ENVY 7640 - Power Button doesn't work after going to sleep

We print about once a day. It printed the first day without problems.The second day, we were unable to print and went to the printer and pushed the touchscreen - nothing happened.Then we pushed the power button - nothing happened,Then we unplugged and re-pluged the power cord - the printer booted and we were able to print. The third day, we were unable to print and went to the printer and pushed the touchscreen - nothing happened.Then we pushed the power button - nothing happened,Then we unplugged and re-pluged the power cord - the printer booted and we were able to print.The fourth day, we were unable to print and went to the printer and pushed the touchscreen - nothing happened.Then we pushed the power button - nothing happened,Then we unplugged and re-pluged the power cord - the printer booted and we were able to print.Then we registered with this forum and ask this question:HOW CAN WE KEEP THIS PRINTER POWERED ON WITHOUT RE-PLUGGING IT EVERY DAY?

I have the same issue as described at the beginning of this post. As noted by teacher, I have checked and confirmed the green light in back is still lit. I just bought this printer and issues started from the beginning. After I unplug and then restart the printer that way, it turns on and the power button will turn off and then turn on the printer. Its only after its static for a long time and goes into some undefined mode. At that point, the printer no longer responds. How can a company ship a product to customers in which the power button doesn't work? The only reason I bought this printer was becuase my HP Photosmart 7510 randomly gave me printer head error after changing the ink. It was only like 3 years old. I can't believe my new printer is buggy. Your company is on thin ice now. Please help me resolve this problem.

Power button no longer works. I have to hold both the home button down and the power button to "reset" my phone to turn it off.

If you are able to hold your home button and sleep/wake button down at the same time to reset the phone, you should be able to power it off just fine...

Try as best you can with broken button.:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
Place the iPod in recovery mode using one of these programs:

RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Mode
If necessary:
Download QTMLClient.dll & iTunesMobileDevice.dll for RecBoot
For MAC or PC
The Firmware Umbrella - TinyUmbrella
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My iPhone just shut down after a call, battery was around 60%, its power button doesn't work and iTunes doesn't recognize it. I can't put it in DFU mode because that's by pressing home and power simultaneously but I don't have a power button. I can't restores via iTunes because it doesn't recognize it. Try the following to rule out a software problem.
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

The warranty is not and has never been International. Warranty and support are only valid in the country of origin. The only exception is for devices sold in the EU where the EU is treated as one country for warranty and support purposes.

wait it for your iPhone to die then before it turns it plug it into iTunes while holding the home button and it will force it into recovery mode.
will be hard to get the timing right cause u will need to wait for the battery to die and charge up again. Other then that just take it to apple and have them replace the device for a fee.

Probably nothing, the phone has a high likelihood of being stolen and if you try to Restore it you will run into Activation Lock. Turn it in to the local authorities.

Ran update this morning. Now power button doesn't work and soft boot brings to the battery/cord icon as if there's no power. Can't get into anything. Any help on this?

Update for Windows was run this morning---it actually made me run it twice. I was initially able to use my phone but now I get nothing but the battery/power cord symbol. The power button doesn't work at all. I have tried soft boot of the down volume and power button. Seems to reboot but same screen appears. I cannot access anything on the phone. Based on the two attempts to process, I would have to say there was a problem with both install attempts. You may need to process a factory reset. Which model device do you have?

Well, that is going to make it difficult, since the first two steps of user troubleshooting require the use of the power button. I suggest you get that fixed.

Strange thing: my power button does not work and I cannot even log out or restart or shut it down from the menu! Everytime I need to restart, I have to either force it or hold the button for five minutes, but nothing else works!

1. Have you tried "Mac OS: Apple Pro Keyboard Shortcuts for Shut Down and Restart"?
2. What changes did you make to your Mac before this problem arose?
3. Are you using FruitMenu? If so, check for updates, disable it, or uninstall it.
4. After you next shut down, run the procedure specified in my "Resolving Disk, Permission, and Cache Corruption" FAQ. Perform the steps therein in the order specified.
5. An errant Startup or Login Item maybe the cause. My "Troubleshooting Startup and Login Items" FAQ can help you pin that down if such an item is causing the problem.
6. If none of the above, when you attempt to select Shut Down or Restart from the Apple menu and nothing happens, immediately check the ends of these Console logs for clues.

Iphone power button doesn't work and LED is on

Have a black 64gb iphone 4s, (ios 6.1.3), no case - for about 1yr4mo. last week i fell asleep on the phone and when i woke up, the power button wasn't working. I left the phone plugged in for the rest of the night, and when i got up it was working again. Last night I once again fell asleep on my iphone, and woke up to find both the power button not working AND the LED light is stuck on... its kind of like at maybe 5% brightness. I put the phone in a bag of rice for the rest of the night, but this morning now, the light is still on and LED still on. Phone never officially got wet, but I suspect there was enough moisture to potentially cause problems.
phone is out of warranty and i'm trying to figure out how long i wait until i start poking around at it to see if i can do anything with it...
anyone have any ideas?
