Entering products in Compliants in IC Web

Hi guys,
We are working on IC web, here we are stuck with an issue. if we open complaints in IC web, identify the account, try to create a complaint.in complaint the product field is grayed out. it has to be filled through I base. but my scenario doesn't has I base. we want to enter product code directly. But the system is not allowing us to do that.
help required.

Hi ADI,
YOu will have to come to Complaint in the ICWEB client and then click on new . then go to the F4 help of Product ID ,this will help you find out the Product and it's correct ID , then click on create item ,the item starts appearing in the item level for the complaint ..

Hi Ali,
Could you please try with some other product like HT-1000 and see, weather you are getting the same error or not.
And use the SAP GUI and created same opportunity.
Sometimes Web UI is behaving strangely.
Please let me know after creating the SAP GUI.

Have you tried to reset preferences? And no you do not have to start Bridge to do this.,
Hold down the Ctrl key and start Bridge. You should get a reset window with 3 options. Choose all 3.

Error while entering product in Transactions- Opportunity and sales orders

Hello Friends,
I am facing a problem while entering products in Create opportunity screen with message no: COM_PRODUCT_SETTINGS001. I get the error as below.
Product ID is longer than the Customizing setting allows
     Message no. COM_PRODUCT_SETTINGS001
Diagnosis:
    The product ID 000000000000003115 contains more than 18 characters, that
    is, it is longer than the length defined in Customizing.
I tried changing the "Product output format and storage form" to maximum of 40 characters and tested it, the error still persists.
Though I created some opportunities with same product ids before, I only face this issue after system has been updated with some latest patches. Is this issue anything to with updated patches?

I can enter product code for PhotoShop CS5. I bought the product last year, but could not upgrade my computer to accomodate it. Now I have fixed my computer, but it won't accept product code on the box. I bought the student/teacher edition.

Get in touch with S&T support for such issues.

Put your search terms in the combined URL and search bar at the top of the browser (exactly the same as you do in most modern desktop browsers such as Chrome, Safari, Explorer). There is no separate search box, just use the box where you enter web addresses.
And no, you cannot downgrade.

At this - THIS point I was "told" I needed the 64 bit version (I have a 64 bit Lenovo T431s laptop). My patience wearing thin... I returned to the Adobe site from which I had done everything to this point. NOTHING with regard to a choice of 32 or 64 bit! Looked closely at the info that came with the download card... again, nothing regarding 32 or 64 bit option. Outlined this matter to Identit-e customer service... they said I need to contact Adobe. Adobe site does not make it easy to do that. Anyone have a solution and/or a suggestion?

How to enter values in Descriptive flexfield by WEB ADI

Hi All,
I am using GL-Journals as an integrator for uploading data using WEB ADI. I have DFF at Journal lines. There is Context Field value and also 3 lines(Attributes). I can enter the data by clicking the Line DFF Context and Line DFF manually. The entered values are shown as concatenated values in this cell. But the data is in different columns in excel file. I want to map the data from excel(which is in different cells) to this one column in the WEB ADI template.
Does any one know how to map this.

Hi All,
After couple of investigations, I understood that it is not possible to map and upload DFF Values unless you concatenate the data. We all know it used to work in client ADI. I have found these documents 1072689.1 and Bug 8469705.
If someone knows any workaround please let me know.

Why doesn't the enter key respond when saving a web page?

go to save a web page, complete and when i press the enter key it doesn't work. i have to move the mouse pointer to the save button and click it that way but it slower this way. why won't it let me just push the enter button on my keyboard to save?
any way to fix this?

The '''<u>S</u>ave''' button has focus in the Save As window for me, and hitting either Enter or S will work.
But if I change the File <u>n</u>ame or select a different file Type I have to use the mouse to save it; the focus is away from the Save button.

Planning function "Allocation" - enter or upload distribution keys via web

Hey all
We want to use the planning function "allocation" and want to find out, if there is a possibility to enter the distribution keys for that planning function either over a web interface or by flat file upload.
The idea is, that all companies over the world (sender) can maintain their distribution keys (can change every month) themselfs.
We are actually using "BW-BPS 3.5"!

Hi Roger,
It should be possible to do it. I have come across a similar situation although the planning function in question was "Distribution using the posting keys".
The layout can be web based where the user enters the different posting key percentages for allowable entries to the different allocation units.
Then once he saves this, and the entries are validated on the front end, you can use an automatic planning function to activate the posting key settings.You will use an user-exit to achieve this.
The user-exit basically initializes the original set of parameter group for that function using "UPF_PARAM_INIT",
for the planning function in question which itself can be found by using "UPF_PARAM_INFO_GET"....
Once you have done this..then you can set your PGroup settings again from the new values.Here you are taking entries from the web/layout..which are stored as some values in another keyfigure(z_dist_factor) etc...and then use the FM "UPF_PARAM_INFO_SET" followed by a "UPF_PARAM_SAVE" to finish and exit out.
I think if you read thru some of the code in the above mentioned FM ,...you can easily construct what you want to achieve.Good Luck.

i have placed a dropdown.
my problem was the status of the dropdown is normal item.
when i enter the value for the first time it is accepting the value
and when i enter the value for the second time it is becomming in red and asking me to enter the value is i change the value in the dropdown it is accepting the value.
Please suggest me how to slove it.

Help with entering product key

I have just down loaded Photoshop album starter edition, registered it, have a product key and I am the administrator for my computer. However, when I enter the key, the "Unlock" button remains grayed out and will not let me put in the code. How can I get into the program. Thanks for assistance.

Barb, Thanks for the timely reply. You're right I do have v. 3. Unfortunately, the solution suggested did not work. The product key is asked for on the registration page. The unlock button appears dimmed. You can enter the code but that does not change the unlock button (whether or not you press enter). Attempting to delete invisible characters has no effect - although this would more likely get some sort of a "wrong code" error after pressing unlock, which can not be done!? More ideas?

Product Database Management For Manufacturers Web Site - How do I do this W/ Templates?

In short, I have an excell database of product. I am
developing a web site for a factory with many products. I have
never used a database to fill specific template data, except for
3rd party shopping carts...
So, how do create a database, upload it to the site, and
allow users to access product information? Looking for your typical
database to template set up with tags in specics spots withint he
HTML of the template that reference the columns of data in a
specific row of the database.
I basically need a shipping cart, but with no "BUY" or "VIEW
CART" buttons.

I'm not an expert on this but you need to know what sort of
server
you're going to be using. The server can drive what database
you're
going to use.
MySQL?
MSSQL?
Access?
There are others.
If you're on a PHP server you may want to stay with MySQL.
Talk to your
server admin to see what is installed. MySQL has a control
panel called
"Workbench" that can manage the database.
MSSQL uses Enterprise Manager to administer the database.
Whether it's MySQL or MSSQL, each will be able to import
data; same can
be said for Access. Access is probably the least flexible; in
other
words, it's not built for as high of performance but for
small sites
without a lot of traffic, it's probably fine. With Access,
you basically
build the tables and everything on your own computer and then
upload the
mdb file to the server.
Once you have the database, you can start to build a page in
Dreamweaver. The first thing you should do is pick your
server script
language VBScript, php, ... You then create a connection to
the
database. Once the connection is made, those tables become
available to
drag and drop on your page. From there you can do repeats and
form
columns of data to display products.
That's it in a nutshell.
