Entering comment into multiple tracks

Is there a way to enter a comment into the comment field on multiple highlighted tracks, or does it have to be done individually? For example, a classical guitar CD is automatically entered into the classical genre. I would like to enter "guitar" into the comment field for all the tracks on that CD.

Yes. Just select all the tracks in iTunes and go to Get Info. Enter the info in the comment window and will apply it to all the tracks.

  • Breaking up audiobooks into multiple tracks

I bought an audiobook from itunes that came as only 5 tracks. The book is 11 hours long and it would be really nice to be able to start closer to where I left off on my ipod. does anyone know how to edit mp4s to break them into multiple tracks?

Is it possible to have each field separated by a comma? Space
delimiters won't work since not all cities & states are one
word (ie. New York, New York) however a comma delimiter would allow
you to use simple list functions to extract the data.
If this isn't possible but the data is always in the format:
city<comma>state<space>zip, then you could extract the
city using comma as the delimiter and then extract the zip code
using the ListLast() function with space as the delimiter which
would leave you with the state as the remaining text. This would
only work however if your data is consistently in the format
    described above.
Failing this you could build two tables with states and
cities and then use them to identify valid states and cities and
    extract the data that way.
    cheers

  • Entering comments into photos

why, which iPhone's keyboard, can I not enter comments into my photo's taken on my iPhone - there might be something I really would like to say about the picture that I might forget if I don't get it down.

Agreed, though thats not what Apple has set this forum up for. For right now, all you can do it put in suggestion in.
Keep in mind that the DEV team does have their own agenda to follow. Whether or not they include a feature has little to do with our suggestions and more to do with what they are told to include.

  • How do you convert a single audio file into multiple tracks?

Ive got a cassette tape that I captured. Now I want that single file to be chopped up into multiple tracks.
from there, can we burn to cd with the multi tracks? or do we need another cd burner program?
also the only way Ive been able to get rid of big pops is highlight them and cut them out. the automated processes have not been able to do this for me.
is there a procedure somewhere for this that I can follow?
    thanks for your assistance.
    best, M/

    Jimi
this is exactly what I did with a previous cd. I thought it seemed like the long way round.
was hoping for a more automated solution.
when I came from XP land, I used to use Premiere Pro 2.0 and there was a Pro editing software that came with the Premiere suite, I forgot what it was called, but it did that automatically after adding markers and it was way better at eliminating clicks and pops.
there was a view you could use where you could see the annoying noises by looking at it using several differnt views (like looking at an infared image).
definetly had its advantages but I could not keep XP running. I got errors, blue screens, viruses, spywares, costs lots of money to fix an lots of downtime.
so far the mac as worked without any major glitches (touching wood)

  • How do you make one long track into multiple tracks?

How do you make one long track in itunes into multiple tracks? Is there a way to do that?

I found another solution too through Garageband. I don't know if it was easier, but I liked this way of creating seperate tracks.
First, You put the long track into Garageband.
-then you create a New Basic Track under Track Tab-create as many of those as tracks you want to make
-also make sure the headphones button is lit up under each New Basic Track-this allows it to be a 'solo' track.
-then you can start cutting music-with the long strip find where you want to split into a new track and drag that half down into each New Basic Track.
-Once you are done, press Option Z and a purple little triangle will appear up by the measures. drag the triangle to the end of the first track-this allows it when sharing to itunes to just record the particular track you want, it puts a stop/end to that track.
-then, make sure the track you want to share is highlighted the bright orange and go to share, 'send to itunes'
-it will send that to itunes and you can rename it in itunes.
-Go back to Garageband-delete the first track you successfully shared and move the next one up to where that one was. Slide it accross to the left so it is at the beginning, press option Z and move the purple triangle where you want it to be...and you are good to repeat until all your tracks are done!
I am a very visual person, and this helped to see where I was cutting each track, just another way!

  • How to split one long file into multiple tracks?

I have a single-file recording of a vinyl record (containing multiple sequential tracks) that I want to export to multiple separate tracks. Is it possible to take thisfile of audio, add markers to it and export that file from multitrack view into separate tracks? I know its possible to do it using markers and to export a CD list and the burning to CD, but can you export to multiple gapless WAV files instead, with the markers as track/split points?
I am not burning to CD, just wanting to keep the tracks as files.

Once you have added your markers and merged as for making a CD you can then use the Batch Process Marker Regions (next icon along from the Merge icon in Marker list) to save out the marked regions as individual files.

  • How do I setup Multiple Inputs on a single card into multiple tracks (devices) in Adobe Audition?

With a single Audigy 2 Card, how do I setup to record from two of the inputs (line-in and mic) into separate tracks in Adobe Audition 1.5?
I am trying to get the different inputs to list as different devices in Adobe Audition 1.5 so that I can record to multiple tracks simultaneously with different input.
    Is it possible?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thank you

I need to know the same thing when using an Audigy2 ZS Platinum Pro. Neither the users manual nor the website provide anything more technical than how to hook up speakers wires.
If you cannot multitrack from the multiple inputs, is the IEE 1394 (firewire) port capable of 6 pin connection to a Yamaha digital mixer with an MLan digital I/O card. If so, will the 16in/16out from the MLan pass through and be recognized by Adobe Audition?
    Thanks

  • Splitting a Track Into Multiple Tracks...

Does anyone know if you can take a long audio file and split it into multiple audio files (or tracks) in Garageband or any freeware programs designed for Mac? If so, PLEASE be of assistance. I can't figure it out for the life of me. Thanks very much for any help!

Any audio editor can split up an audio file:
    http://www.bulletsandbones.com/GB/GBFAQ.html#audioeditors
You could also use GB's Split MenuItem to, well, split up a region and put the pieces on their own tracks. If you wanted to go this route, here's a tutorial whose main point is different, but whose technique is what you want to do if you read through it all the way:

  • Premiere Pro CC Multicam - 2 camera angles being split into multiple tracks

I love CC's multicam feature, but keep having this problem:
In Pluraleyes, I would lay all my Cam 1 material on video track 1 (multiple clips), then Cam 2 on video track 2 (multiple clips), add my audio, and create a multicam track that kept all Cam 1 clips on track 1 and all Cam 2 clips on track 2.
in Premiere Pro CC, multicam creation can only be exectued via the browser, not the timeline. So Premiere syncs everything up and throws each clip onto the next video track up, leaving you with a mountain of timeline media that reads out tiny and jumps all over the place when viewed in the multicam monitor (see picture).
    What I'm after:
    - the ability to create multicam sequences based on the timeline (lay out all clips from each cam on whichever video track I want, select all, then choose "create multicam sequence") so that the end result isn't 20 video tracks I have to manually collapse into 2 (time waster).
    Help Adobe?
    thanks
    jesse

I know this is a rather old post, but have been having a play with multi cam for a while and watching a few videos so help this helps.
What I do to get rid of extra cameras that are generated with each new multicam process.
The process im mentioning is very briefly mentioned in this clip : Adobe Premiere Pro CC Tutorial | Performing Multi-Camera Editing - YouTube
Once I have made my multicam source file.
Drag to new sequence icon (similar to what is done with a clip and want to make a quick sequence from clips properties.)
You will have the green nested footage (this will have multicam enabled by default.
Ctrl + Double Left click the green bar. This reveals all the clips and audio.
Arrange the clips onto which ever video layer you want (each representing a Camera)
Double click the the sequence created to reset the sequence to have the green bar for editing but with only 2-3 cameras as desired and not the 12 you dread.
First time poster, sorry if not overly clear.

  • Creating Multiple Tracks in GB

Help! I've read and tried all the previous posts. I have a 40 min long song in GB; I want to split it into multiple tracks, like on a normal music cd w/ track 1, track 2, etc. I've tried the Arrange Tracks, but it doesn't translate into iTunes.
    Any advice?
    Thanks in advance,
    Christian

Easiest way probably is to use the Cycle Region. Press C on your keyboard (or the circular arrow loop on the Transport Controls) and the yellow bar appears at top. You can move and resize it as you like. When you Share only that section gets exported. Then you can repeat for each song/track. In iTunes you can rename each song and burn all at once to a CD.
Another way is to show the Podcast track and use podcast markers. Then you can burn direct to CD from GB and there'll be a new track for each marker you used.

  • How do I extract multiple tracks from a CD into a single file in Audition CS6?

I use Audition to edit my Pastor's messages. The message CD is made with five minute tracks. I want to extract the tracks from the CD into a single file for editing and altering the track lengths. I have done this before in Audition CS6, but I haven't been able to find instructions for it. I only found a note stating this is available in AuditionCC.

I have discovered an answer to my problem. The way to bring multiple tracks into Audition CS6 from a CD is to use the FILE / OPEN APPEND / TO NEW command. This brings the separate tracks into a single file in Audition CD6. Thanks to everyone who commented.

  • How do i convert multiple tracks into one large mp3?

how do i convert multiple tracks into one large mp3?

    Hi,
You can use an app such as Audacity or Join Together to create one larger file. If AAC file used instead of mp3, you could use GarageBand.
If you have the original CD, you can join the tracks whilst re importing disc.

  • Playing music on iPhone 5, multiple tracks lose audio partway into the song

When playing music on my iPhone 5, multiple tracks lose audio partway into the song, even though the track is still playing.
I have tried re-syncing music to the phone several times. This will fix the problem for some tracks, but then re-create the problem in other tracks. Also, I have switched from syncing the entire library to only syncing a few playlists at a time. What can I do?
