Enterprise Services list in Discovery System.

Hi,
I just want to know the Enterprise services list in Discovery system.
Actually why i needed that, is just wanted to know is there any enterprise service available for Billing, Service Order Management that are present as functionality in  SAP CCS [Customer Care System ] - Utilities.
And do discovery system consist of Utilites Enterprise Services ?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Aditya Metukul

Hi Aditya,
you can access a version of the Enterprise Services Workplace with the following URL on your Discovery System: http://iwdfvm2160.wdf.sap.corp:51080/socoview
Please keep in mind that this refers to the services on the DS only. The Enterprise Services Workplace on SDN (https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/explore-es and http://erp.esworkplace.sap.com/socoview(bD1kZSZjPTgwMCZkPW1pbg==)/flddisplay.asp) provides an extended set of services in the meanwhile. You potentially will find your specific services in that list.
Hope that helps,

    Hello all,
I can't figurate how to list all the root directories
    (C:/> , D:/>, E:/> etc.) in a system.
I know how to recursively check the content of a
directory and all its subdirectories when a
predefined path is defined. However what I' d like to
do is actually give the option to pick one of the
root directories to start the iteration. I have been
looking around but I can' really find anything
    helpful.
If any of you has any idea on how to achieve the
above objective some clarification would be really

  • Enterprise Services List in GP

    Hi all,
i want to develop processes in GP with enterprise services!
is it possible to create an DynamicWSProxy for that like for Visual Composer?
i have one proxy for the es workplace for Visual Composer that also works in GP, but i cant create such a proxy for the erp 2005 that works in GP, that shows the list of enterprise services!
Further explanation: i create a callable object in GP (web service or external service). then i can put in a wsdl or select the service from logical destination.
there i can see FU2_800 in the dropdown-box and search for the services in the esworkplace.
i would like to create the same connection to the SAP ERP 2005 that shows me the list of the enterprise services!
can someone tell me, what URL i have to out in?
    i tried it with http://<server>:<port>
and which authentication type i have to select?
    thanks in forward
    regards Vartan

    Hi Vartan,
In your Visual Admin make sure you have a second destination,
In the name input field, enter a name in the format <name of first logical destination>_METADATA.
    For example, Exposing_METADATA.
To ensure the correct detection of logical destinations in GP, you should strictly follow this naming convention.
In the URL input field, enterthe direct link to the servlet that generates the WSIL file, depending on the type of services you want to use:
    http://<host>:<port>/gpcore/<name of service>
For the GPProcessDiscoveryWSIL service, enter http://<host>:<port>/gpcore/GPProcessDiscoveryWSIL
    For the GPActionDiscoveryWSIL service, enter
    http://<host>:<port>/gpcore/GPActionDiscoveryWSIL

  • Enterprise Service Registry like preview system

    Hi,
is it planned to provide a ES Registry like the one on http://esapreview.sap.com/socoview(bD1kZSZjPTgwMCZkPW1pbg==)/enterpriseservices.asp?&packageid=1174B8EC1D42964B95D2DDEC37607708&packageid=EF9D259B23ACE445A3FE37F7BA9C58EC for customers ?
We need such a tool to give the internal customers the possibility to search our services.
    Regards,
    Gerald

    Hello,
In your ABAP system, run transaction code SOAMANAGER (wsadmin i think on older systems). Under the 'Technical Administration' tab click on 'Global System Settings' and on the next screen the 'Services Registry' tab. Add your CE 7.2 system as a registry using the CO_SERVICES_REGISTRY_FLAT_SI proxy class. You can pick the frequency of publication from ABAP into the registry.

  • Logical Destination/Service Group for Enterprise Services

    Hi,
we have a Discovery System V3 and published the Services into the Services Registry of a seperate CE 7.1 installation. Now when I create a NetWeaver BPM process that calls an Enterprise Service from the discovery system I have to specify either a logical destination or a service group.
I know that they are used to configure Web Services (authentication, etc.), but do I have to use them for Enterprise Services delivered by SAP? I thought they are ready-to-run???
    Thanks,
    Manfred

Yes, we have to use either logical destination or service group. This complies with the new configuration approach of SAP ESOA which is described here: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/40dabb46-dd66-2b10-1a9a-81aa620098b3.

  • How do i configure REGISTRY for enterprise services

    Hi,
Please let me know how to Configure Registry for enterprise services in  SAP Discover system V2.
    Regards,
    Naveen

I'm afraid it's a bit more complicated than adding a server into the list in Step 3 :)
When a DirectAccess client is connecting into a corporate network that is IPv4 (I assume yours is, most are), it can reach into your IPv4 servers because the DA server is doing NAT64/DNS64 translations, turning all of your DirectAccess IPv6 packets into
IPv4 packets before they head inside the network. But even though this happens in the background without you really knowing about it, the key thing there is that all DirectAccess traffic is IPv6. This means the clients can only be contacted via IPv6. If you
have IPv6 inside your network, then you can route outbound fairly easily to your DA client computers. If you are all IPv4 inside as most companies are, then you have to either roll IPv6 out inside your network, at least partially, or you have to utilize ISATAP
inside your network in order to create a sort of "virtual IPv6 cloud" that runs on top of your IPv4 internal network. This enables your internal management systems (like the BMC servers and helpdesk computers for RDP access outbound) to have a connection
into the IPv6 world, which then enables them some routing capability to get out to the IPv6-connected DA clients. In addition to this IPv6 or ISATAP setup, you also need to configure WFAS rules on the DA clients so that they will allow this traffic.
There is some info on setting up ISATAP here: http://blogs.technet.com/b/jasonjones/archive/2013/04/19/limiting-isatap-services-to-directaccess-manage-out-clients.aspx
Otherwise one of the chapters in this book is also dedicated to the setup of a selective ISATAP environment, to be used for the purposes of DirectAccess outward management: https://www.packtpub.com/virtualization-and-cloud/microsoft-directaccess-best-practices-and-troubleshooting

  • How to test an Enterprise service?

    Hi Experts,
Iam very new to this Enterprise Service. I need to test an Enterprise service from my ABAP system.
What is the Pre requistics to test the Enterprise service?
What is the necessity of WS Navigator ,SOAPUI and SOA Manager?
Is  SOAP UI need seperate license?
Can you refer documents that has steps to test a Enterprise service from scratch?
Iam in ECC 6 and my system donot have Java stack.
I can locate my service in SOA Manager , I couldnt figure out how to test it?
    Help me..
    Regards
    Karthiheyan M

    Hi Karthiheyan,
Start with this very comprehensive end-to-end guide, Enterprise SOA Development Handbook 1.1:
The guide above will help you understand most aspects around Enterprise SOA / Enterprise Services in SAP. The important thing to understand is that SAP Enterprise Services are shipped in an implemented state but they are not configured, so may exist in ECC 6.0 but can't be used until you configure (setup binding & authorization profiles etc.) & this is where SOAMANAGER is used - Configuration of the web service for use.
WS Navigator & SoapUI are webservice test tools. WS Navigator is shipped with any SAP Java stack & SoapUI is a free test tool. So, once you've configured your webservice for usage, use the URL (with binding) in WS Navigator or SoapUI to test your webservice.

  • Import of Software Components to Enterprise Services Builder in XI/PI 7.10

    Hi,
I'm searching for a way to import software components into the Enterprise Services Builder. My system is a XI/PI 7.10.
I created the software component in the System Landscape Directory. Can anyone tell me a way how to import those components into the ESR?
I cannot find import from system landscape directory in the tools tab.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Carsten

    <b>Hi Carsten,
Its simple mate...just open "Enterprise Service Builder" page. There go to menu option "Object --> Create" or click on "Create Object" icon, then you'll get a window from where you can choose radio button "Import from SLD".
And to create local software component from ESR itself  then click on radio button "Local Software Component Version".
    Cheers..

  • Use Enterprise Services without service registry?

    Hello experts,
this question is following me since days: is it possible to use enterprise services from an erp-system without a service registry?
From my understanding the service registry at runtime determines the endpoint where the service is implemented. But when there is just a single erp-system is it then possible to use this services without any additional systems?
    Thanks for any answer.
    Regards,
    Norbert

    Yes you can.
The service registry is just a "phone book" of services. as much as phone numbers exist well without the phone book services exist without a registry.
actually, if you really ever have only one source system for enterprise (or other) services you don't need the service registry. even if you have 3 source systems and you know how to find an overview of the services in each of those 3 systems and if you don't use a 'global' data model you do not really need the service registry.
but this is just my 2 cents. 'publishing' seems to be a common source of joy these days

  • Service interface not listed in business system in ID.

    Hi Experts,
In my QA system service interfaces are not listed in business system in ID, i have added product and SWCV in SLD and i am still unable to see the service interfaces of SWCV that i have added. i have done SLD and CPA cache refresh, restarted the QA system but still unable to resolve the issue.
Please suggest how to resolve this issue.

    Hi Venu,
i have done SLD and CPA cache refresh, restarted the QA system but still unable to resolve the issue.
Try if "Compare from SLD" works? This can be accessed by going to ID -> double-click business system -> communication component -> adapter specific identifiers

  • External system calling SAP ECC enterprise service.

    Hi Experts,
We have an external system(out of the client network) which needs to call the Enterprise service ExchangeRateByExchangeRateQueryResponse_In  in ECC.
As we  don't want to open the ECC port to the external systems we thought of using SAP PI in between.
I can develop a  SOAP to SOAP scenario between External system and ECC using PI.
I want to check whether there is any better  way of doing it without developing the interface.
    Thanks in advance
    Regards,
    Rajesh.A

    Hi Rajesh,
If the requirement is to fully decouple the ECC system from the external caller system, then configuration of mediated scenario utilizing PI would be a good solution here. But if it is only necessary to ensure that the external system doesn't have direct connectivity to application servers of ECC, then you may consider installing SAP Web Dispatcher, connecting ECC as a backend system to the installed Web Dispatcher and using Web Dispatcher as an endpoint in the caller system. In this way, the caller system doesn't need to have network access to application servers of ECC and will only communicate with Web Dispatcher, all communication between Web Dispatcher and backend (here, ECC) will be transparent for the caller system.

  • Do we need a SAP PI system to use SAP SRM enterprise services?

    Hi,
I am working in a project where we need to use some enterprise services like ([Maintain Purchase Request|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ESpackages/MaintainPurchaseRequest]) for SAP SRM 7.x. We have an ECC 6 system also in the landscape but the middleware is a non-SAP one. My question is that to be able to use the SRM and Enterprise Services, do we need SAP PI or SAP CE in place. Any help or useful clue/pointers is appreciated.
    Best regards,

  • Discovery System: Problems with exposing RFC as web service

We have a version 2 discovery system and have successfully implemented the three exercises from the TechEd workshop (Sales Order Distribution, Creating a PO Store Record WS, Adding a New Step to the Procurement Scenario with SAP CAF GP). It seems to work fine except for two issues with the RFC/WS:
    1) The RFC, and therefore the WS, always returns an empty string instead of the 'X' that the documentation shows in Step 4.h. We checked the RFC itself and it looks like it has an error with the price field; it always appends a blank to the end of the price string and then errors.
    2) The created web service does not show up on the Web Services Navigator page. Since the instructions tell you to save the URL to the WSDL, we can find the web service and test it, but you cannot find it on the Navigator page.
Neither of these problems are huge, but they make me worry that something is not quite right in the Discovery System and we may end up with larger problems later. Any ideas what could cause these two problems, and how to fix them?
    Thanks, Eric

    Hi Eric,
First of all let me assure you that your system is perfectly fine and both topics that you have raised are the way the system is suppose to respond.
    1. The reason that the service is returning a null is because you are entering the same input parameters more than once. Since some of the parameters are used as primary key's in the database, you will need to change them in order to successfully store the data.
    2. The reason that you don't see the service in the Navigator page is because this service resides in the ERP and not in WebAS. Only services deployed on the WebAS will appear in the Web Service Navigator page.
    Thanks,
    Itai
