Enumerate print jobs in queue

How can you use print.* to enumerate print jobs in the queue? Would anybody have sample code to enumerate print jobs, or there attributes in the print queue?
Please help me :).

  • Cannot cancel print jobs from queue in Windows

We have some print jobs we sent to the Bonjour printer when we were off network, they still show in the windows queue, but we cannot cancel them, any suggestions?

Short of removing Bonjour, then reloading it, not much. Presuming you're using Windows, have you tried deleting them, then turning off the computer, then turning it back on? Sometimes that does it.

  • Hoiw to remove print job from queue?

How can I remove a "print job" from the queue.  Selecting "cancel all printing jobs" will not remove it.  It says it is deleting, it is not doing anything.   Help please.    As long as this job is showing the printer will not print anything else.

    Hi Betty,
    Welcome to the HP Forum.
The job queue may be stuck.
    Switch off the printer
IF you are running a notebook, first do this:
Create a Restore Point:   Create a Restore Point – Win7  OR  Create a restore point Win8
Close all your programs and Shut down the computer
Disconnect everything (little Unifier for the keyboard / external mouse can stay)
Perform the Hard Reset for your notebook model
Boot the computer and log in
    OR
If you are not running a notebook, just
Create a Restore Point:   Create a Restore Point – Win7  OR  Create a restore point Win8
    stop all your running programs,
    shut down completely
Boot the computer and log in
Switch on the printer and wait until it is all back up and running.
That probably won't fix the queue, but it will clear the rest of the cobwebs.
    Next, try this:
    Control Panel> icon view > Administrative Tools> Services>
Click on Name to sort the column alphabetically >
Scroll down and look for Print spooler> Highlight Print Spooler>
    Click Restart the service
Click the Kudos Thumbs-Up to show appreciation and say Thanks.

  • Deleting print jobs in queue of hp officejet pro x64

I'm unable to print anything because there are 5 jobs in the queue - how do I delete those 5 jobs?
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    Hi,
From the Desktop, hold down the Windows key and press R.  Into the Run window, type services.msc and hit enter.  Browse down to the print spooler service, right click it and select Properties then click on the Stop button.  Now browse to C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS and delete the jobs inside this folder - You may need to click a prompt to gain the appropriate authority to open the PRINTERS folder.
Restart the computer and you should find the documents have been removed.

  • How do I cancel printer job queue? CanonBJC-250 will not function because of long queue. cannot find control.

Apparently the print order was pressed several times. Now there is a long list of print orders and the printer will not work.

This is more of a Ubuntu-related question than a Firefox one. When print jobs are queued up, you should get a printer icon in the notification area (beside your clock by default). Clicking on the printer should allow you options to cancel the print jobs. Give it a try -- I can't guarantee if it works as I haven't got any printers installed in my Ubuntu.

  • Printer doesn't finish printing when multiple jobs in queue

I have a Laserjet 2200D that connected to a computer running 10.4.11 over USB and prints just fine when I only have one print job in queue. The issue comes up when I have multiple print jobs going to this printer, the printer will actually stop the current job it's printing and start the next job, but not finish the previous print job. If I start to line up print jobs in queue, it will only print some of the pages and then proceed to print the next job, but the previous job is already out of the queue and gone. What could possibly be wrong?

THe computer had leopard installed when I got it. It's a new macbook. It shouldn't be this complicated!
No, it shouldn't. But it also wasn't necessary to install any drivers. That's why you should reinstall the Canon drivers from the Leopard dvd.
The reason I installed the drivers is I first was trying to print wirelessly like I did with my old ibook G4 without any problems. When I couldn't get the shared printer to show up, I then read the documentation from apple tells you to make sure both computers are running the same drivers. So I installed the newest drivers which are for leopard from canon's site, but still no luck. The driver from Canon has the same version number as the one listed in the leopard documentation, so it shouldn't matter.

  • Gutenprint with HP 2100--hangs up between print jobs. Help?

Working on hooking up HP Lazer Printer 2100 with OS 10.9.1
Have successfully installed Gutenprint 5.2.9 and usbtb
USB hookup to computer (Mac Pro).
Printer working but only one job at a time. After each print job, the queue hangs up (saying printer not responding). If I click the pause button and then the go button again, printer prints the next job fine.
I am no expert on this sort of thing and am already giving myself some serious high fives for having gotton this far after everyone told me to simply ditch my old 2100 and buy a new lazer. So now if I can work around this problem, I think I'm good to go.
    Anyone with suggestions?

    Hi,
I got an HP2100 for ages now. My wife can print only sometimes with 10.4 with generic drivers and I can print better with 10.5. Just today the printer did not want to talk to me anymore and the only way to connect was with Appletalk enabled over ethernet cable. That works usually very reliably for me.
Going over airport to the printer (through the wireless router) is the flakiest. I know this sounds bad but once it works it usually works.
Regarding your specific issue: One thing that helps is to hold down the little button on the control panel and then the bigger one in the front for a while. When released, the printer will print a Jetdirect Configuration page and a self test configuration page. That will tell you a lot.
Hope you find a bit of usefulness in my response.

  • How to cancel a print job in progress

I have a HP C5580.  When i was using Windows ME on my former PC, I could easily go to Printers, select the 5580,  hit documents in queue, and hit cancel , and the printer stopped.
Got a new Compaq  PC with Windows 7, and I can't figure out how to cancel a print job  mid stream.  I go to Printers and Devices, giet the page that allows me to view the print jobs in queue, I hit "print job in process", but the "Cancel" is not in bold print and I can'tfind any other way to cancel the job.
    Help !

The easiest way to cancel a print job would be by pressing the cancle button on the front panel.  This is the "X" button near the right side of the control panel, see pages 10 and 11 of the user manual here.

  • K80 Will not print, stuck in queue

I have checked every helpline and run every troubleshooting program but cannot get print jobs in queue to go to printing. My K80 works just fine on another computer but the new ASUS netbook I purchased has a problem. The netbook recognizes the printer, I have the latest driver and the print jobs queue just fine but will not print. I am using WinXP, can anyone help me? Thanks in advance...McRed

Hi - A couple of things to try:
    - First, reboot the computer.  In many cases this will clear the print queue and allow you to continue printing.
    - Second, download and run the print diagnostic utility:

  • Random print jobs showing up in print queue when printing...

Whenever I print something, one or two other random files will show up in the print queue.  The printer will not try and print these additional jobs, and it does not prevent another print job from printing, but each time more random files will show up.  The print queue will fill up with these additional jobs until they are manually deleted.  What a pain.  Does anyone have a solution???

These random files can be communication files and are used to interogate the printer about its status. Typically they will be processed by the printer and then vanish from the print queue. So if they are not being processed and you are having to manually remove them then there could be a setting in the printer that needs to be changed or you have to check from an updated driver.
To confirm if it is the printer queue / driver that is checking the status, you can open System Information (Applications > Utilities) and select Printers in the left column. You can then select the printer in the top right pane and see its information in the bottom right pane (or if this is the only printer you have the information will appear in the right pane). You will see an entry called Printer Commands. If it shows something like Report Levels then this confirms that these files you are seeing are for checking the printer status.

  • Print job stays in queue after it's printed & hangs subsequent jobs

I'm having a very frustrating printer problem under Leopard. A print job will stay in the queue and it's status remains as "printing" even after it's already printed. This happens especially when more than one job is in the print queue. The only way to get the subsequent jobs to print is to delete the hung job & then the other jobs will all print properly. The printer queue also remains active in the dock until all the jobs go through & I physically close the queue. If I send a single print job it will go through properly & the queue will close automagically. Subsequent multiple print jobs will also hang the queue just as described above.
I'm printing to an HP Color LaserJet 2600n connected via USB. I've installed all of the latest HP printer drivers & still no luck. Any ideas?
    Thanks for any assistance.

I too have had this exact same problem with a HP 1022 ever since upgrading to Leopard. It's intermittent but very irritating. HP were no help and I have just learnt to live with it. I have to clear the previous print job and sometimes turn the printer on and off again. I also have a HP K5400 which is a terrific colour ink jet printer. Unfortunately you cannot set the print quality options for Pages and Numbers documents, so I have to save them as pdf's first and then print them. It's fine with MS Office 08 and pretty much all other apps. I think I'm going to give HP printers a miss when I change them - but this may be for many years...

  • Network Print Jobs Always Get Stuck in Queue

    Hello,
I have, perhaps, the most frustrating problem on the planet.  In my home network, I have a HP Color LaserJet 2600n connected to my main PC, with 2 other PC's on the network.  All 3 run Windows 7.  Printing from my main PC works fine, but if I try to print over the network, the print job always gets stuck in the queue.  I can see it stuck in the queue on my main PC, but I can't do anything about it.  I can't delete it, nothing.  If I restart the spooler, then it magically prints and clears the queue, but it's annoying to have to do that all the time.  I've reinstalled the drivers several times to no avail.  Tips?
    RPGillespie

I have a similar problem, I have a directly connected 1300 and a network P3015. The 1300 is connected via USB, the 3015 is connected by RJ45 cable right to the router. Both printers have their print queues get stuck, but only from my HP Pavilion Elite HPE running HP-installed Windows 7. All the other machines in the office can use the 3015 printer perfectly well. One is an older Pavilion using XP-Pro, another is a Dell using XP-Pro and the third is a Lenovo laptop using Windows 7. All our toners are not refills (seems like a stupid suggestion that the toner cartridge could cause a queue to lock up). The problem is definitely between my machine and the HP printers. I have a Brother printer and a couple of Seiko/Epson printers that all work perfectly fine.
Rebooting several times a day is getting old.

  • Print Queue will not remove print jobs

I am running Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard. I have a Printer HP LaserJet P4015n set up as a network printer thru DNS.  The printer is working fine all print job will come
out. Each time I send a print job to stays in the queue with the Status "Sent to printer". If I send another print job to the printer it will print out however the job will stay in the queue. I have added the printer to a user’s machine and they were
able to see all the print jobs in the queue. I have stops and started the spool however it does nothing. I have already reinstalled the printer but it has done nothing to help.
After about 5 - 10min of the jobs are sitting the in the queue they delete themselves.
Does anyone know of anything I can do about this?

    Hi,
    Thanks for the post.
Here is something I need to confirm:
    1. Does this issue occur with other network printers?
    2. Does this issue occur when printing a text file?
If this issue just occurs with HP LaserJet P4015n, it is caused by the specific printer driver.
Now please perform the following steps to troubleshoot this issue.
    Clear spool file
    1. Stop the spooler by doing the following:
    a. Click Start , Settings , Control Panel , Administrative Tools , then Services .
    b. Scroll down the list of services for the Print Spooler.
    c. Right click Print Spooler and click Stop .
    2. Delete the spool files
    a. Open My Computer.
    b. Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\PRINTERS\ .
    c. Delete all of the files inside of this folder.
    3. Restart the spooler.
    a. Click Start , Settings , Control Panel , Administrative Tools , then Services
    b. Scroll down the list of services for the Print Spooler.
    c. Right click the Print Spooler and click Start.
    Change the spooling format
Set the spooling format to RAW, and then try to print directly to the printer instead of spooling the print job. To do this:
              a.       Click "Start", point to "Settings", and then click "Printers".
              b.       Right-click the printer that you are using, and then click "Properties".
              c.       In the Advanced tab, click "Print Processor".
              d.       Set the default "Data type" to "RAW" for both "WinPrint" and "ModPrint".
              f.        Click "OK", click "OK" again, and then close the Printers dialog box.
    Does it work?
    Hope this helps.

  • How to set  the CR print job name that displayed in Printer job queue?

As following image shows, when I press the Print button in Crystal Report Preview GUI,
a print job is sent to Windows Printer Spool.
    [Windows Printer queue dialog snapshot|http://www.box.net/shared/96vq4qa2mp]
The "Document Name" in the dialog is like "Crystal Reports - temp_214d9d11-a73f-4872-81f6-b8a63bf0a6b9.rpt".
I want to know which property of Crystal Reports can be used to set the print job name to a more meaningful one.
Edited by: Xiaobing Sun on Apr 2, 2009 5:08 AM

The solution in this thread is for VS .NET as this is the forum for CR in .NET.
With Foxpro, I suspect you want to create a new thread in the SAP Crystal Reports - Legacy SDKs forum.
Make sure you specify the exact version of CR used.
