I uninstalled the scanner and installed the software again. Now recognized as the G2410 scanner and works differently. The installation disk is for scanjet 2400 but the PC sees it as G2410. How do I reset the 2400? I am in Italy. Thank you.

Could you be a little more specific on the issue? The screen shot would be extremely helpful. Usually these errors need to be addressed inside HP Solution Center. If you accept the message inside of Solution Center it should resolve your issue.

  • I am having a big problem with entering search terms in Google

Here is the problem. I enter several search terms and do a search. So far, so good.
After I am finished clicking on one or more links I return to the Google search page to do a new search.
Since most of the words are the same, except the last one or two, I backspace over the old words and start entering the new ones.
Then very strange things happen much of the time.
    1. It may restore the old words (the ones I already backspaced over and erased) and put my new words behind the old ones.
    2. It may just restore the old words, that had been backspaced over, completely removing the new words I had just typed in.
Any ideas why this keeps happening? Is it Google or Firefox causing the problem?
It seems very strange that words that had been backspaced over (erased) magically reappear as if I hadn't removed them.
    Thank you.

    What is the problem?
    Does send work?
    Receive?
    Error messages?
Does the account work on other devices?
DId it ever work on an iOS device?
Did yo Google for the setting to use?
DId you delete the account on the iPod and tried again?

  • Google search does not search after entering search term and pressing enter.

When I type a search term into Google and then hit Enter, the page is inert. It does not go to search results. Or if I type a search term and select the Instant search suggested term and hit Enter, the search results page does not appear. If I go into Google settings and turn off Instant, then the Google Search works, but it is a waste of time to always have to turn off Google Instant. There is some conflict between Firefox and Google Instant because there is no problem using Google Instant in Internet Explorer.

  • Display list of search terms typed in a KM Search Iview.

    Dear Friends,
I have a KM Search Iview that returns a long list of items on entering "Search terms" in the input field in a KM Search iview. Now i need to generate a report on the most frequently entered Search terms and display the same.Would like to know if there is any configuration or any procedure for implementing the same. Does Trex store all the keywords in the backend and is there any way to retrieve those??

    Hi,
in an up-to-date version of TREX you have to change TREXIndexServer.ini:
    [statistics]
    trace = on
    index = _trex:statistics
    log_all
    Restart TREX.
Within this index "_trex:statistics" all the index usage data will be stored.
You can use the text mining function for retrieving your desired information.
    Launch the TREX Admin-Tool.
    Goto Index: Mining.
    Choose the index "_trex:statistics".
Open Query Editor by using button u201EBuild Queryu201C
In Query Editor enter query: function=search
    Use button u201EOKu201C
Mark u201Eindexu201C and u201Equeryu201C from attribute list
    Use button u201EShow Tableu201C
    Use button u201EGet Datau201C
    That's all.
    Best regards

  • Thunderbird: Search term entered is auto-corrected, gives too many (wrong) results

Trying to find email messages from Lowe's Home Improvement (lowes.com), entered "lowes" (with or without quotes) in the search field, which returned 1200+ emails containing the word "low" (without the quotes). There doesn't seem to be a way to force search to use the precise spelling, and not incorrectly auto-correct my entry.
    Am I missing something?

Using the Quick Filter Toolbar was an improvement, but I still get results (92 of them) that aren't properly filtered. Specifically, when I enter '''lowes ''' (with a space following the '''s''') I get all instances of '''lowest'''. Putting a space at the end of the search term should limit the results to instances where the word is, or ends with, "lowes", as the space should indicate the end of that word in the search term.
I'd understand if the search tools still need some refinement, but if Thunderbird search is actually designed to ignore or modify specific search terms in this matter, then we have a problem...

  • When using Google Toolbar, and I begin entering a search term, several complete choices appear, but when I click on one of them, autocomplete does not fill in the search box.

Why does the complete suggested search term not appear in the search box when I click on it?

  • Map crashes when entering a search term

Map repeatedly crashed when I kept typing in "T" - before I could put the whole search term in "Target".
Any ideas. i thought it related to an address book entry - but not so.

I finally bit the bullet and decided enough was enough. This bug has basically rendered Maps useless on my iPad. I read the posts about the solution to set up the iPad as a new device rather than setting it from some other back up. I have tons of information in the various apps I have so losing my saved data is not at all reasonable. Here is what I did:
First, *I manually backed up my iPad* (in iTunes, right-click the iPad in the list on the left and select "Backup"). I realize most iPads back up on each sync, but I wanted to be sure I had the MOST up-to-date backup possible.
Second, *I did a software restore on the iPad* from the summary page of the iPad (in iTunes, next to software update checker). This took a while as it had to download the iPhone OS 3.2 installer. It finally finished.
Third, iTunes saw the device and started the walk through on setting up the device. The first question it asked was whether I wanted to set it up as new Device or restore a backup. *I chose New Device*. When it got done, it wanted to sync everything under the sun to the iPad. I went through and told it to sync nothing, thus effectively leaving it untouched.
Fourth, *I used the Maps App and verified that this did infact fix the searching bug.* I was able to use every key in the search field and perform all manner of searching without the Maps App crashing. Pleased was I.
Last, *I decided to then restore* (again by right-clicking the iPad in the devices list) from my backup. I thought, "What the ****, it's worth a try." At this point, restoring the backup in a best-case scenario would put all my vital data back on the iPad and still leave Maps App working. In a worst-case scenario, I would be where I had started--all my stuff on the iPad, but a crashing Maps App. After a long wait for it to restore my data and sync my media, I was back to a useable iPad. I nervously opened Maps App and TA-DA! I could still search! Every key worked, Maps did not crash, and all my data was right where it belonged.
This is a very strange bug in Maps. I still hold to my previous assertion that the auto-fill function of the search text field in the app is trying to pull from something, i.e. Contacts, Mail, etc, and in doing so is pulling something it doesn't like and then it crashes.
I realize this is not a new fix, but I thought the detailed walk through would help some people.

  • Duplicate check on search term for BP creation in CRM

    HI,
I want to do a duplicate check on search term for BP creation in CRM.
i found one BADI ADDRESS_SEARCH. But the method address_search is not getting called.
Is there any other BADI available? how can I handle this issue?

    hello,
BP is BDT (Business Data toolset) enabled (you can check it by adding break point in FM BUS_PBO and executing BP transaction). You can add your check directly to standard view (the check will be executed each time when user pushes enter) or you could add you check to appropriate action (during saving etc.) there are number of actions which you could use it depends on your requirements. You can find a lot of info about BDT (if you are not familiar) in Wiki.

  • BAPI to search for customer in CRM based on search terms

    Hi,
Could anyone please tell me if there is a function module in CRM to search for BP's based on search terms. ( Just as we could enter '*' in search terms in transaction BP and get a list of customers ).
    Thanks in advance,
    Sahil

    Hi Sahil,
You can make use of BAPI_BUPA_SEARCH.
In the import parameter CENTRALDATA you can pass the
    search terms.

  • "Search Term" fields in SU01

    Hi experts,
Issue concerns my CRM 6.0 back end system. Here, I have a requirement to pull out a list of all users created without any value in field "Search Term 1"  under Adress tabI found an old thread from some years back which says this field is not part of any user tables as it fell under address management back then:
    SU01 Search Terms
Does anyone have knowledge on how I can run this query? SUIM, change history etc has no option to do a user search on this field. I checked out most of the user tables (USR*) and none of them also have this field "Search term 1" in them.
Also for some users on the same system this field is not visible alltogether (No header in SU01 --> Address which shows "Search terms" at all).
I am a little confused. Any help would be great....
    Edited by: Soumya-Thomas on Mar 3, 2011 9:56 AM

    Hi Julius,
Just noticed your answer to my thread, this is what I did:
Table ADRP - got a list of all users (on field PERNR) with field value Search term1 (SORT1) against eahc user.
Table USR21 - mapped the above PERNR value to user name here.
Thus got a list of all usernames + Search Term1 (SORT1).
Also, i didnt really use authority checks against the field Search Term.. may be it is used soemwhere, but i didnt get into that; since my mission was only to make sure that a set of users (as per our policy) were all created with specific reasons entered in "SU01 --> Search Term1" during user creation. For me it was a user master data updation task.

  • CRM 5.0 - IC WebClient - BP Search Term 1 - Method

    Hi Gurus
Does anyone know of a SAP Standard Method to retrieve Search Term 1 for the Business Partner (Customer). I want to display the value in the Identify Account View
    Thanks
    Panduranga

Here Are the steps which I did and tested the new QUERY in transcation GENIL_BOL_BROWSER, it is working fine. I am yet to change BSP level.
I followed the instructions in the IMG(CRM> CRM Cross applicationComponents>GenIL > Component Specific> Extend Object model for business partner) to extend the search.
To implement your own search, for example, new search parameters, or to filter the search results by your own criteria:
    1. Create a new structure ZCRMST_HEADER_SEARCH_BUIL   as copy of CRMST_HEADER_SEARCH_BUIL and add the new fields to the new structure.
    2. In Object Definition, define a name(ZBuilHeaderSearch) for the new search query and assign the new structure(ZCRMST_HEADER_SEARCH_BUIL) name to the new object, also enter ROOT object "BuilHeader".
    3. Create a class ZCL_BUIL_HEADER as subclass of CL_BUIL_HEADER.
    4. in IMG again assign this class to the external object name.
    5. Implement GET_RESULT_TABLE method in ZCL_BUIL_HEADER class with the following extra code apart from existing code in the super class.
      Data:   lv_sort1  type bu_sort1,
              lv_sort2  type bu_sort2.
      lv_sort1 = ls_header_search-search1.
      lv_sort2 = ls_header_search-search2.
pass above two parameters to 'TREX_BUPA_SEARCH' Function module which is present in the GET_RESULE_TABLE method.
    6. Test your query in the GENIL_BOL_BROWSER.
    I am getting correct result.

  • Error when submitting a search term

    Hi,
    I use SAP EP6 SP6 together KM SP6 and WebAS 6.40 and TREX 6.01.

Also I'm not really sure if the search ever worked, since I tried it the first time to test if my repository manager content is indexed and found in the portal's search.
But when looking at the stack trace it seems to me that only standard rendering and configuration components belonging to the search iView are involved.
Does anyone have an idea where that error comes from and what might be done to get it working?
    Thanks for any hint!
    Regards
    Torsten

    Hi Torsten,
this seems to be a real standard problem. Could you open an OSS to this error and put the Java StackTrace on it. This would be very helpful.
    Thanks and regards,

  • Help will not search for search term

CS6, Windows XP. When accessing online help for CS6 applications, InDesign for example, InDesign Help / Help and Tutorials screen comes up. There is a box, Adobe Community Help with space for a search term and magnifying glass icon and the icon of the application for which I want help.  When I type in the search term and click on the magnifying glass or hit Enter,  nothing happens. Help does not search for term in question. What am I missing?

  • Website search term code

I have a website with a search field that uses some basic sql
    to search the
    web database.
For marketing purposes and to understand our customer better,
    we want to
learn what our customers are searching for on our website.
Whats the best way do you think to achieve this?
I could write each and every search term into a database?
    (cumbersome and
database table would grow out of control)
    OR
I could put the search term and pass it as a url variable in
    the url
string. Then i could view google analytics and view the more
    popular url
    strings. eg: www.xxxx.com/search.cfm?search=hard hats (bit
    clunky)
Can anyone suggest a better way of doing this?

    why not use a database?
handling huge amounts of data is what they're for , right?
you could keep it cleaner by going relational - just a
    thought
when somebody enters a search, check the 'search terms'
    table... if it
does not already exist, insert it.
then, add a record to the 'searches run' table, with the ID
    of the term
and the date, whatever other info you want.
a simple query can pull all terms and a count of searches run
    for that
term's ID, or a list of dates, whatever... i think that's how
    I'd
approach it, if nothing better turns up...
