Enterprise Support - Populating my SM7 using SMSY_SETUP

Hello all, my first post - be gentle!
We are currently setting up our Solution Manager 7 system for Enterprise Support as we are a VAR (Value added Re-seller)
We are using the documentation: "Configuration Service-Desk for VAR"
When running the SMSY_SETUP Expert options, the business PArtners have been created from OSS.
However the the systems have been created SIDxxxxxxx where xxxxxxxx is a numerical number. I want them to read SIDZZZxxx where ZZZ= a 3 digit identifier for the customer. This is meant to be possible through SMSY_SETUP, but doesnt appear to be working. I used Option A in the "generate systems from OSS" fields.
Is there anyway i can rename the IBASE system names manually, or mass reverse what has been done so I can rerun SMSY_SETUP (and hope it works?)
Is anyone else having similar problems with the pending Enterprise Support rollout?

JRockit is crashing while optimizing the code for the method "com/mobileaware/navigation/a.w()Z". If you can reproduce this with the latest JRockit (R27.3.1), we would very much like to see a reproducer!

  • WPA/WPA2 Enterprise Support -  Please Apple PLEASE!

    I have been searching through this discussion board and I have found many discussions like this one.

    People who complain of not being prompted for a Username and Password for WiFi access are complaining of lack of WPA/WPA2 Enterprise Support for Apple's iPhone. Many college campuses, major workplaces and public libraries use WPA/WPA2 Enterprise support, which prompt you for a Username AND Password.
    Why doesn't Apple's iPhone support one of the most common WiFi protocal's in today's world?
    If Apple doesn't implement WPA/WPA2 Enterprise support, many people are going to look for alternative ways to connecting to a WPA/WPA2 Enterprise WiFi network with their iPhones. Example: hacking their iPhone and using a risky 3rd party application.
    I STRONGLY recommend to Apple to get on this as soon as possible...
    Does anyone know if Apple is working on this currently?

  • SAP Solution Manager - Enterprise Support Report bw cubes

    We are looking at the Infoproviders in Solution Manager BW and noticed the data for SAP Solution Manager - Enterprise Support Report.
    When we look at these cubes, we are particularly interested in the Software Component Versions.
    Unfortunately, all of these data cubes are empty.  Based on some discussions among our colleagues we are wondering if this data is only activated for customers that have the full Enterprise Support agreement in place with SAP?
    If that is the case, then so be it (we don't have that level of support).  However, if that is not the case, can anyone suggest a way to populate these cubes.

    Hi,
    Solution Manager is a separate component and needs to be installed separately (not possible to install on top of R/3 Enterprise).
    You can order SAP Solution Manager Software from SAP or download from http://service.sap.com/swdc
    Solution manager is free from SAP and no additional license involved for it's customer for normal use.
    You can get more information on Solution manager from http://service.sap.com/solutionmanager
    btw: as far as I know for R/3 Enterprise you can still download patches via http://service.sap.com/swdc  without solution manager, For Netweaver 7.0 systems, use of Solution Manager (Maintenance Optimizer) became mandatory.

    I was trying to Install Oracle Enterprise Linux on VM ware version 6.
    My hardware is Intel 32 bit.
    However while booting from the DVD im getting an error as "Your CPU does not support long mode. Use a 32bit distribution."

    I had learned that the free DVD sets that Oracle ships are always for 64-bit systems. Owners of 32-bit systems will have to either download from http://edelivery.oracle.com or copy a distribution DVD from a friend. The 32-bit media can also be ordered from the http://oraclestore.oracle.com site for about $20USD.

    For Enterprise Support, I'm sure that I need to install the addon ST-ETP and to implement the initial setting described the notes [1140258|http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1140258], [1109650|http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1109650].
    But I'm not sure that futher settings are required.
    Is it enough to have Solution Manager Enterprise Edition for Enterprise Support?

    I got an information from a management circle and the German DSAG:
    (translated, not quoted)
    - you have to create a COE (Competence Center of Excellence) with a english speaking support person in 12 months after the enterprise support started (1st of january 2009)
    - you have to grant the necessary permissions on your systems to assist the support in case a remote access is necessary
    - you have to keep the Solution Manager with patches up-to-date
    - you have to use SolMan for the documentation of your core business process (Business Process Monitoring)
    - you have to use SolMan for the documentation of new implementations (Roadmaps)
    - you have to use SolMan to document any modification

    In order to implement Enterprise Support your organization should registered as a Value Added Reseller(VAR) with SAP. You can get all the required documentation under https://websmp104.sap-ag.de/solutionmanager --> Information for VARs, ASPs and AHPs which is in the left hand side of the page. However, you need to have a S-user ID of the VAR.

    I have checked with ISP, there response is like below:
    Those are the NNI to GBNET IPs for Dominican Republic. They are Network IPs. You should be able to ping them-that means they are working.

    After the update to iOS 8 on an iPad 2 I receive the error: "This accessory is not supported by this iPad" using a digital AV adapter. It works for about 20 seconds before I get the error. Same adapter worked with iOS 7.1, same adapter still works on my iPhone 4s with iOS 7.1.
    Curious if anyone else has this issue. The adapter is not a genuine Apple adapter, so I think I'll just buy an official Apple adapter, but I'd love to hear if anyone else has upgraded to iOS 8 and can still use their digital AV adapter on iOS 8 with iPad 2, and what brand of adapter you have.     Still not working. My adapter shows as an apple A1422. I can successfully plug it in to an iPad 2 with an older IOS but mine which is on 8.1.2, gives the error "This accessory is not supported by this iPad." I tried turning off the iPad and connecting it to the tv before turning it on. When it is turned on, it displays on the tv for a moment, then the message pops up and no picture is on the tv any longer. Clicking ok does not change the lack of a picture On the tv, but I can use the iPad as normal.
    I've tried the adapter on a different iPad 2 that is not on IOS 8 and no message appears.
    Help, please!

    carriers pay most of the phones price for the customer
    but this come at the cost of the phone only being able to work
    with the carrier this is called a sim lock
    the only people who can remove a sim lock is the carrier which
    the phone is sim locked to they been doing it like that for at least 20 years

    I want to install Enterprise Manager 10g Grid Control 10.2.0.3 using an existing database. This database is RAC 10.2.0.2. and I use it as Infrastructure Metadata Repository.
    I is said in Oracle documentation that SYSMAN schema has to be dropped, thus Database console repository has to be dropped. As far as I understand after Grid Control installation I will not be able to use Database console for my RAC 10.2.0.2 Infrastructure Metadata Repository database. I will be able to use only Grid Control for this database.
    Am I right? Could you give me any advice about Installing Enterprise Manager 10g Grid Control Using an Existing Database?

    As per my current requirement, while create purchase order (ME21N), the drawing document (which are linked with materials of the PO) should print along with the PO form (smartform). The drawing are stored in the Auto CAD system. Seal software has already installed to print drawing documents.
    But I would like to know the function modules supported by seal system used to print drawing documents.

    May be you can approach it this way
    create a ztable with fields matnr and graphic object(check STXBITMAPS table for the attributes of this field) and upload the drawings against every material.Now you will have a table containing the matnr and the corresponding drawing in the table which can be used for further  processing.
    Hope  any of the SDN experts here will suggest a better solution.
