Envy 15 J143na Touch stops working at random

Touchscreen stops working at random. Have re installted HID driver, both grahics card drivers & run all Win 8.1 updates. Will always start again after reboot or after closing & opening lid. Latop is 6 months old. Used to do it once  amonth but now getting worse expecially after some window updates.I have read a lot about this on this forum but not found solution. I have viewed /run PC tablet option  as mentioned on some forums but no different. It not  a tablet anyway?? Any Ideas?

I came across your post about the Notebook, and wanted to assist you! I have looked into your issue about your  HP ENVY TouchSmart 15-j143na Notebook and having issues with the Touchscreen. Here is a document to troubleshoot the Touchscreen. I am sure you have done the steps but something in the link might help like Step 5 to configure the touch display. Here is a fix to resolve the Touchscreen. Open Device Manager by pressing the Windows key + X, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager.‌
In Device Manager, locate the device you want to update, and then double-click the device name.
Click the Driver tab, and then click Rollback Driver and follow the instructions.Restart the computer.
Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system at the time of purchase or that need updating. Here is a link to do a system BIOS update. It will help improve the screen issues.

    I don't know about the technical reason.
    I recommend (suggest) you to ignore this feature totally. Actaully if you usually do not need this feature... 
    Approximately, i never used this feature to date!!. So i just wasted my time and nothing else...

    All you have to do is connect your new iPod to the computer that has the library for your old iPod.
    When iTunes comes up, click on your new iPod under Devices.
    At the top of the Summary Page click Music.
    Click Synch Music.
    Do the same thing for Photos, Apps, Movies and so on...
    Now just synch the iPod.

    - After charging or half an hour, reset the iPod:
    Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home

    - Connect the iPod to the computer and if it shows in iTunes, restore the iPod via iTunes.
    - See if placing the iPod in recovory mode will allow iTunes to see the iPod so you can restore the iPod. For recovery mode see:

    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since you likely have a hardware problem.

    You have to restore the iPod. That is the only way. Your iPod is sick.

    Hello skdog I possibly think your ipod touch is black because it has not charged. If your dock is broken it might just mean the dock will be broken and so might be the USB port. You should see an Apple shop nearby and hand it over and see what they can do. I hope this information works!

    I have an Altec docking station and my iPod suddenly stopped working on it.  The station comes on and makes a beeping noise like it is connected when I insert the iPod.  However, the music will only come out of the iPod.  The docking station will charge the battery on the iPod, so I assume it isn't broken. 

    - While charging try resetting the iPod:
    Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
    button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Next try restoring the iPod via iTunes.  First from backup and if still problem restore to factory defaults/new iPod.
    - However, I really think that the iPod has a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.  If defective Apple should give you a refurbished iPod.

    (Slider on 20GB Zen Touch stopped workinge I love my Zen so much, and the slider (touch pad) on my Zen Touch just stopped working. Last month, there was a couple of times where it stopped working, and it was fixed by turning it off and back on. That didn't fix it this time. I've been trying to get it to work for several hours now, and it just won't do anything.
    What can cause this, and is there anything I can do to fix this? I thought maybe a firmware upgrade would reset something, allowing it to work since I had an old version of the firmware anyway. The firmware upgrade was successful, but the slider still doesn't work.
    The slider is the one button on the Zen Touch that you absolutely need. I literally can't do anything since there is no other button you can use to go up or down in a menu. I can't browse my music, I can't play music, I can't change settings - all I can do is turn it on and stare at it. Now it is as useful as a weak flashlight - thanks to the backlight.
    I love my Zen Touch so bad It is the best MP3 player I've ever owned, and it would really kill me if I can't get it to work.

    reset the ipod, hold both the power and lock buttons for 10 seconds after the 10 seconds stop holding the buttons. IF this didn't work restore your ipo. 10 POINTS please.

    I have a problem with my iPod Touch connecting to iTunes. It is a new
    It has worked fine in the past, but stopped working once I upgraded from OS 10.4.x to OS 10.5.. I can still see/ sync my old 3rd generation iPod just fine.
    I am currently using iTunes 8.0.1. The iPod is charging fine with the cord provided. The iPod works fine, but I would like to load the Apps I purchased and update the podcasts I listen to.
    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

    I apologize for posting a bit early.  Found an Alpine manual online and i needed to set the AUX port to off.  They also recommended a reset of the Touch.  After doing these two things it is now working.  Maybe this will help someone else.

    His ipod stopped working properly last night. Not jailbroken, not dropped etc. I tried restoring it and it still is really slow it is connected to our wifi but wont open the internet. I cant get his apple Id to verify or icloud email account set up. Also when I go to restart the ipod the slide bar to turn off never pops up it just turns black and the apple logo appears ( the ipod wont power off now)
