1. How can I enlarge the print on the monitor?
2. How can I spread out the page on the monitor, especially horizontally?
3. What would be the best resolution to set the monitor?

The monitor's resolution is 1366 x 768 . Normally the Mac OS will give choices and recommend the resolution but pick 1366 x 768 from the list.

Spread image across two pages and print the full pages

Hi there,
Im having a bit of trouble with InDesign CS3.
I want to place an image across two facing pages but can't seem to make it go further than one page.
Also I want to figure out how to print full pages, currently I am only able to print what is contained in the pruple bounding box on the page, any part of the image outwith this is cropped off leaving a white border on the page - this isn't an issue for all but my title page and this two page image I require.
Any tips.

I don't understand the inability to place an image that spans two pages (not that I necessarily think this is a good thing to do under most circumstances, but that's a different discussion). Can you see both pages in the same spread? How about providing some details about what you are doing, and maybe a screen shot showing what's happening. Perhaps you're using a frame on the master page?
The second part sounds like a printer issue, but that's hard to know without knowing what your "purple" guides (presumably the page margins) are set to. Most printers are not able to print to the edge of the sheet of paper, regardless of what might be included on the page, so you get a white border that will vary in size depending on the printer model. Generally speaking, to print a bleed you must extend the items beyond the page edge (to insure there is no white edge left fom misaligment in the cutter) and print on a larger sheet, then trim to finished size.

How do you Spread an Image across multiple pages and print?

I'm trying to create a large poster to be put on a bulletin board. I've mangaed to spread the image across multiple pages but I can't figure how to be able to print the pages have the edges line up successfully after cropping. I've been playing with the bleed settings but can't figure it out. Here a shot of what im working with:

The problem i'm having, under the pages i'm seeing four of the layout files from my Web Apps that were created. They weren't there the other day and can't workout how to make them go away again, don't really want the client to see the layout pages or to accidentally delete them.
Also how to i edit the print view? the client would like me to style the print view but not having much luck with the old way <link href="../../stylesheets/print.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="print.css"/>

Print view is gone in BC now since you would set that up with media queries in your CSS etc. Its not needed.
In terms of those folders I think I mentioned to you in another thread - You need to contact BC support. You have somehow made a simialr folder name and caused BC to open view the folders and have web apps in that folder. BC will need to take a look at that and sort it our for you.

I have new Photosmart 6510 Model B211A How do I reduce/enlarge patterns and print them.

I can enlarge a pattern from my saved scan but when I try to print it. It prints the original image not the enlarged image which is showing.

What operating system are you using ?
Here is a link to a post that solved this problem for someone else.
If you are using Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) OS you will need to install the critical update provided in the link.
Otherwise, here are the steps ShlomiL listed.
Now change the settings as following:
1. Open the HP Utility and select your device.
2. From Scan Settings open the "Scan to Computer".
3. Click the "Scan Tasks" tab.
4. Select the Scan Shortcut used to scan, then click Edit.
5. In the section of Scan from an HP Device click on the blue triangle to enlarge the menu.
6. From the enlarged menu now open the drop-down menu next to Crop To and set as None.
7. Click OK and try scanning.

Excel with hyperlinks, multiple pages, and print titles

I have two large excel files that have hyperlinks to the web. In standard page size, each will have multiple pages. Because it is continuous information, Print Titles are required at both the top rows and left columns. However, along with having to shut off Set Print Area, it seems I must also shut off Print Titles in order for Acrobat to maintain the links. The first problem isn't really a problem. Shutting off print titles, however, makes the document useless to readers. Does anyone have a workaround? The only thing that occurred to me is to manually split the pages (they could be linked to a master sheet so I still have a continuous master) and repeat the print title rows, but that seems like a lot of extra work since Excel isn't fond of linking large sections all at once.

I resolved this myself after much experimentation.
(1) Clear Print Area
(2) Remove values from Print Titles.
(3) Manually insert rows and columns that need to be repeated on each page. You can do this as links if you want to.
(4) If your spreadsheet needs lines all around the borders, make sure you one have one empty row and column on all four sides. Without this, you may lose some of the bordering lines.
(5) Hide ALL other unused rows and columns that you do not want to show. This effectively functions as a Set Print Area.
(6) Make the PDF.
(7) If necessary for further manipulation of the worksheet, hide the extra inserted rows and columns (Step 3) as you work with the worksheet and unhide them before publishing.

New owner here. How can I select specific pages of a document found on line and print just those pages. What I see is the ability to select only 1 page at a time and print that one selected page only. Thanks much.

Just change the range as illustrated below. If you don't see that, click the Show Details button.

Why does my Pages Brochure print all washed out?

When I print my Pages Photo Brochure the colors are all washed out. I edit my photos in Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 and they print out with good color and resolution from PE10. Is there a color manager for Pages? I'm exporting my document as a PDF but even if I just drop a photo on a Pages blank page and print, its still washed out. The screen view looks great but print quality is bad. Adobe says its not their problem. I'm most appreciative of any help from the forum. I'm a new MAC user. Thanks in advance :-)Judy

Not sure I understand the question, "what is your screen"?
I have always "saved for the web" since I'm a Real Estate Photographer and MLS Web Viewing is important. I save at 300dpi. It worked ok for print when I was using MS Publisher to create my documents. My print colors were vibrant with good resolution.
When I print aphoto dierectly from PE10, it looks great, but the same Photo printed from Pages is faded and washed out.
In PE10 I have my color profile set to Adobe RGB. In one forum I read that Elements should be set to determine color instead of the Printer. It seems as though the PE10 color profile isn't available to Pages.
Perhaps PE10 doesn't save the color profile in the photograph?
How should the Photoshop Elements Profile be set up to work best with Pages so that my photos will be optimized when I print from Pages?
I continue to use PE10 because I shoot with a wide angle lens and need to be able to correct vertical distortions.

Hi, I uses acrobat 9 pro, when try to crop a page and print using Adobe Pdf convertor printer it craets a new pdf
But this pdf's crop box, trim box, art box and bleed box is in diifffernt postion
But i do same process in acrobat 7, it get all page boxes in same position
any sollution on my mail [email protected] highly appreciated

Why has bingbar been took off it had my home page and few other things I used

I had the Bingbar add on and it has disappeared??? It had shortcuts like my home page and print, copy and a few others please help

Unable to see back page in print preview

Hi Experts,
My requirement is to print terms and conditions on the back side of the page.
So i have created two pages 1.First and 2.Back. On pages window , in standard attributes,I declared 'First' in Page and 'Back' in Next page.And print mode i had set to 'D'-Duplex.While seeingthe print preview of the invoice i am giving the logical destination as 'LOCL'.
I think this is the standard procedure we follow to print anything on the back side of the page.But i am not getting the back page in the print preview.
Could anyone help me out if there is anything else that i have to do to solve this issue.

I have worked in this scenario,,
In print preview you are unavble to see back page, in print preview it seems as front page onlu, if you give print, in print out your able to see back page.
