"Enterprise Distribution Profile Certificate"

I'm getting a pop-up message that says "Enterprise Distribution Profile Certificate" is going to expire in 3 days. What is this and what does it mean?

What do you mean by 'use'?
Apps built using an Enterprise account are for 'use' by the Enterprise. Apps built using an individual dev's account/distribution cert. are for submittal by that dev.
What is it you're trying to do/avoid/accomplish, exactly?

  • Can I use Interpreted Mode for OTA distribution using an Enterprise In-House certificate?

It seems due to an issue with duplicate SWFs, that I can only get my .ipa to package using Interpreted Mode (not AOT).
This, of course, has been working fine using development provisioning and has tested fine using an enterprise distribution provisioning and certificate.
The client will be distributing the .ipa to in-house staff using over-the-air (this will NOT be an Apple Store item). I haven't seen anything saying one way or another whether there are any requirements, such as that the .ipa be compiled AOT.
Could someone please confirm, or point me to the appropriate references? I don't want to discover this hiccup once the final .ipa has been released to the client and they attempt to distribute to their staff.

You can use anything that you want with Enterprise certificates and you can break the rules. But only for Enterprise in-house distributuion.

  • My Distribution Profile is grayed out in Code Signing Provisioning Profile

Fellow developers, has anyone experienced this problem when you tried to compile your app for distribution:
Did everything as suggested in this forum, including:
    - copying a distribution profile to the right folder and also draging over the Xcode icon
    - Adding a "Distribution" configuration
    - specifying the identity as "iPhone Distribution: My Name"
However, in the "Code Signing Provisioning Profile" picker, when "Any iPhone OS" is selected, the only enabled choice is "Default ..." and the actual profile with my name is grayed out.
More over, the moment I select "Distribution" and then select "Device" in the "Active Configuration" picker, Xcode closes. This behavior can be reproduced all the time.
    Any suggestions?
    Eugene

It is normal that it is grayed out ( don't ask me why ). To activate the distribution build, duplicate your Release in Distribution, install all the required certificates ( please apple stop those, they're a nightmare to deal with ) , then in the build settings in the code signing you have to TYPE ( there is no drop down box as seen in some screenshots ) "iPhone Distribution" ( instead of "iPhone Developer" ) and tada a few lines below you should see your drop down modified with some distributions entries.

  • [iPhone SDK] Can't see distribution Profile in Xcode

Okay, I've been struggling for three days now but no matter what I do, I can't see my distribution profile in Xcode.
At times I see weird numbers but not the actual profile name. However packing that doesn't work. I've followed all instructions but in vain. Any one had similar issues?

Same exact problem here. I have been struggling for more than 2 weeks with no solution. It works on my second Mac, but not on my main Mac, the one I used to request the certificates. So, maybe I need to delete all certificates & profiles and import them manually?
Have anyone tried that technique? Did it help? I know that some of you have solved this issue. Could you please post your solution?
    Thank you in advance,
    Eugene

  • Distribution Profile

Regarding building the app with "Device - 3.1 | Distribution" option in XCode - is this profile/option used *only* to build the app for putting it in the App Store (using iTunes Connect) - or can I use it to install the built app on the device also?
I am asking because I am trying to build it with distribution profile and trying to install it on the device, and I get "A valid provisioning profile for this executable was not found" error.

    Yes.

    No.

That's the expected behavior. When building for Distribution, make sure you select "Build", not "Build & Go".

Thank you so much for your response.  Sorry, I should have mentioned that we are not using the Retail functionality.  We are trying to use this field for reporting purposes and have been unsuccessful in getting even the defaul distribution profile to work.  When trying to select this in MM02, we get the following error:
Error determining plant distribution profile for plant XXXX
    Message no. W#442
However, I did follow what you said.  SAP gave me a lot of warnings that we are not setup as a retail system, but I went ahead and assigend the Default 001 to the plant in use.  This did work, but I'm wondering if this is the best route.'
Thanks again for all of your information, and if you have a more efficient option, please let me know.
    Thanks!

There is no executable installer (EXE or MSI) for 11.0.5.  You will need to download the 11.0.5 update http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5674

  • Administrative credentials when adding a WEP/WPA/WPA2 Enterprise wifi profile?

    Hello,
Why do users need to provide administrative credentials when they install a configuration profile containing installation of a WEP Enterprise or WPA/WPA2 Enterprise Wifi-profile? This is not the case when installing a Wifi-profile usning standad WEP, WPA or WPA2.
Is this a bug? It confuses users with user profiles when they need to confirm the installation with administrative credentials.

I don't know the answer to your question. Maybe you can find something here:

  • Signed up for enterprise distributions, but links are failing

    Hi guys and gals,
I am filling the links after signing up to enterprise distributions for Acrobat Reader (and Air): Adobe - Adobe Reader Distribution.
However, when selecting Windows 7 - English - 11.0.10 - it eventually leads to http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/11.x/11.0.10/en_US/AdbeRdr11010_en_US.exe which fails to load.
(The same goes for Download Adobe AIR Runtime | Adobe - clicking on "Download the installer" for Air leads to a page that cannot load.)
Is anyone else experiencing these issues? I've expressed these issues to @AdobeCare, however they pointed me here.
    Regards,
    Stephen

Sorry, I don't have any problems downloading the installers from the three links you provided.  It may have been a temporary glitch; please clear your browser cache, then try again.

  • Distribution Profile / Customer Specific Forecast Release

    Hello All,
I have a small question about the distribution profiles in Demand Planning. We use MRP and VMI scenarios.
    1. While using VMI, we release forecast from DP to SNP using a distribution profile for each location. We get the percentages based on the quarterly reports on what was actually shipped to the customer and we manually enter the percentage every three months.
Our planners do this manually for the locations today since we only have a bunch of customers through VMI.
    2. For the rest of the customers, we use DP and MRP. We release the forecast to ECC using a distribution function that would equally divide the PIR by the total number of days and we see that in MDO4.
The concern now is that instead of dividing the forecast equally by the day, can we divide it by the percentages of forecast consumed by the customer like we do for VMI?
If so, rather than the planner entering the numbers in the distribution profile manually, is there an automated way such as an exit that would actomatically calcuate the percentage consumed by a specific location and update them in the distribution profile automatically. Thank you for your time.
    Regards,
    Rohit.

    Hello Rohit,
You will need these BAdis -
    BAdi Name : /SAPAPO/SDP_RELSPLIT
Description: Change period split profile when DP released to SNP.
    BAdi Name - /SAPAPO/SDP_RELDATA
Description - Modification of Data During Release from DP to SNP - Orders
You can fetch Period Split Profile value from Freely-Definable Attribute(like AT101) Product-Location Master (Table Name : /SAPAPO/MATLOC) to use during Forecast Release process. is added in /SAPAPO/MATLOC table.
You can create commonly used pattern using distribution functions and mapped those to different Period Split profiles. Also you can map these PSPs to some kind of numeric digits/text to easily identify/remember period split profile names uniquely.  These numeric digits can be set into Product-Location Master by either users or by using custom program.
This is just an idea, please think, you may improvise further to make it more purposeful for your scenario.
Example : Common distribution functions -
    Month - 4 X 4 - 25% split into 4 Week on the Month
    Month - 1F X 1 - 100% on 1st day of the Month
    Month - 1L X 1 - 100% on last day of the month
Month - 2 X 4 - 50% split into 2nd and 3rd week of the Month and so on and so forth
    Hope this will help.
    Thank you
