Enhancements to the WEB Templete 0ANALYSIS_PATTREN

Hi,
We are using 0ANALYSIS_PATTREN web templete for WEB Bex Analyzer.
User access queries using this templete.
I got couple of requirments that i need to enhance the WEB templete.
Please guide me how to proceed to achieve...
When user executes query and navigate in the report (Filters,drilldowns..etc) once he is done is chooses the option to 'Print' Button which export the Query/Report to PDF
My requirment is to include a Company Logo and the Current Date or Report generated date in the PDF...
Currently it is displaying only filter applied in the PDF
How can i achieve this

Hi Yolanda,
It has got to do installation of 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN from Business Content.
In Business Content -> Object Types -> BEx Web Template -> Select all templates starting with 0ANALYSIS and install them.
This is required to run the WAD templates correctly.

First use the Active Cell property and set the row value to -2 to change an entire column. The attached image shows how to set the background color of column 3 to green. I don't understand your comment about column size. It doesn't matter how wide or narrow a column is. Using the Cell Background Color property, the entire cell is colored. If you are having difficulty keeping track of the number of columns, thats a different issue.

Under Style sheet General tab what ever you mentioned in the description field, that would be displayed as report title.

How to edit the description of web templete.

Hi all,
Please help me for the following problems.
I have created some webtempletes and transported from dev to quality system.
Now my requirement is
1. I have to change the description of webtemplete.
2. I have to change the header links in the webtempletes.
while I am changing the header links I am getting the error as follows
Object can't be processed due to transpotation problem.(I am unable to save the web templetes after the changes made).
friends please help me for these two issues.

Hi James,
You must have assigned a development class(package) to the web template.Now since you have transported the object, to make any more changes the same development class(package) needs to have a default transport request.
The same can be assigned by clicking on the "BEx" button on the transport connection tab in rsa1.
once assigned you can make the changes in the web template.
To change the description goto the properties of the web template on the left hand select the web template and change the description.

I'm facing an error when enhancing the component ERP_H with a custom field in the web UI.
I've followed the steps mentioned in the pdf document called "Enhancement Options for the Lean Order Interface" (Note

I´ve done a enhacement on ERP_H component.
I added a field to the view Headerdetail called "ZZCCTYPE1", but when I set a value in UI, I haven´t read this field in abap code.
The SET method (SET_ZZCCTYPR1) in the context node is ok, in debug I see that the method current->set_property, is working fine.
I've tried to read the atribute with lr_entity->get_property_as_string ( 'ZZCCTYPR1' ), but doesn´t work. When I read other "standard field", the statement is ok and it has value.
When I set the value of the field from ECC (VA01/VA02), it is kept by the system.
Could anybody help me?

Hi,
To add a new field, you have to first create it through T-Code EEWB where in you create a project, create extension which is assigned to a business object and create the new field through wizard - specifying the field name , type and length.
Once this is done, you can check the new field coming up in available fields for the relevant component's view in Tcode BSP_WD_CMPWB.

Hi Pooja,
When you created your custom views, did you bind the view context nodes to the corresponding context nodes of your component controller?
From the exceptions you reported it seems that this binding is missing.
To create this binding, you can right click on your view context node , choose "Create Binding" and bind it to the context nodes of your Component Controller.

you cannot set a 7.x template in place of a 3.x and vice versa.
3.x is presented with WAS, wile 7.x using JAVA technology ...
Also follow the path I indicated in SPRO and read the related documentation
You say you saved "query in the relevant roles": check out the path defined in PFCG. It should be different from the one you see in IE whene executing a Query form BEx Query Desinger (7.0):
in BW 3.x was: '?sap-language=EN ... '
I'm afraid it's not a problem of Default Template, but rather a problem of server addressed in Menù items. I think the Menù links were created against the WAS server: now they must be updated.

Beehive enhancement of the day: furthering the Zimbra Web Client

With the decision to leverage Zimbra as Web frontend for its collab server, Oracle has surely provided a powerful web client to all of its Beehive customers.
To my knowledgs, product management has no current plans to further enhance the web client, nor to deploy future versions of Zimbra on top of Beehive.
There are quite a few enhancement requests pending for Zimbra. Here are my favourite ones:

yesterday I used Beehive Zimbra with Android mobile for the 1st time (our policy does not allow external IMAP),
and I was brought back to the impression that Beehive would definitely benefit from the implementation of
ER 11890869: SUPPORT OF ZIMBRA MOBILE WEB CLIENT
Even with Quarter HD (960, ×, 540) resolution you cannot properly operate the classic Zimbra web client without getting crazy!
Please, all: do consider seconding this ER in MOS!

Enhancements / Modifications in Web Dynpro Java

Hi, all!
I' ve a more general question: Are there any enhancement concepts for Web Dynpro Java available or at least planned that would give developers the same comfort and possibilities ABAP programmers have?
I mean, will there ever be an Enhancement Framework like in ABAP - modification free enhancements via BADIs or customer exits?
Think of one of SAPs WDJ flagship - the ESS/MSS. If you want to change anything within, you have no other possibility but to modify the sources. Considering this - together with the weak possibilities of backend access via JCo - I give the WDJ not a chance to stand the challenge of WD4A.

I' m just going through the hep-pages, but what I can definitly say by now is that there' s no enhancement-concept in sight. This matter is getting kind of really embarrassing and leaves the question open: What the heck should an SAP customer persuade to focus on Java Development? No enhancements, no direct data access, no easy debugging possibilities like in ABAP.
I' ve started with WDJ, but digging deeper into WD4A I' m getting more and more convinced that the whole Java thing was just something like a playground field for the development of the programming model and is now getting more and more obsolete with the rising of WD4A.
Correct me, if I' m wrong, and forgive me, if I' m flaming, but when I started with Java development in SAP enviroment I was quite enthusiastic and didn' t understand resentiments of the ABAP developers against our programming language, but now I' m more and more joining their opinion.

Locking mechanism provided by the Web AS Java

I have a requirement to lock an object for a specific action
with using locks provided and managed by the Web AS Java (i have to use TableLocking API).
I have read about the locking mechanism in "SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio Documentation help" .
I need code samples (how it can be done).
