Enhancements Webdynpro

Hi all,
I want to make some enhancements in a standard Webdynpro application (TRIP).
My problem is that ; the VIEW properties remain inactive even if I'm in enhancement mode.
I want to know if there is an OSS note to resolve this ,because I do the same thing in another system R/3 and it's work fine.
Any other ideas are welcome.

Thank you for your reply. Well they are totally diffrents , normally they must have the same behavior.
But i dont understand why the other system doesn t work.

Hi Expert ,
I have one enhanced one webdynpro component . In that i have enhanced some columns in table (Simple not ALV) in Standard Webdynpro View. I have to enable sorting on my fields . It is implemented in standard columns and working fine. But on my fields sorting is not working so please can any one tell me step by step procedure to sort out the solution for this.

you need to add code for sorting on your feilds. check for the exits in that component and implement. How to sort on a table is already aviable in SCN. please search forum.

Enhancing SoCo Result list in SRM 7.0

Hi all,
I have enhanced WebDynpro Component
/SAPSRM/WDC_DO_SOCO_GAF_1
View
V_AO_SOCO_GAF_1
I have included all my SC customer fields within the result table by enhancing the context node
SEARCH-RESULT_FIELDS
All customer fields ar declared as CHAR fields.
Result:
Customer fields are shown within Sourcing Cockpit result list --> everything fine so far.
Problem:
I can not sort the customer table columns.
I have entered sortable within layout but when I hit the sort button
for a customer column --> othing happens?
The lines are not sorted out.
For example
Product Number          FreeText(Customer Field)
A123               ZXY
A234               ABC
When I hit the sort function on my customer column the sorting stays the same?!
For every other column (SAP Standard fields) it works without any problem?!
Do I have to enhance another context node as well to make my columsn sortable?

Creating 'Z' views for Standard ABAP Web dynpro Application

Hi Experts,
I am totaly new to ABAP web dynpro objects.
In our project there were some client requirements which required us to change the properties of the Views related to the Webdynpro. The Client now has said that he needs to apply some enhancement pathces on his system. Due to this, the changes made to the Views i.e all the changes done in standard code are lost.
The client now wants a long term solution where all the changes need to be done in 'Z' implimentataion so that changes are not lost every time the pathces are applied.
Is it possible to create an entire new 'Z' Views for the standard Webdynpro instead of standrad ones?
If Yes how does one link them to the Webdynpro application ?

SRM 7.0 Add Fields in Account Assignment Table

Hi SRM Gurus,
I am working on SRM7.0.
I want to add two fields in Account Assignment Table in Account assignment tab of Shopping cart Item.
I can do it using WebDynpro Enhancement framework , i.e.
1) Create an append structure for Structure INCL_EEW_PD_ACC_CSF
2) Enhance WebDynpro Component : /SAPSRM/WDC_UI_DO_ACC - Component controller node
3) Map this with View V_DO_ACCOUNTING Node
4) Create the necessary Table Columns and Column editors in Account Assignment Table
However i think using SPRO configuration and enhancing few structures also this can be achieved.
Can anyone guide me on how can i achieve it without creating WebDynpro ABAP Enhancement?

I've never done it with account data, but yes with header and item.
I think in this case you need to add these fields in SPRO:
SAP Supplier Relationship Management --> SRM Server --> Cross-Application Basic Settings --> Extensions and Field Control (Personalization) --> Configure Field Control --> Configure Control for Fields of Substructures --> Metadata for Fields of Substructures and Table-Like Enhancements

DropDown Actions within Action "Create Draft" (SRM 7.0)

Hi,
within Soucing Cockpit exists the button (Step2)
Create DRAFT
While pushing the button, a drop down list appears with the possible follow on documents:
Auction
Contract
Purchase Order
RFQ
I just want to use (show)Contract and Purchase Order.
Question:
How can I change the possible values within this dropw down list?
I cant find a feeder, SE80 configurator for the respective Web dynpro application does not help either.
Any hints how I can choose the possible values within the drop down list (for example the relevant method, function module)?

Performance Management - Column layout in EHP5

Hello experts,
Currently my client is on EHP5 and they are asking us to provide column layout in appraisal template. But in EHP5 we are getting the template row wise (one under another) as below
Customer prospective
Unit of measure
Target
Weightage
Target set for achieving rating 1
Target set for achieving rating 2
Target set for achieving rating 3
Target set for achieving rating 4.
But customer wants column wise (one after next horizontally) as below
Unit of measure Target Weightage Target set for achieving rating 1 Target set for achieving rating 2 .................
We know, this is possible in EHP6. Is it possible to achieve the same in EHP5 as above by enhancing webdynpro component 'HAP_DOCUMENT_BODY'? If any one did, please share the solution or the ideas.
I searched a lot for the solution in SDN, but i am unfortunate to get it. I request you give some light in this issue.

I agree with you... even I am afraid talking about either of them (Enhancement or Z webdynpro). Because I can not create a layout with those many UI elements in a static way with lot of visibility control based on different phases in the appraisal.
I will definitely award you points..
But still I have some hope, there is some one, who might have cracked this in either ways and they can provide me the solution.

Adding Custom Fields to Contract Overview Screen

Hi,
I have added Cost Centre as a custom field to the Contract Header screen; I'd like to know if it is possible to add this field to the Overview screen/tab, as we consider it an important field. The SAP documentation hints that it's only possible to add to HEADER or ITEM tabs; is this true?
This is for SRM 7.0

Component and application configuration for RPLM_QIMT_NOTIF_MAIN_COMP

Hi folks,
I've been enhancing a used component RPLM_QIMT_NOTIF_COMP as part of RPLM_QIMT_NOTIF_MAIN_COMP and I now need to configure the display output for a new application, but it doesn't work??
I have configured components and used components of a completely bespoke application and all works correctly, but when I configure the enhanced standard components RPLM_QIMT_NOTIF_MAIN_COMP & RPLM_QIMT_NOTIF_COMP the changes don't take effect???
Am I missing something? Is there something else I need to do to enable the configuration for standard (enhanced) webdynpro components?

You have to explicitly load the component configuration using the following:
data: l_personalization    type ref to if_wd_personalization,
        l_current_controller type ref to if_wd_controller,
l_config type wdy_config_key.
l_current_controller ?= wd_this->wd_get_api( ).
l_personalization = l_current_controller->get_personalization_manager( ).
      l_config-config_id = 'ZCOMPCONF'.
      l_config-config_type = '00'.
      call method l_personalization->load_config_by_key
        exporting
          config_key            = l_config.

Study flow for abap

Hello,
i have been learning abap for almost 2 months now and I have been doing a lot of in book tutorials. I was wondering are if there were any resources or study flow that needs to be followed. Like in java the persons first program is a hello world print statement , which is followed by loops , data structures, oops , etc. and also there are boat loads of practice exercises on the web . I was just wondering if such a thing or place exists on the web for abap. As I am planning to write the taw10 certification , I just wanted to make sure I well equipped for the exam and future interviews .

Alignment in layout

Hi Experts,
I have enhanced webdynpro application by adding additional field in the layout. Now the field is added under a new transparent container outside the standard fields transparent container.
The layout is matrix layout for both and the new transparent container i have added is set to MatrixHeadData under Layout Data.
Now the new elements added under the transparent container are not aligned in similar way as the standard container. Its coming as shown below, is there anyway I can change the property so that the formatting of the new elements is same as
Field A   :   __________________
Field B   :   __________________
ZFIELD LONG TEXT A : _________________
If the Z field was added under the standard transparent container then the whole alignment would have been taken based on the longest field label and output would be like
Field A            : __________________
Field B            : __________________
ZFIELD LONG TEXT A : _________________
Is it possible to have output similar to this by using two transparent containers. I want to influence the arrangement of the field based on the new transparent container for the standard container also.

the only alternative is for you to change at runtime your view layout.
You will need to enhance the method WDDOMODIFYVIEW and apply your changes there.

ECC PO Realese Stratagy details need to be populated in SRM Shopping Cart

FOLKS,
We are configuring SRM7.0 with ECC6 ( Ehp4) having Classic Scenario
We don't want to use Approval process for Shopping Cart, since it will be in ECC PO. The ECC PO in relevant document tab page as a follow on document in Shopping Cart shows only some key fields like Qty, Supplier, Price..etc.
But Requester ( Shopping Cart creater ) want to see in the the Release Status of ECC PO and to whom it is pending in the SHOPPING CART ITSELF (along with other fields of ECC PO in relevant document tab page) .
Can anyone please suggest/confirm me, whether it is possible or not ? If yes , which BADI..or enhancement ?

Error Message in Enhancement of webdynpro

I have a req in Webdynpro standard view to display error message when field have no value.
For this i have used enhancement and under that i am displaying error msg by

Proceed as follows on how to implement the Post document method.
1. Execute TCode SE24 and input the Object type as IF_EX_MB_MIGO_BADI and click on Display
2. Place the cursor on the method POST_DOCUMENT
3. Press F9 or follow the menu path GoTo->Documentation->To component
4. System will display the documentation relevant to POST_DOCUMENT and also there is a NOTE on message handling
5. Also regarding error handling execute SE24 and display the class CL_EXM_IM_MB_MIGO_BADI.
6. Place the cursor on the Method CHECK_ITEM and choose the menu path EDIT->Choose.
7. System will display the sample code.

How to Generate New Version of Enhancements done to Std WebDynpro ABAP obj

Hi Experts,
We have enhanced a SAP Std WebDynpro ABAP component (HAP_DOCUMENT_BODY) using Enhancement framework provided by SAP. Multiple enhancements were done on the same component for different requirements. Now, under the Enhancement Implementations folder of this component, you can see 5 enhancements of the component each referring to the 5 different changes done (most of the changes were done to the same view ).
These changes has now been transported to the Quality System. Now, the client wants one of the changes to be removed. I am not sure of the impact of removing, for eg: the 3rd enhancement, on the other changes done as multiple enhancements were done in a mixed manner.
What i want to do is to generate a new version of WebDynpro component on Dev which has all the enhancements done so far using Utilities -> Versions -> Generate new version. Then try to delete the 3rd enhancement folder, so that if something goes wrong, I can always revert to this newly created version on DEV which has all changes available.
Questions:
1) Before that, I would like to know if I can generate versions of the enhancements done of WebDynpro ABAP using enhancement framework by using Utilities -> Versions -> Generate new version ?
2) If yes, I want to generate one version which has all the enhancements done so far using enhancement framework. For doing so, where should i do the click or selection (Is it Std Main Component or is it Enhancements in the enhancements folder-if so, there are 5 of them, and which one??) before i go to Utilities -> Versions -> Generate new version. I am not clear where i should select or keep the cursor selected on before generating a new version?
Please guide with step by step details.

How to hide a mandatory field in sap standard webdynpro via Enhancement

Hi,
I know to hide a column or UI via enhancement. But if we hide a field via this approach which requires an input we will still get an error message to make an entry.
I am trying to make changes in travel management e.g in FITE_VC_REVIEW webdynpro component. In REVIEW_VIEW in Flight Info table I want to hide columns like arrival time, arrival date. However in current scenario these fields are required to be filled in. If left blank we get an error message while saving or sending request.
Kindly guide me where and how to make changes to remove these column fields.

You can remove the UI elements from teh design itself by right clicking on it and slecting remove element.
but still the condition for checking the mandatory field swill be there in the code so for that you need
to write teh code to set some values to those attribute for passing the condition for validation
