Enhancements of IT0077, IT0001 and IT0032

Hi Friends,
I am very new to SAP HR module. I have few requirements on ESS. Can you please check the following descriptions.
1) In the part of enhancement of IT0077, All employees, existing and new, will be given the option to go on-line via Employee Self Service and declare their sexual orientation, ethnicity and disabilities. Employees will have the choice to indicate their sexual orientation ethnicity and disabilities from a drop down list...
2)The enhancement to IT0001/IT0032 of adding the fields Location
Supports all ELC processes.This enhancement will allow the Location in which the employee is working to be recorded on IT0032 and the Location the employeeu2019s payslip is to be distributed to be recorded in IT0001. The standard system does not allow for this information to be recorded, in a controlled format, either in R/3 or ESS.
For this in webdynpro I have imported sap.com_SAP_ESS_1. Do you have any idea which component I need to modify in this?
Could you please check this and could you explain with detailed steps?

No Webdynpro Devlopment required. You can add the field from the Portal personization in the iview.

Enhancements is not active and cannot be transported

Hi All,
We are getting following error message when releasing a Transport request in CRM system which is on 7.0 version on MaxDB.
"Enhancements is not active and cannot be transported".
The strange thing is that the Tasks underneath are all released successfully , but only the TR is not getting released.
Also, the logs in transports do not point to which enhancement is not active as well.
Any help in this issue is highly appreciated.

Go to the enhancement and check the tables.fields,includes and it request nos.Go to that transport request ,double click on that see what and all there under it. Post if need help.

Steps to to enhance the existing cube and get the data from r/3

I am at entry level.
if i want to enhance an existing cube and pull data from R/3 into the cube what are the main steps i do.
in my scenario - this is SD module. The infocude is custom cube(CONTRACT cube) . I have to enhance this existing custom cube with new info objects. The person who had created this cube years ago has used generic data source .
Please explain me the main stepd i need to do in R/3 till i get it to BI

check if you can enhance the existing generic data source to bring data for new info objects or if those fileds are aleady existing in the data source - if existing, you will have to make changes only in BW side, if not, you will have to first modify the generic data source
if you have modified the data source, relicate data source at BW side
create new info objects and add those to cube > activate info cube
map the info objects with fields in data source > activate tranformation
test it by loading the data
now you will have to move these changes to produciton;
move the data source changes to R/3 production system (if applicable)
replicate data source in BW production system
move the BW transports to production system
you will have communicate to the uses that data will not avialable for some time or you need to reload data in cube in off business hours or on a weekend
delete data from info cube
initialize delta without data transer
do a full repair to the cube
now you can run delta on a daily basis

Try to quit iPhoto from the Home Screen - the recent app section.:
Double click the Home button to reveal the recently used apps.
Then tap and hold on the iphoto for ios icon until it wiggles. It will show a "minus" sign in the corner.
Now tap the minus sign to quit the app.
Click the screen above the row of recent apps to return it to normal.
Now restart iPhoto and see if it back to normal.

How to enhance the WA01,WA02 and WA03 tcodes for adding a new tab at header level.I searched for BADI for that screen enhancement.I am not finding any BADI or Enhancment points for adding a tab at header level.

I think the screen cannot be enhanced, so will have to get a sap key to change this or find another way to do this.

How to Enhance Security of Windows and Recover Lost/Forgotten Password

You maybe always get in some troubles with your PC. Lost Windows password? Forgot Windows password? Your PC was hacked? Therefore, it is a basic step for every Windows users to enhance the security of Windows password. In the networks, it is found that a number of user’s passwords are easy to guess. Only the smallest groups are the most security conscious and select passwords that are mixed lowercase and uppercase letters, numbers and punctuation to create cryptic passwords. Adopting strong password is one of the most effective ways to ensure system security. Here are several methods for you to enhance the security of your passwords in Windows 7/2000/XP/Vista and so on. You’d better remember the methods below unless you want to reset Windows password from time to time.
1. Is random password a great password?
A common myth is that totally random passwords like Ht3&e#L%5d@$B are the best passwords. This is not true. While they may be strong passwords, they are usually difficult to remember, slow to type, and sometimes vulnerable to attacks against the password generating algorithm. It is easy to create passwords that are strong but much easier to remember by using a few simple techniques. For example, consider the password “Luck-73@Better?”. This password utilizes uppercase and lowercase letters, two numbers, and three symbols. The password is 15 characters long and can be memorized with very little effort. Moreover, this password can be typed very fast. The portion“Luck” and “Better” alternate between left and right-handed keys on the keyboard, improving speed, decreasing typos, and decreasing the chances of someone being able to discover your password by watching you.
2. Create the long Windows password
Although a password may eventually be discovered through some means, it is possible to create a password that cannot be cracked in any reasonable time. If a password is long enough, it will take so long or require so much processing power to crack it. That is essentially the same as being unbreakable (at least for most hackers).
3. Create the Windows password constantly?
This may be good advice for some high-risk passwords, but it is not the best policy for every user. It is frustrating for a user to have to constantly think of and remember new passwords every 30 days. It may be better to focus on stronger passwords and better user awareness rather than limiting password age. A more realistic time for the common user may be 90-120 days.
4. Write down Windows password in a proper place
Sometimes it is necessary for some users losing and forgetting complex passwords easily to write down them somewhere proper. However, it is important to educate users on how to write down passwords properly. Obviously, a sticky note on the monitor is not a good idea, but storing passwords in a safe or even a locked cabinet may be sufficient.
5. 14 characters is the optimal password length
Each character that you add to your password increases the protection. Your passwords should be 8 or more characters in length; 14 characters or longer is the Optimal Password Length. Many systems also support use of the space bar in passwords, so you can create a phrase made of many words. It is not easier to forget and lose, as well as longer than a simple password, and harder to guess.
6. Try not to use the same Windows password for all accounts
Some users always make the same passwords for every account to make it easy to remember. In that case, when any one of them lost, your other information protected by that password will be in danger as well. It is serious to use different passwords for different systems and accounts.
7. Do not use some common words that other users maybe guess
Most of users prefer to use some common words to remember easily, for example, login name, birth date, driver's license, passport number, pets’ name and other words contained their personal information someone knows. In that case, your Windows system will not be safe anymore. Moreover, do remember not to use some words spelled backwards, abbreviations, sequences or repeated characters and adjacent letters, such as, asdfgh, 123456, 888888, abcdef and so on.
You can smoothly use your Windows now because the strong and powerful Windows password is created successfully, Certainly, I believe that many users lost Windows password and forgot Windows password, then you need have to reset Windows password or recover Windows password. It is a big problem for plenty of Windows users that how to reset Windows password. Many users probably do not know how to recover Windows password and they are puzzled by resetting windows password, for instance, reset Windows 7 password, recover password Windows XP, remove Windows Vista password and other operating systems after they create the password with complex letters, numbers and symbols. However, it is unnecessary to worry and it is said that things will eventually sort themselves out. There are many ways to reset forgotten Windows password, including use windows password reset disk and windows password reset software, like Super Windows Password Reset, a professional windows password reset software which could enable you to logon to Windows smoothly without reinstalling system. These are all my suggestion about methods to enhance the security of Windows password. To create password for your Windows account is not a thing you should do, but a thing you must do by following my advices. It is the important line of defense against hackers. If your Windows password is indeed attacked finally or nevertheless you lost Windows password, you can try out windows password reset tool I mentioned above. The advantage is that there is no fear of leaking your password to outsiders. Certainly, the only better method is still creating the strong password, do remember it and then change one constantly.

Screen enhancment for PR,PO and MIGO

Hi experts,
I have added long material text(more than 40 characters) into material master using screen enhancement ,
now i want to add this into Purchase Requisition , Purchase order and MIGO . I have added LONG TEXT into PR & PO using screen enhancement, but new tab is added i.e. Customer Data(Subscreen) .
But my requirement is that to add new field in existing tab only i.e. Material Data.

To find the user exit,
1. Goto the tarnsaction say MIRO.
2. Click on System and In that status.
3. Double click on the Program screen Which is under SAP data.
4. In that Program, Click on GOTO and find the package name. (It is MRM for MIRO Transaction).
5. Go to SMOD.
6. In the enhancement field click f4.
7. give the package name and execute and you will find list of User exits.

Idoc enhancement with new fields and refresh in MII 12.1

Hello all,
I'm using one standard idoc LOIPLO to transfer planned orders from ERP to SAP ME 5.2
I have enhanced this idoc to add some new "custom fields" -> On the ERP side I can see my new fields in the idoc, but when idoc is received in MII, I don't see my new fields (it's still the "old" idoc version). In 5.1, I remember that we had to stop/start the message listener in MII and new fields were available, but in 5.2 it does not work.
-> Message listener is now configured at Netweaver level and we stop/start it, but the new fields are not in.
Any idea how to "refresh" the idoc version in MII ?

Restarting the Java process should be enough...
Perhaps also via the "cache refresh" tool normally used for Webdynpro stuffs...

Enhancing datasource for qty and currency fields gives error

Hi Everyone
i need some advice on the following
i am enhancing a datasource which contains some currency and quantity fields
when i check my datasource i get the following error
specify reference table AND reference field
below is more detail on it but i am not sure i know what is means
Diagnosis
You must specify reference tables and reference fields for fields containing currency amounts or quantity data. You have specified either only the reference field or the reference table and have not maintained either entry.
Procedure
Add the missing entry. You can do this with the single field maintenance function of the table.
i have tried ua=sing data element instaed of field name but still no luck
can anyone help?

When you enhace datasource for currency/quantity fields, you have to give reference fields and tables for that.
Please specify the reference field and reference table for the currency/quantity field.

I searched SDN but all i could see are not related to monitoring,Are there any enhancements in
monitoring ?
Added to that i would like to know about payload message search in PI 7.1 , how to configure(any additional overhead)
Heard about TREX and have the installation guide with me ,but would like to know if a separate server is required for that?if yes is it mandatory ?(why)

SRM7.0 RFX screen enhancement with extra tab and save on standard save

I also have a similar requirement. I need to add three new tabs to contract item screen in SRM 7.0.
I could find some details about enhancement procedures in SRM 7.0.
Mainly important tool, floorplan manager ( FPM ) is used for enhancing the user interface in SRM 7.0. asnd there are some feeder classes i think is required to save the data to the database.
Also, i could find some BADI's which can be used to save and change the data and save it to database.
But, i could not get the step by step procedures how to achieve this task. But, it isure that we should use FPM and feeder class etc.
If you have completed the task, please let me know.

6300/S40 Enhancement Request for Calendar and Acti...

The 6300 is an excellent phone. I like it very much. But having used a 6680 before, I would like to see the following improvements (ideally implemented as a Software Upgrade):
Calendar Settings
Default View does not allow TODAY view, even though one exists and can be accessed via the Calendar (viaVIEW button in Calendar).
Active Standby & Calendar
Active Standby is divided into 4 areas (in Personalise View), for which you can individually set content options. When you set Calendar as content option, only 1 or 2 calendar entries max are displayed (as much as fits into that content area). If the areas below the Calendar area is free, the Calendar should flow over into the empty content areas below it, so that more Calendar entries can be displayed.

since you seems to be using the calendar actiively, maybe you could help me. I use my calendar in the 6300 everyday but have this problem, when i synchrinize with my Outlook 2007. All my contacts sync perfectly and so do messages, but when i try to sync my calendars (6300 to/from Outlook) it only works the first time. When I open the sync calendar in the pc suite, the sync button is not active. I've tried to reconnect the phone, but it is still not active. On top of the window it says that the phone is not connected, but if I switch to contacts the phone is connected and so it is with the other facilities. Last time i solved the problem by reinstalling pc-suite, but now i have the same problem again. This is quite annoying and **bleep** me of.
Hope some of you can help me.

Enhance - Convert to Black and White menu Option 'issue'...?

Just an observation, more like an infuriating 'niggle'...
When I use the 'Convert to Black and White' menu option in Photoshop Elements 10, it does a good job, but it still leaves the file in RGB format (Colour)??
I am working for a Publishers, and I keep forgetting to convert the file to Grayscale after running the Wizard.
Wouldn't it have been easier to add this as an option at the end, and have they done this in Photoshop Elements 11 (or later...)??
It seems to me to be something that you'd expect the package to do...???

No, this option isn't part of convert to black and white anywhere, since it's not something you normally want to do because it greatly limits what else you can do to your photo (many tools and commands are only available for RGB photos). I realize that in your particular situation it's an annoyance, but although I think adobe makes a lot of goofy decisions, I can see why they chose not to do that here.

Enhancement Please! iWeb and Photo resizing

Hey all
I take loads of photos @ 7Megapixels which results in large file sizes. Fantastic when I want to blow them up. But to drop publish them onto iWeb it copys the graphic/photo rather than asking if you wish to resize or lower the quailty. As we know the same image will look great with a much higher compression rate when viewed.
any views on this as I think it would be a great enhacement!

In which templates and in what situations are you seeing this happen? I certainly don't experience the same thing. For example, I have four photo pages on a site on which I've been playing around with iWeb [link to the photo 'menu' page here: <http://web.mac.com/curlytool/iWeb/iWebTryout/Photos.html>].
Comparing file sizes between originals and published versions for one of these pages I see that the largest of my originals is 1.4 MB @ 1,464 x 1,054 pixels. This has been converted to PNG and reduced to 180 KB @ 700 x 120 for use in the page header, and (still as a JPG this time) to 156 KB @ 800 x 576 for display when its thumbnail is clicked and in the slideshow. This applies both when I publish to .Mac and to a local folder.
Resizing of this nature is standard in my experience with iWeb. With photo albums in particular, images are changed to a maximum height of 800 pixels to suit the requirements of the new slideshow. I have to say, however, that my experience is limited to the Modern template. Perhaps the situation is different with others.
