Ensure payment is received before creating sales order
Hi
For some customers we want to ensure that payment is received in advance. i.e., before the sales order is created.
Unless the payment is entered in SAP, system should not allow the users to either create sales order or delivery or billing document.
What should be the best SAP process for this ??
thanks and regards
Dear Sagar,
You can configure Credit Management for this.
FD32 is the T-Code to give limits to Customers. You can give Re.1 limit for the Customers you want advance payment.
This would ensure that useless advance payment is received & posted in FI (Customer Ledger) the systgem will not allow to create Sales Order.
You can configure Simple Credit Management for this:
IMG - Sales and Distribution - Basic Functions - Credit Management/Risk Management - Credit Management - Assign Sales Documents And Delivery Documents - Credit limit check for order types -
Here assign "B" (Run simple redit limit check and error message) to your required Sales Order types.
Now go to T-Code FD32 - Inset Customer Code & Credit Control Area & put tick mark in Status check box. Put required Credit Limit (Re. 1) & save.
This would ensure that no Sales Orders are not created for the Customers you have set the limits unless advance payment is posted in accounts.
Hope this helps...
Give points if useful..
Thanks,
Jignesh Mehta

Advance payment before creating sales order
Hi,
Customer pays advance (Rs.100/- to Rs. 1000000/-)i.e he deposits the amount in bank & shows the receipt. Then sales order is created but order value should not exceed this deposited amount.
How to go about.Dear Lakshmipathi
Yes i have gone through the Down Payment process.
But the customer directly deposit the amount in bank account using the bank slips which has a unique number(Pay-in-slip Number) which has been allocated to our client by the bank. The client want to create the sales order against this Pay-in-slip Number so that the value in order will not exceed the amount deposited.
I also tried the Value contract concept but its very cumbersome for the amount less than 1000
[One thing Mr.Lakshmipathi our client is a government organisation & they have made mandatory to their customer to deposit the amount irrespective to the value which ranges above 100]

Pricing will be carried basing on the pricing
procedure.
Case1: Prices will be carried out automatically if
necessary condition records are maintained for the
condition type.
For this you can go to Sales Order-> Item Conditions
In the screen you can click on command button Analysis,
which gives you the list of condition types associated
to the pricing procedure. By clicking on the condition
type you can know the action that has taken place.
Case2: Manually forcing prices for Items.
To do this, you have to populate ORDER_CONDITIONS_IN &
ORDER_CONDITIONS_INX. Also note to identify the item
numbers, you manually pass the item number for each item
in the sales order, use the same item number for
populating conditions.
Parameters required:
ORDER_CONDITIONS_IN:
ITM_NUMBER, COND_TYPE, COND_VALUE, CURRENCY
ORDER_CONDITIONS_INX:
ITM_NUMBER, COND_TYPE, UPDATEFLAG, COND_VALUE,CURRENCY.
Hope the above info helps you. Do revert back if you
need more info.

Create sales order with error "Item has no open quantity"
Dear all,
When I create sales order, an error pop up says: Item has no open quantity.
The F1 help says:
"Procedure
If you want the item to receive a confirmed quantity after all which can be delivered later, you should de-activate the fix quantity indicator."
But where can I find the indicator? I do not know how to open the item quantity.
ThanksHi,
Please check in IMG>SD>Basic Function-->Avaliability check and TOR >Avaliability check>Avaliability check with ATP Logic-->Default settings.
remove the check mark before particular sales area for Fixed date and quatity.
Hope this would help you.
Please reward points if helpful.

Function module to add record into incompletion log of creating sale order
Hi SD Experts,
Do you know any function module / class to add record a into incompletion log procedure of creating / changing sale order process? We can do it through configuration OVA2 but I need to add more condition before adding to this table.
Thanks,
DuyHi,
Refer to The SDN Post : [user exit to update the incompletion log in sales order for pricing error |Re: user exit to update the incompletion log in sales order for pricing error].
Limitation : While creating Sales order, this works only for document type with external number range as the code required for updating XVBUV require Sales Order Number.

Updating price in already created sales order
Hi all,
I have an issue. When we create sales order, system will display current date pricing on sales order, for example total value of sales order is 9000. Now before delivery, prices change and we have to manually update price on sales order individually. Is there any report available that can update price of all already created sales orders instead of going on sales order and update one by one.
Please respond.
Best Regards,
AI.Hello,
You can update the pricing for all the created orders at a time in VA05 .
Goto Transaction code VA05 and give all the sales orders and then in the MENU click on
EDIT->MASS CHANGE>NEW PRICING
And update the New pricing, then will carry out new pricing for all the sales orders at a time.
OR,
There is also one function module SD_BULK_CHANGE , Create your own Query in SQV1 and make changes.
Hope it will resolve , Please revert if you need further details

Error while creating sales order
while creating sales order for a particular plant there is error coming
NO NUMBER RANGE FOR DOC TYPE ZOS1VXBAK-AUARTSILD
PLANTXVBAK-VKBUR.
Intailly I have check the no series we have internal no series for all plant, the
number series which start 195000001, only one plant the giving the above error, rest all plant it is as applicable above series.
kindly guide me for the same.Hi Sanjay
This is regarding number ranges defining and assigning tips which you can follow as below:
Whenever there is a new Sales Org being created, you will be required to maintain Number Ranges for Sales Documents which are allowed for your New Sales Area.
Number Ranges can be maintained Internally by the system, however it can be maintained externally also if you customize it accordingly.
In Standard SAP the Transaction code for Maintaiing Number ranges externally is VN01.
Defining - The same can be reached through in IMG as : Sales & Distribution>Sales>Sales Document Header-->Define Number Ranges for Sales Documents.
Here you provide the system a specific Number range as follows:
Number range Key Start Number range End Number Range+Current Number
For Example: If you want to propose the following Number Range
*1 9000076000 9000076999 0
The Current Number field will be kept zero as you are proposing new number range and no sales documents have been created on it , Obviously..
*1 is a Unique Two digit Alphanumeric Key, while proposing your key, you should ensure that it should not be there in the system as existing.
If you propose a key that is there in the system or if the Number Range (Start and End Series) is there in the system already, the system will throw a message that Interval already already exists. So choose a key that is unique, and which is not there in the system.
Here , by making this , you are assigning a Key to a Number Range Series.
All the symbols can be used along with numbers from 0 to 9 and Alphabets from A to Z and in any order. For example: !1, ^A, BB,Z*,M2.........
Assigning - In Assigning, you assign the particular Sales Document to the Number Range you have already proposed as above.
The Assigning Part is done as follows:
The Two digit Alpha Numeric Key is maintained or Assigned to the respective Sales Document type in V0V8.
This can also be reached in IMG by:
Sales & Distribution>Sales>Sales Document Header-->Define Sales Document Types
Locate the particular Sales Doc Type, and double click on it to display it configuration. Here you put the Two Digit Number key in the Field- "Number range External Assignment"
Besides this:
If a new Shipping Point is created then Delivery Number ranges are required to be maintained.
Similarly,
If a new Plant is created then Billing Number Ranges are required to be maintained.

Error while creating sales order with ref to contract
while creating sales order, with refernce to contract system is giving a message
Configuration not possible for material : Reason 3 --> Help
Message no. V1360
and the message is as follwed can any one explain
Diagnosis
This may have been caused by one of the following:
1. The configuration profile for the material allows or requires the bill of materials to be exploded during order processing. However, a plant has not been specified in the item.
2. The configuration profile of the material allows or requires the bill of materials to be exploded during order processing, but the order quantity in the item must be greater than 0.
3. A configuration profile has not been maintained
or
A configuration is not permitted for the material
or
4. The configuration profile of the material allows or requires the bill ofmaterials to be exploded during order processing. However, the system could not determine a date because important data is missing from the item (see incompletion log).Hi
I think you have both Variant configuration and BOM.
Pls ensure the following.
1. BOM masterdata is maintained for the variants
2. Variant configuration is configured correctly
Configuration profile is created for the material
Knowledge base object and run time version are available
3. Maintain materials as not relevant for delivery or dont give delivery quantity as 0
Once you are sure that these are in proper shape, you can start creating order. The problem wont come.

PL/SQL API for Creating Sales Order
Hi,
I am new to Oracle SOA 11g.
I have done the Deleting Sales Order using PL/SQL API ( Oracle Apps Adapter ) [ API Name: OE_ORDER_PUB.DELETE_ORDER ] in SOA BPEL. While executing the BPEL, it is correctly deleting Sales Order in E Business Suite which is created in EBS User Interface. I don't face any problem while deleting the sales order.
Now, in same way, I have to create a new Sales Order using PL/SQL API in SOA-BPEL. I don't find any API's related to creating Sales Order in Order Management Suite (OM_PF) -->Order Management (ONT) --> Sales Order (ONT_SALES_ORDER) --> PL/SQL --> Process Order API (OE_ORDER_PUB) in Module Browser.
Please tell me which PL/SQL API to use to create new Sales Order in BPEL.
Thanks,

Creating sales order based on store numbers in IS retail
Hi ,
I want create a sales order based on the PO received from the customer in the IS Retail system. The purchase order will be sent in a EDI file.
a single line item in the PO will have multiple store locations where we need to ship materials. for example.
Let us take an example
PO will have an item "Shampoo" quantity - 1000, this 1000 has to be shipped to diffrenet stores like 0001 - 100, 0002 - 100 , 003 - 200 etc. Based on this PO we need to create a sales order.
Is there any way we can handle in SAP IS retail to create sales order & save the customer store number in the sales order for that item
With Regards
K.VaradharajanHi Varadarajan,
For one Sales Order only one Sold to Party and one Ship to Party are possible as they are header data.
You can have individual Sales Order for each outlet and one delivery can be made for several Sales Order for single Ship to Party.
Hope this clarifies you.

How to block the material qty to 1 while creating sales order (VA01)?
Hi All,
Scenario : We have 20 Materials each with 100 qty in Plant. In the sales order we should have all the 20 materials with qty one. The sales order should throw an error if the material qty is more than 1 and should not allow to create a sales order.
so is there any transaction code where we can block the entire material qty to 1 from the same plant while creating sales order?
Note: We should not set in MM01 "Minimum order qty". Assume we have 100 material in plant we can't set for each material one by one "minimum order qty".Instead of that is there any option to set the whole material qty to 1 as minimum while creating sales order?
Kindly guide me how to proceed.
Thanks,
RenjithIf you have access to idoc before calling the processing Function module, Adding header text segments E1EDKT1 and E1EDKT2 to the idoc will create the header text.
