Entry Point Drop Site Key (to 9 chars) = LOCY11740 has no effect
We have the following entry in two places within our .PST file.
Entry Point Drop Site Key (to 9 chars) = LOCY11740
I am expecting to see "LOCY11740" in position 52 of the .CSM mail.dat file. Instead I see "ORIGIN".
We are testing using Presort rel 8.00c.09.00 and generating vers 11-2 Mail.Dat files.
1. Am I using the correct parameter in the PST file?
2. Is there another PST field that is causing "ORIGIN" to appear?
Postal 1 TEM will flag CSM entries with "ORIGIN" as warnings. One for each CSM record!
Hi Paul,
Kendra is correct, according to latest mail.dat spec 12-0 (and also in 11-2) the description of the field Entry Point - Actual / Delivery - Locale Key says
US = LOCA12345 (LOC plus 6 bytes of the Locale key from the drop ship product); u2018ORIGINu2019 for origin entered mail; CAN =A1A 9Z9; u2018FORu2019 for International mail. The field can have a Locale key for origin entered mail when USPS Pick Up is equal to N. See Scenarios and Definitions Sections for alternatives for populating this field. Use value of u2018ORIGINu2019 for Origin/DMU Entered mail OR for US Drop Ship, Zone Skipped, and BMEU entered Mail use the Locale Key ("LOC" in the first 3 bytes, balance is the 6-byte of the USPS dropsite key, also known as the Locale Key); For Canadian mail, use 6 digit Canadian code of Entry facility e.g., A1A9Z9.
According to PostalOne! tech guide available at https://ribbs.usps.gov/intelligentmail_guides/documents/tech_guides/datspec/PostalOneMailDatTechSpec.pdf says the same thing.
0673
Alphanumeric Data Type Error: Entry Point u2013 Actual/Delivery Locale Key must be an alphanumeric value, must contain 'ORIGIN' when the Entry Point for Entry Discount Facility is set to O or H, and must precede with "LOC" plus 6 alphanumeric characters when the Entry Point for Entry Discount Facility is set to B, R, S, D, A, C, K, J, E, L, T, or Q in the .csm file.
Presort is correct in populating this field with ORIGIN in case of Entry Point Type ="O-Origin".
Thanks
Anita S.

Changing modifier keys in keyboard preference pane has no effect
I use a standard "windows" usb external keyboard. In 10.5 you could remap the "Command" and "Option" keys to match the "Mac" layout. In 10.6 the preference pane is still available, but no matter how you change the pop-up menus the keyboard layout is not changed. See http://iamwa.de/45
I have verified this to be the case with three different USB keyboards.@mtrichardson: THANK YOU!!! I've been having problems my modifier keys for months, and was using the section of the modifiers that affected ALL keyboards to swap the modifier keys. That section was apparently removed in snow leopard which left me high and dry until I saw your post. I tried unplugging the mouse and THEN configuring the USB keyboard, and that did the trick!
Mouse is a logitech mx revolution, which I love, but it apparently causes some strange side effects. I should never have installed Logitech's drivers.
Thanks again,

.PST settings for .CSM Entry point locale key field
We have been instructed by the USPS to populate the .CSM Entry Point Postal Code with the ZIP+4 of the BMEU, which is 48233-9997. The .CSM Entry Point Locale Key field should be populated with the Locale Key of the BMEU, which is Y11740.
What and where is the PST settings that may affect these changes?
For entry point zip code, I updated "Origin Post Office ZIP Code (10 chars)=".
For entry point locale key, I updated "Entry Point Drop Site Key (to 9 chars)=".
The CSM shows the updated zip code in positions 59-67. However, in the locale key, positions 50-58, I see "ORIGIN". If I search the .PST file, I find no setting with ORIGIN.Paul,
Can you please tell us what is your Entry Point Type and Origin Post Office ZIP code?
Thanks -

Hi,
In Web Page composer blog ,in the inital step it is given create web site 'Knowledge Bank'.In that folder 4 folders were created automatically i.e.1) Entry point 2)Site content 3)Site navigation and 4) Web pages. from the following link :https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/209dd2c1-28ec-2a10-0c90-c0ccebc003e5
Here in this i need the concept of Entrypoint and what exactly it does in web pageHi Vijayalakshmi,
An entry point provider makes one or more folders available as links that you can access from a central point.
Please refer to this.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/f6/da3340284e7a56e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
In this context as soon as you create an entry point, you can upload site specific/ global content and images or documents into these folders
Let me know if you still have any questions on it.

TNS Listener: Entry Point Not Found
First I installed 8.1.6 Personal edition
on my laptop (NT4 SP5):
Folder: d:\orant.
Oracle Home: DEFAULT_HOME
That went fine. I could connect to the database with SQLPLUS, DBA etc.
Then I tried to install Portal using:
Folder: d:\9iAS
Oracle Home: iSuites
Spent three days trying to get Portal to install ok. Have finally got through the installation of 9iAS (HTTP Server Only), which the Universal Installer claims to be successfull.
Started the Apache Server and tried to connect to the portal. I get the following error message:

I can access the admin page:

I have tried swicthing my primary Oracle Home using the Home Selector. Did not help.
Shouldn't the TNS listener be started, or?
Any ideas what to check?I have found the solution of my problem from Oracle9i Portal's Configuration Guide , the troubleshooting part. The document can be found in the Oralce9i Documentation web site.
The problem is that I set the incorrect information in my tnsnames.ora file when installing Oracle9i Portal.
The solution is set the host name, port number and SID in the tnsnames.ora file. This file is located at
\Oracle_Home\network\admin\
Here is the example of the content in that file:

Why are there no BMC discounts on qualifying pieces for 2 ASF entry points?
I've had no luck whatsoever trying to log a case for support, I can't navigate the already cumbersome SAP Support Portal without getting errors so I thought I would try the forums... this is my first post:
I have a Standard Automated Letter (rate category regular) Presort, there is nothing unusual about its setup but the results seem to be incorrect: some pieces aren't getting appropriate DBMC discounts.
About the presort job and the output results:
u2022 contains all possible BMC & ASF entry points
u2022 output for all entry points look good EXCEPT for 2 ASFs: ASF-BUFFALO and ASF-OKLAHOMA CITY
u2022 the Postage Statement shows that all pieces that qualify for those 2 ASFs are not getting the DBMC discount (Entry Rate="None" for those pieces), although based on the ZIP ranges they appear to qualify for the discount
u2022 I double checked each of these 2 ASFs on USPS's FAST site to verify the ZIP ranges
other details:
u2022 currently using Presort Views 7.90c, Revision 3 (with Engine Revision 4)
u2022 each entry point not getting the discount has 1 Mixed AADC tray (I posted AP.Ctn_Level to the output files for ease of finding this out), however I'm not sure why this would affect any discounts
u2022 if Mixed AADC trays ARE what's causing the discount to not apply then I believe Presort is not processing these pieces correctly
As a test to see if the output would be different I changed a setting that I've never had to change before: I reran the presort with the ENTRY POINT TYPE changed (for only the 2 ASFs in question) from ASF to BMC-- the resulting Postage Statement shows almost all pieces in these ASFs (except 34 Mixed AADC pieces in ASF-BUFFALO) are now getting the DBMC discount! This may serve as some sort of workaround but I don't believe the results are 100% correct, the Entry Point Type for ASFs should be set to ASF otherwise the information in the Mail.dat files may cause a problem.
A couple more things to note just in case they affect anything: the presort is using a Basic Service IMB, and the scheme that these ASFs are qualifying under is Letter Trays on Pallets.
Is the output from Presort actually incorrect, or is there a setting (something that won't affect the other entry points) that can to be changed so the output will be correct?Roy,
We are aware of an issue with relabing BMC pallets to get the correct discounts in 7.90. There are some work arounds for this until it is corrected in the software. In order to give you the best work around for your job please open a support case. Below are the steps to create a message for support.
To log a case go to the SAP Service Market Place
1. Go to http://service.sap.com.
2. Click on SAP Support Portal.
3. Enter your S-User ID and password and click u201COKu201D.
4. Click u201COKu201D on digital certificate.
5. Enter your S-User ID and password again and click OK.
6. Click OK on the following screen.
7. (This step is Optional) Setting up your Single Sign-on allows the site to remember your login and not prompt for it so frequently. To do this, click my Profile at the top of the page. Then click Maintain my Single Sign-on Certificate on the left of the page and follow the instructions.
8. After the Single Sign-On, Click on Help & Support and click Report a Product Error. Under System Search, click the drop down arrow next to your installation and choose your system, and click Search and then click on the BOB link.
9. When creating a SAP message it is required to search for Notes. (Knowledge Base articles) to see if you can find an answer to your question without having to log the message for support. In the Search Terms area, type your question and click Continue.
10. If you do not see any Notes pertaining to your question click on Create Message.
11. Choose the correct Component for the product you are creating the message for. The component is the support Q that your call will go into so the correct team can assist you. To do this click on the icon next to the icon next to the Component window to see a drop down list.
12. Click the arrow by BOJ-EIM to see a more detailed list. By each component the names of the u201Cproductsu201D you are using are listed. Choosing the correct component will get your Message logged for the correct support team.
For example:
a. BOJ-EIM-COR is used for ACE, DataRight IQ, Match/Consolidate, IACE, and FirstPrep products.
b. BOJ-EIM-COM is used for DeskTop Mailer, Business Edition, Presort, PrintForm, Label Studio
c. BOJ-EIM-DEP is used for DQXI, Data Insight, eDQ Infa, SAP Siebel, PSFT, Oracle, Rapid Library
d. BOJ-EIM-DF is used for Data Federator
e. BOJ-EIM-DI is used for Data Integrator, Text Analysis, Data Services
f. BOJ-EIM-DS is used for Data Services, Fazi/Fuzzy
g. BOJ-EIM-MD is used for Metadata Manager and Composer
h. BOJ-EIM-RMA is used for RapidMarts, BOW
13. After choosing the component, fill in any remaining required/optional items. **Required fields under Problem Details are flagged with a red asterisk.
· In the Short Text box, enter a brief description of the question or issue.
· In the Long Text box, you can go into further detail about what you are seeing or questioning.
· On this page also you can select to attach files if needed (please zip your files).
· When you are finished you can either click on Save Message or Send Message. If you click on Save
Message, the message WILL NOT be sent to support, it will remain in the Draft section of your u201Cmy

Updated to 10.5 on XP and now iTunes will NOT open - Entry Point Not Found - HELP!
Tried to update to iTunes 10.5 on Windows XP. Everything seemed to install properly and I restarted. However, when I try to open iTunes, it will not open and I get the following error message:
iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found
'The procedure entry point AVCFAssetClassWithByteStreamAndOptions coulf not be located in the dynamic link library AVFoundationCF.dll'
When I click 'OK' (which is the only option), it says:
'iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes.
Error 7 (Windows error 127)'
I have updated iTunes on my machine in the past numerous times without ever having an issue. Now, I get this and cannot access iTunes at all. I have tried reinstalling 10.5 and restarting my machine about five times now...to no avail. I am hesitant to remove iTunes, since I have 6000 songs and do not want to lose my library. Is there anything I can do? Seems like it should be a simple fix.
When I called Apple, they told me to upgrade my OS to Vista. Huh? That seems like overkill to me. iTunes has always run fine on XP.
Please help!I found another site and it suggested that I go through System Preferences and check downloads again. The iTunes update was still there indicating that it still needed to be downloaded. So I downloaded it again and now it works fine. I hope this might help someone else.
Thank you -
Hi
I have tried to research these problems I am getting, but have not been able to resolve them.
1st is the above DDE Server Windows iTunes.exe - entry point not found.
This only occurs when I try to start iTunes.
if I click ok , several times, iTunes will start but slowly.
If at any time I have to reboot my computer I get
iTunesHelper.exe - the procedure entry point asl_add_log_file could not be located in the dynamic link library ASL.dll
if I click 3 times OK it goes away.
To this end I have uninstalled iTunes and rebooted my machine then gone to iTunes web site and downloaded the latest version.
Installing it but still get the same errors on reboot and trying to run iTunes
Anyone any ideas please.
I have a self build PC it has an Intel core 2 quad Q6000 @ 2.40GHz
Ram 4.00GB
32bit OS
Windows 7 Ultimate SP1
Firewall - Zonealarm
Virus - Zonealarm
Thanks in advance

Message was edited by: YbslikTaken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (If you've got XP, although the procedure is for Vista and 7, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

Is there any other error message or details?
Wich version are you using? What are you trying to do in the assistant (create rep, drop rep, ...)? Did this software ever worked or is this a new installation?
Usually, this is related to the PATH variable and a new installation of other oracle products.
If this persists, try deinstall a install OWB again.
Good luck!

ADF Task Flow: Using Task Flow Call as Application Entry Point
In our product we have a task flow structure very similar to the Fusion Order Demo application, but we are having serious trouble reproducing the documented functionality of ADF Task Flows.
Specifically, we cannot use a task flow call as an entry point for our application, which is very important for us to achieve.
The [Developer s Guide|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/web.1111/b31974/taskflows.htm#ADFFD1634] states about the [demo application|http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/samples/fod/index.html] :
"A Fusion web application always contains an ADF unbounded task flow, which contains the entry point or points to the application. Figure 14-3 displays the diagram for the unbounded task flow from the Fusion Order Demo Application. This task flow contains the Home, *MyOrders*, *checkout*, registerUser, and updateUserInfo *view activities, which are all entry points to the application*."
"The checkout-task-flow activity in Figure 14-3 is a call to an ADF bounded task flow."
When we run the Fusion Demo Application, we are only able to use home, updateUserInfo and register as entry points.
We cannot enter the application through any of the task flow call activities (MyOrders and checkout) as the documentation suggests.
What are the reasons for this and how do we fix it, so we can use task flow call activities as application entry points?
Thanks.
Edited by: Rune Glerup on Oct 9, 2009 2:51 AM
The forum did not display the link to "Developer's Guide" because the link contained the single quote char '. Single quote char removed. Is what you mention here the case in the Fusion Order Demo application?
If the task flow call activities cannot be used as entry points, why is it stated in the documentation?
How do we solve this, so that the task flow call activities (including parameter bindings) can be used as entry points, like the documentation suggests? -
Does anyone have experience with this issue when connecting to a Linux FTP Web Server running a FTP Site?

I cannot access the root directory of the ftp file server using Web Matrix 3. The site is .php based, and

All sites have been deleted from Web Matrix, the user Application Data has been cleared and Web Matrix has been reinstalled.

Thanks in advance,
JustinTurns out that the program leaves metadata in your app data folder that is not removed upon uninstallation of the software.
This is incorporated to communicate with a file that uploaded into the ftp directory when publishing pages. -
Hi,
After upgrading from 8.1.7.0 to 8.1.7.4 on Windows 2000 server, when I try to start the Oracle service for a SID, I get an error message that the procedure entry point kglttr cannot be found in orageneric8.dll.
The installation was done using a silent install. The user id had full administration rights. The silentInstall.log file indicated a successful completion of the installation. The server was rebooted after the installation.
Any suggestions? I've got a customer site where I need to do this ASAP, and I can't turn the process over to them until I get this fixed...
