Envelope Stuck On

The envelope symbol denoting a new text message is on but there's no message.
Is there a way of clearing it?

  • Stuck in printing envelope mode

    hey there....
    trying to stop the printer from printing in envelope format - nothing works - just keeps reverting to it even though printing preferences show normal paper size - keeps reverting back
    thanks for the help

    Yes I am having the same issue with my Photosmart Plus B209a,  for some reason the paper size selection on the features tab in the printer properties keeps reverting back to a envelope setting as soon as I click the "Ok" button and leave the property window, this is usually just an annoyance cause once I select the size I want , it will print it in that size that particular time but then will have to be reset out of enevolope mode again the next time.    However this time on this latest project I'm doing in MS Word 10 it reverts back as soon as I close the window., which interferes with my project I'm doing   Does anyone know how to fix this issue?    I refuse to pay  HP $40 to resolve an issue that should't not be occouring on their printers.

  • Printer stuck on envelope setting.

    I printed an address on #10 envelope and now the printer will not let me switch back to printing or copying on standard paper. I am about ready to box this machine back up and take back to the store where I purchased it. I've had it only an month. Please help!

    Hey ,  Welcome to the HP Support Forum.  I see that you're unable to print or copy regular (letter) size page with your HP Officejet Pro 6830 e-All-in-One Printer. I would like to help.  I am assuming that you would have adjusted the paper tray width guides in printing on a Number 10 envelope. Have you reset the printer's paper tray width guides back to accommodate the 8.5 x 11 standard letter size? If not, definitely do so. If yes, and you're still unable to copy from the front panel I recommend you perform a 'hard reset':
    1. Ensure your printer is powered on.
    2. Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
    3. Wait 60 seconds.
    4. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
    5. Press the Power button to turn on the printer (if it doesn't automatically reboot).  Let me know if this restores your normal printing capabilities. If not, I will certainly provide some more in-depth solutions. If I have helped you resolve the issue, feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon below and clicking to accept this solution. Thank you for posting in the HP Support Forum. Have a great day!

  • HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177fw ; stuck in Initializing... mode

    My printer was working fine and suddenly stopped working. The printer now is stuck in the initializing mode. I've restored the factory setting, power cycled the printer (both with the power button and by disconnecting the power cord) to no avail. How do I go about getting the printer operating once again?
    Saw the exact same problem from some others, but not able to see any replies.

    Hi @SSAB ,
    I can send you that information in a private message.
    In the forum beside your handle name just click on the envelope to view it.
    What happened prior to this issue? (update, paper jam, changed toner)
    I would do a hard reset if you haven't tried this method.
    Leave the printer on and unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet for 60 seconds.
    Then reconnect the power cable to the printer and wall outlet rather than a surge protector.
    This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
    If you need further assistance, just let me know.
    Have a nice day!

  • HP LaserJet P2015 Printing Envelopes from Bottom Tray

    Hi,
    Every month, I need to print approximately 100 to 150 envelopes with different addresses on them, and I can't stack that many on my HP LaserJet P2015's manual input tray. I can usually only fit about ten. I was wondering if it is possible to put a larger stack in the bottom tray, which I typically use for normal printing paper. The envelopes are approximately 7.5"x5.5", and don't fit into any default paper size in the bottom tray. Is there some sort of workaround for this, or am I stuck manually loading these envelopes?

    If you are up for some experimenting, here is what I would suggest you do:
    1. Check out this document on how to set custom envelope sizes. While this document talks about C6 envelopes the principal is the same for any size that is not listed in the driver. You may have to set a custom size if the size you want isn't listed there. You will need to do this in order for your information to be printed correctly on the envelope.
    2. Check out my pic below. While this is a paper tray from a newer product in the same product line as your printer, you should be able to do the same thing. Find the paper guides (red squares) and adjust them to fit your envelope snuggly. Make sure it isn't to tight or you will warp the envelope. Replace your paper tray. Try printing an envelope. You may have to experiment to see if the flap has to be up or down.

  • I can't print a C5 envelope with a gummed flap in tray 1 or the envelope feeder for my Hp4014n

    I have a C5 6x9 envelope with a gummed flap that I had been able to print in tray one on my HP 4014n.  I had oriented the text on the envelope so that I could turn the envelope around so the gummed flap-which makes the envelope about an inch longer- is facing away from the printer.  Since I had my printer serviced I can no longer use tray one.  When I try to print the envelope, it gives me a message that the size is mismatched.  I have tried all combinations in the paper handling menu for the size and type.  I had this same problem when I bought the printer.  I remember calling HP and being on the phone for some time.  They finally got a combination that worked.  I just don't know what it was.  I have not changed anything on my computer.  I know that the technician must have changed something after I had asked them not to.  Any input would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

    Okay, thank you . This tells me we may be experiencing an issue with the driver or wireless connection.  I suggest using the following steps to delete the printer from device and printers, and the driver from the server properties. 1. In the ‘Devices and Printers’ folder2. Choose ‘Print server properties’.Win XP – With no printer selected, click ‘File’ then ‘Server Properties’.Windows Vista – With no printer selected, press ‘Alt’ then click ‘File’ then ‘Server Properties’.Windows 7/8 and 8.1 – Select any printer in the ‘Devices and Printers’ folder and click ‘Print Server properties’ above.3. Click on the ‘Drivers’ tab at the top of ‘Print server properties’ window4. Choose the printer you want to uninstall and click ‘Remove’5. Choose 'Remove driver only'6. The next screen will give a warning, letting you know that deleting the driver package will remove it from the system. Click ‘Yes’ to say that you are sure you want to do this. If documents are stuck in the print spooler, you may see an error, cancel any documents pending in the print queue, or try restarting the print spooler, then try to remove the driver from ‘Print server properties’ again. If it still won’t remove the package, restarting the computer and the printer should resolve this ‘in use’ error and allow the driver to be removed. If the you continue to get an 'in use' message follow the steps in the document here; The Specified Printer Driver is Currently in Use
     After the driver is removed, open Start > All Programs > HP folder > Printer folder > HP Setup and Software (or the printer icon).
     The Setup and software screen will open and you can click on Connect a new printer.
    I look forward to hearing back from you again. Let me know the outcome, and we will proceed from there. Thanks.

  • SOAP Adapter: DO not use soap envelope

    Hi Guys
    I have a scenario, which calls a webservice from my ABAP Proxies, the twist in this is that SOAP request expects license info into the header of SOAP envelope, I could achive this by XSLT mapping in the receiver SOAP adapter I selected the option "Do not use SOAP envelope" and could do the call.
    Due to this the response received from the webservice is treated as payload, as shown below...
    response message payload:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
      <Header xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
        <SubscriptionInfo xmlns="http://ws.strikeiron.com">
          <LicenseStatusCode>0</LicenseStatusCode>
          <LicenseStatus>Valid license key</LicenseStatus>
          <LicenseActionCode>0</LicenseActionCode>
          <LicenseAction>Decremented hit count</LicenseAction>
          <RemainingHits>18</RemainingHits>
          <Amount>0</Amount>
        </SubscriptionInfo>
      </Header>
      <soap:Body>
        <getRateResponse xmlns="CurrencyRates">
          <getRateResult>44.945</getRateResult>
        </getRateResponse>
      </soap:Body>
    </soap:Envelope>
    and when i am trying to do the response mapping, it is not able to read the value.
    Anyone having any idea, on how we could do this.
    Thanks
    Dheeraj

    Hi
    I am sorry for replying in so late, was busy with some projects.
    I got few mails and this post is cathing up again, so thought of giving the solution I followed without any adapter module or anything, simple plain XSLT mapping.
    <u><b>Integration Repository</b></u>
    1. Created data type and message type for Outbound Interface
    2. Imported the WSDL
    3. Created an XSD out of the sample response I got by calling the WSDL (this you can do from any tool available, i used the strikeiron website), pls refer below to see the XSD below, and you will have to use the message type envelope from it.
    4. Most Important step, created 2 XSLT mappings, one for request and the other for response., Pls refer below for both these mappings.
    5. did the interface mapping
    <u><b>Integration Directory</b></u>
    1. pls configure your scenario as normaly you do, and while you configure the communication channel for your soap receiver, make sure you click on the do not use soap envelop option.
    thats it done.

  • Recovering messages stuck in a dead channel queue

    I,
    I have a bunch a msg (ca. 30) that are stuck in a non working channel queue. I do not want to loose them but rather have them delivered normally using the other working channels.
    How can I do that ?
    I have found out how to remove message in a queue, but not how to extract them and redirect them so they are delivered. I hope they will not disappear as they are tried out every so often.
    The channel (tcp_scan) was set up to analyze messages for spam/virus on another host according to the CONVERSION setup. Then this mailfilter host died. I stopped the redirection at the MTA, but some messages were already stucked in the channel queue.
    SETUP DESCRIPTION
    Before:
    The CONVERSION setup redirected mail to the tcp_scan channel.
    The tcp_scan channel redirected the messages to the mailfilter host where spamassassin and clamav would run.
    The mailfilter host would send back the result on the MTA on a special port setup in dispatcher.cnf
    The message is delivered locally on the MTA.
    Now, the CONVERSION channer has been removed and the messages arrive without screening.

Once an email enters a queue it can be difficult to get the email redelivered in an automated fashion as there may be insufficient data to work out where the email needs to go.
    For example if you have emails stuck in the ims-ms channel the envelope address is <uid>@ims-ms-daemon, getting this to be redelivered to say another store or another non-messaging server (the 'original' address the email come in as) may not be possible.

    tcp_scan-daemonAn alternative approach to what Jay suggested. If the conversion hop is indeed no-longer in place, you could try changing "mx daemon 192.33.219.42" to "nomx daemon 127.0.0.1" and uncomment the tcp_scan channel. This should then cause any emails in tcp_scan channel to be delivered back into messaging server (rather then the anti-virus/spam system) and then get delivered as-per-normal.

    Hello,
    I was trying to use JAXB to parse the MMAP schema from the SMS Forum

    tracked it down to XJC choking on the included SOAP envelope schema's

    C:\java\src\baz>I'm quite interested in the resolution of this issue as I'm stopped in
    my tracks on progress here. Help with resolution, whether in JAXB or
    my usage of it, will be much appreciated. I did a search of existing
    issues but didn't notice a duplicate. Thanks in advance.

    I have also come across a similar problem with validating an xml file with an xml:lang attribute. It seems to be common across the schema validation and dtd validation. I get the following error with both schema and dtd validation:
    Validation Error Msg (0): unexpected attribute "xml:lang"
    Validation Error Location (0): FreeFormText
    The test file extract looks like this:
    <FreeFormText xml:lang="EN">Pelle</FreeFormText>
    The schema defines the node as:
    <xs:complexType name="FreeFormText">
              <xs:simpleContent>
                   <xs:extension base="FreeFormTextType">
                        <xs:attribute name="lang" type="xs:language"/>
                   </xs:extension>
              </xs:simpleContent>
    </xs:complexType>
    and the dtd defines the node as:
    <!ELEMENT FreeFormText
         (#PCDATA)>
    <!ATTLIST FreeFormText xml:lang CDATA #IMPLIED >
    This looks like a bug in JAXB to me aswell. Any help on it would be much appreciated as i am also stuck.

  • Mail.app stuck spinning on "opening mailbox"

    I just used Migration Assistant to move my content from my old iMac (running 10.5.8) to my new iMac (running 10.6.4). When opening Mail.app everything works fine — except in the Activity Window I see Mail.app trying to open two mailboxes. Also next to "Sent" is a spinning dial for a bit and then a pie wedge.
    Connection Doctor shows my two e-mail accounts are connecting just fine (inbound and outbound). I can receive mail, but it will not send. Clicking the stop sign next to the two "Opening Mailbox" messages in the Activity Window does nothing.
    I've rebuilt the mailboxes, rebuilt the index using the trick of removing the ~/Library/Mail/Envelope Index file and restarting Mail.app to reimport everything.
    I even reinstalled the OS on the new machine and reimported my content via Migration Assistant after first rebuilding the mailboxes on the old iMac but same problem exists.
    It seems like Mail.app is trying to send a message and getting stuck.... or something like that. Note I have NO outbox appearing... only Sent, never an outbox even when I try to send Mail.
    Any help is appreciated.
    -Werner

    I took the computers to a local Mac guy and he discovered the issue was Carbonite trying to restore the old computer hard drive on the new one as soon as the machine was turned on and connected to the internet.
    Once Carbonite was disabled and ~/Library/Mail/* files were put back in place, all worked well.

  • Envelope to address translation problem?

    Hi,
    Using exchange server 2003 SP1, sending mail through smarthost Sun Java System Messaging Server 6.1 HotFix 0.06 (built Nov 11 2004)
    I think i should actually post this on some exchange server forum but i'm not sure.
    Suddenly when people from their outlook environment send a email to a custom recipient which is in the GAL, the MTA receives a message like this:
    Transport layer information:
    Envelope From: address: [email protected]
    Envelope To: addresses: IMCEAex-O=KLUWER+20ACADEMIC+20PUBLISHERSOU=DOMAIN_CN=RECIPIENTS_CN=[email protected]
    Date: Thu, 21 Jul 2005 07:47:40 +0200
    From: "Kammen, van, Marco, Springer NL" <[email protected]>
    Subject: my message
    To: " ([email protected])"
    <IMCEAEX-O=KLUWER+20ACADEMIC+20PUBLISHERSOU=DOMAIN_CN=RECIPIENTS_CN=[email protected]>
    Message-id: <[email protected]>
    Channel: conversion
    From To Size Queued since
    18 Marco.vanKammen@springer-s IMCEAex-_O=KLUWER+20ACADE    20 21 Jul 05 07:51
    Instaid of the MTA using the correct address which is shown in the header between ()'s it uses a strange UTF-8? Formatted address which can't be resolved by the MTA thus leaving it in the conversions channel.
    Anyone have a clue what to do about this... either on the exchange side or the messenger side??
    Best Regards,
    Marco.

    Well, um, no.
    Mail servers use the envelope address. We don't look at the header "TO" if there's an envelope address. That's what the envelope address is for.
    Consider a message that's been "BCC". There is no header "TO" address to look at, just the envelope address.
    If the envelope address is messed up, we're stuck.

  • Order stuck at post office (not updating for about a week now)

    I've placed an order last week ( Tales of Xillia ) and it was scheduled to be delivered last Wednesday.
    The parcel has been stuck at the status "Parcel being transferred to local post office" since the 16th.
    This has happened to me before once and basically, the CSR just resent the same product to me.
    I was wondering if someone here could do the same in this case as well.
    Thanks!

    Hello karekano126,
    Lost packages are the worst, aren’t they?  While it certainly doesn’t happen very often, it can definitely ruin someone’s day, and I'm sorry for the disappointment this caused.
    If an online order is reported to us as missing, we reach out to UPS on your behalf to start an investigation to determine where your package may be. This process may take a few days to conclude. I would hate for this to cause further frustration for you than it already has though, and I have sent you a private message so that we may discuss this further. To view it, please make sure you are logged into the forum and click on the envelope in the upper right-hand corner.

  • Printing small envelopes

    I am trying to print on small envelopes - 3.5"x 5" and the envelope gets stuck in the printer.  I am feeding it according to directions.  I have the HP 4500 all-in- one printer.   Please advise.
    Thanks

    Hi @sherrlit56,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
    I noticed that you are trying to print on small envelopes  3.5"x 5, and that the envelope is getting stuck in your HP 4500 printer. I am sorry to hear this, but happy to help!
    For further assistance, I will need to know some additional information:
    The Product/Model Number of your printer. Follow instructions in this link. Finding Your HP Product Model Number.
    If you are using a Windows or Mac Operating System, and the version number. To find the exact version, visit this link. Whatsmyos.
    If the printer is connected, Wireless, Ethernet, or USB.
    If the printer is able to make copies.
    If the power cable is plugged into a surge protector, or directly to the wall outlet. Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector. This applies to Inkjet printers as well.

  • Stuck "Printing fax page 1"

    I was meant to receive two pages of faxes. After the first page came through it got stuck "Printing fax page 1". The second page never came though. I can't print anything out. I've already unplugged my printer and plugged it back in. When plugging back in, it reprints the same first page fax and gets stuck again. This has been happening out of nowhere at least once a week for the past few weeks.

    Hi , I see that you are having issues with the printer stuck in a error message of "Printing fax page 1", when restarting the printer it keeps printing out the same fax. I would really like to be able to help you resolve this issue.
    I would do a hard reset to see if that will resolve the issue. It is probably a little different then what you have tried already.
    Leave the printer on and unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet for 60 seconds.
    Then reconnect the power cable to the printer and wall outlet rather than a surge protector.
    This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation. I would suggest to update the printer's firmware. Here is the link, just select your operating system and select the firmware download. HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127/M128 Series Firmware Update. If you are still having issues, try resetting the printer. I will send you another step to try in a private message to try.
    In the forum beside your handle name just click on the envelope to view it. If you need further assistance, just let me know. Have a nice day!
    Thank You.
