Enhanced Podcasts images not appearing in iTunes
I'm using the host site Podbean.com to publish to iTunes. My enhanced podcasts (m4a) files appear on the host site (http://bias.podbean.com) just fine. But when I watch them on the iTunes host page (below) the images do not appear in the podcast while it plays. I have the cover photo but none of the photos in the enhanced podcast. When I originally sent it to iTunes from GarageBand it worked fine, (and still does in my playlist) but the feed available to my students (which is the whole point) doesn't come out right, thoughts?

iTunes does not show the images in enhanced podcasts when you simply play them from the Store page - don't ask me why. If you subscribe, then you will see the images, and this is the best way for your students to get your podcasts.
If you click the 'subscribe' button on the Store page, then you will see the podcast listed when you click on Library>Podcasts in the sidebar. Clicking on the disclosure triangle will show the list of episodes: the latest one will be downloaded automatically and you can click on 'Get' to download the earlier ones. All subsequent episodes will be downloaded automatically as soon as they are published (provided iTunes is running). When you play them you will see the images.

Latest episode of Podcast still not appearing in iTunes, after a 10 day wait
Hi folks,
So far four episodes from my feedburner feed have sucessfuly been published to itunes.
But the fifth episode, published on the 24th of August has not appeared in iTunes.

The Feed validator service (feedvalidator.org) seemed to think it was a valid feed.
As an idea, should I delete the Wordpress post and re-create it, perhaps forcing iTunes to notice the refreshed feed?

Paul BusseyI think the problem lies in me using a Wordpress plugin called "Bulletproof Security". A similar problem was experienced by this user who also uses the blurbrry plugin:-

The support at my hosting company also received the 403 error and recognises that iTunes may have an issue with this security plugin.
This thead may be of help to other Wordpress users who have this plugin and are experiencing similar problems.
I've asked Apple to alter the podcast feed to a feedburner address instead (since I don't have any subscribers just yet). I figure that since the feedburner feed lies outside of my selfhosted Wordpress site, there shouldn't be any security issues.
Hopefully Apple will respond a second time!

Individual podcast episodes not appearing in iTunes but they're available to subscribers
Is there a way to resolve this problem? Just uploaded the second episode of my podcast. The podcast has an iTunes page and subscribers can download, but the individual episodes don't appear on the podcast's main page.

DaveYour feed has two episodes. The latest was released only today, so it's too soon to expect to see it in the Store. The Store should be showing the first episode but though it says '1 item' it's not showing it.
You've fallen over a long-standing and intermittent bug in the Store where it claims to be showing the correct number of items but in fact either isn't showing any or isn't showing all of them, although all the episodes appear when subscribing. There isn't really anything you can do about this yourself as the problem lies with the Store, not your feed. It usually sorts itself out in a few days, but it's worth emaling Support at podcasts 'at' apple.com and asking them to re-index your podcast as this may speed things up -
New podcast page not appearing in iTunes Music Store yet
Our latest addition to the WhiskyCast podcast series, WhiskyCast Virtual Tastings, was added to the iTunes Music Store last weekend. However, it's still not showing up in search results unless one types in the complete name of the show, and then only shows up as a single episode -- not with a page of its own like our other podcasts. I know it takes a day or two for new podcasts to show up in the search results, but without the page, there's no "Report a Concern" link for me to check with the iTMS team on whether there's an issue or not. Should I wait a few more days to see if the problem straightens itself out, or is there someone within Apple that I can reach out to to see whether there's a problem with my feed that's keeping the page from showing up.

Mark GillespieThe link you give is to the Store page for your podcast - this is what the Search results will link to once they become available. Your page does have the 'Report A Concern' link but I shouldn't bother (iin any case it's really meant for people to complain about content or whatever).
It can take some days for the Search results to show; it's been eight, so it should happen any time now. If you want to contact Support (though I don't think you will find them at all helpful), go to http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ - click on 'Other iTunes Store Features' in the list and then on 'Podcasts'. You will see a link to either 'Express Lane', which will guide you eventually to some contact options, or you may see a link to email them. -
My ipod touch has a permanent image of the end of a USB cable with an arrow pointing to an icon of ITunes. I can't reset using the two button method, and ipod does not appear on itunes when I plug it into the computer - and nothing else happens either. This happened after I agreed to a software update which failed. How can I get it going again?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My podcast doesn't appear on Itunes search
It has been 4 days now since I created my podcast and it still does not appear on Itunes search, nor does it appear when attemtping to browse for it under the categories and subcategories section. my podcast feed was validated so there doesn't appear to be anything wrong, and the image link is correct for the cover art...can anyone help?? Or do I have to wait a month till it finally shows up?
It can take quite a long time. It's not possible to comment further without knowing the details of your podcast.

IPhone Does Not Appear in iTunes
Hi! My iPhone 3GS does not appear in iTunes. It is recognised by Windows. It is recognised by iTunes in my desktop PC, but the problem is when I use my Samsung NC10 portable notebook.
I am using Windows XP Home, version 2002, with SP3.
iTunes is version 9.2.0.61
So far I have followed suggestions in:

including re-installing iTunes, resetting iPhone, checking that required services are running, stopping & starting services. I have used msconfig to see if I couls identify any conflicts but no success.
I used iTunes diagnostics, and it answered "no iPhone, iPad, iPod found"
I DO get an error when I start iTunes:
"The registry settings used by the iTunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please re-install iTunes" However, the Samsung NC10 does not have a CD/DVD drive, so I am assuming this is the cause of this error.

<Edited by Host>I have a netbook toshiba a ipad and a iphone 3gs. And sudanly aparantly without reason, they stopped appearing in itunes. I tried everything in the manuals and nothing. THEN by chance I notice that a have a sdcard adapter inserted BUT without the micro SD inside it. I removed the sd adapter and , miracle when I conected the iphone, IT works allright.

My ipad does not appear in Itunes to restore or back up data. Thestatus of my device are:
- updated the latest Itunes version 10.6 .
- tried to restart Apple Mobile Device in Window but it still doesn't work.
- Could not restore in DFU becasue the window doesn't recognize ipad. It appeared cable & itunes disk images but it itunes does not recognize.
- When i pluged the ipad in my laptop, window could not reconize ipad neither.
Please help to solve it!Let me summary what i have done in the last few days to try to fix the issue taht the new ipad does not appear on itunes 10.6 so that you guys can have an overview to help me :
- removed previous itunes together with Apple Mobile Device and Bonjours
- Reinstall latest version Itunes
- restart computer (for sure the problem not from laptop becasue my other new ipad and iphone4 stil work well with itunes)
- tried using recovery mode when the iPad is connected with computer and iTunes open; Keep the Powerbutton and the Homebutton pressed at the same time until see the Apple logo on iPad screen.Then wait for about 10 minutes (i repeat this step many times). Ipad is turned on but still not connect to itunes or no notice board appeared on itunes to start restore
- I changed the usb cable/port...nothing change

- battery is fully charged
- My laptop (window 7)
- All what i can get is the ipad is charged when i plug in laptop.

I had the same problem. found a dozen different solutions in various forums. None worked.
One of the official responses TS1538 came very close and sounded promising. I found that the usb device did not appear in device manager. The ipad appeared only in the imaging devices.
The instructions were to right click on the entry in images and update the driver, pointing at
program files\common files\apple\drivers\usbaapl.inf.
This told me that my device was not found in the driver. date on the files was 2009. date on the files in another pc which worked was 2011.
I had already re-installed itunes, which I thought should install the necessary driver.
Decided to fool it. copied the files in the above folder and then deleted them. Then re-installed itunes again.
Fixed.
So why doesnt itunes installation over-ride the old files?
Why doesnt apple tell us about this fix.

Message was edited by: realmaI'm afraid I can't make any sense of this. the iTunes Store page lists 301 episodes from 12 January 2010 to 17 June 2010. If you click on the 'subscribe free' button your iTunes application subscribes to the feed at the URL you give, which contains rather fewer episodes from 17 September 2010 to 22 October 2010 (today).
It's not unknown for something in the feed to be OK with the application but not the Store, but the feed validates in FeedValidator and I can't see anything wrong with it - it's almost impossible to read as it's all on one line, but it doesn't seem to contain any of the usual culprits.
The only explanation which would make any sense (and which doesn't seem to be the case) would be if the feed had been complete only to 17 June until a few days ago, and you only recently replaced it with the current set of episodes: it normally takes 1-2 days for changes to appear (so even under normal circumstances today's episodes wouldn't appear yet in the Store, only on subscribing). Since your feed contains episodes back to September this doesn't seem to apply, but I can't see any other reason. -

You will need Mac OS 10.5.8 or later in order to get itunes 10.5 or later, in order to connect your iphone. -

My iPod seems to be frozen on "Do not disconnect" yet it does not appear in iTunes on my computer ? Eventually I did disconnect. It's remains frozen and shows almost full charge.
I'm having similar problems. Here is exactly what happens to me:
I dock the iPod (I believe it is the 5th gen model, one of the first to play videos). Sometimes it syncs properly sometimes not. It will add songs not on my iPod, but it won't update the play count, last played, etc. The problem was fixed when I updated to a new version of iTunes (I believe it was 7.2 at the time, I could be wrong). So I played it off just being an iTunes issue. Well, with 2 updates since then, it has done it yet again. I've tried to restart the iPod using the menu+select key. It will work to remove the iPod, but it won't help in the future. The only way I can remove the iPod is to click on "Safely Remove Hardware." I know this isn't good for the iPod, but this is the only way that I can get the "Do not disconnect" icon off my iPod. Also, I tried to click "Eject iPod" (I've used this several times in emergency cases and worked wonders) but I get a message saying "iPod is in use by another windows program." I couldn't imagine what program is using my iPod. As far as I know, iTunes is the only program that can use the iPod on my computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. -
My Ipod 160GB when disconnected is showing without any files, but no room available. It appears in my 'Computer' screen as 'Removable Disk (though the icon is a little iPod). It does not show up in iTunes at all (I have the latest version).
When I right-click the icon on the 'Computer' screen it does run incredibly slowly. I was doing this to consider if I should try formatting it (only NTSF and exFAT formats were showing) but I wasn't certain if that would be a good idea.
I have thus far:
Hard Reset iPod
Verified the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver was installed correctly via Device Manager
Checked the device in 'Computer Management' > 'Disk Management - showing as a RAW file with only format option as exFAT or NTSF
Ran iPod in Diagnostic Boot Mode - IO > HardDrive > HDSMARTData* - stats revealed 'Error' (did this twice to confirm error). Reset iPod from here.
After this it actually came up in iTunes but said it needed to be restored - ran Restore iPod. Error message said 'iPod cannot be restored. Uknown error occoured (1415).
Tried Solution 1 (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1539) - Reregistering the .dll files. Was unable to complete step 11 as the iPod did not appear in iTunes.
Verified that Apple Mobile Device Manager was installed.
Restarted the Apple Mobile Device Service.
Checked for third party conflicts - couldn't find any.
Changed the drive letter and restarted the computer.
Put into disk mode - unsure what that achieves.
Downloaded the HP USB with no luck running the program. I believe that Windows Vista doesn't allow formatting drives to FAT32 at all, and even previous editions of Windows wouldn't allow formatting above 32GB so certainly no suitable for me. If I got hold of a mac computer - could I format on that? Or is there a FAT32 Formatter that works for 160GB?
So I am at a bit of a frustrated loss. If you have any suggestions or know what I should do - I am all ears or eyes as it were. I will be on standby to give you more information if required.

My iPod mini is not appearing in iTunes or windows explorer.
My iPod is not appearing in iTunes or explorer. Only when I go to hardware manager windows admits that there is something that is not installed properly. But when I start the hardware manager and put in the CD, as required by the hardware assistant it says: Hardware couldn’t be installed.
So it is not even possible to reset my iPod, because is not recognized by the iPod Updater. I had to go to another computer to reset the iPod. After that my computer is still not recognizing it. So I installed the latest version of iTunes and Updater, but it doesn’t help. I installed also the latest drivers for my computer, but it did not work. Running the iPod in disc mode doesn’t change anything, too.
The iPod is not listed under disc management so I can’t change the Drive from E to G.
I tried the inactivation of all Microsoft-services according to the protocol from the apple web page, but it did not work, even after installing the latest version of iTunes.
I've read the entire troubleshooting pages on how to fix it.
The message on the iPod mini display is always the same when I connect it: “do not disconnect” and after about 3 seconds “OK to disconnect”. But the iPod is never listed in windows explorer or iTunes. I also reseted it, when it was connected to the computer.
I completely run out ideas and I am about to send it to service.
Can anyone help?
