Enhancment to standard infotype

I have an urgent question.
While mapping to legacy table, they have fields of char 180.
Hence we need to enhance standard Infotype.
However, I like to check if there is any screen design constraint.
Also what is the total length/bytes of an infotype?
How to check?

ECC6.0 enhancement to the infotype is max of 500 btyes ie only 250 chars

Facing problem with call subscreen area in standard infotype

Dear SAP Guru's,
I have enhanced standard infotype 0185 from PM01, in assign enhancement tab it create multiple screens ,
my program name ZP018500, screen number 0200 generated,
on 0200 screen i need to display two subscreens tfor that
i have created subscreen area on srcreen 0200 which is already a subscreen.
and i am calling two subscreen 0201 and 0202 on that subscreen area.
while creating entries for 0185 infotype my screen keep going in continious loop for call subscreen statement on 0200 screen number.
roll in fail, session terminated error coming because of this.
is it correct to create subscreen area on subscreen and calling subscreen on that.
Guide me to solve the issue.

But i can't make 0200 screen as normal screen because it is automatically generated by system while enhancing the standard infotype,

Showing fields of Custom infotype in standard infotype screen

Hi Experts
I have created a custom infotype 9xxx. Now when I go to the PA30 maintenance screen for a standard infotype 0795, i should also see the fields from custom infotype 9xxx. Can you please let me know how I can enhance the standard infotype 0795, since SAP does not allow me to change it directly.

I'm gonna be an *ss and ask why you wanna see the fields of your 9xxx - infotype in SAP IT0795.
If this is for information purposes, I believe this should be incorporated in reporting and not within master data infotypes.

Enhance screen for standard infotype

I need to enhance screen for standard infotype. I follow docs but nothing happens.
Here is my process by steps:
1. PM01 - select infty number
2. PM01 - generating CI_PXXXX (customer include)
3. create structure for this include
4. create customer screen for this include
5. PM01 - generate objects.
Then I am redirected to SE19 - BAdI-Builder. What should I do follow?
Created screen hasn't appear in se80 (MPXXXX00).

Please suggest how to enhance standard infotype 1005 - Planned Compensation in HR.Transcation PM01 is not allowing to do so ...as no CI include is attached for the same.

hi,
maybe you can achieve your requirement by creating a new custom OM infotype
( if the custom information are linked to the OM entity : org unit, positions.. ) or a new PA infotype ( if the custom information are linked to the employee ) .

Impact of enhancing standard infotypes on service pack upgrade

Hi SAP experts,
I have a situation where in we had enhanced standard infotype 14 ( added custom fields to structure CI_P0014) in development systems and moved to production systems. Now these changes should be moved to project system in which the service pack upgrade is in progress. Will it impact the SP upgrade if I move my transports to these systems? Will it overwrite the sp changes for IT14?
P.S : The support pack was not applied to the system in which the std infotype was enhanced.

You should re-apply any customer enhancements etc to your development environment after SP's are applied - But only after you have a developer review potential impacts from SP and your development.
I think you would be fine as IT14 isn't updated often in SP's.

How copy changes in standard infotype using scc1

hi,
i m enhancing standard infotype 0022 adding single field using pm01 .
changes are showing in our development client in pa30 screen,
but when i copy the request to other client changes are not reflecting in pa30 screen.
i checked changed screen layout it is showing that additional field but it is not showing in pa30.

Copy Standard infotype screen for country purpose

Hi,
I am trying to copy the Standard screen (2007) for the infotype IT0002 to make some country specific modification.
However I am not able to copy the standard screen as it is asking for the Access Key.
Can you please suggest if there is a way to copy the standard infotype screen without providing the access key.

1) to check how to bring values to a dropdown please refer the standard demo report programs in se38
a)DEMO_DROPDOWN_LIST_BOX
b)demo_dynpro_dropdown_listbox.
2)We need to understand that if the field label 'BIRTHDATE' is from a standard screen then the approach is to go to that particular screen ...delete the text and put our own text there as 'DATE' ..otherwise if the field is a custom field we can change the name in the field level or domain level

Changing standard infotypes - HR

Dear list,
I have some general questions about changing standard infotypes. Although I am not new to ABAP, I have never touched HR before, and I was thrown into the deep water on a new job (and let me tell you it wasn't easy to get it) So please if you can give me any tips and descriptions about this subject, and I have searched a lot of forums, and only later did I realize that it's a new world out there with ECC6, so here are my questions: Just for background, the client has system ECC6, and it hasn't been upgraded from a previous system. In fact, HR still isn't live, but it will be soon.
We have system ECC6. Can I use the old way to change standard infotypes?
If I decide to use the new way, do I first have to decouple the standard infotype?
How can I tell/know if the standard infotype has already been changed? (Enhanced or just changed)
In the old way, can you actually change one of the standard fields, or only add new ones?
In the old way, can your new field be next to the old fields (in the same box or is it a subscreen), or can they only be in an u201CAdditional fieldsu201D box (subscreen).
Same question for the u201Cnewu201D way.
I understand that the u201Cnewu201D way is based on the new enhancement concept. Is it complicated to change/enhance the infotype this way, or not so complicated.

Check with the Version management.

Changing of a field is not allowed. You can add new fields in the CI_include provided
In the old way, can your new field be next to the old fields (in the same box or is it a subscreen), or can they only be in an u201CAdditional fieldsu201D box (subscreen).
New fields would be in the subscreen...

Enhancing a standard component - Table Cell Variant

I am trying to enhance the standard WD component /SAPSRM/WDC_UI_SC_DOTC_BD view V_SC_DOTC_BASIC in SRM 7.0 .
The requierment that for certain condition the Quantity cell in a row should be read only.
Carried out the following steps:
1. Created an enhancement
2. In the standard table column ITEMS_TABLE_QUANTITY [Columns] , removed the standard inputfield.
3. Added two cell variants ZITEMS_TABLE_QUANTITY_CV1 [CellVariants] and ZITEMS_TABLE_QUANTITY_CV2 [CellVariants] first one contans a text view and second contains inputfield. Variant key for first one is DISPLAY and for second one is EDITABLE.
4. Enhanced the method WDDOMODIFYVIEW with below code:
**Read the ITEMS table
DATA lo_nd_items TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node.
DATA lt_items TYPE wd_this->elements_items.
DATA ls_item LIKE LINE OF lt_items.

Now If I add an item that DO NOT satisfy the comdition to be read only, for that row the quantity is enabled but for all the rows below it quantity cells are DISABLED.

How to enhance the standard search with custom field?

Hi all,
I would like to know the general optimal procedure to enhance the standard searches like Opportunity search or Lead search.
I've gone through some of the threads here. Some suggest, to add the new field using AET and copy the IMPL class of the search and then code the custom logic. Some say, append the new field to the structure of the search object and then implement the BADI.
I'm actually a bit confused to understand the correct procedure.
Can someone please help me with a generic procedure to enhance the standard search with a custom field?

Once I have got the same development. I have followed the below steps, please check with this. Let me know for further inputs.
Add new field using Append structure of type ‘XXX’ in search
Create BADI implementation for Enhancement spot ‘ES_CRM_RF_Q1O_SEARCH’ and include filter ‘BTQOPP’
Put your logic in BADI implementation – SEARCH method
Add it in WebUI configuration
Remove the operator if required

How to Enhance the Standard Report? :
When I am trying to execute the query called ZTIMES in the user group SQ01 it is navigating the screen to selection-screen with some inputs to be given here on the selection screen company code is mandatory as an input. The company code field is having the search help and it is fetching the values for the company code from table called PROJ Table (Project definition Table).But I want the company code should fetch the value from the PRPS Table ( Work break structure(WBS Element) Level).
Tables used are PROJ and PRPS.
The company code in PROJ is PROJ-VBUKR
In PRPS is PRPS-PBUKR
In the coding part related to that selection screen I have to replace PROJ-VBUKR with
PRPS-PBUKR.But it is standard report to enhance.
What is suggestible solution for this issue?

Hi,
Since this is an ABAP Query, You can change the infoset query in SQ02 and establish the join linkages between PROJ and PRPS
Also on the selection screen of the Query make sure you provide company code from PRPS table and report output also from the same table reference.
Once you have modified the ABAP Query, activate and generate it so that it will internally regenerate the a standard program.

Adding Standard Infotype fields to Custom Infotype

Hi,
I have a Requirement where I've created a Custom Infotype. Now, client needs to add Standard KOSTL and Email Address fileds to it. Whenever, someone tries to create / change this Custom Infotype for any Employee, the Pernr's KOSTL and Email Address should get populated automatically as in Standard Infotypes 0001 and 0105.
Please guide me, how to achieve this functionality.

Thank you for your valuable information. I haven't Configured Dynamic Actions yet. Is it simple to write the Logic for Dynamic Actions. Is this the only way to solve this Issue?
I tried by adding the standard fields, but they are not populating the values; but just appearing as Input Fields with Input help option.
