Entourage To PST

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to convert a Entourage database file or rge file into a Windows PST.
The only way I have come up with so far is to connect Entourage to exchange, copy the email into the live mailbox and then access the account with Outlook on a PC and export into a PST.
I hoped there maybe a utility that could do this.
Thanks

You can also try Mail Passport Pro - All in one email converter to convert Entourage To PST. It can convert Apple Mac Mail, Microsoft Entourage Archive 2004/2008, Mozilla Thunderbird, RGE files, MBOX files, EML files to Outlook for Windows PST format.

    Hi,
We can use Entourage to PST Converter to convert Entourage Archive .rge files to PST File, then it would be easy to be imported to Outlook.(We may need to pay for the tool, but there's a Trial version to download)

  • Importing .pst files into mail without a PC

Hello to all those lovely Mac users,
I've got an Outlook .pst file on CD. How can I import mail messages
b without having access to a PC???
The only OS X email client I'm aware of that supports .pst files is entourage 2004 + pst importer for entourage. I, however, only have Office X which is not supported by pst importer. Nor is Office 2004 Test drive.
Thunderbird for OS X is a dead end as well.
    Please help me!

You should probably take a look at one of the following options:
    • ol2mbox (free): http://sourceforge.net/projects/ol2mbox
    • O2M ($10): http://www.littlemachines.com/

  • Outook PST to Entourage, iCal etc?

I know its probably been asked many times before and I have read a few posts and googled it many times. I have Outlook 2007 with about a 2-3gig PST. I am looking to go over to the dark side (iMac) and want to know the best way of converting this into Entourage with attachments dates etc all keep in the emails.
    Any feedback or suggestions welcome.

I ended up getting MobileMe in the end, and it worked a treat...cheers

  • I want to move a pst file from Outlook to Entourage

So far, all I can find out is that I need to have an account on a server running Exchange. I do not have this server so am wondering if there is an 'easy' way to work with Outlook to get my old emails brought across by file.
Thanks for any help that can be put this way.

Much to nobody's surprise, .pst files created by Microsoft Outlook can not be read by Microsoft Entourage.
    You'll need this:

  • How to convert Outlook PST files to Entourage MBOX

I am migrating over to mac after my windows system has been corrupted.
Luckily I had back-up of all my mails in a storage device. Outlook stored them as .pst files.
What I need to do now is take those .pst files and convert them to .mbox files for Entourage 2008.
I have gone through some steps reading online but the were of no use.
Please suggest some helpful solutions as i don't want to waste time blindly searching.
    Thank you

An easy (and free) way to transfer email from Outlook (Windows) to Mail (Mac) is to use an IMAP account (e.g. Gmail) as an intermediary between the two. It's simple and reliable but can be a bit slow for large amounts of email. Expect over an hour per Gigabyte.
Enable IMAP on your email account.
In Windows, open Outlook and add your IMAP account.
Copy the folders (don't drag and drop them) from your PST file into your IMAP account. Drag and drop will move (not copy) your folders and you may lose mail if the communication is interrupted during the move.
On the Mac, open Mail and add your IMAP account.
If you want your mail stored on your Mac, you can copy it from your IMAP account to mailboxes created by selecting "On My Mac" as the location in the new mailbox dialog inside the Mail application.
    Other alternative
You can also use the software approach to solve your problem.
Various softwares/applications/third party tools are available online.
One I am aware of is Pst Converter pro.
    Hope this helps
    thank you

  • How to import PST file into Entourage 2004 ?

    Hello all,
I wonder if somebody can help. I just recently threw my Windows PC out and replaced it by an iMac - I just love it !
One thing still challenges me though. I got all the old contacts and emails in a PST file format, Outlook 2003.
Can anybody tell me how I convert/import them into Entourage 2004 ?
Thanks very much for your help in advance
    Lenochka

The best way is through an exchange server. If you don't have access to one, then there are two more options from the site mentioned above (http://www.entourage.mvps.org/cross_platform/#pst):
"Other options to convert your Outlook mail into the MBOX format.
Use Mozilla Mail. See Dave Riches tutorial here
Use Paul Berkowitz's Export-Import Scripts download here"

  • Opening a .pst file in Entourage 2008

I've just bought an iMac. need help with my data files.
I've made a .pst file of all my emails/contacts etc. that were on Microsoft Outlook 2003. Now for the life of me I can't get it to open in Entourage or any other program on the iMac. I need a quick and painless(buying this machine's already broken my bank, no further expenditure on software please) way to import my data into Entourage. Does anyone know of a way that doesn't involve buying more software?

I was hoping not to have to buy it. How silly Microsoft is. Two of their own softwares doing the same thing don't talk and I need to buy a third party software to get them to talk. This ***** big time.

  • Convert Entourage .rge to .pst to import into MS Outlook 365 for Mac

How can I convert Entourage .rge to .pst to import into Microsoft Outlook 365 for Mac? I have an exported Entourage .rge file and can no longer access the program (on an old computer where the hard drive crashed), so I can't export as MBOX or anything like that. The only options for importing to Mac Outlook 365 are .pst, .olm or Outlook 2011. I've found a lot of places that have rge to pst converters, but they are all under the assumption that it's for going from Mac to Windows, so all the converters I've found are for Windows (download as .exe files). I'm on a new MacBook Pro with Yosemite 10.10.

    Yes and no.
Outlook for Windows (or Mac) can save individual emails as .msg format, Apple Mail cannot import these but there is a utility that can convert them to the .eml format supported by Apple Mail.
    See http://45rpmsoftware.com/mailraider.php
Outlook for Windows can also export entire folders of emails as PST files, again Apple Mail cannot import these but there are utilities which can convert PST files to the mbox format supported by Apple Mail.

  • Converting Email from Outlook (.pst) to Entourage (mbox)

What's the best software that can be installed on a windows computer that will convert email from an outlook 2003 .pst file to an mbox file used in Microsoft Entourage 2008? I want one that is legitimate (genuine), free and can convert over 100 emails.

    There's really only one: Outlook2Mac.

  • What is the equivalent of a PST file in Entourage?

I am new to Mac and not very familiar with Entourage.  I love PST files in Outlook because I like to store emails.  How can I do this using Entourage?

    Simple answer: no.
Entourage is severely crippled compared to Outlook for Windows.  Even the current Outlook 2011 for Mac is quite limited compared to Outlook for Windows.  Microsoft just doesn't apply the same effort to it's Mac products.
Hopefully other people will post workarounds or other tricks you can use.  Otherwise, perhaps ask in Microsoft's Office for Mac forums.

  • Importing pst files into entourage

I am using Entourage to interface with our Microsoft exchange server and its working fine.
However I have all my old Outlook 2004 emails stored as pst files which i used to access offline via Outlook before i bought a Mac
Is there any way i can import these "old" emails into Entourage to give me the same functionality?

PST to Entourage conversion is one of those disgraceful "gaps" that demonstrates Microsofts unwillingness to engage with customers.
There is no built-in mechanism. There are, however, some work-around methods:
    1. Export Data from Outlook to Mozilla Mail (or ThunderBird). Then import into Entourage:
    http://www.riches.com.au/articles/export-outlook-entourage.htm
    2. Do the same, but use Outlook Express as the conduit: http://www.oreillynet.com/cs/user/view/cs_msg/9928
    3. Buy a third-party solution: http://www.littlemachines.com/ Make sure you check for a refunds policy in case it does not work!
    4. Microsofts solution: Convert the PST to Outlook 2001 (Mac Classic) format. Then use a PST Import Tool to get the data into Entourage. Requires you to have a PPC Mac running Classic..... (http://blog.entourage.mvps.org/2007/08/importingfrom_outlook_forwin.html).
    Cheers,

  • Converting Email from Mac Entourage (.mbox) to Outlook (.pst)

Is there any possible solution available for importing entourage 2008 .mbox files to outlook pst (office 2010).
I have already tried the import function and other methods available online but have failed every time.
I dont want many but one solution that will be able to transfer over 5000 mails in one go or as few steps as possible.

What kind of email account? IMAP or POP?
Any IMAP email accounts should be easy as you will just need to add the email account to Apple Mail as any messages and folders should be on the email server.
For POP, then you will need to do some sort of export/import. You could try "drag and drop" from Outlook to Mail. I believe this will work, but I don't fully recall.
Bulk mail transfer can be done best with the help of applications.
Here is one I am aware of:- Entourage to Outlook
    I hope this helps you

  • Outlook emails at work - transferring to mac Entourage or Mail or anything at home !

    Hi,
I use PC Outlook at work.  I have loads of personal emails but work does not allow me to use the "export" function to export any emails from my work system, even if personal (ugh).  So I cannot export my emails or folders as a .pst file (or anything else).
What I am able to do is copy and paste individual Outlook emails on to my personal hard drive, as a .msg file.
Is there a good way I can transfer these .msg files on my hard drive into a readable format on my Mac at home (e.g. I have Entourage or Mail or Yahoo or Gmail)?
I know I will have lost the date/time stamp/ordering system, but I would be happy just to be able to access the email text and attachments (even if not ordered by date/time).  Is this possible?
Apologies if this has been discussed to death on these forums.  I have tried searching the forums but most of the previous discussions seem to presume you can export the files from work, rather than the messy cut and paste of .msg files.
    Thank you.

Oh !  I have now found a discussion thread which recommended this, which looks like a solution: http://www.element26.net/products/shop/outlook-msg-viewer/  .  This forum is great !
But if anyone has a better solution (i.e. a free solution ! ) or a better tip of transferring Outlook emails (without using the "export" function, as it is disabled at work), then I'd be grateful.
    Thanks.

  • Entourage 2008 - Importing from Outlook 2007 ???

Hi guys, just got a MacBook Pro this week and I had reserved a copy of Office 2008 which I got today.
It's great because that's what I was waiting for to put my PC on sale
BUT i was astonished to see that there's not the option to import pst files in Entourage ??
I was using Office 2007 for PC therefore Outlook 2007.
The only way we can export stuff is by creating .PST files, so you can backup all your contacts, your messages with attachements and your calendar (which are my 3 priorities).
Using the equivalent application from Microsoft but for the Mac, that is : Entourage 2008, there's not the option to import .pst ?? What the heck ??
So please guys if you know a way to export my stuff (messages, contacts and calendar) from Outlook 2007 PC to Entourage 2008 MAC, please let me know !!!
    THANK YOU !!

    Hey guys,
I don't want to be repeting by here's the way I worked this out :
    EMAILS
First I installed Thunderbird on my Win computer.
Then I imported from outlook. It took a while since my PST was like 3 Gb.
At first I was crashing it but then I let it work for a try and it imported everything perfectly, but not showing any progress bar during the process.
Second, I searched Thunderbird help for the way to export in MBOX, and it pointed out that I sould get a plug-in, which I did.
Third, having installed the plug-in, I had a tool menu for exporting. Only thing I had to do is select each folder one by one and export them using this plug-in, I only had to add .MBOX extention to every file.
Finally, when you get these files in OS X with entourage, you just drag and drop them in entourage and them import perfectly.
That did the job for me anyways.
    CONTACTS
Send yourself emails of contacts !
I sent myself email (with the WORK OFFLINE option so I wouldn't receive them in outlook) in the contacts from outlook.
As you can imagine, I totally got rid of Outlook, and of Windows actually, by now but as I remember it when you right click on a contact you have an item that's called something like "send full information of contact through email".
So to keep my categories I sent one email per categories.
Back in entourage, I had to save attachements, import them, put them in a category.
Then next email, etc. and so on.
    CALENDAR
I haven't found a way to do this but what I did was : In outlook you have a way to display your calendar events by a list, so I just made a couple of print screen of that list and I put the future events that I wanted to keep in Entourage.
    And the conclusion is :
Well I said byebye to Entourage because I don't need MS Exchange support and I hate Microsoft more and more everyday so I'm using Mail, Address Book and iCal now
But I could easily import from entourage into all of these.
The only microsoft apps I still are the must-have : word, excel and powerpoint 2008.
