Enterprise Beta Program

I signed our firm up for the Enterprise Beta Program on Friday. I was curious if anyone else out there on the discussion boards had done so and if so, how soon should I expect to hear from Apple if we are accepted, will we hear from Apple whether or not we are accepted and how likely any particular applicant is to be chosen (i.e. are they keeping this to a very limited number of groups or will it be open to a lot of groups)?

I am not 100% sure on the response time for when you will hear if your in or not. I can imagine that it will be awhile before responses go out. If I was to make a guesstimate I would say 1 to 2 weeks But again this is just a guess. I honestly do not know.

    Without speculating on the release date of Sun Cluster 3.x or even its feature list, I would like to understand what risk Sun would take when Sun Cluster would support ZFS as a failover filesystem? Once ZFS is part of Solaris 10, I am sure customers will want to use it in clustered environments.
    BTW: this means that even Veritas will have to do something about ZFS!!!
    If VCS is a much better option, it would be interesting to understand what features are missing from Sun Cluster to make it really competitive.

  • Enterprise developer program

    Hi,
    My boss asked me to locate information on the enterprise developer program, I know that it's a yearly subscription of $299, but does this mean that it's $299 per developer? or can you create a team and it's just subscription per company at $299? This information is not available on the site, or I've been just unable to find it.

    *What privileges does each user role have?*
    There are four distinct user roles:
    Admin: This role gives the user access to all iTunes Connect modules. Admin users have the ability to create, delete or modify existing iTunes Connect users. The initial iTunes Connect user is granted both the Admin and Legal roles by default.
    Legal: This role is only available to the initial iTunes Connect user. This role allows the individual to enter into agreements with iTunes via iTunes Connect. The user with this role will be the only user allowed to generate promotional codes.
    Finance: This role gives the user access to Financial Reports and Contracts, Tax and Banking Information, and Sales/Trend Reports modules. This user will also be able to view the Manage Users module, but will only be able to edit their own personal user information.
    Technical: This role gives the user access to Manage your Applications, Manage Your In App Purchases and Manage Users modules. As with the Finance user role, Technical users have limited access to the Manage Users module. They have the ability to view other usersʼ profiles, but will only be able to edit their own personal user information.

    Although the answer is going to be the same, I would prefer to know what version of Premiere Elements is involved and on what computer operating system it is running in order to get version specific when necessary without requesting the information later than sooner.
    Not sure what you mean by
    The idea is that whenever the Blu-Ray comes up, it always shows the beginning 25-second sequence, then always goes to a menu that says "Play Movie" and "Scene Menu" or something to that effect
    Stop markers do not function in the playback of Premiere Elements (any version) Blu-ray disc format on Blu-ray disc. They do in the playback of Premiere Elements (any version) DVD-VIDEO format on a DVD disc.
    You would have to find another video editor for that purpose or export your Premiere Elements Timeline to a file saved to the computer hard drive and then taken into another program for menu creation (with a stop marker like feature) and burn to disc there. You would need to determine ahead of time what formats the other program support.
    Blu-ray burn to project
    If you have 9 scenes and place scene markers for each
    a. the viewer can select any one of the scenes from the scene selection page
    b. with or without stop markers, it will be the same at playback of the Blu-ray disc, example
    if the viewer selects scene 5 from the scene selection page, playback will be scenes 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 with automatic
    return to the main menu
    if the viewer selects scene 1 from the scene selection page, playback will be scenes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 with automatic
    return to the main menu

    Let me start with the unixODBC driver:
    There's no generic location as it depends which package you've used to install the UnixODBC driver manager or how you compiled it from scratch. I commonly prefer to compile it from scratch as this offers me to install it to any location I like.
    If you're not sure where it is located, you could perform a search on your machine looking for libodbc.so. Then cross check it with "file <location>/libodbc.so" to see the lib is a 64bit library.
    So let's assume in the /usr/lib64 you found the libodbc.so library, then the setting
    HS_FDS_SHAREABLE_NAME=/usr/lib64/libodbc.so
    is correct. Else you need to adopt the parameter.
    Next step is to check out which unixODBC version is installed. That's commonly done by calling "odbcinst -j".
    Looking now ta the gateway init file there's a parameter HS_NLS_NCHAR set to UTF-8. UnixODBC is commonly compiled with UCS2 support, so please change it to HS_NLS_NCHAR=UCS2
    Could you also please post the content of the odbc.ini file "more /etc/odbc.ini"?

    Thanks. Yes - the existing Oracle BPM forum has been around for a while and is very active.
    Just as you've done on this post, something I've seen on other forums that proved very helpful is for a forum administrator to post an announcement on the forum. In this announcement they asked people posting threads to include their version of the software with their question.
    Please consider taking this approach with the existing Oracle BPM forum and have the administrator of the exsting Oracle BPM forum post this announcement. That way we will know immediately when new threads appear that it is an Oracle BPM 11g question. This will help lessen the confusion and continue to make the forum useful for all Oracle BPM customers.

Although Topicscape is on sale, 3D-Scape will still honor their promise of a free version to every existing Beta User who sends reports of significant bugs or makes suggestions that they use. These must be bugs found in the latest on-line version (this is the public full-featured trial version - no beta user log in required now).

  • Any way to play with Marvel without being in the beta program?

    Hi - I tried using the search facility for FAQ and couldn't find anything. The only link to Project Marvel I can find indicates I need to register for the beta program. Is there any way to just play around with it without being required to develop a test application and other such stuff?

    though you do need to register/sign_up to use project marvel, you don't necessarilly need to fully participate in the formal beta program. simply indicate in the section of the registration that says "Project(s) Description (describe what you intend to use this tool for)" that you'd like to play around with the tool. so long as you provide useful feedback if/when you encounter it, i'm pretty sure you should be good to go. as a bit of advice, though, creating a simple application or two from start to finish (with authentication and such in place) really goes a long way towards grasping the big picture. given that it can be a matter of minutes to create such a tiny app with marvel, it's hard to pass that big picture up.
