Entourage Mail synch

Anyone figure out how to sync your Entourage mail with iPhone? iTunes sees Entourage as my calendar but it does not see it as a mail sync?
I manually set up my mail in iPhone and it is working but iTunes still doesn't see it to sync with my computer.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Robert

After you sync with Address Book, and you uncheck the Sync in Entourage, they will not be deleted from Address Book.
For email, open Apple Mail, File Menu, Import Mailboxes..., then choose Entourage.
Or you can drag each folder from Entourage onto your drive, which makes a ".mbox" file which is compatible with many different mail programs. You can import those into Apple Mail (or into Thunderbird, or into Outlook Express, etc.).
You can also use a Gmail account, using IMAP (not POP), and drag'n'drop the emails from Entourage into that, then connect to it from Apple Mail and have them back.
Killing off Entourage is harder. Assuming you don't want to uninstall Office, you'll at least need to go to System Prefs, Accounts, and delete the Login Item for the Microsoft Database. I'm not sure what other steps may be necessary.

Click on the green button.  Or you adjust from the bottom right to fill the window.   With Mac OS X 10.7 or later, you can adjust from any of the window edges.  Only upgrade to 10.7 or later if you have read this tip:

    Nope.
To see if it's just an Entourage issue, setup your email account in Apple's Mail application. If you can send from that app, then it's definitely an Entourage issue.
If that's the case, then I suggest that since Entourage is not an Apple product you search and/or post your question on Microsoft's own forums for their Mac products, as they would be geared more toward your issue than an Apple forum:

  • Backup 3.0- how to backup microsoft entourage mail with backup 3.0

trying to find and backup my microsoft entourage mail and addressbook, but can't seem to locate them in order to drag them into a new Backup Plan. Anyone know how to accomplish this task?
    Thanks!

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
Microsoft Entourage stores addressbook, mail, and calendar all in one Database file. It is in your Users -> yourname -> Documents -> Microsoft User Data folder. Modify the contents of Entourage to find out which Database file it is.
Just a FYI, if the database gets overfull, that file can easily get corrupted. I personally don't like to use Entourage because of the "all your eggs in one basket" design of this. I ended up migrating everything to Mail, Addressbook, and iCal. While I've forgone the ability to easily categorize mail as Entourage allows me to, it allows me to keep a larger combination of documents together without having to worry about corruption. Feel free to choose whichever method works best for you.

  • Can iPOD touch mail synch with Entourage on my Mac?

Just got a Touch. Before I mess things up with email, what are the recommendations for users? I would assume Apple Mail is the most streamlined but I use Entourage on my Mac Book. Advice?

  • When I click on an email link on a website it doesn't open my entourage mail, I have to cut and paste the email address in

When I am looking at a website and it says contact us with an email address, in the past when I click on this my entourage 'new mail' page would open so I could contact them, but know that doesn't happen and I have to cut and paste the email address into entourage manually, sometime this is not possible becuase the website doesn't actually give the email address just a 'click here' option

  • Mail synch with Outlook 2007 vs. Server

Hey there, I'd like to sort out an issue I'm having with the eMail sync process between Outlook and my iPhone. I hope I'll be able to get this across ...
I like to use my PC as my primary eMail machine, at the same time being able to synch my emails to the iPhone. What I don't like to see is my iPhone synching eMail directly with my eMail Server.
I have connected the iPhone to the PC, using iTunes and I am synching contacts, calender and email through iTunes to the iPhone. However, it seems my iPhone is synching directly with my eMail Server (which sits at my ISP) rather than with my PC. Is there any way to stop this and to make sure the iPhone will synch eMail only with the PC not with the sever?
    Configuration is:
    PC with Vista, Outlook 2007
    iPhone 1.1.4
    Thx !

There is no syncing of actual mail files through iTunes. The settings in iTunes for mail are to configure the Mail accounts on the phone.
The Mail application is a mail client just as you would find on a computer. When you configure the mail account settings, the iPhone accesses your mail servers and retrieves/sends mail.

  • How do you transfer entourage mails from an old iMac to a new iMac

I need to transfer the entourage 2008  mails from my former iMac 23" to a new iMac 27", but the import doesn't work.
    Any suggestion is welcome

Connect the two with a Firewire cable - Transferring files between two computers using FireWire. Boot the old computer into Target Disk Mode and the new computer normally. Open Mail, select Import Mailboxes from the File menu. Select the Entourage option and follow instructions.

  • Sending a e-mail to all people in Entourage mail address book

I have to abandon my present e-mail provider and would like to send a e-mail to all the people in my address book (the one that is integrated in Entourage, not the Apple one). Is there a way of automating this?
Would love to know if anybody has a solution as to how to do this, hate to think I have to do this manually about a 1000 times.
    Thanks

If you have 1000 contacts, you don't need to send 1000 individual messages. You can send one email and place all contacts in the Bcc: field which will hide all email addresses from all recipients.
The only possible limit will be with the email account provider for this account. Most IPSs and email account providers have a total recipient limit per message and/or a total number of recipients limit for all messages sent in a 24 hour period along with a limit for the total number of messages sent in a 24 hour period.
Some ISP's and email account providers also require at least one email address placed in the To: field when using the Bcc field when addressing a message. In this situation, you can place your email address in the To: field and all other addresses in the Bcc: field. You will receive the message but this gets around any such restriction.
You need to determine your email account provider's limit for the total number of recipients per message and/or the limit for the total number of recipients for all messages sent in a 24 hour period before doing so.

  • Urgent Assistance needed - Problems on entourage mail migration from

I was migrating all my Entourage (office for Mac 04) e-mails from my Powerbook G4 to my new MacBook (with office for Mac 08). I see now that I lost all my e-mails (more than 40.000) and I canf found nothing on the HD of the Powerbook G4. I have also lost my backups before so I m in critical position. Somebody can help and give me hints to recover the HD or my emails? Many Thanks L.

Unless you trashed the files, I would think they are still on your Powerbook. If I remember correctly, those files live in a Microsoft folder within the Users folder. You can do a search thru Spotlight.

  • Mail won't import all Entourage mail-- any ideas?

    Hello all,
I started to import my mail from Entourage. Everything went in pretty much fine, except for the SENT folder. It would import, and then when I looked, it was all Sent mail but only up to Oct 18,2008. I then deleted that "Import/Sent" mailbox in Mail.app, then tried to Import again, just checking the "Sent Mail" box when it asks you "which items do you want to import from Entourage", etc...
But still, it would import a huge sent-mail folder, but lacking emails from Oct 18-Dec 10 2008.
Any thoughts on why? Any suggestions on how to just get those SPECIFIC emails from Entourage and put them directly into Mail.app? Is there any way to get those specific ICS files from Entourage and convert them into Mail?
    Thanks- Samantha

  • Mail synching never ends

    Hi,
When I connect my iPhone 3G, the synching process in iTunes 8.02 gets stuck on Synching Mail Accounts - and never ends. I even let the synching run all night, but the process was still going in the morning.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks.

Perhaps the difference is that the account you currently use is not an IMAP account but a POP account, and it is not configured to save messages on the server after retrieval. MobileMe and AOL mail are IMAP mail accounts.
If your present email provider supports IMAP, then change your mail account to use IMAP instead of POP. This will make it easy to keep both computers consistent with email.

  • Can't import Entourage mail into Apple Mail

I'm using Apple Mail 2.1, which appears to be the latest version. I'm attempting to import my email from Entourage 11.2.5 (for OS X). Instead of looking for Entourage, however, Mail opens my old System 9 applications folder and asks, "Where is 12?" Pointing to Entourage just gets the message, "Unable to locate Entourage mailboxes to import." Is Mail broken or is my copy of mail broken?

Last I knew, Eudora ran fine under 10.5.8
Could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at the top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    5. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)

  • Spotlight - Entourage - Mail.app

There seems to be a lot of problems at the moment with Spotlight.
Maybe mine is only a minor one!?
I use Entourage as my main mailing program and have it synchronized with Mail.app. My Spotlight now only finds mail from mail.app and not from Entourage. It was capable of doing that before.
    Any ideas?

If it doesn't work, then you haven't spent much effort in trying.
