Envelope Problems

If I utilize an envelope template, and the 'To' address runs a few lines too long, a second 'envelope' appears below the first one, with the last line or two of the address appearing on the second 'envelope.' What's the fix? Thanks.

In the Apple's templates, the recipient address is in the main text layer of WP documents.
We may move it adjusting the margins.

    My HP LaserJet P2055dn Printer won't print the last page of documents until i send another document, then it will print the last page of the previous document, but omit the last page of the current document.  I need to keep printing a blank page or any other page to get my previous documents completely printed.  Also, the envelopes print with large rectangular boxes on them and no address (I don't know if this is a result of the previous stated problem or not - it started happening at the same time) I use the envelope feature in Microsoft Word 2010.  I never used to have either of these problems - didn't make any changes to the system or add any software to the computer, so I know it's not that.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

    This seems to be a commercial product. For the best chance at finding a solution I would suggest posting in the forum for HP Business Support!

  • Web service parsing soap envelope problem

    I'm trying to parse an XML document found in a collection. I can do it in TOAD but get a "ORA-01008: not all variables bound" message in APEX.

    I accidently hit the post before the messag was composed.
    I'm trying to parse an XML soap envelope found in a collection. I can do it in TOAD but get a "ORA-01008: not all variables bound" message in APEX within a PL/SQL anonymous block
    Here is the code snippet:
    declare
    l_xml clob;
    l_pdf                    clob;
    begin
    select xmltype.createxml(cm.clob001)
    into l_xmlval
    from ....
    select l_xmlval.extract('//*[local-name()=''reportBytes]').getclobval()
    into l_pdf
    from dual;
    end;
    It is the presense of the two backslashes that cause the ORA-01008. Does anybody know how to resolve this problem?

  • N97 Flashing Envelope problem

    Hi Guys,
    Just got my new nokia today and have only transfered phone numbers accross to the phone from my old Nokia. since doing that I now have a constant flashing envelope on the top right corner of the screen.
    I don't have a new message or any unread messages that I can find. And I can't see how the memory could possibly be filled with only 30 numbers.

  • Problems with envelopes in OfficeJet 5610

    I used  WordPerfect mail merge to generate a file of over 100 envelopes. I have tried printing with several brands of envelopes that advertise as being suitable for inkjet printers. None of them feed reliably through my OfficeJet.  I set the paper size as "No. 10 envelope," set the printer feed to "right" to match the placement of envelopes in the tray, and moved the paper guide over to the edge of the paper.  I am feeding envelopes one at a time to reduce errors. The envelopes feed eratically. Often part of the return address runs off the edge of the paper. Sometimes the envelope twists as it feeds in, and everything comes out skewed, plus there is a wrinkle in the envelope. Sometimes the envelope just jams in the printer.  Is there anything else I can do?

    I upgraded to an OfficeJet 8500. It feeds envelopes fairly reliably, although I lost the ability to print postcards, which the older printer could handle.
    My new envelope problem is that the printer won't print the return address closer than 0.6 inch from the left margin. Supposedly, the printer will handle a much smaller margin. In practice, it simply doesn't print any content closer than 0.6 inch to the edge.

  • Printing multiple envelopes from address book with Lion

    I am having trouble getting envelopes to print properly from Address Book in Lion.  I have specified size #10 envelopes.  When I print them, the text printed on successive envelopes moves further and further down the page until the address drops off of one envelope and is then printed at the top of the next envelope.  If I print to PDF, I see the same behavior.  I have an HP Photosmart Premium printer.  I didn't have this problem before I upgraded to Lion, and all my settings are the same as they were prior to the upgrade.  I have seen that other users have the same problem on the forums, but there isn't a clear cut answer to how to solve the problem anywhere.  I also tried using the easy envelopes widget, and I still have the creeping further down the envelope problem.  HELP!!!

    It seems to be a bug in Lion. Try the solutions provided in other disucssions about changing print size and orientation. Create a custom size and save it. You should be able to test it by printing to pdf first to check it. That way you won't have to waste paper.

  • Problems with OC4J Web services and Flex SOAPEncoder

    Hello!
    I got a problem trying to execute a web service running in
    Oracle OC4j 10.1.3.3, and a client side with Flex3. I generated the
    scripts for using the web service using Flex builder 3, but it's
    not making a valid call to web service. I debugged the call
    operation to the Flex SOAPEncoder which seems to generate an
    invalid soap message. The SOAPEncoder generates the following
    message;
    <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="
    http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"
    xmlns="
    http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
    xmlns:xsi="
    http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
    <SOAP-ENV:Body>

    <tns:getDocuments>
    <tns:String_1>service manual</tns:String_1>
    </tns:getDocuments>
    </tns:getDocuments>
    </SOAP-ENV:Body>
    </SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
    Where the correct working soap message should be;
    <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="
    http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"
    xmlns="
    http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
    xmlns:xsi="

    <tns:String_1>service manaual</tns:String_1>
    </tns:getDocuments>
    </SOAP-ENV:Body>
    </SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
    Problem in the first message is that Flex SOAPEncoder
    generates an extra <tns:getDocuments> child tag, and Oracle
    app server can't handle it.
    Has someone any idea why SOAPEncoder is generating the extra
    operation tag, and is this behaviour configurable somehow or is the
    soapencoder broken?

    Best regards, Janne

    I am having the exact same problem. The SOAPEncoder is adding
    an additional tag and the server thinks the envelope is not
    properly formatted and therefore does not know what to do with it.
    Is there any fix for this yet? Or has it even been reported as a
    bug?

  • Spell checker - unrecoverable error / envelope sizes

    Probably due to microsoft updates ...
    spell checker no longer works in Star
    Office (unrecoverable error notice). I
    have to cut and paste into word, then
    check spelling, then return text to Star
    Office.
    Also envelope sizes do not print. Over
    the years I have had problems like this
    and they can usually be sorted out by
    changing size + landscape/portrate
    settings. However, this is the worst
    envelope problem I have had.
    Even if I simply try to create text on a
    separate A5 sheet this is not what is
    produced by the printer. My printer is not
    the cause - though obviously if
    uncontrolled updates have affected the
    printer software then that could be the
    reason.
    Any solutions? It is so irritating when
    things have been running so smoothly
    for months even years, then suddenly big
    problems arise due to 'improvements' in
    software.

    Does anyone know how or if you can personalise the middle navigation key so you can choose which applications it goes to if you click right, left, up or down? Can't find it in the manual and can't figure it out without it.

    The other user has described how the flashing-envelope problem is caused by your SIM card having a bunch of SMS messages unnecessarily stored on it.

    Problem
    The biggest problem is that i am not able to search older records which are stored in tier1 storage using GET_FILE, But if i check in new records to Tier2 i am able to use GET_FILE to search them. I must be able to search both Tier1 and Tier 2 Storage content files using GET_FILE. To reproduce the error, change the vault and weblayout path from intradoc.cfg,reboot then try to use GET_FILE to search for records on the previous path, then the you will get the above  error. I tried to create partition and storage rules but i am not successfull. I am not so sure exactly what to change here. Please advice

    Hi 2611729
    For searching content items service is GET_SEARCH_RESULTS and for downloading the file its GET_FILE
    I dont think changing the configuration value will serve the prupose over here. You need to move the contents from one location to other and going by the explanation you have provided that movement has not happened. Every content item has a metadata called xStorageRule which mentions the location where file is stored. In your case, though you've changed the configuration setting the metadata value is still of tier1 for older content items.
    You have changed the default value and thats the reason contents are getting stored in tier2 storage now and you are able to access them via search. Since for older items xStorageRule holds older value which is different that current one you are not able to search.
    However, i belive you're trying to move the contents from tier1 to tier2 storage since contents in tier1 storage have crossed X days and might not be accessed frequently by users.
    Below mentioned option might work.
    Retain your configuration setting for valut and weblayout as earlier.
    1. Create a new storage rule Tier2Rule pointing to tier2
    2. Archive your contents using Archiver applet.
    3. Import the contents from created archive using applet and during import change the metadata xStorageRule to new storage rule Tier2Rule. This moves all your content onto tier2.
    4. Checkin new documents and it gets stored in tier1 location. I assume default storage rule will point to tier1.
    5. While searching using seach forms use the metadata StorageRule and it will provide dropdown of list (like tier1rule, tier2rule and so on). Select and perform the search.
    For download using GET_FILE, i'm not sure whether by passing xStorageRule it will work or not. You'll  have to try it out by small POC or customize the GET_FILE as required.
    I've not tried this approach earlier but by system-wise understanding it should work.
    Also, please refer UCM Backup strategy this discussion thread and others in the forum. Take a look at SAM-QFS which does this job transparently or any other solution in-line to that.

    And it also looks like Apple hasn't fixed the bugs in GB. It takes time to know whether something that doesn't work as advertised is just the usual installation hitch, which come thirteen in a dozen, or a bug.

    Generally, if you're looking for a quick answer, it's to jump ahead around 20 years. At this point, in order to push the envelope, problems arise. Most people would rather face the prospect of having to trash a plist, than having the rate of innovation slow to a crawl.
    If you can wade it out, my guess is in 20 years you wont have to trash a plist or repair permissions. But if you want a recording studio in 2009 that has more capabilities than were available to the Beatles, and for free with your computer, then how bad is it really to have to trash a plist or repair permissions from time to time?

  • Problems printing envelopes on an HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless

    I have had this printer for over a year and have lived in frustration with the primitive and really disfunctional way it tries to print envelopes.  The left or right side placement of a flap up number 10 envelope gets misaligned as it is pulled through for printing and on many occasions jams and tears.  The center position is the only position that will work, but not flawlessly as the envelope also misaligns as it is pulled through.  It often takes two or three tries before i can get an evenly or straight printed envelope.  I am puzzled as to how HP would engineer a product for small business use that has such a dysfunctional envelope printing system. I am otherwise not displeased with the product for almost all other uses.  It has lots of other very good features that work.  But not envelope printing.
    I thought I would try to inquire as to whether a download update of software might have tried to correct this problem.  Am I alone in this?
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    Have you moved the paper guides to properly align the envelopes?  I do not see how envelopes can be loaded in any position but the center with the paper guides set snugly.  See page 42 (46) of the manual here.  Also, if you have the optional second paper tray note that envelopes are not supported in it, you need to use the top tray.

  • Problem printing envelopes with HP Deskjet 6540

    Printer is about 6 years old, and to print addresses on envelopes, I always had to push the blinking yellow-arrow button to restart the print job after getting a message that the paper was the wrong size.  This worked until recently, and now the printer won't print the envelope at all.
    I checked the print set-up in PrintMaster (where the print job originated), and the correct envelope size was entered in inches.  The size of the envelope that is entered in the print job queue in the HP folder, however, is given in kb's.  Is this the problem?  Any ideas of how to fix this "wrong size" issue?

    I too encounter the problem requiring pushing the yellow arrow button and having my #10 envelope jam.  I read in the HP support document to try tucking in the flap of the envelope.  After doing this I still find that I have to hit the yellow arrow, but this time the envelope actually printed.  g

  • Printing Problem with labels and envelopes

    I have Microsoft office:mc 2004 and cannot print labels and envelopes. Whenever I ask to print it boots out and states that there is a problem and ask me to report the problem. I have reported it 20 times in the last 2 days with no response from apple. Can anyone give me any input on how to correct this problem? I have a HP laserJet 3050 all in one printer and did not have these problems when I was using a PC with windows. Please help as I am at my last of my patience on this problem. Thanks and please use language I can understand as I am not computer literate on all of the lingo that is being used.

    Hi Lilmac, and a warm welcome to the forums!
    Have you installed a Printer Driver later than the one that comes on the CD? hp generally includes older ones.
    Tough to say with so little to go on, but since it could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
    *Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
    5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
    Then Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot.
    The usual reason why updates fail or mess things up, is if Permissions are not fixed before & after every update, with a reboot... you may get a partial update when the installer finds it doesn't have Permissions to change one obscure little part of the OS, leaving you with a mix of OS versions.
    Some people get away without Repairing Permissions for years, some for only days.
    If Permissions are wrong before applying an update, you could get mixed OS versions, if Directory is the slightest messed up, who knows!
