Entering numbers on the alpha/numeric keypad

How do i enter numbers on the alpha/numeric keypad of my HP 6500?  trying to put in network password.
Thanks

Hi,
Simply use the keypad as you type an SMS (atleast used to type on the old generation cell phones )
Simply click the number key several times till the required number appears on the screen.

    Is there a case or screen protector that is possibly interfering with the proximity sensor (detects if the phone is near your face, allows the keypad/screen to be visible when the phone is away from your face)

  • Is there anyway to read alpha-numeric data from spreadsheets?

    I am not only talking about headers, but entire columns of text data. I need find a way to read from a .xls file that contains both text and numbers and display it on screen, in a table.

    Your best bet is to use the Scan String function, using the string format. This is compatible with the C++ "scanf" function. You can parse the data any way you like.
    By the way, I haven't heard the rest of the story on your positioning servo contoller. How's the PWM circuit working out?

  • How to enter numbers in Arabic font in the fields

    Hi Everyone,
    I installed Adobe Reader 10.0.1 multi-Language and I am able to enter Arabic alphabet in the fields, but when I enter numbers in the fileds, it is English. I don't have this issue in MS-Word. i.e., both letters and numbers depend on my keyboard setting and is English or Arabic respectively. The numbers setting in windows in "depend on context" and I think is fine. Do you know how I can fix this issue? Is there any setting in Adobe that overwrights the Windows setting for numbers?
    Thanks a lot

    I won't say I am very clear about this topic. But I will give an example, which seems to show that number (in the double type) is logically of the form -000.00 while locale spacific String object can be both of the forms "000.00-" and "-000.00"
    // you can show the string below (formatted) on a JLabel with the following
    //<JLabel_instance>.setFont(new Font("Lucida Sans", Font.PLAIN, 22));
    NumberFormat nf = NumberFormat.getInstance(new java.util.Locale("ar","EG"));
    //NumberFormat nf = NumberFormat.getInstance(new java.util.Locale("fr","Fr"));   // compare
    DecimalFormat df=null;
    DecimalFormatSymbols dfs= null;
      if (nf instanceof DecimalFormat) {
          df = (DecimalFormat)nf;
          dfs = df.getDecimalFormatSymbols();
          dfs.setZeroDigit('\u0660');// set the beginning of the range to Arabic digits.. this can be commented out
          df.setDecimalFormatSymbols(dfs);
      String formatted = nf.format(-1234567.89);

  • Cannot enter numbers from num pad or keyboard

    Cannot enter numbers from the number pad or the keyboard.

    That's an odd one, alright! When you state "format" I presume you're not somehow inserting the hyphen, correct? You're dialing 5551234 or 5555551234.
    If a Restore does not correct the problem, presumably a Reset will not either, but try that (reset is press and hold the sleep/wake and home buttons until the Apple logo comes up (~10 seconds, ignore the slide to power off prompt, wait for the logo).
    Else, I suspect a visit to an Apple Store (or a call to AppleCare) is your best bet.

  • Number keypad will not work in fillable forms.  The numbers on the keyboard work fine.  Any ideas?

    I have a couple of customers who can not type numbers into a fill-able form only when using the number pad.  It works fine when entering numbers from the main keyboard.
    It's not the NumLock Key.  I have also tried setting the Touch Mode to Never.  Any thoughts?

    Using a stylus or finger?

    No. You have to use the built-in keyboard or a bluetooth connected external keyboard.

  • I am having a problem entering redemption code.  I can enter numbers but when I try to enter any letters it's like the computer is locked up, but it's not on any other application

    I am having a problem entering my redemption code.  I can enter numbers but not any letters.  It's like the computer is locked up when I try.  My letters work on any other application

    It sounds like you are trying to use a redemption code (alpha-numeric) where you are supposed to be using a serial number (strictly numeric).  A redemption is normally used to acquire a serial number... the serial number is what you enter to activate the software.

  • The "enter" key on the numeric keypad of my external mac keyboard has stopped working. Help!

    The "enter" key on the numeric keypad of my external mac keyboard has stopped working with my Macbook pro.  If I plug the keyboard into any other computer, that entier key works fine. I'm using a standard Mac wired keyboard, & it's worked fine for 2 years now. Help!
    This is the keyboard I am using: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB110LL/B/apple-keyboard-with-numeric-keypad
    Not sure what I might have accidentily done to disable the enter key. (The normal enter key works fine, just the one on the numeric keypad.)
    Thank you for your help.

    Hi there,
    Do you have any resolution to this problem in the end? Because it happened to me an exact same thing.
    Please share if you have found a solution to your problem. I also cannot think of what I did wrong to disable the Enter key.

  • How can I perform the LINEST function using the new version of Numbers? The old method of using "command enter" to complete the array function does not work. Please help ASAP!!!

    LINEST function using Numbers for Mac

    Thank you for your help. This page is somewhat helpful, but I still don't quite understand.  I am using the Numbers program, and my assignment calls for me to use the LINEST function to return a set of 10 values.
    When I googled how to do this, a lot of pages mentioned hitting "command+enter" to complete the array function, but they were using an older version of Numbers and it doesn't do anything when I try it in the new version.  I tried using "Index" with LINEST, and i've managed to get about 5 values out of it.

  • Help! Enter key on the Number Keypad not working on wired Apple Keyboard

    Help! The enter key on the number keypad has stopped working and it's making me soooo frustrated. I've looked around my preferences and can't figure out what is going on.

    I'd recommend doing a SMC reset, if this doesn't take care of it the key board may have a broken key and will need to be replaced. Here is are the instructions for a SMC reset:

  • How do I remove  the enter key on the numeric keypad as a command key?

    How do I remove the enter key on the numeric keypad as a command key.  I want to use the enter key as a return key.

    Don't.  It will void the warranty.  Take is to an Apple store or an AASP and have them do it.

  • Have the developers considered randomizing the numbers for the passcode?  It is easy to watch the pattern when someone enters their passcode.  However, if the numbers appeared is a random order each time, it would enhance the security feature even more.

    He slightly beat you Meg, and I'm in the same boat with you. If I used a passcode I believe I would go with the feature to use a longer alphanumeric passcode rather than a 4 digit number even with the random code entry.
    And of course if Apple did put this feature in they need to make it an option or we'll see lots of posts wanting to know how to get rid of it.
