Enhanced RD from SP14 or SP16?

Hi ,
Can any one tell me from when XI has the additional option for ENHANCED Receiver Determination.Is it from SP 14 or SP16?
How can i find my XI system SP?
Somehow I came across EXTENDED receiver determination.What is ENHANCED Rd and what is EXTENDED Rd?
Please clarify.

Standard reveiver determiantion allows you to select only a service.
Extended receiver determiantion allows you to select Mapping name/namespace/SWCV.

Empty SXI_MONITOR after SP14 to SP16 (Messages passing without problem)

Hi,
after patching from SP14 to SP16 i do not see Messages in SXI_MONITOR nether in RWB Monitor. The Messages passing the XI, i tried an sync WebService to RFC Scenario and it's working. I just don't have Messages in monitor. The Monitoring settings in SXMB_ADM are looking good. Any idea???

Hi,
To be able to see the successfully processed sync messages you have to set the sync_logging parameter to 1 in sxmb_adm.
Go to sxmb_adm>Integration Engine configuration>specific config>add new entry in runtime category> set the logging_sync parameter to '1'
Once these setting are done you should be able to see the sync messages in sxmb_moni.

Replication of Enhanced Products from CRM to R/3

Hi,
I have downloaded the R/3 Material from R/3 to CRM.
Now I have made changes in that product in CRM i.e I have added some attributes in CRM Product Master.
Now,Is it possible to replicate that enhanced product from CRM back to R/3.
If yes,Can you please explain me as to how I do it in Middleware???

Hi,
CRM to R/3 replication is not possible for products but only for IBASES. you will have to enhance the material master in ECC and then replicate the custom data to CRM in enhanced fields. that is possible but from CRM to ECC i am afraid is not !

BI 7.0 upgrade from SP14 to SP18

Hi Friends,
We are upgrading SAP BI 7.0 from SP14 to SP18 and one of the source systems which is CRM 5.0 is not upgrading. So i want to know is there any impacts to data sources that we are using for CRM data and what are the steps we have to consider in this scenario.

As per my knowledge there is no impact on the datasources.
As your CRM is not upgrading,there will no change in the datasource and their structures.and mappings in the transfer rules. if u have upgraded the CRM system then you might observe some new datasources along with new upgrade version.

Tranport portal content from SP14 to SP18

Hello,
Is it possible and advisable to transport portal content (iviews, roles, etc) from a portal on EP6 SP14 to EP6 SP18? Do I need to manually move configuration from one portal to the other? What are my options?

There should be absolutely no problem in transporting EPAs from SP14 to SP18 (as far as the transport mechanism in concerned; as far as SP14 based PAR implementations are concerned, they maybe should be checked if they use some undocumented APIs which are always subject to change without notice, but from your question I don't think that this was your problem/question).

What conf are you thinking of? As far as PCD objects and their conf is concerned, as said, for that you should use the normal transport packages.
As far as the KM config is concerned, this can be transported, too, but that is (totally independent from SP-level questions) something where one has to be careful (the best choice is only to bundle a configArchive with special own settings one is aware of, and not to transport the complete KM config).

Transport IR and ID obejcts from SP14 to SP20 ?

We have a dual XI development environment - DEV1 and DEV0 . DEV1 was recently upgraded to SP20 while DEV0 is on SP14.
While DEV1 was being upgraded, we had to make several changes to ID and IR obejcts in DEV0 for bug fixes as well as new development.
My question is, when DEV1 comes back up, can we transport the IR and ID changes from DEV0 to DEV1 ? Does anyone have any experience with transporting across SP levels - from SP14 to SP20 ?
Or do we have to make the changes manually in DEV1 ?

Hi Anil,
We did import from SP19 to SP20 without any problem, but in your case it is a big difference SP14 to SP20.
I prefer to do it directly in DEV1.

Downtime for upgrade from SP14 to SP23 - PI 7.0

We have recently upgraded our PI 7.0 system from SP 21 to SP 21.
Basis team has requested for 19 hrs downtime. But the actual downtime that was required was less than 10 hours.
During upgrade, you have a downtime minimisation approach which would enable you to perform few actvities online without bringing down the system.
To follow this approach, Goto the transaction code "SAINT" --> Extras --> Settings --> Import Queue --> Import Mode.
There would be an option called "Downtime-minimized". Check that option so that you would be able to reduce the downtime during the upgrade.

   We have installed WAS6.40(ABAP+J2EE) SR1 installation and on SP9 now.
   We want to move to SP16.
   Can any1 guide us on the following points:
     1) Do we have to do any configuration (of MI) part now and then move to SP16?
     or
     2) Can we apply SP16 patch first on WAS and then do the MI configuration.
We have gone through some documents on SDN .. but, we are not very sure of how to go about from this point.
Would be grateful.. if some1 can share us any screenshots of procedure to go about.

If u use the SP16 Config guide, you won't find certain things (missing steps) in SP9 Level. So, if you Upgrade first and then configure, you will be able to do it successfully.
if you had already done some configuration in SP09, they won't get deleted/corrupted if you upgrade. they will stay. you may cotinue it from that point after upgradation.
The Config guide that you get from the Service Market Place, is clear enough for any NewBie's to work on.
regarding the upgradation of WAS, as far as i know there are no documentation available for upgradation.
The upgradation goes like this :-
*. Stop the server
1. Kernal Patch - after this start the server.
2. SPAM Patch - Transaction code SPAM in client 000 user DDIC.
3. ABAP Patch - Transaction code SAPM in client 000 user DDIC.
4. J2EE Patch - A Installable like SAPinst.exe file
You can jump from sp09 to sp14 for J2EE stack right away.
But for ABAP patches, you should go step by step. ie. you have to add patches 09,10,11,12,13,14 - all of it can be found from Service.sap.com/swdc. you may do it at one go - by putting them in a queue in SAPM and let the system do it one by one. The same procedure for SPAM Patches (level 19) - yours will be in level 17.
Kernel patch is just copy pasting the files into its directory. it will get over in no time.

I did find an almost exact hit when doing a note search (note 812079) but the hit was concerned with patching from SP13 -> SP14. It also said in the note that this was fixed in SP14, but it appears that the problem has re-asserted itself in SP15.
I just thought I would check here first to see if anyone has a solution before opening an OSS ticket...

We did get a similar problem when patching EP from SP11 to SP15.

Remove/deactivate enhancement components from enhancement project

Hi all,
I have created project for enhancement & included the enhancement in the project. Enhancement contains 3 components for example
1. Exit_XXX_001
2. Exit_XXX_002
3. Exit_XXX_003
I have implemented all the three components to check which one suits best for my requirement and found that 001 suits my requirement best. Now there is check mark for all the three components indicating that they are implemented.
My requirement is to make the components 002 & 003 look as if they are not implemented(remove the check mark as it looks before implementation), In other words i want to remove components 002 & 003 from the project.
Hope I'm able to explain what i mean. If anybody require more clarification. Please let me know.

What you're trying to do is not possible. All components contained in an enhancement (SMOD) can only be activated or deactivated en-block. So similarly in CMOD, best you could do is deactivate and remove the complete component...

I currently have High Speed Internet Enhanced plan, which I'm paying 49.99/month for. My download/upload speed is 3355 Kbps / 864 Kbps, and I recently found out that my DSL line can handle up to 7 Mbps download speed.
Would there be any cost/charge, if I ask to upgrade my DSL line from 3 Mbps to 7 Mbps? And how much I would be paying each month for 7 Mbps?

The 7Mbps plan costs just as much as the 3Mbps plan. They are same package, but are different provisioning rates. Unless you are on some really old grandfathered plan, the price should be the same.

Import enhanced photos from iPhone to iPhoto

How do I import enhanced (red-eye corrected, cropped, tinted) photos from my iPhone (iOS7) to iPhoto? I see the iPhone appearing in iPhoto but when I import the photos only the original is copied. The "enhanced" version do not show up in iPhoto.

For patching the EP system from 14 to 24, you need to download the Support Paackages using SolMan - MOPZ feature. Once this is done, using JSPM tool, the system can be patched. Enhancement fields from ekko - LIS extractor

Hi,
I append in structure MCEKKO two fields (RLWRT and FRGRL from the EKKO table) but in order to come up these fields include in others releases and conflicts can be generated, I put them a "zz" at the beginning but preserving the data type.
Then in LBWE transaction I added these fields using arrow buttons provided and I understand there is no need to write user exit code to populate these new fields.
Then the data source is activated with the changes.
When I simulate 2LIS_02_HDR with the RSA3 transaction, these fields do not fill.
The ZZ at the beginning would be the problem? What could be?

When I remove the ZZ a warning is showed.
"Field RLWRT does not lie within customer namespace."
But the activation is permitted.
This is the procedure:
"If they are new fields or fields which are only used in structures, you are recommended to change the field names and the reports which access them."
"The field name for fields of database tables cannot be changed without the corresponding data being lost. It is only necessary to change the field name if the same name is used by SAP."
But the field is the same by SAP, because is the same. :S
