  • Tried to upgrade and after uninstalling and reinstalling several times, keep getting "procedure entry point could not be located in dynamic link library" followed by "iTunes was not installed properly"  Error 7.....Help, please??

Tried to upgrade as instructed and after uninstalling and reinstalling (even back to the former iTunes which I was happy with)several times, keep getting message "Procedure entry point could not be located in dynamic link library"  followed by "iTunes was not installed properly"  "Error 7".    Help, please??

Entry point errors can usually be fixed by deleting the offending dll, then repairing the component it is part of from the programs and features control panel. Unfortunately you neglected to include the detail of which dll is mentioned.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

  • Entry 0 is not defined as printing character - 8A651

Hi. We're implementing Electronic Invoice WS SAP standard solution. At the moment all customizing has done. When we create a billing the VF01 transaction ends right. But when we call transaction VF02 it tell us that the invoice # doesn't exist, and send us an e-mail whit "Entry 0 is not defined as printing character" error # 8A651.
Somebody know some solution to this problem ?
    Thanks

    Hi Santore,
You may want to take a look at [SAP Note 528639|https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=528639] regarding this issue.
I am guessing you are performing printing for a Company Code not belonging to Argentina Company Code, which may be causing this problem as your customizing is Argentinian specific.
You could however alternatively try to print it using tcode IDCP.
    Hope the above helps.
    Thanks.

  • Procedure entry point could not be found

I installed the trial version of PS CS6 on my Windows XP, but when I try to open the program I get an error message saying procedure entry point could not be located. How can i fix this so i can use the program?

Photoshop CS6 requires Windows XP SP3.

Is your XP up to date? Perhaps running SP2?

  • Dreawmeaver CS6 fails to launch: "entry point could not be located"

I've tried to launch DW CS6 this morning and keep getting  "The procedure entry point could not be located in the dynamic link library D:\Adobe Creative Cloud\Adobe Dreamweaver CS6\Dreamweaver.exe"
I recently installed Windows 8 Pro over the weekend and then had to re-isntall my Adobe software from my Creative Cloud subscrption, but DW was working fine yesterday.
I've tried uninstalling DW and re-isntalling it without success - same error every time.
InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop launch without incident, there's nothing relevant I can find via Google, so I am stumped.
Does ayone have any suggestions I might try?
    Update:
Ikandi Design! reported a similar issue: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4757157
    - re-installing XP seems like an extreme solution, not really a viable option for me
denniscking also reporting similar issue:  http://forums.adobe.com/message/4823191#4823191

Same issue here. How could there still be no response to this? I was going to use CS6 since it has integrated PhoneGap support and actually knows what ColdFusion is. Very dissappointing!

  • Causes of "plugin entry point could not be found"

    Hi,
I had a report from a user of
my most popular plugin (i.e., mature and extremely well tested), that it failed to work for him on Photoshop CS3 Extended + Vista Business 32-bit.
The error message when he used the plugin was "Could not save as ... because the plugin entry point could not be found."
Is there anything new about CS3 Ext that might cause this? (The plugin is known to be compatible with Vista.)
I have not had other reports like this, so I am currently concluding it's an oddity of his installation.
    --Toby

    Today is 4/11/2011.
I used the .ico plugin 4 days ago without any problem.
Then, suddenly tonight it would not work.
The post above by "Jas_" correctly identifies the problem as a "file permission issue".
I am running Windows 7 64 bit with Photoshop Elements 7.0 and this version of the .ico format plugin.
For some reason the "permissions" for the group "Users" on the ICOFormat.8bi file (located at: \Adobe\Photoshop Elements 7.0\Plug-Ins\File Formats\ICOFormat.8bi) were "read and execute", but not "Full control".  once I changed the settings back and restarted the computer, I was able to "save as .ico" again with no problem.
(mostly) STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS for Windows 7:
    1. Locate your "ICOFormat.8bi" file
Navigate to Drive Letter (usually C:), Program Files, Adobe, Adobe Elements (what ever version you are using), Plug-Ins, File Formats, and voila... ICOFormat.8bi should be in this folder. (if it is not, then the plugin is not installed, or not installed correctly (see this link to install))
    2. Right Click the ICOFormat.8bi File and select Properties.
    3. Select the Security Tab
    4. Click the "Edit" button beneath the "Group or user names:" box.
    5. Click on each group and determine whether the "full control" check box is checked in the "allow" column.
In my case, the "users" group was allowed to "read and execute", but did not have "full control"
    6. If each group does not have "full control", then Click the "allow" box next to "full control" (as long as you're not trying to prohibit a user from using this plugin, that is... >:-)
    7. Apply All Changes.
    8. Restart your computer.
    9. Open you would-be favicon in Photoshop Elements
10 File, Save as -- .ico...   Poof!   Done!  Fixed!  Yaay!

  • The Procedure entry point Could not be located in the dynamic Link Library

I have recently received an error message that starts out with "The Procedure entry point XXX Could not be located in the dynamic Link Library" and then I get an Error 7 (Windows error 127). iTunes will not start. I have uninstalled all Apple programs and then re-installed them. Still no luck. I am running Windows 8.1. I have tried systen restore too but with no luck.
Any solutions or suggestions. This only started this evening when I tried to open iTunes!

There are several different scenarios that could lead up to the error, but typically it arises because an older version of the .dll has been copied into the wrong folder to workaround a different problem, and now after updating iTunes the outdated .dll that gets called cannot handle the request made of it.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.

  • Getting a 'Procedure entry point ons_subscriber_cancelcallback' - not found error on 2.121.1.0

After installing 12C ODP.NET client with the xcopy deployment, my application gets a
"Procedure entry point ons_subscriber_cancelcallback could not be located in the dynamic link library oraons.dll" while createing a new oracleConnection Object.
Registry and GAC looks clean. I've installed the new client to a new location.
Tried with the old 2.112.3.0 odp.net driver - Recompiling using the 2.121.1.0 driver did not help.
    Any Ideas?

I believe the root cause of this problem is the Oracle xcopy install directory was not added to the Windows system PATH. This is described in step 4 of the xcopy README install instructions.
    ====================
    4. Add the install directory and install directory's bin subdirectory to the system PATH environment variable before any other Oracle directories. Otherwise, the products that are installed may not work properly as it will not be able to load the necessary DLLs. for example, if c:\oracle was provided as the install directory, add c:\oracle and c:\oracle\bin to the system PATH.

  • QT 7 gives install error prcedure entry point could not be located

    Installed QT7.
When I tried to start it, got message
    Procedure entry point CFUniCharGetNumberofPlanesforUnicodePropertyData
could not be located in the Dynamic Link Library QTCF.dll
    followed by
Quick Time failed to initialize Error# - 2093

    Thank you Georgia!
Those look okay. QuickTime.qts and QuickTimeVR.qtx are QuickTime files that are supposed to be there. qtintf.dll is a Delphi-Qt2.x Interface Library. Quick.IME is an input manager used to display East Asian language on the PC, and QUTIL.dll is associated with your quarantine utilities for your Windows filewalls.
So if there isn't a misplaced QTCF.dll, there might be damage to the one in the right place. So we'll try a repair install again, taking a few extra explicit precautions this time.
Restart the PC. Do not open any applications after the restart. Disconnect from the internet and/or your network. Now switch off all your security software (firewall, antivirus, antispyware).
Now navigate to C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QYSystem\ and drag the QTCF.dll out onto your desktop.
Now open your "Uninstall a program" control panel. Select QuickTime and click "repair".
Reenable all your security software prior to reconnecting to the internet and/or your network.
With the fresh QTCF.dll in place, does QuickTime now launch without the error message?

  • Why does itunes say the entry point is not found

why does itunes say it didn't install correctly and to reinstall?

Greg, did the "Patchburn" really work for you?
I had the same problem today. I have a smart playlist made up of: Kind>is>Protected AAC audio file. This smart play list allows me to keep track of music I've downloaded from the iTMS after inadvertently deleting the Purchased Music default playlist. Yes, I know a new “Purchased Music” playlist is created when you buy music again, but it doesn’t contain any of the songs you’ve already downloaded.
When I went to burn this playlist (several hundred songs) to multiple audio CD format - I go the same result you got.
"After asking to burn a play list it asks to insert CD, checks the media, checks the play list and then stops with the apple icon reappearing and NO error message."
Apple tech support couldn’t help me - I found that out the hard way - after 1.5 hours on the phone. No, I haven't exceeded the 7 time burn limit either.
I tried selecting all the songs in the smart playlist and creating a new [regular] playlist and tried to burn from that, but got the same result.
Finally, I tried typing "Protected AAC audio file" from my main library in the search window, selected all the songs that resulted, created a new [regular] playlist from that selection and the burn was successful.
It was a real pain and took almost 3 hours to figure out, but it worked. I'm going to try the "Patchburn" download talked about earlier, but don't know if that's the real problem.
Yes, I have upgraded my SuperDrive, but iTunes recognizes it - Preferences>Advanced>Burning - if your drive shows up here then that's not the problem. Besides, I had the same problem when trying to burn to the original SuperDrive too.
I think the problem may be deeper inside iTunes itself. Duh! Maybe something with Apple tightening their DRM scheme which may make us unwitting beta testers to see if they tightened the noose too tight or not. Just a guess.
    Any thoughts, anyone?

  • Mda_sap.dll was loaded, but the dllregisterserver entry point was not found

    Good Afternoon everyone,
I am having an issue with universe designer on my pc. when i try to create a new connection, the designer crashes and closes. i have had sap help me out and they are at a loss, except for saying that i should reload the integration kit again.
but, before they suggested that, they wanted me to add a dll, mda_sap.dll into the program files\business objecbusinessobjects enterprise 12.0\win32_x86 directory and run regsvr32 to register it.
When i do this, i get the error in the subject line. i have searched this online and all i get is visual basic answers based on dll that have been created. this dll is a sap dll that should have been loaded previously.
    fix pack 3.2
    thanks,
    Erik

    Hi,
MDA_sap.dll  is delivered by the "integration for sap solutions"  aka the integration kit.  (which is an add-on patch, after the normal bobj client tools intallation)
Basically, it's so that you can create OLAP universes ontop of BW BEX queries.
You haven't explained if MDA_sap.dll  is missing?  needs re-registering? was proven through investigation to be the root cause?  is this guess work ?
Anyway,  it sounds like your installation is messed up.  I would go further than reinstalling the SAP IK,  and recommend that you uninstall/reinstall all bobj client software. (or better still, re-image the entire O/S,  because the registry could be corrupt under HKLM/Software/BusinessObjects)

    H
