Ensuring At Least Once pattern in OSB MQ transport

I've constructed a flow where proxy service is built in MQ transport and business services is built in MQ/JMS/HTTP transport. I'm routing the message to different Business Service depending on the content of the Request Message. In this scenario how can I ensure At Least Once delivery in OSB.
Do I need to set any specific properties in Proxy Service Configuration.
If I set QualityOfService action in message flow will it help me ensure At Least Once delivery. What value should be chosen to ensure this.
Need expert opinion urgently. Please help.
Thanks & Regards
Sagnik Sarkar

At Least Once QoS is no longer supported. It looks like you need guaranteed delivery. Guaranteed delivery also depends on both inbound and outbound transport protocols and whether they are transactional or not. For supported scenarios guaranteed delivery can be achieved by using QoS=Exactly Once as routing option in your Publish/Route actions.
In your specific use case inbound transport is MQ which supports transactions as long as you use XA connections.
You have three outbound transports, MQ, JMS and HTTP. Out of these, MQ and JMS supports transactions as long as you use XA connections.
HTTP is not a transactional transport so there may be issues but if only guaranteed delivery is concerned, you can easily overcome it by ensuring that if HTTP business service returns an error than you roll back the original inbound MQ transaction so message can be retried from MQ.
What you can not achieve with HTTP is ensuring a global transaction, i.e. for ex. within the HTTP external service you were writing to a DB, you can not make this DB call a part of OSB original transaction. Similarly, because of the same reason it might happen that the HTTP external service had an error in any logic after the said DB call and the error is returned to OSB. In this case OSB will roll back the original MQ transaction depending on how you have implemented error handling even though the transaction in that external DB will be committed(or not depending on error handling in this target HTTP service)

  • Since installing Maverick my Mac Pro freezes at least once a day, any advice?.

Since installing OS Maverick my Mac Pro is freezing at least once a day. I can not access 'Force Quit' via shortcut and have to force a shutdown. This has occured when using Firefox, so i tried Safari and Chrome, freezes using all three. It has happened while use software as well eg, Photoshop and Word.
I have installed and run AVG Anti Virus and done a full system check to ensure that there was no virus etc.... all was clear.
I am assuming that it is a bug within Maverick as i experienced none of these problems prior to its installation.
Is anyone else experiencing these issues and does anyone have any advice on prevention?

Firstly, uninstall any anti-malware software. It isn't needed and could cause your problem. Also, avoid using Chrome which can also cause problems. Never use more than one browser at a time. Using three is asking for disaster.
I've been using Mavericks on all my computers and have had no problems, so what you describe is unlikely to be a bug. Start by uninstalling the AV software using their uninstaller. Disconnect all third-party peripherals. Then try the following:
    Fixing a Mavericks Installation Problem
How to manage a failed OS X Mavericks installation | MacFixIt - CNET Reviews.
    Try these in order:
    1. a. Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
        b. Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
    2. Restart the computer in Safe Mode, then restart again, normally. If this doesn't help, then:
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the
COMMAND and R keys until the Utilities menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and
after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears.
Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    3. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
    4. Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks: Reboot from the Recovery HD. Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks from the Utilities menu, and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

In Adobe Bridge, when I try to open my camera raws, I get a pop up stating"Bridges parent application is not active.  Bridge requires that a qualifying product has been launced at least once to enable this feature."  What the heck?  I have a PC and haven't had problems before.. Have you opened Photoshop or any other Adobe app that Bridge works with?  You need to do this if you've upgraded PS or just signed up for CC.

  • Jabber for Windows 9.1(3) - All network connections fail at least once a day

    Hi,
We have Jabber for Windows 9.1(3) running, with the MSI 3.2 installed as well.
At least once a day my computer stops making network connections (Outlook gets disconnected, Internet Explorer cannot connect to Google, Chrome also fails). When I shut down and restart Jabber all network IO resumes.
    Has anyone seen this behavior?
I've made two problem reports for this. Is anyone interested?
    Regards,
    Erik Tamminga
PS. Server side we're running all 9.1 versions.

We had the same issue and logged a TAC case, and the final result was to uninstall media services as mentioned above. Obviously now you no longer have desk phone video.
The new 9.2 beta has a new media service version, and the rollout of the new 9.2 client is mid march I believe, so hopefully this rectifies the problems, because if it doesn't I think this would not be a good thing for Jabber as a product unfortunately.
    Cheers

  • Time doesn't update periodically, links don't open in emails, turning off and on at least once a day...any ideas why???

I'm having to turn off and on my iPhone at least once a day to update time, and/or to receive texts that are not coming through when they should've gone through.  Also, why don't the links open when i click on them from my email?  Also, phone has to reconnect to wifi every time I unlock it.  Any recommendations???

First thing to try is a reboot of your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
This is something that often cures strange problems like yours. I hope it works for you.

I think you mean it's crashing or quitting unexpectedly.
Most likely due to third party Safari add ons. Follow the instructions for troubleshooting here > Safari: Unsupported third-party add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues
If you can't resolve the issue, post a crash report so we can try and help you get Safari going again.
If Safari has just crashed, press the Report button on the CrashReporter dialog box to view the crash  information.
Copy/paste the entire contents of the Crash Reporter window into your reply. If the crash report dialog does not appear or the crash is hard to reproduce, crash logs can be retrieved from the ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter> folder.

  • 40+ processes running with no apps open; automatic reboot at least once a day post 4.4.2 update. What is going on?

Ever since I went through the update process for my Galaxy S4 to Kit Kat, 4.4.2, my phone is constantly running 40+ invisible processes that eat up most of the 2GB of ram. Needless to say, this is also causing my battery to drain 3 times faster or more than it used to prior to the update. I have Powersaving Mode turned on, constantly clear RAM and always double check to make sure I am not accidentally leaving any apps open. Additionally, my phone reboots itself at least once per day. NONE of this occurred before the 4.4.2 update. I am hoping someone here or from Verizon can possibly shed some light on the matter.

        Hello CharlesDW,
Help is just a posting away! Let's get your device working properly. May I ask have you completed a reset after the update? I suggest this to resolve a the initial issues with the update. Here's a link on how to do so. As always, we suggest backing up your info before the factory reset.

  • My new at Christmas iPad air requires a reboot at least once a day sometimes more. Is this normal?

My new iPad air requires a reboot at least once a day, sometimes more . Is this normal?

That type of error could indicate a WiFi network problem. That type of error can usually be gotten around by simply turning off/on WiFi in the Control Panel or Settings. There may or may not be any problem with your iPad Air. It won't hurt to have it checked out. You could also test your iPad on some other WiFi networks to see if it has any problems there. If it doesn't you might want to take a closer look at your network.

  • My iphone 4 started making a sound like "boing" with a vibration/ wobbly sound.  It does it at least once a day.  I've reset my phone, used icloud to restore, and it made the sound again upon startup.  Help!  This is so annoying.

My iphone 4 started making a sound like a "boing" with a vibration/ wobbly sound.  It does this at least once a day.  It started about a month ago.  Anyone got any ideas?

Mine does this also, seemingly randomly several times throughout the day.  I do not have this sound as any of my alerts and it does not seem to denote anything like a message, reminder, etc.  I do have "Trapster" on my phone and I went in and tweaked the settings there.  Will repost if that has any efect.

i just got my macbook air, less then a week ago,  and at least once a day it has frozen and ive had to restart it is there a way to fix that?

If the MBA is within 14 days of the purchase date from an Apple sore, you may return it for a refund or an exchange.
Regarding the specific problem you are facing, can you provide more details, such as the application that you were using and exactly what the response was.
    Ciao.

My wifi goes down at least once a day and I have to unplug the time capsule and reboot it and then it works fine.  Any idea why this is happening/what I can do to fix it?

I was having this problem while still using Mavericks -- it started after a Mavericks update last spring.  During the initial Yosemite beta runs over the summer, it seemed to be fixed, but after the official launch in October, I had all sorts of problems keeping connected.  Its gotten a little better, but still happens to at least one of my devices every day.  Weird that we still cannot figure out why the connection keeps dropping on some devices, but not others, and then the next day, one of the devices that didn't disconnect the previous day will disconnect, but the ones that did disconnect, stay connected.  It's just sloppy, poorly written software for technology that isn't working the way it should.  If you turn off Continuity and Handoff on all your devices, you will probably see that everything stays connected.  With those turned off on all devices, TC stayed connected to everything for over a month.  The day I turned Continuity back on, all the problems started again.  It had something to do with the bluetooth version being used, the wifi routine, and Apple's AirPlay technology not quite getting along with each other.

  • Yosemite hangs at least once a day

Yosemite is now hanging at least once per day. This AM on Safari, yesterday on Hearts+, day before on McSolitaire.
    Any suggestions

Without a doubt, one of the worst OS's Apple has turned out for me in my 23 years of Apple. It is buggy as can be even with turning it out as they did in pre-release. Safari hangs all the time for no reason. Tried every fix out there and still comes back. Unfortunate....for those who expected a little more from a company who touts itself so highly.

  • I've installed Version 5, but at least once a day I keep getting notices to update to Version 3.1.11. Why? How can I stop these?

I installed Version 4, and then Version 5, and now at least once a day I get a notice to update to Version 3.1.11. I get this on my office computer and also at home. Why is this happening and how can I stop it?

I had to wait until it happened again, but it finally did, and I solved the problem. Boy was I stupid! It wasn't a plugin, it was ''Thunderbird'' 3.1.11. And I never noticed! Thank you all

Firefox 3.6.4 and 3.6.6 use a process called, "plugin-container.exe" which was using up most of my CPU when I opened up multiple tabs that contained Adobe Flash files, and caused Firefox to lock up.
My solution was to use Firefox 3.5.10 which you can get from the Mozilla website at [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html]
I am using Adobe Flash 10.1.53.64 without any problem in this version of Firefox. Check the release notes, I believe it contains all the latest security fixes in "Firefox 3.6.4".
Hopefully, they will fix Firefox 3.6 in the next version (e.g. Firefox 3.6.7), until then you should probably use "Firefox 3.5.10".

  • Have to reboot router at least once a day otherwise it slows down

Over the last few days my internet speeds drop to a crawl at least once a day until I reboot the router. It slows down to 100kb or so. One I reboot the router it hits back to 50mb.
Is there setting in the router to fix this or do I just have a bad router?

Hard to say with certainty but if it resolves itself for the time being after every time you reset it then yeah, you should contact support and ask that they send you a replacement router.
Do be prepared to do some basic troubleshooting with them over the phone though.
