Entourage Question: Enabling the "From" field for Send on Behalf emailing..

You know like in Outlook 2003 Pro you can enable the "From" field and send an email as someone else (so long as you have permission to so that is)? How do you enable that same field in Entourage 2004?
best regards,
pheidippides

Hi,
Please make sure Domain1 is trusted by Domain2, then we can assign send as permission to Domain1 users for "DL System Admins" in Domain2.
Thanks,

  • Your  questions are N/A for my lifestyle, I am retired, I was in the medical field for 30 + years

I am retired and have been for many years.  I was in the medical field for over 30 years.   My message is:  Why is Adobe so costly?  When I had my other laptop and my first desktop computer, it was free.    Now it is almost $200.   That is my question and concern.    The trial edition will not download on my  Hp Pavillioin series g laptop........It is a ffarce I think

Since your question and concern is the cost of the software, the software was never free and has always been expensive.  If the software came with your computer the software cost was included with it.

  • Why is the 'From' field necessary?

    Hi all,
I'm sorry if my question is too basic, I couldn't find the answer in the FAQ section.
My question is this: I understood that javamail APIs communicate with the mail server and sends mails after login.
I'm using SMTP and I login the mail server with username and password. How come I can set the from field to something else other than my own email address? Does it mean I can impersonate someone else even though I logined with username and password to my email account?
    Thanks

    Thanks for your reply!
I have an additional question. If I populated the setFrom() method and the mail server disabled this option, will I catch any thrown exception? What type?
    Thanks!!

  • Strange =?ISO etc. in the 'from'-field

When i send mails to people with Outlook and Exchange they don't get my return adress right. Sometimes it says: =?ISO-8859-1?Q?=22My_Name, somtimes =?ISO-8859-1?Q?=[email protected]
It means people can't press answer, but have to write my mailadress in the 'to'-field.
I only have the right server for outgoing messages in the system.
    Anybody have an idea?

This is not a question of not using english, or even ASCII-letters in the e-mailadress. We all know an e-mail address is supposed to be in a-z, 1-9 etc., even the provider who gave me my adresses.
This is a question of why my the address in the 'from'-field is corrupt when i mail corporate mailsystems in Windows, but not standalone applications or macs.
RFC 2822 Internet Message Format April 2001
    2.2. Header Fields
Header fields are lines composed of a field name, followed by a colon
(":"), followed by a field body, and terminated by CRLF. *A field*
*name MUST be composed of printable US-ASCII characters* (i.e.,
characters that have values between 33 and 126, inclusive), except
colon. *A field body may be composed of any US-ASCII characters,*
*except for CR and LF.* However, a field body may contain CRLF when
used in header "folding" and "unfolding" as described in section
2.2.3. All field bodies MUST conform to the syntax described in
sections 3 and 4 of this standard.
Whether that character is in your address or not is irrelevant; it's in the headers and these folks are clearly interpreting the spec very strictly. Take it out and the problem should go away.

  • Enabling Quote custom field for External Pricing Response

    Hi All,
Using UI configuration (adaptation) we are able to define new fields and enable them for standard web services. The result is that they are included in the relevant WSDLs and can be mapped using PI/HCI to equivalent fields in an external system such as SAP ECC.
Looking at Quote's for example, we have defined a new field at Product Item Line level and have the following services we can enable it for.
Enabling for the CustomerQuoteRequestExternalSalesDocumentDataOut outbound service adds the field to the External Pricing request part of the resulting WSDL, however it is not enabled for the response which is key to our requirement.
Is it possible through PDI to enable this field for the inbound equivalent for CustomerQuoteRequestExternalSalesDocumentDataOut??? If not, is it possible to create the field through PDI and enable it that way?
    Thanks
    Indi

    Hi Chandan,
    Thanks for the response.
The External Pricing interface for Quotes is synchronous so has no IDoc as such. We send some parameters to fetch a price from SAP ECC, and the response contains all the pricing information.
In terms of the response, we're able to pass the value we need from SAP ECC to HCI, however there is no place in the WSDL for us to pass it to the field we have defined in C4C.
The WSDL for External Pricing contains both the request and response structures, therefore two root nodes. Adaptation only allows us to enable the field for the request (outbound) node. I'm trying to work out how we can enable our custom field for the response (inbound) node within the WSDL structure.
    Thanks

  • Turn off or restrict Outlook AutoSuggestions on the "From" field

So I'm using Outlook 2007.  My question is: why is the AutoSuggest feature making suggestions on the "From" field when the setting option clearly states that it's only for the To, Cc, and Bcc fields?
Ideally, I'd like to have it only make suggestions for mail accounts that I send from.  But turning the suggestions off for the From field specifically would be an acceptable solution as well.  I don't want to turn it off completely though.
    Anybody have any suggestions?

    Hi,
It seems you are using a custom designed form? In default, we don't use this feature to select the "From" field, we generally select the sender from the "Account" button under "Send":
If you have designed a custom form with the field "From", it will also use the same suggest contacts as To,Cc, and Bcc. But as I mentioned, we generally don't use the "From" field, so that's why it wasn't stated that "From" field also uses the same Auto-Complete
list, we can't change this so far.

  • How can I change the "From:" field in iOS Mail?

    This is a weird one.
I have a gmail work email account that has been set up for me. There's a primary email address assigned to it, and a secondary one (which is the one I want to use).
No problem at all sending from the secondary account on my MacBook Pro. I just hit the drop down menu by the "From:" field, and I can select it from there.
However, when I send from my iPhone, I'm only given the option of sending from my primary email address, not the secondary one. This is despite the fact that I've synced Mail accounts via iTunes.
Any idea how I might fix this so I can send from the secondary account on my iPhone?

First of all, please fill in the Computer Model and Operating System fields on your My Settings’s profile (and click Save). This is essential information that should always be provided when asking for help.
Now, what does “I can't change it” mean? What appears in the From header of the messages you send is determined by your Mail > Preferences > Accounts > Account Information settings...

  • How do you change the "From" field to have a name that you want?

For instance, I receive sports updates from Rotoworld and ESPN. Their email addresses are '[email protected]' and '[email protected]'. Can I change this somehow? Can I change the name so that the From field show what I want it to show instead of the long email address? I would like to just have it say "Rotoworld" and "ESPN".

if you REALLY wanted to you could edit the .elmx email file as a text file and replace the sender name there. this can of course, be automated. However, that would be wa-a-y too much trouble and is entirely not worth it.

  • Problem with the "from" field after upgrading to IOS 7

    Dear list members,
For years I have been using multiple e-mail accounts with my iPhone 4 without any trouble. However, after I upgraded to IOS 7, a strange bug is happening.
When I try to send an e-mail from my iPhone, using my iCloud account, to another person or another account of mine, every time I type an address in the "to" field, the "from" field changes automatically to some of my other accounts (most of them from Google). Then I have to correct the "from" field every time, which is very annoying.
Is there a way to solve this bug?
    Thank you for your attention.

I have a similar problem, using iPhone 4 and iPad 3. I can connect to the iPhone hotspot (iPhone show the blueish bar on top of its screen and says 1connection is active). So far so good, BUT, the iPad gets no symbol (the chain showing its linked) nor internet access. Sometimes the symbol comes but still no internet. By resetting the iPhones network settings I get it to work immidiately after, but after putting my iPad to sleep there will be the same issue over again. Please come up with a solution. Maybe I need to restore both devices? I don't like the idea though. It just works, huh?!?!?

  • Manually change the FROM field in an Response file

    Hi everyone,
I have a question about the generated responses file from an acrobat form.  I can't use the usual E-mail method because apparently the Installed version of Reader that my companies IT department puts out blocks the use of it, people don't see the submit button.
So I set it up in LiveCycle so that a form gets E-mailed to me when a user hit submit.  However when does this way, the FROM field come imports in as Anonymous User when I manually import it.
Is the any way to edit this?  I don't need it to know who sent it, I know the method I'm using doesn't support this.  However I am never adding more than one at a time.  Is there any way I can manually just edit this and change it to the name of the sender?
    Thanks

Thanks.  I will try there as well.  However, even though I created the form using LiveCycle, the responses are still being collected in Acrobat and the response file I am trying to modify is Acrobat as well.

  • SharePoint 2013 Workflow - Change the From Address for an email

    Hello
I am creating a SharePoint 2013 Workflow Manager Workflow to send out an email when a document is uploaded to a document library. I want to set the From address for the Email activity added to my Workflow. There is no option in Properties to change this.
This used to be done when creating a SharePoint 2010 workflow in Visual Studio 2012.
How can I add a From email address for my workflow?
    Thanks
    Yoshi

Having problems getting SPD 2013 installed on my laptop because of a trial of O365, but I know in SPD 2010 you could find the BCC fields, etc... in the Advanced properties, it wasn't directly available via the common interface.  I know 2013 is very
different from 2010, and if I can get it to install correctly, I will update, but look for an advanced property, or an XML view where you can find the FROM: field.

  • 'From' field when sending eMail...

    I'm using Mail, Version 2.1 (752/752.2).
When I send an eMail... the FROM: field always shows my name, ie - From: My Name <[email protected]>
How can I set it up to NOT display My Name?
I would much rather have it say - From: Alias <[email protected]>
Is there a way to do this?

I have Gmail set up on my G5, at home, but not this iBook I am using from my daughter's house. Gmail does not lend itself to use from more that one computer and/or email client. However, I use it, primarily to test to help others.
I think the Gmail SMTP is identifying you, and not the entry you place in Mail's preferences. When you send with the Gmail SMTP, your sent message is archived not only on your Mac's HD, but also on the Gmail server, for you to see using web access. This is different from more typical POP accounts. If you use the Cox SMTP (might require you to have at least set a POP account with them) as the Outgoing Server for the Gmail account, then I think what you place in the Mail Preferences Full Name entry will be included, and not your actual name.
However, I will have to get home to test this. You probably will have a chance to test it, before I do.

I also set up my apple ID with a new email account and also I signed up for iCloud but used the same apple I'd email and password but it gave me a I cloud email! I did activate the favorites in my email . Noticed the from field has my fathers name and contact and it is a notification about me using my apple ID to sign in to FaceTime! Something is messed up, not sure how or why???

i didn't read a lot of your 2nd paragraph, but it seems like the password is the issue, right?
    do a true clean install
reboot your machine and hold down command+option+r, you should see a spinning globe - if you don't see the globe or anything that reads internet recovery, shut down and try again
at menu, chose disk utility and once there, find your HD on the left side, select the physical name and erase it as mac journaled
    exit disk utlity
    at menu, choose install OSX
this time, when it asks for a password just hit continue, it will let you complete without a password
you should be able to get into your laptop, now figure out what password you'll be able to use with your kb issue
