Entering numbers on captivate 3

When I run the project in assessment mode Captivate allows me to enter text and it will then move on to the next slide (using mouse clicks or shortcuts). However, when I do this with numbers it sticks and will not move forward. When i click back into the text box and press enter (this is the shortcut for this slide) really hard it finally moves to the next slide. It only does this with numbers and I dont know if I am using the wrong type of box or not. If anyone knows how to rectify this please help. I can send through attachments to explain what I mean.

Simply use the keypad as you type an SMS (atleast used to type on the old generation cell phones )
Simply click the number key several times till the required number appears on the screen.

I installed Adobe Reader 10.0.1 multi-Language and I am able to enter Arabic alphabet in the fields, but when I enter numbers in the fileds, it is English. I don't have this issue in MS-Word. i.e., both letters and numbers depend on my keyboard setting and is English or Arabic respectively. The numbers setting in windows in "depend on context" and I think is fine. Do you know how I can fix this issue? Is there any setting in Adobe that overwrights the Windows setting for numbers?

I won't say I am very clear about this topic. But I will give an example, which seems to show that number (in the double type) is logically of the form -000.00 while locale spacific String object can be both of the forms "000.00-" and "-000.00"

Entering numbers into textfield

Hi,
is there any way of entering numbers into a textfield whereby the user doesn't have to toggel the device inorder to produce said numbers- a bit like a calculator application; any suggestions welcome

Sure, it is very easy.
Read about TextField Input Constraints.
They are

You can set them in two way
1. public void setConstraints(int constraints)2. Pass to TextField constructor:

I cannot enter numbers in my calculator using the keypad - only using the mouse - anyone know why?

I can't enter numbers into the calculator using the keypad - however I can use the calculator with the kwyboard numbers or the mouse using the nu,mbers on the calculator. In preferences, - keyboard - it says that the F6 key toggles the num lock system - on my computer the F6 key does nothing. I am running Snow Leopard, haven't downloaded Lion yet. This might help
Press the SETUP button on your printer's control panel.
Using the arrows, select DEVICE SETTINGS, press OK.
Select LAN SETTINGS and press OK.
Select Wireless LAN Setup and press OK.
If a message appears to press the WPS button, press STOP to cancel.
Select STANDARD SETUP from the next screen that appears and press OK.
Highlight your access point or router and press OK.
Press OK again to confirm the access point name.
Enter your passphrase using the keypad to the right.
At the screen where you enter your passphrase, in the top right corner of the LCD screen you should see a :1 . This indicates that you are in numeric entry mode. If you press the asterisk key (*) it will switch to :A or uppercase letter mode, pressing asterisk again with switch to lowercase letter mode. To enter a letter in either letter mode, you will press the associated number key to cycle through the available letters. For example: To enter a letter "c", you will press the "2" key three times.
Press OK when done.
The LCD screen will say "Connected" if the password is correct.

That's an odd one, alright! When you state "format" I presume you're not somehow inserting the hyphen, correct? You're dialing 5551234 or 5555551234.
If a Restore does not correct the problem, presumably a Reset will not either, but try that (reset is press and hold the sleep/wake and home buttons until the Apple logo comes up (~10 seconds, ignore the slide to power off prompt, wait for the logo).
Else, I suspect a visit to an Apple Store (or a call to AppleCare) is your best bet.

It sounds like you are trying to use a redemption code (alpha-numeric) where you are supposed to be using a serial number (strictly numeric). A redemption is normally used to acquire a serial number... the serial number is what you enter to activate the software.

Okay, here is the deal.
Whenever I login or a something asking my password pops up I can't enter the numbers while using shift.
I have to put CAPS LOCK on for some reason, and I don't know why.

I couldn't correct all the font duplicates because some were used by the system.
If you want to know more about OS X font management, read Font Management in OS X, by Kurt Lang.
Not sure what you mean by Update (Combo) I have automatic updates turned on. Do I need to do still more to assure an updated system?
The only reason I suggested that was because your Apple Discussions "My Settings" system profile lists Mac OS X (10.6.3) as your current system.

I am trying to enter a zip code into the spreadsheet but the cell keeps dropping the zero. How do I format the cells to enter the numbers as text?

Welcome to Apple Discussions and the Numbers '09 forum.
Select the cells you wish to format.
Open the Inspector.
Click the Cell Format Inspector button (42)
Use the popup menu in the inspector to select Text.
Done
"Formatting Table Cell Values for Display" is one of the topics covered in Chapter 4, "Working with Table Cells", of the Numbers '09 User Guide. This guide, and the iWork Formulas and Functions User Guide, can be downloaded using menu items in Numbers's Help menu. I would recommend downloading both, reading at least the first chapter (and the pages addressing this question) of the Numbers guide, and keeping the F & F guide for use as a reference when working with formulas.

Entering numbers

When entering a series of numbers, every time the space bar is entered, the keyboard returns to the alpha mode. How does one lock it in numeric mode. I've tried every combination, in "settings>keyboard" with no luck.

Pages Table, entering numbers beginning with a zero?

I have a table in Pages and when I enter a number, say 0004623 (I want the zeros!) in a cell, the three leading zeros are omitted when I tab to the next cell.
How do I keep the zeros?

As you are using 7 numbers incl zeros you can use the 'Numerical format' Base 10 to 7 places.
The format is available with all the others in the inspector > Cell (42).

TS1702 Right in the middle of using numBers, entering numbers on a spreadsheet. I went to copy then paste to another document and everything froze. I can not open any of my documents. Any ideas?

I have 2 problems. First I was using numbers on my IPad and it froze up on me. I cannot open any of my documents. What do I do to fix this.
My pages wouldn't update and now it is dark and I cannot use it or my Facebook app which is doing the same thing.

Reset : Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
