Envelope printing proble on HP C7280

When I try to print an envelope on the printer I keep getting the message paper mismatch.  I have set it up correctly, and can see a preview but I still get the message.  I finally got it to print but the print was very small and not the right font size.  Anyone have any suggestions?
I am using Hallmark Cardshop, or am using  Open Office Writer to print the envelopes.  I don't think this is the problem, it just won't recognize the size of the envelope.  I am using 4 1/8 x 9 1/2 envelopes also.
 Still can't figure it out.

Hi I am having the same problem with my hpb8550 (see my problem posted tonight) Finally got a techie in Philippines and he added another driver which solved the problem. They were half card envelopes.
Unfortunately I had more problems with photos and  uninstalled my printer and reinstalled it- lost the driver and it didn't solve my photo printing at all. Thank goodness I have an Epson printer I also use and don't have any problem with it.

  • Contacts Envelope Print Error

I have figured out how to print an envelope with a return address, and proper layout even without the bar code (Hello Apple - it's 2015) and the limited text formatting options, but now Contacts prints two envelopes with each print request.
The problem is that every other envelope prints the addressee name in the line where the street address is on the correctly printed other envelope (which is what I see in preview window).  No street address, city or zip, just the name in the line where the address should be.
Under the Preview window within the print dialog window is this 'Two addresses()'
I dont see another address card anywhere for this contact, so where is the other address that I need to delete to stop wasting envelopes?

Go to your Finder "Go" menu hold the option key to choose "Library".
Then go to Application Support/AddressBook/AddressBook.data and double-click that.

  • Envelope Printing Incorrectly to HP laserjet

When installing to one of the Mavericks upgrades last year, my old HP laser jet 3700n would no longer print envelopes correctly from either WordMac or from PrintShop3. I blamed the old age of the printer (More than 10 years) and no recent driver made for it. I purchased a new HP LaserJet MFP M476dw but I have the exact same issue. The envelope appears perfect in print preview but when the envelope prints, the text is perpendicular like in portrait mode and mostly off of the envelope. It doesn't matter the size of the envelope. I have tried changing every setting I could find, altering the dimensions to the opposite length/width, changing the orientation of the envelope feed, but I can't get it right. I can't believe I am the only person with this problem. I called HP and after 2 hours on the phone they said they couldn't help me. I'm not very computer literate and really would like help.

  • Envelope printing using HP LaserJet CP1525nw color

I have been trying to print envelopes on our above printer.  My document is in Word and is formatted accordingly for a #10 business envelope.
Under HP's help feature, I found the appropriate info on how to set up my document's printing options so it would print correctly.
The first envelope printed on the flap side; I re-loaded them back into tray 1 and was ready.
The second envelope printed successfully so I thought I had it figured out.  So I loaded the paper tray with 5 envelopes, hoping to print them en masse.  I couldn't get this to work when I tried to print 4 at once.  I got an error "Jam in Tray 2" and I wasn't even using Tray 2.  I cleared the "problem" and ONE envelope printed successfully, then I got the same error message.
I got 2 more envelopes printed this way but each time I got the same error message, cleared the machine, and 1 envelope printed.
Frustrated, I cancelled the multiple print job and tried printing the envelopes one-by-one.  Now it's not working at all even though I clear the phantom paper jam each time.
Can anyone help with this?  It's driving me nutty.
Background info:  my husband (network engineer) set up the printer.  I have over 20 years of word processing experience and usually have good results with figuring out printing problems.  This one has me stumped!
Thanks for any help you can provide.

The CP1525 does allow you to print envelopes. There are two trays that can be used. I will describe only using the lower tray. Normally this tray is used for standard paper.  To use it for letter envelopes, you need to pull out the tray and then make some changes. Take out all of the paper. There are blue-colored paper supporters. Two are used for the width of regular papers. Slide it toward the center so that it will handle the envelope with the top toward the left side. Put the envelope in with the printable side up and the top towards the left side. Slide the blue paper holders so they touch the top and bottom. Then push the envelope all the way toward the back and then move the single blue paper holder at the front so that it is against the envelope. You are ready to print as far as the printer.
I have to select properties for the printer. I indicate that I am printing an envelope. I also had to indicate landscape. I also had to move the print areas to fit where I want them to be. Then I added my address and the address to where they are going. I am not sure that I got everything but this should work well.
I did not do this, but you can use both trays with one that holds a number of pages and the other for a number of envelopes.

  • PIXMA MX922-Envelope Printing

I am trying to print a commercial size 10 envelope from Word 2013 document. The envelope contains a table created in Word that extends the full height and width of the envelope with .5 margins on all sides. This printed fine on my HP LaserJet 5 but when I try to print it on the Pixma, the right margin switches from .5 to 1.48" when I go to print and as a result truncates the table. I saw in the fine print that the Pixma 922 does not support borderless envelope printing so I'm thinking maybe there is a built in larger border for envelopes. Has anyone figured out a work around? I attempted to avoid using the "envelope" settings by creating a custom document both in Word and for the printer that is the same size as the envelope. But the same thing happens - the table is truncated. I also attempted to just type text, thinking maybe there was something finicky about the table. But even the text is truncated and the margin overrides whatever I put in to change to 1.48" Very frustrating!

  • Envelope printing issues

I was trying to print an envelope with my new HP printer using Microsoft Word 2008 for Mac. When I press on print, the entire envelope is printed in black ink, covering the entire face of the envelope.
I checked the settings for the size envelope (#10). I also uninstalled the printer software and downloaded and re-installed the printer software, but the problem still exist.
Is there an compatibility issue with Yosemite 10.10.3?
    What could be the problem?

Hello @Blackjack2359, and welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!
I see you're having envelope print issues.   I'd like to assist!
I would suggest deleting the printer from your print system, using this document: Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Once you have deleted it, I would suggest verifying and repairing the disk permissions: About Disk Utility's Repair Disk Permissions feature.
I would also suggest running your Apple updates:  OS X: Updating OS X and Mac App Store apps
After the updates, I would recommend reinstalling the HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One Printer series Full Feature Software and drivers.
Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting steps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums!

  • Envelope Printing

    Envelope printing is crucial!
I looked through the posts and didn't see it mentioned, so I
guess it isn't that important to a lot of folks. BUT, to use B-word
for small business purposes it's a must. Peace and keep up the good
    the work.
PS, don't forget about the Linux support.
Also, I just posted this in the main forum by accident, my
    bad.

    Hello bmann11,
While there isn't a preset paper size for printing envelopes,
you are able to create custom paper sizes within Buzzword.
If you know the size of your envelope you'll be needing to
print in, you can goto the Document menu > Page Setup and change
the Orientation, width, height, according to your envelope type,
and then change the margins for the custom paper size as needed.
Here is a page listing some
    Envelope
    paper sizes for reference
After setting the page size, printing should be a snap!
    Hope this helps,
    Pete

  • Envelope printing on P1102w

Trying to figure out how to print an envelope using MS Word on a P1102w.  I keep getting the blinking attention light and the print job never makes it to the printer and instead cancels.  The manual doesn't even mention envelope printing.

Had the exact same problem using MS Word 2007/Vista. Click the "Options" button in the Envelopes and Labels print window, click the "Printing Options"  tab, and under "Feed from" select "Auto Select" from the drop down menu.

  • Print Head for our C7280 All In One Printer

We have a C7280  All in One Printer in the office/  Our repairman told us to order all new color cartridges for it before he could fix it.  We did that, however, today he told us the print head was bad and that we would be better off to buy a new printer than fix the C7280.  He told us he could not get parts for our printer anymore.   If it is the print head, can this printer be fixed?

That is the only way you can clean the ink cartridges. I would recommend contacting HP technical support for further assistance. Click here to find out: HP Worldwide Contact.

  • Mac Mini envelopes printing full page size from contacts

    Good day.
    So here’s my story.
In early summer I printed out enveoples form "Address Book" for our wedding invitations from a Macbook pro 2.16 GHz running 10.6.8. Everything worked out perfectly.
I then got a Mac Mini 2.7 GHz Core i7  for a wedding gift and I did a data migration from my Macbook Pro to the mac Mini. It was running 10.8.5 and is now running the latest version or Maverics. The printer I used for both envelope printing jobs, an HP CM1415fnw color MPF has also been updated to the latest software version.
The problem I am having is that the Mac mini will NOT print envelopes in the custom envelope size, it always prints full page. It has done this since the data migration form the Macbook Pro running "Address Book" to the Mac Mini 10.8 running "Contacts". I thought is was an operating system issue so I waited for the new OS Maverics.  I did another print out from both computers tonight to see if the issue had resoleved it's self. NOPE. I even do a print preview on the mini which loads up Preview and it shows the custom size, though it prints out full page
All settings on both computers are the same for the custom envelope size.
Anyone know how I can fix the paper size issue?
    Thanks for anyhelp I get

    Hi Rodger_
Thank you for the additional information, it was helpful.
I was speaking with one of my colleagues and we would like you to try the following steps. Once you have completed the steps please try printing again.
    1)    Please reset your printing system, I have included a document on how to do this. Please be aware that this reset deletes all print settings and pending print jobs from your Mac.
    2)    In the "Printers & Scanners" please click on the '+' and choose "Add another printer or scanner from the options (see screen shot)
    3)    Choose your Laserjet CM1415fnw and at the bottom where it says "USE" please change it to the HP Laserjet (see screen shot) instead of AirPrint

  • HP LaserJet 4600dn and envelope printing

I have an HP LaserJet 4600dn and envelopes start to seal up from the heat when printing more than 50 envelopes. We print different sizes, #10, #7, #9. Any ideas how to keep the printer from fusing the envelopes closed?

This seems to be a commercial product. For the best chance at finding a solution I would suggest posting in the forum for HP Business Support!

  • Laserjet 4650 tray 1 envelopes printing instead of letter paper

I am working at a small office which has an HP CLJ 4650 printer. It is connected to the network with an Ethernet cable and shared from the Windows 2008 SBS server.
The clients are WIndows XP Pro SP3 and Windows 7 Pro SP1.
The problem we are experiencing is that if er have anvelopes in the feeder in Tray 1, no matter what type of print job we send, it grabs the envelopes and printes on them instead of printing letter jobs on letter paper, etc. I have checked the settings against this link:
    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=110&prodSeriesId=...
The behavior is set to "Exclusively" under the control panel system setup submenu of the Configure Device menu. The  server is using the UPD from http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=375775&p.... The clients are mapped either through the server (\\server\printershare) or via IP address. The computers that are mapped via IP address can print normally: they send a job and UNLESS there is an ENVELOPE, it pulls paper from the tray with paper in it and prints the job, even with envelopes in the feeder in tray 1. The computers mapped through the server print the job on an envelope, no matter what I try. I have reinstalled the driver on the server and tried 5.4.0.11744 UPD and it doesnt seem to make a difference. Is there a setting somewhere either on the server or printer to make it only pull envelopes when the job calls for an envelope but will allow them to leave envelopes in tray 1 feeder all the time and print the rest of their jobs normally?

  • Address Book envelope printing weirdness

I'm having a strange problem when trying to print envelopes or mailing labels from Address Book. Basically, when I select a contact use cmd-P to print the address, the preview in the LH side of the Print dialog looks fine. But if I print, or use the "Preview" button, exclamation points are added before and after the State field.
So, "New York NY 12345" becomes "NewYork!NY!12345" in Preview or in the printed output.
If I print to PDF and copy the offending text to a Hex Editor, it appears that the sequence "E2 80 8E" is added just before the spaces (0x20) that separate the fields.
The same addresses synced on another Mac look fine and print fine.
Needless to say, it's driving me nuts! Any ideas?

    Hi Waldo,
    Just a suggestion...
Have you tried using Disk Utility to Verify and Repair Permissions?
It sure won't hurt anything even if it doesn't fix your problem.
