB Keyboard - US English 29.00
I don't need the extra USB hub capability, so judging from the specs, I would choose the Preferred Pro model. However, can anyone having experience using either of them, chime in and comment on everything else that matters - reliability, tactility and feel, lags, joy of using, etc?

apart from the extra features, the feel and tactility of the two keyboard are the same.
The keyboards are okay, but the feel and tactility is not the industry best, reliability is okay they are quite reliable. I rather prefer the Microsoft keyboards.

I am getting the following error when trying to install the driver came with the keyboard (Windows 7 64-bit enterprise
Error Executing the Specified Program

I have also tried the driver downloaded from Lenovo Support, exact same issue.

Looks like a typo. Try running:

Enhanced Performance Wireless Keyboard

I got recently an Enhanced Performance Wireless Keyboard and Mouse with plan to use it with my new ThinkPad W500. Mouse works without problems.
However the keyboard works properly when Language for non-Unicode programs is set to US English. When language changed to Arabic, keyboard loses characters, freezes for several seconds, etc. I tried it with W500 with Vista Business SP1, T41p with XP SP3, and - more interesting - with Dell Latitude D420 with XP SP3. On all those laptops I got identical results. With keyboard language set to Arabic, the Arabic characters do show when typing in Word or Notepad.
However, when connected to my desktop (DELL Optiplex GX520, XP SP3) the keyboard works correctly with US English and Arabic selected as non-Unicode locale.
Keyboard P/N is 41A5219, S/N 00012663.
Tried other wireless keyboard/mouse set (Genius TwinTouch LuxeMate Pro) - it works OK on T41p language independent.

We purchased 10 ThinkPads with the same keyboard and mouse, the keyboard is a bit slow, but the mouse is absolutely horrible, the choppy motion and falling asleep all the time is killing productivity. Has anyone had any success with the fix for this? need help ASAP.

Ich habe mir letzte Woche bei einem Händler in einem namhaften Onlineauktionhaus eine SK-8815 (Lenovo Enhanced Performance USB, PN: 41A4975) im deutschen Tastaturlayout als originalverpackte Neuware gekauft. Als die Lieferung vorgestern hier ankam, musste ich feststellen, dass es an der Qualität der Tastatur ziemlich hapert: die Tasten zur Steuerung des Musikplayers oben links sitzen extrem lose.Was aber noch viel mehr auffällt, ist die Beschriftung der Tastatur - diese ist ziemlich schief aufgebracht und auch unterschiedlich hell.Ich habe mal versucht zumindest die Positionierung der Aufdrucke mit der Kamera meines Smartphones einzufangen:Am meisten fällt es beim 'Ö' und den anderen Umlauten auf, die horizontal und vertikal ziemlich aus der Reihe fallen. Ich habe auch einmal die Seriennummer der Tastatur hier überprüft:Lenovo - Garantiestatus überprüfenwobei mir gemeldet wurde, dass nichts zu vermelden sei 'Kein Ergebnis - Bitte prüfen und erneut versuchen'. Ist nun einfach nur die Qualität relativ mau oder bin ich möglicherweise einer Produktfälschung aufgesessen? Sofern es ein gefälschtes Produkt ist, ist anerkennenswert, dass es einwandfrei mit der Konfigurationssoftware für das EnhancedPerformance Keyobard von der Lenovo-Homepage zusammenarbeitet.

Where can I get a USB keyboard model MB110LL/A

I have a 2008 24inch iMac (intel) running OSX 10.6.8 and Windows XP on a bootcamp 3.2 partition. I need to obtain a USB keyboard model MB110LL/A. The only keyboards available are MB110LL/B that will only work with Windows 7 and Boot Camp 3.3. That is not an option for me as most of the software I want to use is incompatable with Windows 7. If Apple would come up with a bootcamp update that will work with OSX 10.6.8 and Windows XP and the newer MB110LL/B keyboard, that would solve my problem. Switching to windows 7 or 8 will not solve this problem.

I was given an iMac M6498, wireless keyboard Model A1016 and wireless mouse. The first time I plugged the iMac, the keyboard worked perfectly and the sencond time, it stopped working and it is not recognised. I have changed the batteries and still it's not working.

They should work. You do not say if your problem is with the mouse, the keyboard or both. Is there a green power light showing and is it flickering?

It may require re-pairing. For that, go to Systems Prefs > Bluetooth.

Enhancing performance of system

I am developing a CCP CAN based application. However I am running to performance difficulties (overflow)when only trying to read (multiread) a maximum of 30 frames every 10ms.
I am using queues to buffer the CAN data and processing it on a trigger (occurrence). The processing is quite intensive to decode the data however.
I have taken basic steps to enhance performance such as reducing processes in loops, reduce polling time in loops, etc.
How can I improve further and are there specific Windows settings I should consider to increase processor time for the LabVIEW application.

Some ways around the overflow error are to increase buffer size, decrease scan rate, or get a faster processor. Your buffer size should be 2 - 4 times bigger than your scan rate.

I don't remember what program I installed that caused the trouble but anyway, right now- it is not functioning like the usual. I re-installed the driver from HP support yet nothing has changed. You may have to go back to a known good system restore point.
Right mouse click on my Computer, select properties, then advanced system setting then restore. When you get to the restore window, check the box to show all available restore points and pick a date where your know when your PC worked correctly.
If you are using a Norton AV product then turn off "tamper protection" before you attempt a restore or it will fail.
