Entire Music Library Not Syncing

Trying to sync my entire music library of 18.18 GB to the Apple TV. Only able to sync 4 GB of music. My movies and photos are syncing correctly and there is sufficient available space to allow a full music sync. Latest software installed to Itunes and Apple TV. Any help?

is all your content "checked" in the main itunes library window ?

  • Entire music library not syncing - 4s

Just upgraded from iPhone 3 (16G) to the 4s (32G). Strangely enough, all of my music downloads from iTunes into my iPhone3, but my 4s leaves some random albums out. No rhyme or reason as to how it's occuring. Thanks to the extra room, I have NO space constraints. Any ideas as to how to get ALL of my music into my 4s? Thanks!

  • Entire music library not found

My entire music library in iTunes says that it cannot be located. I tried to create a playlist and it says I cant do it bc the song is not found. Now all of my music cannot be located. I haven't done anything to my library, it just happened all of the sudden.
    Can somebody please help?
    Thanks

do you keep your iTunes folder on your startup disk or on an external HD ?
if the former, launch iTunes with the option key pressed and, when prompted, click on +choose library+. now navigate to the +iTunes library file+ inside your iTunes folder.
if the latter, is your entire iTunes folder on the external or just the iTunes music folder ?

  • Music library not syncing

I have 4641 songs in my iTunes library.  When I sync my iPhone only 1106 songs are transferring over.  I have "sync entire music library" checked.  I don't understand why most of music is missing.  I have plenty of room on iPhone for the full library.

  • Pictures on music library not synced properly on my iphone

for example the picture for the rolling stones shows up for adele song  \

I noticed the problem, too. there are a lot of discussion already going on. I would advice you to send feedback directly to apple. All I know is that it happens around 9000+ pics from the million threads I have already read. The problem seems to be getting worse from my point of view. Lately iTunes started to tell me, that 5 year old projects were 'recent', but did not sync any new ones plus stalled in the middle of the process quite a few times. My lib consist of managed photos, older ones imported from iphoto (seems to trouble Aperture even more).

  • Want to import entire music library from iTouch to new HP laptop

I have an iPod iTouch with a music library of about 2500 songs and I have a new HP Pavillion DV6000 Entertainment notebook computer (which runs Vista). My original iTunes library is in my desktop (which runs XP). The iTunes n the desktop is the one the iPod is officially affiliated with. Apple policy states that an iPid can only be affilaited with one computer. I want to import the entire music library (not just songs purchased through iTunes store) from my iPod iTouch into the empty iTunes library on the new notebook. I've heard mention of iGadget, iRepo and IpodAccess but I don't know how to use these to get what I want. Can anybody give input or specific directions to help me?

  • I am trying to sync a playlist to my Nano,  but when I click on the Music tab at the top, it will not allow me to select the option Selected Playlist, Artists, etc.  I cannot un-check the Entire Music library option and check the Selected Artist - on

I am trying to sync a playlist to my Nano,  but when I click on the Music tab at the top,
it will not allow me to select the option Selected Playlist, Artists, etc.  I cannot un-check the Entire Music library
option and check the Selected Artist … one.
I have changed the Sync option to Manually sync, but that does not help.
How can I change this to the second option?
    Thanks.

There is a checkbox above those two options for how to sync.  It says Sync Music; it enables automatic syncing.  That box needs to be checked before you can select from the two options for how automatic syncing is performed.
NOTE:  If the iPod is current set up to Manually manage music [and videos], checking that Sync Music box replaces its current content with content from your iTunes library, based on how automatic syncing is set up on that screen.
So, if your goal is to add ONE playlist to an iPod that is managed manually, you do not want to do this because iTunes will erase the iPod's current content and replace it with just that ONE selected playlist (and whatever else you select on that Music settings screen).
Instead, if the iPod currently uses the manual setting, you need to add playlists manually to the iPod (not use the automatic syncing setting).  Please post back with more details about your situation.

  • I am trying to sync my iphone with itunes music and have selected 'entire music library', which shows a large amount of potential music data to be transferred.  Trouble is after sync, the bar shrinks back to just the content of one particular Playlist!?

Please can anyone help?  I am trying to sync my iphone music with itunes, but am finding that as soon as the sync is complete the data bar shrinks back from almost full (my entire music library) to just 100 songs, which happen to be the contents of one playlist I have.  i cannot seem to change the music content on my phone no matter what?  PS when I hit sync the capacity bar fills up, but when I apply, it drops back to just those songs I already mentioned :- (

thank you randers4, unfortunately these restrictions aren't to blame.  Now I realise the problem - I tried to play some of the music and found out that the source data wasn't attached.  The computer was rebuilt and backed up - and it seems perhaps hasn't all been copied back.  I am currently attempting to copy accross some itunes files from my backup drive.  Bit confused, too many itunes files of different types but fingers crossed getting closer to the solution......?

  • I setup a separate itunes account for my iphone. I put my ipod music onto it. The music will not sync to my iphone. It tells that all info will be lost if I do it. HELP! The music is showing in the library.

you can connect the iPhone to your mac and import those iPhone photos and videos to iPhoto assuming you have iPhoto. You can create a folder and export all those photos to the Finder. Keep safe somewhere.  Also keep the iPhoto library for safe keeping. When you restore your iPhone you can sync all those photos back to the iPhone. so you will lose nothing. Just remember when you export from iPhoto select jpeg for photos and original for videos taken with the iPhone.

An exclamation mark means that it doesn't know where you moved the music to.  To fix this, click on the exclamation point and when it asks you to browse to the location where you moved it to, use the normal commands to go up and down folders in your external drive until you find the song.  Repeat as necessary.

I assume you are talking about iTunes on your computer, if so, you will have to remove all Apple programs associated with iTunes:
iTunes, QuickTime, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device Support, Bonjour and Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Make sure everything that is by Apple is removed including Safari. You can sort by "Publisher", when you uninstall programs. Make sure you have at least one other web browser (like Firefox or Internet Explorer) before removing Safari. That way you can go back to the Apple web site and redownload iTunes later.
Reboot the computer then reinstall iTunes. Everything should work normally.
